I have been experimenting with core ranger SB a lot and the damage is just… This is even with remorseless.

Ew, why are you running remorseless on SB? It’s a hybrid sustain damage weapon, there’s absolutely no big single hitting attack in its whole kit. Go with like BM/Skirmishing/WS with companions might, and sharpened edges, it’s much more effective, especially if you run a cat +something tankier to hide the injured cat behind

Oh I just tried remorseless for the heck of it just to test if the new SB damage buffs will scale well now with Damage modifiers, but apparently they didn’t

Ya, but all remorseless does is make your NEXT attack deal more damage and crit, but SB is all about hitting them with a ton of little attacks, if anything take Predators Onslaught to benefit from the 2s daze/stun on your 5 skill (4s with MoC), and the cripple from your 4, that’d up your damage A LOT more than just 150% crit on your next auto/single poison arrow from 2

wait.. does PO affect each arrow from Volley? (15% each arrow?)

how is that more than remorseless? since remoresless is 25%?

I do agree that you need cleanses, I heavily disagree that core ranger isn’t viable. Eura got to legendary using only Core Ranger.

you havent seen the review from wooden potatos i assume. anybody could get to leg just playing enough hours. Also premaids help, and obviously your skill against them.

core ranger is not viable because you are locked in survival for the cleanses. the runes of the trooper only cleanse one condition and are for tanky builds.

the day Anet moves the trait emphatic bond to BM will be a day ro rejoice. And if they improve it to cleanse 1 condi every 3 seconds maybe even push the ranger to have a chance.

Even moving it to any other tree will be a great movie. As it stands now, there is no way for you to take poison master (Which again is even a poor GM trait)

na sorry not enough damage and too many condi clears , you don’t need Druid if you already have plenty of evades , and those glyphs may help with small amount of condi removal but then you are mixing a support role with a condi burst role which don’t mix well as it costs a lot of outgoing damage ,

do you pvp in the current meta? core ranger isnt viable in any way. u need the condi clears to survive, u need staff to get out.

the short bows attack pattern is generaly Burst Bleeds+poision volly vs Grouped foes.

it works great when combined with Traps (even if not trated because of the rapid Projecile speeds the AA gives)

don’t use Bristleback with SB you may think its better because of the bleeds but again a person will be running 2x sources of bleeding and 2x range sources with 1 CC concussion shot and little escape kitten 3 isn’t a repostion but a evade skill as to that you’ll need a Sword+dagger as a second weapon set not S+T as that still offers little escape.

the idea of this set up is to Evade while applying HARD poison damage and bleeds are only the top up condition.

the tiger is to provide team fury and 100% fury uptime + a leap to apply the poison damage , ontop of that the Nature magic line will buff up the pet through Transfered boons from teammates while you provide it with plenty of Protection through heal as ones+protect me’s and counts as a vigour source 12seconds of vigour from LR +> heal as one before the duration ends tops up a extra 3seconds of vigour.

the sigil choices are for increased Bleed bursts with geomancy and flank bleeds using SB, the sword sigil of speed is to increase its application rather than mass stacks as Sword now hits much more than before it also applies the most direct poison damage as both are combined with evades (damage while surviving/evading then Sword 2 back f2 the pig pick up your item feathers ect use that to stealth and plant the vipers nest for a Large poison damage > into a consussion shot)

people won’t see the trap or you but if they react too quickly and leap you while you leap back on sword 2 they will fly into the trap taking 9+poison master stacks after all poison applications it can reach 14 poisons and a average of 12-14 bleeds after weapon swaps.

the main point of this build is to force weapon swaps and rotate between Volly shots and sword+dagger evades mixing in Poison fields while escaping rather than using Poison field + sword because using SB AA + poison field does the most damage application and protection through Applied weakness.

meaning you are always fighting at 900yards anyway .

