I found it comical that your commander was using ascalonian mage potion while also running a tag, i hope he wasnt thinking it would make people follow him better, theyre only suppose to be used when youre running and dont want pugs, you guys probably needed the extra help. From what i see, the fights are all an equal number between a guild group and pugs, id hope the guild group would win.

Every game has free updates…with much more content, these updates include little content with no replay value but farming.

The missus and I talked about the fact that the main point of my post would be overlooked, seems you proved that correct. Let me lay it out for you.

You have condition x, condition x plays a present role in your day to day life, sometimes condition x gets so bad that it stops you living your life the way you want it to, in such a way that it causes grievous amounts of pain. Now, throw in a poorly written story line with horrendous character development, sub-twilight shovel face level, which includes your condition in a ridiculous fashion, almost as if it were a Ha-Ha joke, and tell me if you arn’t offended.

The writing is terrible in the living story. With the way the lesbian relationship/kiss was forced, its not hard pressed to get offended when you have a severe condition that was thrown in like a cutesy little quirk. We’re both for it when game developers include disorders into their games, to make those with those disorders feel included, but when its thrown in in such a poor fashion, its offensive.

The whole cosmic sword thing is pretty far from the necromancer theme. They are fairly down to earth. A Cosmic sword fits the mesmer far better. But honestly, it doesn’t really matter.

Also, the Axe does fit the necro’s theme rather well. Considering much of necromancy in GW lore involves ice. More so if you follow the human lore of necromancy.

Never really got into Guild Wars lore, 7 years + of warcraft lore(dont worry…quit 14 months ago) and you get burnt out on other game lore. I might some day, as long as its not like the current living story…

I always think of necro themes as the more generic necro, dark and deathly. You’re right in saying twilight is more cosmic but its definitely has the dark part down.

Never liked the Necro Axe, its only real use is #2 and #1 is so pitiful and its not even a cleave. Axe is used to generate death shroud, thats about it.

To be honest, none of the legendaries fit the necro theme, the only one i would think would be twilight, which cant be wielded due to being a great sword.

Decided to start trying my luck in the MF with rare greatswords, started this week and i thought i was lucky when i got dawn, a few days ago, but then this happened today….within a minute..

I usually hang out around the traders forum now, use to run civis but after a while of doing it by yourself it gets annoying quick. I farm the dolyaks, children escort and hub defense for bags and karma, im working on my second incinerator which i only have 296 cof dungeon tokens and 74 obsidian shards to go. I get on average 200+ bags and 5k+karma an hour without a group. During the down time between event spawns, ill run into the TP and save the Civilian in there.

All in all, you could say im a farmer and a Civilian rescuer. I get my loot and save about 75+ civis in the hour.

The way they have it now, small chance in an event bag, i see no problem with. It gives a chance for people who werent able to do the previous events a shot at the items.

Saying that, its obvious that some members of the community have a problem with cleavage coverage. So, skimpy leg armors! yes! More garters and stockings! Could put a tabard type piece of cloth to make them not too revealing but im sure some people would still complain =)

I managed to do it last night by joining a mostly JQ overflow. It can be done with 40 people, 10 in each corner of the map, if the main zerg gets the miasma aswell.

Leave it the way it is, the one time i go around saving civilians it bugs and i get no extra credit. I personally think it was the games message to me to stop being helpful and get more bags. I saved 100+ civis for nothing >.>

I ask only because I do have a 500 tailor but would prefer to level my Leatherworker up and craft it through that way. If I can craft it later, as long as I have the materials from this event stored, that would be great. I don’t need the backpiece now/today/or yesterday but I would like to have it eventually once I wanted to craft it. Currently, I just don’t want to craft it.

as long as you have all the necessary pieces, mats and crafting patterns, then yes. yes you can.

How many on average, per run, are you guys able to get?

On average i get 140, without a group, but my record is 176!

The tricks are definitely to have strong aoe, staff guard/staff ele/ staff necro, and to keep fighting/moving.

Exactly =) though, the application spots would be close together if indeed you were trying to minimize the damage. The damage would increase at range intervals 0-500 lowest, 500-1000 medium, 1000+ highest or something along those lines. I think that would be a cool condition, punishes you for escaping a fight, would really be a pain for thieves and warriors =p a necro’s paradise.

the application spot is where you were at the time of application, no the one applying torment.

Pretty much agree, no one seems to not move with torment, death sentence if you do.

What if torment did more damage to you the further away from the application spot you moved? That would give the chance to avoid other attacks but still have a more sensible means of punishment. Have it appear as a chain to the spot from the character, necros give a green chain, thieves a black chain, mesmers a pink chain, etc.

just a thought.

Seems like people are only willing to stick to zergs, no matter what environment theyre thrown into. This game design, the one that promotes zerging, and player base,those that only promote zerging, are some of the most terrible in mmo industry.

It would only be an exploit if it was invulnerable to attack, its not. Siege isnt immune to damage like players are, the cliff within that NE tower or north of the NE sentry are perfect places to put a counter treb. Treb it back…

its not actually an exploit, its placed in an area where siege can be placed. It may not work on all the borderlands but just maybe the green one. Across the path from the eastern vendors by the stone wall, theres an area there without a siege lock on it. Its not an exploit, an opportunistic move instead.

You may not have been involved in the events that caused [Mend] to leave HoD but its obvious what side you’re on, the fact that your harbor this much animosity against them after leaving shows it all. I could understand if they made personal attacks on you over an extended period of time, id understand that completely, but from the what you’re telling me, they did not.

You are making posts in accordance to what you experienced, im making posts on what im experiencing with [Mend] at the current date and time. Who says either of us is wrong? But…its obvious by the posts of you and fellow HoD players on these forums ( not calling out HoD as a whole) from this weeks match up thread and those previous, that the poisonous element ,you mentioned, is still alive and well on HoD.

I wasnt the one to come onto this match up and start throwing the dirt, i came in here after the first few throws to defend a guild and its members that i like, players who provide a valued service to our WvW community. If this makes me ignorant and idiotic then so be it, the next time you stand up for someone, just remember your own words.

But then again, standing up for a fellow IoJ guild that you respect is neither of those things, coming to a forum and spitting vile, obviously because youre still angered by something that didnt affect you personally, is.

I dont get all of this…are you guys mad at [Mend] because you dont like them or because they left? From what i gather from looking at it, seemed they werent all too popular but the main reason for the hate is that they left the server. A “how dare you leave us even though we hate you” kind of thing, something [Buns] knows all too well.

[Mend] is a great guild and has many likable and skilled players, I for one am happy they decided to stay on IoJ when a lot of other guilds decided it was time to leave. Major props to them for being the only transfer guild to stay the entire season, even though we were matched up in impossible to win matchups, with much higher tiered servers.

Haven’t been on much this match up but im sure theres plenty of killing and being killed by either side, it just so happens that one side is the only one forum waring over it.

I also wonder what the previous parts of that conversation was but theres no need to post it all over these forums, from what im seeing of this matchup….[Mend] was right in leaving Hod.

Wasn’t surprised to find HoD camping our spawn on their BL (yes i know, two more exits…but there wasnt any HoD at those!) but i was surprised when they started building siege, especially when they had nearly twice the people as us. Downed quite a few of you but alas, couldnt secure a lot of caps due to the sheer amount of rezzers available.
