Have to agree. As someone who adored GW1 GvG, the guild wars 2 version is a blobby unstructured mess. Not the tense highly structured form of it’s predecessor. Unfortunately Guild Wars 2 has attracted the mass MMO market that has no idea of proper clinical and clean PvP which Guild Wars is.

I rather see a more developed sPvP with interesting game modes than wasting resources on making a map for zergfesting.

My main is Guardian, I play WvW casually on a T2 server, and I don’t remember last time being killed by a Thief, nor do I have any problems with Perma Stealth.

Only time o.s has made games look "better" is when windows forces you to have to upgrade to get the latest dx, which happend from windows xp that didnt support dx11.

So even if you did go from windows xp to windows 8, gw2 should’nt look any better since gw2 is dx9.

Going to WIndows 8 grants a significant speed boost to those who have over 4 processor cores.

ANyways, there’s a bug with 8.1 in GW2 at this moment where if you alt tab the game crashes.

Is not a bug with Guild Wars, every single game played on fullscreen crashes when you try to alt+tab back into it (atleast on AMD cards) so it’s either a problem with the new GPU drivers or the OS itself (probably the former).

Windows 8 is just trash, the only good thing about it, is the boot time. But still, win8 pc’s use GPT harddrive partition tables. It’s sooooo bad. First thing i did with my win8 laptop from my work, was removing everything and set the partition table to MBR. Why is GPT bad? cus it’s only compatible with win8 and maybe 7, but 7 default is MBR. Microsoft is like the biggest scum company in the software world. MS just tries to make your PC work only with their products. They spent alot of money to spread lies about openGL in order to promote DirectX that only works on their OS, while openGL is faster and works on all OS’s. Can u imagine that all games worked on all systems!! to bad MS had to spend millions to spread the lies, but hey, it kept them popular, cus games are the only reason to use windows. Rangers running sword/greatsword DPS builds are perfectly fine.
Rangers chilling at 1500 with their longbow are completely useless.

Because your main job is laying water and static fields, and fire can’t help you with that.

Not surprised he chose to replace the mesmer instead of another war.
And unlike the LH ele the ranger doesn’t really have much war replacing potential. At best they can replace one war. It doesn’t grant the kind of benefit the LH ele does through spamming LH into fire fields. The only things it can bring is done by a single ranger at which point you’ll hit high diminishing returns for taking more.

They also lack the utility such as crowd control with that weapon set and we all know how useful the war mace knockdown / guardian pull or banish / mesmer interrupt / LH launch are for CoE farms. Seems like a leech build, exactly like Nike’s necromancer.

This thread would be brazil’s best troll if it manages to convince a couple people to spend their in game gold to craftlvl a ranger.

Why do people hate so much on poeple farming cof? I agree there are quite some idiots you can meet there, but there are nice people farming too. If you want to farm gold the hard way, fine, no one forces you to do cof if you don’t like it.

You need to remove the mist form skill from downed state and we have officially balanced out the elementalists in wvw at least. They can still come out the fort and kitten up a entire zerg over and over again since their mist form still is the only skill that can take you inside again through the fort door. That would be all.
