Henge of Denravi Server

The skill itself become unbalance at larger scale due to the larger amount of conditions available, adding the capability to do unblockable spread up to 25 stacks worth of conditions to 5 targets, it becomes rather deadly. Though one could argue that conditions can be equally cleansed in a larger zerg, however, it can also be argued that it require coordination to do so since overlapping cleanse is common occurrence. When one compare the cleanse and conditions application, the latter is much more consistent in a larger zerg.
pretty much for showing off or the skin
able to switch stats easily but doesn’t come with the capability to do the same for sigil already defeat the purpose of flexibility

If CD do not want to be host server, I assume need to shake off enough players to drop out of top 12. I wonder which you would prefer. But you from SF, so you can’t speak about CD. So, either number 13 or 14 server become fat enough to replace CD or CD continue to be host server.
PS: I saw outman buff during OCX and SEA too, so no worries, we got outman buff too!
(edited by SkyShroud.2865)
CD apparently is top 12 biggest server, even if it is the last of top 12, it is still top 12.
I have a guild LFG post of less than 5000 characters (obviously), I try to edit the post not by adding more characters but deleting characters, it gave me 5000 characters limit error.
During launch, a dev mentioned that 5 aoe was set due to technical limitation.
One big map not possible due to technical limitation. If one big map was possible, we would not have 5-target max aoe too.
Hi new players,
Condition is heavily buffed (by nerfing anti-condition food, buffing condition skills etc) in attempt to boost condition usage since previously conditions are easily countered. However, conditions have been buffed way too much such that there have been a series of slight nerfing here and there for conditions.
Even then, condition can be too much for general wvw because of certain skill called epidemic. Why is epidemic so superior? In power-base fighting, it is very much avoidable as we can simply move out of the aoes or block it or healing or damage mitigation through armor, food, utility, traits, etc. In other words, even bad pugs can be carried to certain extend.
Condition on the other hand, there are options but these options are not easy to be executed and more limited as compared to power-base, especially in pug wvw. Why? Because of “I want to play how I like”. Condition while easy to be countered with resistance or proper cleanse, if general wvw have players using skills or classes not doing either, condition will rule over them because one badly conditioned player is all “epidemic” need to spread the condition around and it cannot be blocked except by dodging or running 600 apart but reality is, you not gonna find a zerg with individuals of 600 distance apart from each other since they will be grinded down by power-base classes.
Condition still inferior in gvg as the team are designed to counter conditions, without a weak link.

If you are playing on NA, come to HOD since you will get a lot of fights as don’t have many NA guilds, though we do have pugs.
You can corrupt or remove resistance thus resistance isn’t absolute, unless you have an army made up of herald.

basically, decos sufficient for ppl to make a snow landscape
So many weird replies.
To put it simple, guardian is like your normal soldiers, you always need a lot of soldiers. You don’t see more artillery than soldiers, right?
Why we need soldiers? Like others already mentioned, team sustain.
There is a guild dev team and the last time I heard from them, was many many many months ago.

Erm?
People come and go, game will decline regardless you like it or not, this is the reality. When game decline, merger naturally occur, that’s the cycle of game. Though anet could have delay the decline by doing more productive things. Also, claiming that T1 is empty, which timezone are you referring to or are you simply exaggerating things like all other T1 people always do?
T1 is only active over the weekend. After Monday its pretty empty for T1 all around.
Pretty empty referring to what? 50-men squad? 10-men squad?
10 men
10-men all around is really interesting, I guess it means that even T4 can beat T1 now.

I don’t care about server, really. My competitive nature is what makes me seems like I care about server.
Want a boring possible ktrain, go to what they mentioned. Looking for fights, go somewhere else.
Gw2 is highly dependable on single core performance since it lacks scalability.
You can check https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html for benchmark about single thread performance.
Also, on the note of multi core supports, many games these days still lack proper scalability support so having numerous cores don’t really matters much for gaming. It will still takes a couple of years until the different game studios finally move towards to better multi cores support to unlock more performance potential.

