As far as PvE goes your post reads like: "Thief profession removed from the game."

We actually need buffs, guardians do more DPS while bringing a lot more support.

Mantle would benefit GW2 more than DX11 ever could. Why? Mantle reduces the cpu overhead greatly. GW2 is a cpu intensive game. If you look at the reviews of Mantle, its a bit faster than DX11 but enormously faster with cpu limited scenarios.

This is why the benchmarks for bf4 show a 64 player scenario, since the 64 players make the game more cpu intensive than single player does. We already see this in GW2: In wvw the performance is bad because the cpu can’t process the information fast enough to send to the gpu and in places like LA the same issue repeats itself.

Reducing the cpu overhead entirely would give the game a huge boost in performance.

It doesnt matter if Mantle benefits GW2 more than DX11 if Mantle is only supported by a fraction of the GPUs currently who support DX11. I sure as hell wont buy AMD because of Mantle.

As far as performance goes DX11 is just as terrible as DX9, going back to engine coding just to just render like 1ms faster would be a complete waste of time.

Mantle would make more sense, but I don’t see it happening (unless they were already working on a PS4 release...).

Perhaps I’ve been thinking of it the wrong way all the time.

Definitely, this is videogame.

1 - No trinity-like mechanics.
2 - Button smashing based combat (no resources + no risk/reward).
3 - Vertical progression.
4 - Fixed weapon skills (0 variety).
5 - Useless races making the personal story too swallow and new armors harder to create.

Axe/Mace + Axe/Shield works fine in PvE.

30/25/0/10/5 (assuming you don’t want EA), full zerk, scholar (ruby orbs if tight on money) sigil of force/night/dungeon + sigil of battle and all that good stuff

The engine is a mess so the APU on PS4 would probably not be able to play the game at decent framerates in its current state, but if the they do "port" it we could probably see a huge improvement for the PC version too (especially for 6-8 cores AMD CPUs).

The problem with putting the game on a console is licensing and distribution. ANet has expressed disinterest in physical, boxed releases of the game. They much prefer digital copies and only want to have one box of the game out. Each release on a console means new contracts, new boxes, more shipping, more middlemen, etc etc.

Sounds like a bad group to me. The best group I’ve had for days was a Dps guard, pvt guard, zerker mes, rabid engineer and zerker thief.

Warriors are surprisingly meh in fractals.
Dungeons though warriors are great.

No banners.
No empower allies.
No spotter.
More than one guard having lots of reflects.
Soldier’s.

It’s a pretty bad group actually.
