Pot when BG runs from us, whats left to fight? If you guys would just man up and realise if you die in game you dont die in real life you could actually fight us.
hi Star, there is a difference between running, fighting smart and suicide, we calculate if our position is to our advantage as well as numbers, we dont just jump in whenever we see SOR and IRON. I am sure you know this IRON/SOR or any other server does this. it is not a question of you not die in game or not but the morale of BG people who runs with us, they should have the mind set that the commander is leading them to glory not slaughter.

Starscream, get off the forums and do something worthwhile for your server. If everyone believed anything you remotely said, we would all believe SoR are dominating Tier 1 week in and week out, when truth be told, you all are slowly but surely heading out of Tier 1. But yeah, keep talking and believing your own drivel; we certainly do not give it any heed. That video was boomtastic – simply showing why we on BG call IRON….IRUN…and pathetic.
Ok so i went back and watch the vid. All I seen was a lot of fights that were cut off in the middle with no real winner. I`m guessing Titan decided to cut off right before CA crumbled, ofc he can always prove me wrong by posting the full vids………… You have any vids of you wiping IRON Rigel? I`m going to assume no as you are probably just a face in the crowd that flees from us.

Some of you need to get it out of your head that you were promised this and that. The PPT is just a simple number that ticks and nothing more. It does not affect your game play in any way shape or form, and you’d be a complete fool to think it does. Nothing changes, notta, zilch, zero, just a lot less complaining.
Put it this way, this method was heavily favored before and for good reason. The amount of complaining that goes on with people is coming because of blowout matches. The easiest, quickest, and cheapest way for Anet to solve it is do one of 2 things:
1). Remove it entirely
2). Shut it off during off hours when these blowouts occur
The amount of people it’d pacify greatly outnumbers those it’d tick off. Most people say they play for the fights? Fine prove it then…
Question is, what do those people do if/when Anet decides to tinker with WvW’s biggest handicap (PPT), do people switch to different servers, continue on, or quit? Hint: 2 out of the 3 would drastically help the majority of the servers in WvW..
So ill ask you again, out of all possible solutions, given the path of least resistance, what route do you think Anet will take? If your game is based on PPt in anyway, your just setting yourself up for disappointment and should probably find a new game entirely.
If you remove PPT during off hours, more than half the people won’t show up. Who am I to fight then? Sorry, this solution doesn’t work for me.

Anet has a very simple and easy way to fix the majority of these mass blow outs. In doing so, will probably make the matches a lot closer, and it may even indirectly force players/guilds to change servers.
Turn the PPT off during the hours that time zone would generally be sleeping. Like say 10pm to 8am. Mismatched points.. gone.
People generally play the game for the fights, so it shouldn’t make a lick of difference whether or not the PPT is even ticking. Work done in off hours to maintain as much of the map as they can (and siege it up) is just as valuable during prime time.
If PPT is important to those who are playing and want to be on when it ticks, change servers then, simple. You’ll probably find the server populations naturally balancing out.
Anet.. make it happen, you’d solve so many problems over night by doing so.

No additions or changes because it takes time (2 weeks from GW2’s 1 year anniversary if you’re counting)
Either the WvW devs are hopelessly incompetent or ANet doesn’t provide the same level of support that it does for other game modes. When mini games get more development than one of GW2’s main game types, something is wrong and ANet need to be called on it.
At least be fair when you are making lists like that.
You are ignoring quite a few things added in WvW.
Were they significant? Many more things were added to PVE, but those were not as siginificant. I will agree, wvw random matchups were a good addition, but I don’t see any others. wxp and the abilities disappointed me. Not to mention, they are not refundable, so I still haven’t decided what to use them on X.X. I’m always scared something mindblowing will come out and I will not have the points to use. Also, could wxp be made account bound? I play multiple characters and I don’t want to be at a disadvantage because of that.

I think the WvW community is just frustrated at the pace that it has been updated versus the rest of the game.
Funny thing is actual Updates like WvW is requesting is only a little bit faster for the rest of the game. A lot of this is also because a lot of the updates that were done effects effects WvW too. Wallet effects WvW. LFG system Effects WvW. Crafting champ drops. Effects WvW. I could go on.
The rest of the PvE stuff well…….. ArenaNet has amazing tools and policies that allows them to put out stuff this fast is all I can say.
The things you mentioned certainly make WvW more convenient, but the mechanics of wvw haven’t changed at all. Rewards are as low as they always have been. Most of the time I don’t even get rewarded for killing the champ for various reasons. Either enemy forces are coming in and we have to hold them off while a few kill the champ, etc
All the mad, coming home tonight and 1am > 3:30am tonight in SoR BL, running 5-10 people (non-MERC) was hilarious attacking hills and watching the 30 man group come in to clean us up only to lose the keep 5mins later.
Then 3 people on south bay opening it up for [SG], I hope you enjoyed your bay cap.

When you have a single commander, and only enough guys to field one force across multiple maps, you do what you can.
Though I can see what you’re going for, it kind of spoils the humor.
During oceanic it is very similar on BG. But we float one zerg on multiple maps to save important structures. Learn to prioritize and organize yourselves accordingly.
And that is double teaming? It’s a 3 way match, expect to get hit by both teams by sheer co incidence.