Repping is really just a hold-over from a bygone era. Players no longer contribute to the guild they’re representing in everyday play. They can only increase guild favor during guild missions. So, who cares what’s rep’ed on a daily basis, right?
There are some logical considerations…
- If a player is not engaging with the guild or guild members much, she could be seen as uninterested in the welfare of the guild in general. Therefore, she could be asked to leave in favor of someone who’d be more invested in that guild.
- If a guild is set up as an R-mode group and it’s not getting enough player support in R-mode then something should change; the guild may take in more R-mode style players to support itself and let go of those who primarily play other modes.
- Some guilds want a player’s singular guild focus. These leaders are typically against multi-guilding in general. Know what the guild policies are going in.
- Anet currently uses rep to determine use of guild hall and services. They may be able to make a work-around and give players full access to all halls they are members of. Or, this may be really tough to do and not worth their time.
Obviously, I don’t know what your friend’s background situation is but just because she left this partiuclar guild, doesn’t mean you can’t still play with her, join her in a chat room or even another guild. I hope she finds a more welcoming guild for her playstyle.
To explain this situation better, she is very active player who participate guild events on weekly basis. But she is in 2 guild that constantly demanding reping, she is force to give up one basically and now she is unable to participate in the guild events that we usually do togather if most of you see reping is a good feature i dont mind that, but a good suggestion of would be not let other see if you are reping or not on the guild panel. you know, that square thing next to your name to show your reping or not status.
No1 ask her to be in two guilds that has rep requirements. She made that choice herself, the guilds are upfront about their rep requirements. Rules are rules. In rome do as the romans do. It is childish to blame guilds for their rules and not blame the individual for joining two rep required guilds which obviously has conflict of interests. Obvious seed of drama.

lolololol.
Finally someone noticed, It did be weird if I am the one saying it but yes, why doesn’t she just comply and rep the guild if she really like that guild?
Gw2 vocal community seems to be more towards individual freedom while ignoring the fact that the the organizers too are sacrificing to organise things. People are completely oblivion to the fact that organizers are not paid to organise. I find it hypocritical for people criticizing the ones who are putting things together and not the ones leveraging the benefits.
Someone may be in a guild and not join in activities. They may mainly like chatting with other members or like grouping with small numbers of guildies to accomplish personal tasks.
And some Guilds do pay their Commanders. But since GW2 is a form of entertainment, no one should do something that they don’t simply enjoy.
Totally no idea what you referring to in first paragraph.
Regardless, on the topic of “fun”. It isn’t fun to invest lots of time plus golds in a guild and only to find the guild leader say “We are gonna disband” then quickly disappear after that, not passing it down to someone else. Let’s be real here, a lot of people create guilds for their personal goal and once that goal is met, they can and will choose to disappear.
This ease of repping and multi guilding are encouraging this behavior. I have seen so many guilds, especially guilds with leaders that literally attack rep rule guilds in their recruitment, disappearing within a year, after recruiting hundreds of players and having those players invested a combined sum of thousands of golds. Sorry, but I don’t find anything fun in joining guilds that will just disappear soon after, I even find it disgusting to twist the word “freedom” for personal gain. It might be alright for casuals that come and go but it definitely isn’t fun for regulars seeking for long term community.
Yes, guild hall deco.
SAB has a large foundation, it did be nice if Wintersday has that big piece of foundation too to create a large landscape of snow land.
For PvE, it is mainly used as a glorified LFG.
World Event guilds, you could use LFG but people find using guild to group up likemind players are way easier and convenient than using LFG.
Raid Guilds, you could use LFG but people find using guild to filter the players is better than LFG unfiltered spam.
Guild Missions? It is a convenient excuse for people to claim guild still has its use but it also easy for anyone to create a guild missions only guild and open it to everyone to join on ad-hoc basis.
Social. This is the only usage that still has humanity feels in it. Yet, the above 3 outshine this social thingy. Only the minority cares about social while majority is simply convenience and rewards. Even this social thing don’t last long, especially if the guild is only involve in PvE.
For WvW
Honor and glory, camaraderie of long hours, a legit expression of guild pride. Sadly, only in WvW, guilds retain its traditional feels simply duet to nature of the game play.
For PvP
Glorified PvP team of 5 person, sometimes 2 – 3 teams.
Ermm……
Since when rep rule stop people from joining more than one guild?
If you can have guilds that have rep rule, you can also have guilds that don’t require you to rep. Both are simply different sides of the same coin.
There isn’t a lot of large fully functioning PvX guilds around. What is fully functioning PvX guild? Means guild that large and robust enough to have WvW / Raid / PvP / PvE activities. Great majority of PvX guilds are just PvX in name and generally only does specific PvE things. In order to create a real PvX guild, it takes a lot more efforts which plenty others not willing to put in. Creating a specific mode guild is way more easier than a true PvX guild, furthermore, it is way more easier to disband such a guild than a true PvX guild (due to different personal values)
I notice that the wintersday deco does not has a large snow pile to be used as a foundation which means we have to use the normal snow pile that is pretty small and if we have to lay a foundation using it, it will use a lot of objects and it seems rather ugly as well. It did be nice if you can add a large snow pile.
In that case, aren’t you assuming then? In my case, I am not even assuming, I am questioning base on what is written. Logical and sound.
If you wanna assume, we can start assuming that the person herself has issue therefore the leader does not want to give exception, logically thinking that she was asked to leave which means discussion took place.
Likewise, how you know that rep is not for rep only in pve or rep only in wvw? OP did’t indicate those. Ad Hominem? You are adding in own assumptions to your arguments while we are merely stating cold hard fact written by OP himself/herself.
lolololol.