Sotp is simply your Burst / Dive skill if you need to deal increased damage quick or escape / hold your ground while you perform the evade poison chains (not being forces away from a target greatly helps with application)

Striders defence the Reason for this is Pure Projecile survival 50% of projeciles are Destoryed and this skill alone saves you a lot of damage, it is easier to aim for Evade gaps with ranged weapons this prevents that and decreases Sword 2,3 cooldowns in addition to dagger dagger off hand + quick draw it allows consistant Evading .

you need to consistantly applying poison rather than bleeds focus the bleeds are a top up which happen through normal rotations , make sure to flank AA when kiting alone and Sword AA flanking on a escape followed by a foe leaping at you into the poison field i mentioned dagger 4 > Sword AA then evade as required .

the down side to this build is odd , it works better when the foe is highly Aggressive or needs to hit you constantly which only powers rune of thorns increasing your condi damage bursts of poison making the pet stronger plus poison master stronger.

its cons vs foes that " test the waters and wait for the largest portion of the poison application" it reduces the overall damage by a large chunk but i wouldn’t worry too much as you can keep evading and the longer the fight the more Thorn stacks you gain.

Rooting with entangle or using a druids ancient seeds is counter active to this build you want people to over stretch or over reach and immobolising them or slowing them down too much Hard CC lowers the flanking chances which lowers chances of doing the evade chain+ SB AA>volly damage(vollying from the sides deals significantly more damage after a petswap+weapon swap.

the poison volly chain follows this pattern.

start defensive with the saimoth drop the f2 as a bait item save for around 20seconds or untill you LR back to it as a safe zone , if plasma go hard pressure and damage hard use the over reaching foe and force yourself into the flank then do this

Volly 5 poisons 5-8bleeds)petswap(2-4 poisons leap f2 +7 bleeds from critspet skill 4)> AA twice > SB 3 or LR (if needed) > crippling shot > weapon swap +viper nest > evade chain sword 3> sword 2 leap back in> dagger 4>sword 2 or 3 (due to quickdraw recharge) > swap SB repeat.

this chain combo provides 12-14 poisons on average plus those 12 average but consistant bleeds though the bulk of the damage is comming from pet buffed+poisons , using Concussion shot vs Ranged foes only and AA prevents free casting while you send the pet in with F2 leap+poison, if you want to gap close do the saimoth combo and use feathers or plasma attack chain.

its all about skillfully kiting using both weapon sets , though SB alone as a main weapon isn’t worth the effort .

also if you do try this build and find Dagger not your style swap for Sword+axe and change off-hand training for Shared Anguish or refined toxins for a top up damage on Path of scars attack (first attack after swap provides great Line CC and applies poison 3 stacks after a pet swap too)

saimoth optional though i do say use it just because of the plasma item and Fortifying bond>heal as one is too strong to pass up.

as you can tell running a SB build is highly complex and not as simple as just using LB+staff or LB+gs it required much more skill to pull and land attacks which are not rapid or spammable (like Quickdraw mauls ect) the lb+ gs or staff builds are way more flexible in choices of Utility and enough for any pet choice too as they have enough inbuilt defences to repostion and stay at range , so using a bristleback is more viable as compaired to being in near melee range where a Feline / wolf/ pig /drake would be more beneficial to the SB build.

Only issue I have here is condition removal, not saying its a bad build, it’s just the state of condition spamming in the game.

Should this boon be removed? It’s one of the strongest, if not the strongest boon in the game. To completely cut a players damage by 33% is insane. Add that to the fact almost every class can access it means those who cannot access Protection, Thief, puts them at a huge disadvantage.

On a side note, a good way to buff Thief:
S/D skill 3: “Boons you steal are applied to you”
Bountiful Theft: “Steal 3 boons, allies within 600 range will be granted the boons. If no players are in range, you receive the boons.”

Thoughts?

The boon is fine.

The problem is Other classes have so much access to it that they can spam it like farting

Let’s be honest. It is not a good thing to have every long cd elite to be on the same cd as CS.

This! We can discuss it for as long as we want, but CS simply removes the possibility of balancing elite skills by their CD!