I didn’t say we don’t double team, but starscream’s example was rubbish. Don’t cry now that JQ, your largest guild, grew a pair. BG has been a victim of double teaming in the past and I have experienced it. But after SoR back stabbed them, JQ is playing their own game, quit complaining.

I feel sorry for these that transfer over SoR to wvw because they don’t find backbones of a real wvw server goal from any of their residents guilds. When you post a recruitment thread don’t forget to tell newcomers to SoR that they will fight alone for the week match victory…
I feel sorry for BG players, the people playing in EB atm running with the main CA force. Is it teir server goal to run from SoR every time they show up? I mean you are in WvW to fight other players, but kitten you guys get scared fast.

He transferred to an already stacked BG? During his farewell speech months past, he kept blabbing about how he left JQ to DB for a “challenge”….laughable!
And SoR is equally stacked. In those days, JQ would win every match without putting in much effort, but BG and SoR are pretty close. Plus, you have to look at time zones. From what I have heard, he plays EU/NA. SoR’s EU and NA are superior to BG’s, no doubt about that, so noodles will be challenged enough.
^ What about the new graphic options and champion loot? I suppose those won’t count because they were added to PvE as well?
If you want to pvdoor all day, no problem. But I prefer hours long seiges.
Hour long sieges hardly exist anymore. Now it’s just lol 20 Omega rush. Fail? Move maps and try again.

The fights are what we make of it. Sadly, the mentality in some tiers are of pvdoor or move to another structure if there is too much resistance. I wasn’t happy with it on my prevoius server so I transferred.

Who cares about wxp, honestly? I don’t give a kitten about my rank or abilities like supply mastery. I just need wvw to let me break even at least. With the major loot nerf in wvw, I need to dungeon to make money, but now I can only do a limited number of dungoens a day. And Anet, there is no way in hell you are going to make me farm living story content. Killing afk mobs in zergs larger than the ones in wvw is just plain boring. Or leaving auto attack on while hurting the boss.
What does need to be done about wvw is improving skill lag and increasing rewards.
Can you actually compare world boss events and living story farming to wvw in terms of rewards?

So anyway, everything is either 1, 1.5 or 3g. Mostly everything is 1g. It seems not much thought was given in the rewards, gg. Oh and not to mention the best part, it can only be done once a day.

We enjoy open field . 95% of the BG prefer AC, walls and centaur runes.
Ask 100 people in gw2 “who is the strongest wvw guild” . Then ask yourself what they did for the ppt.

How would I know what the strongest guild did for PPT? And I bet their contribution wasn’t nil. I have seen IRON trying to take all types of structures, so I think I would have to believe that the ‘5%’ on the forums who troll and talk about playing for fights are in fact lying.
When you say you play for fights, you have to mean you ‘prefer’ open fights. You aren’t going to just run between structures waiting for players to engage you right? If you do that, you aren’t a threat and the chances of actually getting into a fight is much lower.

Yep. I wonder if you understand it, because that is what we have been doing to all your structures for the passed few hours. The downside is, I am only recieving 4wxp per player.
Tarkus we all know that IRON is one guild, ok we have around 4000 members total but one guild cannot control 4 zones, which is why one guild cannot control the overall ppt. Plus we win more fights than we lose so whats that saying about your guilds? (and dont try using the numbers argument, as we are very often outnumbered)
Why doesn’t IRON always display this amount of humility?
Really frustrating update. I have been leveling characters for months for tokens, and without any warning, HUGE token nerf. If we recieve 60 tokens once a day for just one character, then you should atleast make dungeon armor permanatly account bound. I use multiple armor sets for each character, so how do you expect me to gear up now? There is the option of buying armor right off the TP, but dungeons took a hard gold nerf too. There is the last option of buying armor with badges, but THAT GOT NERFED TOO!

You’d be silly to not have at least one point in Supply Mastery. Just saying . Same with the two build related ones.
Reality and what you see on the surface are not necessarily the same thing.
There is no problem with supply mastery, but Anet only introduces supply mastery? Compare it to the amount PVE recieves monthly and can you tell me with a straight face it is actually comparable? How many updates and how much new content has WvW exactly recieved? Anet makes existing problems even worse.
It’s about the time your absorb/reflect skill gets active. If he unleashes a projectile and then your skill get active, the projectile will ignore that skill.
I have activated feedback after the rings appear and have had no problem in the past.

If 20 people are standing on top of a thief and the thief is still alive the 20 have really huge basic knowledge issues. Above all becouse the kitten thief is NOT invulnerable while stealthed.

Sad part is, it is the only really farmable place in gw2. Anet has been trying to get people into many aspects of the game, but the recent change to dungeons will tell you otherwise. I am talking about relative dungeon rewards.
Are his ranged attacks considered projectiles(Not the life leeching move)? A mesmer’s feedback bubble can reflect them, a gurdian’s wall of reflection can reflect them, an elementalist’s magnetic aura can’t and a theif’s smoke screen can’t absorb them. All of these skills are supposed to counter projectiles, but only some actually work. I was considering using a focus on ele, but I am not sure the swirling winds skill will absorb the projectiles. If you have any idea whether it will or not, please tell me. Thank you.
