I was totally disappointed when after weeks of hype about ascended gear in WvW all we get is to trade badges instead of money but still need laurels. I know we are a minority but stop yanking our chains. I mean we get weapons and armor but have to pay gold to buy them when I can run all 3 paths of a dungeon in less than one hour and get enough tokens to buy a piece of armor.

Today we are defending our keep and I am getting hit by arrow cart fire but cant seem to hit their arrow cart. I have maxed out my arrow cart mastery so I should be able to hit any arrow cart they threw up. If the designers of these castles made real life castles I would leave and live in the open it has better protection. It is bad enough to get Mesmer pulled off the wall.

If you have amxed AC mastery, you will only have access to the last AC trait. The traits aren’t cumulative, so as you spend your wxp points in the traits, you will only have access to the last trait you mastered.

Some one cares more about PPT and less about the fights.

Get over it an play Fractals? I got my vial of condensed mists well before I hit fractals 10. In fact, my back piece is the first Ascended item I got.

I have only ever done one fractal, level 10, in my whole life. Don’t plan on going back there.They are just too long. Thankfully I got my one vial. And 3 months later when i got 250 blood at my own casual rate, I crafted it. But this is just one of my 5 characters. I don’t like farming and I don’t like fractals, so how am I going to equip my other characters with an ascended back items? Why are we forced to play a part of the game we genuinely dislike? PVE players complain about having to WvW to craft a legendary, but using double ports in EB JP isn’t WvW’ing.
PS it was my first ascended item too.

I’m happy as long as the green + ~15g a chest pays my WvW armor repair bill. I do wish armor repairs were completely removed like in sPvP.
This is way better than the rewards few months ago, without any ranking system or rewards for leveling. Personally, I have given up complaining about the difference in rewards in PVE and WvW. I understand why WvW can’t be more rewarding, it is because the amount you can do, or level, in tier 1 is very different to that in tier 8. The best part is, we have a chance (very very small) at a precursor. We are just addicted to RNG, so that is something to keep us interested for a while.

Correct me if i’m wrong but aren’t you able to buy trinkets for karma at the lvl 80 maps like cursed shore? And if you WvW you should have more karma then tokens.

You can only buy a handful of trinket sets from temples. Berkserker’s is an example of a set which you can not buy.

Precursor is just an exotic, so I think the chance of getting one is equal to getting any other exotic.

The chests can drop precursors. First person to get one post it here with a pic!!

I once guested to SoR and was in lion’s arch. The only people(very few) there were from [choo],[Tsym], etc. In SoS, we have all our LA commanders standing about and complimenting eachother’s legendary weapons and culture armor. So you see the difference. SoR was in 3rd place for quite some time. That is not a very attractive server for PVE’rs since they don’t get many PVE benefits. But this should change now that SoR is undoubtedly #1 NA.
On a more serious note, I am considering transferring to a tier 1 server. BG and JQ are out of the question since they are both FULL status 24×7. And JQ, well, I hold a long time grudge against them since they were a big part of SoS’s downward spiral to tier 4. Which leaves BG, but it is FULL. I have just recently got into WvW and spend 90% of my time in WvW, but it is not as half as fun as it used to be when SoS was in t1. My question is, is SoR active during UK hours? Is it too active such that there is a que on every borderland? If so, how long are the ques?

To be honest AC’s do way to much damage now to players however I feel they should also do less damage the farther they go out like the mesmer GS for example. The farther out they shoot the less “arrows” hit their targets and do less damage.

Mesmers do more damage weilding a GS if the the oppoent is farther away.

Make it so the less you run with the more mf you have. Example say solo you get 200% mf then with each other person you lose 10% till you hit 20 people and you get no bonus. This will helo with rewards as well for running small man teams. Thoughts?

Firstly, if you don’t want to fight in/against zergs, play sPvP. Secondly, if you play WvW for the rewards, you shouldn’t be there. I don’t want PVE people filling our ques and not contributing. WvW is PVP on an epic scale, so zergs are the way to play it.

Best way to gear up is via karma

For trash builds, sure.

Learn to play the game.

he has a point. nearly ALL karma stat combinations are completely worthless for PvE and you’d cripple your group completely if you’d be running with one of the karma sets.

I beg to differ, you can find Karma gear with the same stats as any of the dungeon gear. L2P.

Please tell me where I can buy a berserk armor set/weapons/trinkets with karma.