And Fay: PvE mesmer would not be dead even if CS is partly nerfed (many suggestions have been given including this one). Maintaining 100% uptime of quickness and alacrity would be more difficult (or maybe impossible) but the uptime would still be enough to justify a chrono presence in a organized group. You said it yourself, chrono is currently the most irreplaceable class in PvE, so a small nerf would not suddenly make us garbage.

More than tripling the cooldown of CS for having the audacity to use time warp with it is anything but a “small nerf”. That triples the cooldown on our main buffing combo. It would make us move from providing permanent quickness to quickness running out on the group with another 2 minutes left on the CS timer.

I said it myself, chrono is currently the most irreplaceable class in PvE. However, it is only that way because of the powerful utility it brings. If this change was implemented, chrono would instantly move from best in slot for any group to "eh…lets bring another elementalist instead’.

Now, I’m open to the possibility of nerfs to CS in some way, but literally every single suggestion I’ve seen so far guts PvE mesmer without a second thought. Quite honestly, I don’t give 2 kittens about how perceived unbalanced it is in PvP, because it’s balanced in PvE, useful in WvW, and the number of people actually affected by the PvP performance of it is hilariously miniscule.

“Oh but the pros say it’s so op”. Yes, I’m sure all 12 of them are heartbroken about it. “Oh but everyone on the PvP subforum says it’s op.” Yeah, they’ve been saying that mesmer is op literally since the launch of the game.

This is just a L2P issue. If people weren’t scrubs and learned the moa animation instead of just throwing their hands up in the air and giving up the instant they see an enemy mesmer, nobody would be complaining about CS. Case in point: nobody complained about CS during the chronobunker time. Has it changed at all? Nope.

About the balancing, I think what we talked about earlier about splitting will help solve this dilemma maybe even just for this skill.

Nerf it in PvP while you keep the PvE folks happy.

Fun build PvP Double Bow Trapper

I have gained inspiration from Justin, Aussie Ranger, and that guy who ran trap ranger in WvW.

Basically the build is high risk because of Destroyer’s Amulet. 0 toughness.

Shortbow and LB for the weapons.

Shortbow for melee range kiting and condition bombing, LB for long range kiting and bursts.

Trapper runes, LB3, Celestial shadow for disengages and safe stomps.

Condition Management through Wilderness survival and Druidic Clarity

Condi bombing with traps, ancient seeds, SB flanking.

The key here is to kite and flank, only use the trap when you need to. Spamming is for baddies, good players will see through it easily.

With the recent SB buffs, SB 234 for somewhat hit hard. your LB will hit as much as a marauder would so there’s that.

Timing LB 4 with ancient seeds + Barrage and Smokescale Burst will insta kill thieves if they are not careful.

TEAMPLAY:

Druid is all of you guys know heals a lot even with 0 healing power so help your team when you can

Celestial Shadow is such a good anti stomp for your allies and good disengage mechanic for them as well.

VARIANTS:

If you need more condition pressure you can swap LR with another trap OR you can swap the trap trait for Sharpened edges (I have no idea why they are competing)

FROST TRAP

Very useful against eles esp if you have the trap trait, a full cycle of Frost Trap is 15 seconds worth of chill, plus Frost Trap damages now.

VIPER NEST

Very useful against warriors and people ressing their teammates. Low CD for stealth too.

SHARPENED EDGES

With high precision from the amulet, RF + Earth sigil will stack a lot of bleeds. Crossfire at the right occassions will stack 3 bleeds each arrow. You lose the trap duration though and the CD reduction for more frequent stealths.

MERCENARY AMULET

If you think you cannot survive with destroyer amulet, mercenary is still an okayish choice since you get perma fury in this build (swapping and SoTF)

MATCHUPS

NECROS

The usual technique just kite them to death and dodge the transfers, very easy matchup as long as the node is not small enough.