There are technical and philosophy arguments over repping, one need to understand the two differences before arguing about the needs of repping.
The technical arguments on repping is simply the programming perspective, for the system to identify which guild the user is currently utilizing the guild services. As a added bonus, gw2 dev added features like favors, commendations, guild tag etc. to build around this limitations. Likewise, players argue the needs of repping exactly base on this technical limitations.
To ask repping to be removed technically is to ask the system to recognize the guild not as a singularity but as a collective, it will not happen because every guild hall are different in many things. Likewise, are you going to show all 5 guild tags?
The philosophy arguments have nothing to do with the technical arguments. Philosophy arguments goes along the line like
Philosophy arguments can be way much than technical arguments but at the end of the day, there is only one thing people need to absolutely know and that is…..
Guild leaders can decide what kind of people, rules and etc. for their guilds. Players can decide to join or not join the guilds and if they do join, players are all subjected to the rules of those guilds. If players do not like the rules, start their own guilds and perhaps, one day, you will become wise enough to see why different guild leaders do things differently and come to understand their decisions.
First or nothing, how does it affect the people who don’t care about winning or losing?
It did be nice if it change to increase participation by 50, exceeding the cap.
If you want everything to be free, then, you are looking for creative mode?
guild hall arena, add random aoe strike features and etc…hows that?
Hey, I like sister guilds, I miss the old mmo days where sister guilds are made to create a internal climbable ladder sorting from the best to the new.
It isn’t new, that is how SG is used in offensive manner. All commanders with some brains who are leading a blob against a smaller group always do this. However, the problem with that is SG will barely cover itself so if you have good stealth users, you can still disable SG from behind. Once SG is disabled, try take out sg asap.
Boonshare meta used to be the key to effectively kill things like epi. With boonshare gone, you pretty much left with only herald’s pain absorb as the next biggest resistance provider.
If you make epi blockable, it does makes a lot of difference as the chance to land it become subjective.
1. ermmm………. I had outman buff with a 40-men zerg before, you know?
2. Fair enough, tag will need it to +5
3. Problem is possible numerous flooding from multiple usages
4. Elaborate please.

