Terrible way of rewarding. Instead of throwing rewards at the winning server, we should be rewarded on the basis of how much time we invested and accomplished in wvw. This is just a reason for the faiweathers to transfer to the top of each league and contribute a minimal amount if not at all. With the new system of points for spiking, I don’t want them populating my server.

I don’t think rewards are needed to motivate us to capture these points. The points for spiking is too valuable to let the enemy have the buff.

I have a proposal.

We will cease complaining about leagues: if, and only if, Devon Carver agrees to do a weekly video announcing the results.

We further stipulate that he must act and sound genuinely surprised when a higher ranked server beats a lower ranked one. He should also give a list of reasons why the matches the proceeding week are interesting and the outcome is in doubt.

I want him to go on record, explaining how Crystal Desert vs Fort Aspenwood vs Jade Quarry is a competitive match and how it is anyone’s game.

If he is willing to do this, aka do to himself what he’s doing to us (insulting intelligence); then we can admit that we are all in this together and will cease pestering them on these boards.

This week not being able to face SoR has been so boring. I took to AC dungeon for the first time in months last night out of boredom.

If arrow carts were removed WvW would be so much better. Or add a LoS requirement like balista do.

Would be best if all seige except rams were just removed. More enjoyable fights.

This actually demonstrates the difference between SoR and JQ. JQ ended the week 20k ahead of TC. I for one am waiting to see the score at the end of this week.

I don’t actually play on SoR. But from my experience, SoR has the most skilled militia only because most of the people are in organised guilds. Put them all in TS3 and you have a very skilled group which is nearly at the level of any of those guilds. Excluding BG and SoR, all the servers are made up of a majority of PVX guilds. These people do not have the best armor sets, trait setups, some are even upleveled.

I just laugh every time I hear such a statement. I zerg and to the contrary, I almost never hit 1. I play a d/d ele, so I just cycle through all the attunements. When everything is on Cool down, I use #1 of air, which doesn’t last more than a few seconds. I’m sure there are many more like me. But I guess that is how you play in a zerg….. My advice, join an organised guild.

I have to agree with you. BG’s server philosophy has always been about PPT. Their lead guild MERC has inculcated that mantra to the rest of their server mates and it has produced results. To date, BG has never left T1 and T2.

i’m na like most of the transfers the top 3 servers will be getting. i do have insomnia so i am sure that counts. thanks for being the only person to give a reasonable answer i’m sure i am not the only one who wants to know who will be winning the matchup although from your data the top 3 are somewhat volatile with bg being the most consistent they could all reasonably win the league depending on how the guilds in them realign. shame about the other 9 servers though.

BG was in tier 2 on it’s own. It’s only after MERC moved did BG move to tier 1.

Why would they lock transfers when they can make so much money off them? Integrity of WvW be dammed, if there’s a cash grab available they’re going to go for it, and this is about as blatant as it gets.

Not to mention the hard core trolls have bought a spare copy or two of the game.

Do you have an idea how to address any of these problems? I sure can’t. Stop crying about something you know there isn’t a solution for. These are problems with the community and not the game.
Server transfers isn’t going to be as bad a problem as some might think. Take paid transfers for example. JQ got super stacked, but many guilds ended up transferring out due to the lack of competition in 2 months.

The guards are PvE – they are only there to make the place look busy when no-one’s about.
I say get rid of them, all of them – if a server can’t be bothered to defend it’s camps, choke points and towers properly they deserve to lose.

Some servers don’t have high enough population at certain times of the day to even cover one camp, let alone guard everything on the map.

I don’t agree with buffing them, though; this is a PvP mode and the NPC guards should still play a minimal role.

If your server can’t cover one camp, it’s a pathetic server. I don’t mind giving NPCs utility skills + 5 weapon skills, but don’t scale the HP to insane levels in wvw. That is one reason why I don’t play PVE.