THIEVES

This is the most fun matchup I have, you have to time SB 3 for evades and KB their stealth combo, its either you burst him or he will burst you. One advantage you have is the conditions, he may disengage but the conditions will surely finish him off.

GUARDIANS

Another fairly easy matchup, dodge their traps. Entangle and your traps are unblockable so their blocks will do nothing to save them.

ELEMENTALISTS

Somewhat harder than thief if they play Fresh Air since they have projectile defense but most likely the same strategy. Bunker ones you will eat them alive. it’s futile for them to stay on point unless they wanna eat your traps. It will still take time tho.

RANGERS

This mostly revolves on how you know the class, even matchup, one advantage you have again when they go AF is the conditions and CC you have, conventional ranger builds won’t have em. Plus the superb direct damage you have.

WARRIORS

The new warrior is a pain to deal with, they deal so much damage and recover so much health when you CC them if they have rousing Resilience. they CC you a lot as well with taunt and the dazes. Both the power and condi spec is hard to deal with. If you can kite well enough you should be fine but still a very hard matchup.

MESMERS

Another hard matchup, but I main mesmer so I just dodge the shatters, but again moa will kill you. Careful of the Shield CC too. Mesmer in general take time to get to know how to fight, once you know how they work, it should be a fair fight.

TU and SoTW will almost keep you at full AF most of the time.

I did 700k the other match but apparently I forgot to take a screenie. Oh well.

The part where our damage comes from power is kinda misleading.

Although it is partly true, almost 50% of that power damage stats comes from pets, which has nothing to do with the power stat.

you are right, but the pet is really very unreliable so yet i dont really count on it.

Old pets are simply annoying. the bristle had a harsh nerf and the AA is not that strong and have a lot of LoS issues.
the smokescale only hits when it shadowstep, after that any enemy with swiftness will avoid its damage just moving.

so unless you are hitting a golem i cant count the pet as a reliable source of damage.

oh yea the f2s of the new pets are more reliable than the old ones. If you can time the bursts really well, they account for atleast 30-50% of your power damage.

But meh, i have no idea what to do with ranger anymore. Trapper build before was fun but now…..

As titles says, within 600 the pet Does NOT teleport to the down person instantly as before. please correct this.

It didn’t before either.

The pet will run up super fast to the downed first, then it ports the downed to you. That’s where the teleport happens.

the speed/initiation of the “super fast” is delayed. try it for yourself

instant and delayed are two diff things. But if you say the super fast is delayed then it is a bug.

But a lot of the delay before came from uneven terrain like if the pet needs to climb up a ramp, etc.

It still does, just not on the second strike. First and third work line normal. We also got a slightly stronger Whirling Defense as additional cleave-age.

>Condition Builds
We’re still mostly Bonfire/Torch throwers, but unless we got throwable traps again, I don’t expect much to change. I guess Axe is a -little- better since you have 2 reliable bleeds over Shortbow’s situational one.

LB/Staff (or GS) is still best imo. Sword’s not the worst case, but the DPS loss from aftercasts is kinda harsh.

yep, sword does not stick to the target, the second and third attack does not follow. also it does not cleave: the second and third only hit one target(manly) although i could be wrong there.

also the aftercast to see the nice animations make the attacks slower.

Anet could have go for changing the viper nest, that is actually kinda buggy not hitting your target unless is in melee, for a short CD short leap with evade.

put the poison in the AA(1sec for example) or in monarchs leap and i think they have made everyone happy.

condition builds will never work for the ranger in its actual state. we need more 4 stats sets that include condi and healing. the actual are more focused to other classes with stronger condition application. Also the ranger does not apply much condi pressure with almost any of the weapons.

it seems Anet have the idea of conditions for the ranger to be like a plus, but our main damage coming from power. or at least what i could see with the last buffs to power damage in the SB.

but strangely enough Anet still doesnt make the weapons real hybrid ones… focused in power with some condis flavour. So its kinda confusing.

so you end up with power healing build, that mostly locks you in LB\staff.

so yeah still one build choice. Man this is boring…

What do we actually do now?