In my opinion, WvW Season 1 was one of the best things that has happened to this game.
Any plans for Season 2?
Season 2 already happened.
when megaserver didn’t exist, TC was a RP server
JQ – Bandwagon server for casual SEA
BG – Bandwagon server for casual JQ
Mag – Bandwagon server for casual T1
SOS – Used to be aus/nz server, now just a relic of the past with one or two guilds dominating the scene
TC – Rest stop for the bandwagoners
SBI – Used to be korean server, now just relic of the past. Still attractive server for the newbies.
DB – Still the tw/hk server but NA always implode over there.
CD – Most implosion server and used to be sg/my server, now just relic of the past with one or two guilds dominating the scene
FA – Used to be fight server, now just yet another server where many “fight” guilds stack on.
SOR – T1 relic, low pop casual server
YB – Casual T2 server
SF – Refugee camp for some former HOD
FC / ET / EB / DH / IOJ – Low pop casual server
HOD – T1 relic, now just a unattractive server thus low pop with guilds in most timezones
NSP – Slightly higher pop than HOD but pretty casual
GOM / KN / BP / DR / AR – Are they alive? I don’t know. I assume pretty dead and just servers to hop between links.

It doesn’t change the playstyle much, commanders usually will value T3 more than T0 unless you have kitten commanders that abandon T3 for T0 then ignts.
The PPT is just reflecting the true value of T0 T3 T2 T1 , nothing more. However, I feel the value given is too high that it oveshadow the value of PPK.
From the current pattern, I assume anet will continue to make new maps for each episode and that will accompany new items similar to blood rubies and so on. The problem is that these items are taking up slots and sometimes, people just want to store them instead of salvage it incase they want to buy the trinkets for their toons.
Please turn all those token like items into actual tokens. If people want to turn them into magic, then approach a NPC for it. If people want to get the actual item like Fresh Winterberries, again, approach a NPC for it. Alternatively, we can approach a NPC to turn them into tokens. Either way, please think of our limited bag slots =(
(edited by SkyShroud.2865)
PPK impact has tremendously weakened.
OP, why r u so salty about others using certain builds?
That will be hard on guilds that recruit players from other servers, especially on lower tier where off hours guilds mostly recruit not from within the servers but rather from other servers.
If you wanna lock upper tiers, sure but don’t drag the lower tiers into it when they need the most help.
Opposite: The guild knows when to recruit people from other servers and when not. A week before transfer opens you can talk to everyone you like to join your server/guild, and as it opens they can transfer. Yes its harder, but with some organisation it could be quite nice.
Also, transfering to a server is not a normal thing then, transfering will have a value.
Opposite? Have you even recruit from other servers to even know how it works? No, are you even a guild leader yourself? Apparently you are from Piken Square, a “Very High” server, doubt you understand the struggle of the lower tiers.

blackgate need help !
Isn’t the siege cap fixed along with the despawn timer?
Anyway, I find canon really useful as a siege clearer. There are places where ball can’t hit due to limited high ground and also, it takes a lot of shots to clear siege. However, canon is not that limited by the line of sight compare to ball and it clear siege way faster than ball too. Another problem with ball is that it has no FPS feature thus if target is out of that clickable range, the ball can’t hit it any more even though we know ball can hit way further.
I tend to build canon just to clear those loads of ACs on the walls and gates.

A idea that implement F2p MMORPG designs of having upkeep cost. However, the problem is exactly the upkeep costs which will deter people from wanting to form an alliance, need a alternative way to decide active alliance from inactive ones.
Also, outside of the upkeep cost, this suggestion is similar to that alliance thingy talked about in another thread.
In a close balance, tier should be meaningless as a reason for uneven fights and obviously, you are not asking for balance.