I love this dungeon and do it more than any other dungeon, except CoF p1. But wouldn’t it be better if it was more rewarding? Every dungeon other than AC and CM give lodestones, so why doesn’t arah? If not lodestones, let it drop t6 mats or some high level materials. Also, why don’t rewards scale with the difficulty of the boss? After beating a boss like GL and getting only 3 blues is disappointing. AC occasionaly drops t6 dust and others drop lodestones, so why does only arah not drop anything valuable?

It says ascended amulets and rings will be entering WvW, but what about back items?. I don’t want to do a fractal to get a condensed mist and then farm countless hours to craft the ascended back item. Now, I am very happy about ascended items finally coming to WvW, but will we ever see WvW exclusive skins? As of now, there is just one armor skin which you can get in WvW, which isn’t bad, but i would like some more variety. A few WvW exclusive weapon skins would be nice too. Most importantly, trinkets of stats other than soldier. WvW isn’t rewarding at all. In fact, I lose money most of the time when upgrading and buying seige blueprints. So if we can buy more things with badges of honour, like berserker’s or knight’s trinkets, it would be appreciated. The idea is to make badges of honour a WvW currency like how coins is the PVE currency.

I don’t get the point of reducing the drop rate. WvW players complain about always being broke because they spend all their money on upgrades/armor repair costs. And now with the reduction in BoH drop rate, we are going to be forced to buy seige with gold? Unless the idea was to get everyone to do the jumping puzzle( which is now per account per day >:( so even less BoHs there).

I have noticed a significant reduction in drop rate as well. I hardly ever get badges of honor any more. In the last 500 kills I have gotten just about 50 badges.

I honestly don’t understand why ascended items haven’t been added to WvW yet. I don’t mind if they are even rare drops from loot bags. The best WvW has got is armor of ever type of build, but trinkets are missing for all except soldier. Skins of fine and masterpiece rarity were added. Just one exclusive WvW skin while each dungeon has a skin of it’s own.

Has anyone been able to get back in yet?

AC is a level 35 dungeon, but I can’t level my characters there anymore. It is way harder to do AC with a level 35 character than doing arah(explorable) with a level 80. Earlier I tried AC p2, and the final boss is just frustrating and we ended up quiting the run. Since the update I have not done AC nearly as much as I used to. If it is a low level dungeon, then let only low levels do it and not make it so hard that only level 80s can complete it. Because now there isn’t any dungeon for level 35s

Been seeing this for months on end now. Stop saying that it’s harder for level 35 characters when it’s definitely not the case.

Are you sure it’s not hard for a group of level 35s to run the AC? Because it is HARD period.. Oh, wait, you may one of those elite players. Not everyone are like you ok? The weak players don’t have your kind of reflexes and also hand eye coordination. Some are just casual players.

And don’t give me that “Casual players” should not play this game or whatever excuses. Casual players also pay for this game, you also pay for this game, so does everyone else who plays this game. I have been in failed AC runs, I have been in AC runs that skipped many mobs and I have been in AC runs that runs for hours to complete. I also have been in AC runs where the group I am in just crushed everything that moves. I am sure that AC is NOT for players in the range of level 35 – 45.They will never survive without some level 80s with them. Unless they know how to skip here and exploit there. Or they are all elite players with level 80s but are leveling their level 35s.

The devs should re-lable the dungeon to level 45 and above. TA to level 65 and above…and some level 80s ONLY.

I didn’t say it wasn’t hard. I said it was not any harder for a level 35 than it is for a level 80. I was one of the volunteers that disproved everybody’s theory that it was “impossible” for a group of level 35 characters to complete the dungeon. Everybody in the group, myself included, agreed that it felt easier on 35s than it was on our downscaled 80s.

Are you sure about that? Because at level 35 you don’t have access to most of the traits you do have access to at level 80, or exotic weapon, some stacking sigils, etc. I run Arah nearly everyday, and I will admit AC is a tougher dungeon now. AC P2 boss is not hard, just frustrating. A boss like Lupicos is a pleasure to fight, while the death eater is just downright annoying. It is nearly impossible to melee it with aggro and it’s crippling attack can kill you in one shot if you are in a certain range of it.

He said it only works on creature kills, which implies it doesn’t work on chests, obviously. And as for dungeon chests, how many times did you test MF armor on it?