Ranger conditions are still subpar compared to other classes, I just don’t see ranger doing 400k+ condition damage on a competitive match like engie, necro, etc.

I feel like you just HAVE to go LB/Staff and play menders.

SB buff was still underwhelming.

WH is crap, Sword does not cleave anymore..

So what good build do we actually have?

When the new legendary short bow was announced I read a fair amount saying it sucked for rangers, but was good for theif. I mainly use a short bow as a ranger and was just wondering if anyone could explain the resoning for people not liking it for a ranger. Please keep in mind I’m half a noob.

It’s more or less an assumption from pre-HoT Ranger fiasco.
Shortbow used to be an awful weapon back then.

But now it mathematically has the potential of being a full-time condi weapon. With the new stats, runes and sigils we’ve been made the true kings of bleeding damage.

The only problem that might people think about is that #1 has a flanking restriction. Which I don’t find that harsh. Flank is like 75% of enemies surroundings (rear and sides). I mean I often apply the bleed while strafing in PvP while facing my enemy’s front.

The weapon scales well with Sharpened Edges (skirmishing trait), Krait Runes and Sigil of Agony. And most especially – Quickness.

EDIT: I think people believe SB to be a bad weapon because they don’t utilize around it. It is a bad weapon if you don’t invest into bleeding specifically but you go for conditions all-in-all.

This post made me rage.

I used SB for 2000 matches, Won and played various dueling tournaments, I am an Ex [FEAR] member and rekt numerous good players in that guild and some of the best rangers/mesmers you may know using an SB/GS remorseless build that I use. From this experience I can tell you. SB only works in dueling. It will NEVER work in a competitive pvp match. SOLO Q it will. (Guess what, anything works in Solo Q)

Build around bleeding? are you kidding me? A bleeding build is so one dimensional that it will be so easy to cleanse/ counter.

SB needs a huge rework, the damage modifiers on it (especially the AA) are so low that even with a hybrid build it will simply pale in comparison with other weapons. GS on a destroyer amulet will still outdamage it. The Damage is so low and it will not compensate the 900 range it has.

The AA damage is so low, the bleeds are not enough. Bleeds need atleast 10+ stacks to be able to have decent damage. And this requires heavy investment into sharpening edges, high prec, earth sigil because of the flanking limitation. (again you cannot flank properly without CC)

In order to compensate for the range, The AA needs to have a soft CC on it (slow, chill, cripple) so you can kite better.

The recent buffs mean nothing if the AA is untouched. AND If this really wants to be a condi weapon, it needs more condition variety on it. (torment on 3, confusion on 5 as examples)

Just my 2 cents, coming from a ranger who used SB verrrrryyy extensively.

SB worked really well with a trapper build, too bad they are not ground targeted anymore so yea…

Anyone else getting destroyed by revenant? For some reason they feel even stronger now.

Do you use stone heart? Do you double dodge UA?

The only skill which is hard to avoid is staff 5, that thing hit hard and almost instant but luckily revs will use it out of a precise pattern, you can double dodge precision strike and UA, strife out of legendary blast with timing, do your best to avoid chaotic release with either a dodge (if you had stone heart to counter UA/precision strike) or lightning flash out of it

Luckily they are far more bad revs than good ones, the first will just predictably unload all burst in one go, which will leave them out of juice after few secs, the latter can be stalled..for as long as one of the two opponents does not make a huge mistake

Does not matter. A good rev will eat a FA ele alive. Hell they can even eat druids alive. They are simply overtuned.

Tested numerous times today Running Destroyer SB/GS ranger, damage was there but man, you simply cannot surivive.

Even with 560 fero and 2k power, shortbow was still not doing any significant damage, this is with 560 condition damage as well.

Altho A buff is a buff, it still baffles me why Crossfire the AA was not buffed when it is used 90% of the time.

I just tried SB with 2k power, the physical damage part only crits for 600 (3/5 skills) and only SB#4 dealt 1.2k. Posion volley critts for 300 per hit at point blank range

Anyhow, any of you guys theorycrafted with the changes?

I do not think that the matchmaking system is balanced, fair, or fun. Within the past few days, I have played exactly 50 solo-qued PvP games. I think I won 5 of them, although I am unsure.

There should be no reason why ANY player should lose 45 out of 50 ranked games played. Regardless of personal skill and regardless of any other variables. Arenanet should optimize their matchmaking system so that every GW2 lover can enjoy the game (aka have a fun gaming experience). Obviously there is something wrong here, and I don’t know what kind of nutjob would argue with my evidence.

The rumor going around is after a losestreak, players are pitted with bots and are matched against premade groups that lowered their MMR purposely to get better games.

I made a video of my gameplay so that everyone accusing me of being a bad player can see for themselves the reality of my gaming experience. Hypothetically, even if I am a bad player, I should still have a higher win/loss ratio than 5/50 ranked games won.

My overall win/loss ratio is bad because I never qued unranked when I started playing the game a year ago and I like experimenting with other classes to try new stuff. Since the launch of HoT, I have not messed around.

It was like every attack I dealt was healed after I landed it. Seemed like too much to be regen. After I died, my teammate burst him down like 50% and that was immediately healed. It’s hard to say what his dps was like because there was someone ranging me at the same time…

Or It wasnt a guardian, but a warrior with Defiant Stance. 30 sec CD.

I have zero issues on my Druid in pvp. Can solo necros, Revs, pretty much any class 1v1 and do fairly decent in 1v2 situations. Love it.

If you do well against revs, you are not fighting very good ones, no offense.

Druid can 1v1 any class, except for a very good thief or Rev.

Make your seasons MMR based, matching players of relatively same mmr together in one team, pitting them against another team in an adequate mmr range against another team.

MMR has to be reset after seasons for this, and there has to be a pre-season for people to play and create their mmr anew. If they dont play, they start with BELOW average mmr and have to work their way up.

Reward pips accordingly (2 for winning against higher mmr team, 1 otherwise, loosing against lower mmr team, loosing 2 pips etc.) and make the pip system into a result instead of using it for matching.

For this you HAVE to show each players mmr. Otherwise people will whine how they can have an amber on their team against full legendaries.

Please… stop asking PIPS grinding to reflect SKILLS. Grinding wins will never show skill. To Show SKILL you need to WINS versus people that have a better MMR than you.

You are right in wanting a skill based rank system. You are wrong in asking to grind it.

Either make it FULLY SKILL based (with MMR and without grinding) or make it fully GRINDING PIPS (without MMR, so we can have strong carry mixed with low players) ride.

Dear Anet,

please stop trying to mix mechanics.

Either make your seasons purely pip based with pips being the mechanics, and RANDOMLY choose players from a certain pip range and put them RANDOMLY on two teams.
Always matching the teamsize +/-1 if there are teams queueing.

OR:

Mixing both systems has resulted in:
Season1 -> mmr tanking
Season2 -> MMR hell and luck streaks that overrate players immensely
And both seasons have now long queue times, so it didnt change that at all.

Please, for the love of this game… stop mixing these two systems. Pick one and stick with it.

No matter what parts of pvp community say…. just pick one…. and stick with it… make it better each season instead of making a new system each season.

I love this game. Im passionate about this gamemode. But Im scared as kitten that season3 will be the next experiment and will fail even more than season1 and season2. Causing this gamemode to be totally abandoned after everybody has grinded his backpiece.
Season3 is your LAST chance. Even better would be changing things NOW, to show the direction for season3. Because if season3 is anything close to season2…. players will just stop bothering. Hell, lots of players have already given up, only playing max 3 games each day for daily – if still necessary.

The second option is the best option, just think of the pips as a reward. I told you this before, but I would love matches that are evenly fought even If I lose rather than losing because my teammates want to 3v1 home.

Why do buttons stop working in the middle of a match sometimes? It’s always in a PvP map and always magically start working again when I log out and get to the lobby.

Happened to me. Best fix is to just recon the said character.

I don’t agree. Not losing pips is the only reason I’m not still stuck in t1 Amber. The reality is that losing divisions would alienate many players. Fewer players means worse matches. In turn that drives player exodus from pvp. What is being proposed will result in a death spiral.

The current system does not reward skilled play. It heavily favors one side in nearly every match. Winning “gimmie” matches doesn’t mean much in my book.

Allow loss of pips and divisions throughout, and you will destroy the tournament in my opinion. A few would be pleased by the change, but they might well find they are the only ones left.

Suggestion for pets

I’ve had a recent bout of nostalgia for GW1 and I keep thinking about our pets (I miss my rainbow phoenix Q.Q) and I’ve been thinking about how we could make more pets viable throughout the game…

My suggestion is wicked simple, would help buff the pets (but won’t actually fix their current issues) and make people bring certain pets they won’t otherwise back up to par.

I would like mechanic of “Elder, Dire or Hearty” to make a return.

For those who do not remember or did not play GW1 these are prefixes attached to your pet that actually impacted their stats. For example a Dire pet would have slightly less health, but a have more damage in return. Hearty pets had the reverse role being more health and lower damage, and I don’t exactly remember what Elder was but you can see where I’m going with this…

For me this would fix pets such as the Tiger introduced in HoT, it has super lower HP and armor so in PvP it dies rather easily. It has an amazing F2 which compliments our marksmanship trait line AMAZINGLY but in fight larger than a 2v2 it will die in seconds. Now imagine if we could attach a prefix to it that caused it to hit for 10% less damage but its armor and vitality was raised by 10% (would bring it almost to par with canines) and make the pet much more viable in team fights.

The same could go for our dogs, maybe we need them do a little more damage, but because the cats are better for DPS we are typically pigeonholed into taking them even if we like the dogs F2 better.

There would of course be people who think “I’ll just take the DPS prefix for the cat for uber damage” but it could be simply made so that max DPS pets (cats & birds) can’t take that prefix or maybe they would just die super quick as they are squishy already, dunno, that’s what testing is for. Same could possible go for tanky prefix for bear/drake types, I’m really just coming up with this off of the top of my head.

Any feedback good or bad would be fun… I know the likely hood of the this ever being implemented is super super low, but it’s a fun idea that would make some pets viable again I think.

Oh also, these stat bonuses would make up the difference between ranger and other classes who are wearing ascended armor, so yea, this possibly closes that gap.

Countless suggestions for the pet have been made.

1.) Be able to control pet skills
2.) Pets can have their own trait tree, thus all pet related traits can be put there.

You know what Anet said? It will be difficult/complicated for players to understand.

I am guessing 80% of the player population are mentally challenged?

Right now, from Amber to Ruby it’s just a grind fest, you grind enough you will get to Ruby. Ruby is where skill get involved. Anet need to remove the lock division system, from amber to emerad, that’s one lock, from emerald to sapphire is another lock, from sapphire to ruby is also another lock. You can’t mix grind players with players who actually know what they’re doing.
Make it so you can lose tier and pip at every division

This is the best suggestion so far.

BUT.

Only make it so if they fix matchmaking.

Otherwise this will be like Ruby Hell in Amber.

How to nerf scrapper in 4 steps

1. Biggest offender here aka Rocket Charge – remove leap finisher

Its main reason what makes scrapper so broken, triple leap finisher in water field? Yes please..

2. Perfectly Weighted – remove stability

Engineer was supposed to be weak to cc so im not sure what so high stab uptime doing here

3. Rapid Regeneration – halve the amount of healing but increase scaling.

Atm theres no point to get healing power on engineer. It scales like kitten while the base regen is quite high.

4. Add cast time to Sneak Gyro so it cant be used under cc

Cus its pure bs and free reset button if you dont have reveal.

Feel free to flame /shrug
