Give "walls" to everyone.

Walls that block/reflect become pretty fundamental in high-end dungeons and WvW, yet only 3 classes have them, which makes people favor certain classes and we should stay away from “LF healer” type of systems.

Here is what I suggest:

Warrior: Wall of Rage – Create a wall with your rage that reflects projectiles. Lasts 5-10-15s depending on adrenaline.
Necro: Their wall now also block projectiles.
Ele: Flame Wall also block projectiles.
Ranger: Whirling Defense has a larger radius.
Engi: Magnetic Shield has a larger radius and lasts 8s.

This will probably be lost like most suggestions but still worth gambling my luck.

Warriors have a trait that allows blocked projectiles to reflect. They have plenty of blocks with the right weapons.

Necro’s Transfer conditions, which is similar in a way, but the wall is terrible so not a terrible idea

Ele- Flame wall is terrible and all but earth 4 and Air 4 of the focus both handle projectiles already. No need for such redundency. Buff it in a dif way.

Ranger- Whirling Defense is pretty good as is. Radius can get larger via trait, but i believe its bugged atm >.>

Engie has mag shield, and toss elixer X i believe that can proc a wall of reflect.

Don’t think these are necessary at all.

A Fix to Stealth

I don’t know if this is the best way to go about it, but stealth does need a hard counter, even if its just a small thing here and there like adding “This attack breaks stealth” on a few skills of EACH class. I’m not completely opposed to damage breaking stealth but this might make stealth on the side of to bad rather then too good. However i think even a small change like damage being shown if you hit a stealthed target could go a long ways. Sure you can lay your traps, or marks or w/e other ground aoe’s you have (if any at all) but more times then not your wasting your CD’s on nothing but air.

A typical fight with a ranger for me goes something like this. (bear with me because I am not 100% on there rotation) From what is see they usually spam me with and ultra fast crossfire (maybe with zepher?) and stack about 20 bleeds on me in a matter of a few seconds and doing a decent chunk of direct damage. I start stacking my scepter bleeds and get about 10-15 on them and a stack of poison while they do this and maybe get about 2-3k direct damage. While this is going on there pet is chewing on me for at least 400+ per hit I think. At this point I may have taken about a quarter of there hp while I am at half or less (my build I have about 24k hp). I either dagger #4 to try to transfer the bleed or consume conditions to heal/remove it. At this point there pet removes all the conditions and they heal back up till close to full because I have done a good bit less damage than they have and I am at about 3/4 hp. Usually it is a rinse and repeat of this until I simply don’t have the cooldowns to outlast the crossfire spam.

If I try to kill the pet is seems like I am eating crossfire the whole time and by the time its dead I am too far behind to put up a good fight. You cant epidemic between the ranger and pet or vise versa to have some damage going on both because of seperation (usually aided by traps or binding roots). A necro can’t stack bleeds nearly as fast and has far less dd from stacking there bleeds. And our condition removal is at best on an 18 second CD (deathly swarm) but I think it only works if it hits and the animation is rather slow and easy to dodge. I’m decent at missing most traps and dispatching pets as needed but doing both while not getting wrecked by crossfire and stating the portion of the fight where I deal with the ranger himself is a mystery to me. I was thinking I wasn’t dodging crossfire enough but to me it seems like since its a series of very fast individual shots you can only dodge 2 of the barrage at best. I see a few ppl on here saying rangers are easily countered or l2p but not explaining anything about how to easily counter them. Unless I’m missing something REALLY obvious here I assume they are just rangers trying to keep the advantage as long as they can.

what three utilities do u generally run? on my necro i run with epidemic, corrupt boon, and plague signet. The later is a sure fire way to troll a ranger hard. Also staff 4 and dagger 4 both transfer conditions. And consume conditions of course as a last resort. Also note that a ranger pet cannot hit you as long as you are on the move and not crippled/chilled(not walking backwards). Prioritize removing bleeds/cripple over everything else if you can. His only forms of CC come from Entangle, and his pets, generally howl and venom. The howl is exceptionally easy to avoid, and the venom ain’t so bad either. Try not to waste dodges except on CC’s and when he uses quickness (also a great cue to pet swap). Also never give him your back or side, crossfire only stacks bleeds if it hits from one of those two points. Try to face him as much as possible unless your trying to set up a transfer spike. cant help much else without your exact build.

Yes it does matter.

Those 15-20 seconds could mean a crippled 10stack bleeding Burning pet with 25 vulns which gets eaten by aoes.

need not remind you less than half the pets we have are even useful, and any of them that do decent dmg have laughable vitality, and unreliable dmg at that. if aoe gets a nerf like they said it would then maybe it will balance out, but the condtion transfer fix wont change a thing lol

thats not true at all, the condition transfer could make a very large deal especially for necros. O whats this your pet just took all your conditions? let me just epicdemic them back right onto you. the fact that your pets are bleeding out insanely fast could cause you to switch at inconvient times that could screw you later in the fight.

While the pet trait is indeed bugged, your best bet is still to kill their pet so that they have no condition removal at all, or stun breakers really. Auto attack with your Scepter and focus on surviving as best as you can. When he switches pets do w/e u can to kill it. This will effectively screw him. Stand in traps, eat quickness SB attacks to the back if you have to, and transfer the conditions to his pet then epidemic his pet. His pet will die, He’ll have an insane amount of conditions with no way to deal with them. He’ll be forced to switch to his other pet with that one dead, putting his pet CD on a 60 sec CD. So rinse and repeat and hes nothing. This is easier to do on a burst setup but more then possible to do on a condition build as well.

yea, its a lot easier then you think. Once you get him melee paterns down he becomes a joke just like the rest of the bosses in this game. Once people stop trying to ranged DPS people will realize how easy this guy is.

your posts are the weakest form of debate on display today. reminds me of a proposed change i made for the damage on certain spear and harpoon skills in the first few weeks. the “it’s fine” trolls rushed in. not much later they buffed those same skills. ditto for signet of the hunt on rangers

keep it up. the current form of berserker’s stance is a holdover(like many skills and traits) from alpha when adrenaline actually DID something for the class(increased damage output the more you gained). it needs to change.

Is that why your first paragraph is once again filled entirely with bashing my opinion? Secondly i never once said “it’s fine”. If you actually read what i wrote i clearly suggested that they reduce the CD of the skill greatly by 10 seconds… THEN and only then would it be “fine” As the skill currently stands its useless in about 95% of builds, not to say it doesn’t have its uses but with a reduced CD it would fit perfectly into various builds.

pretty much the worst argument i’ve ever seen right there. 30 crit dmg for 10 seconds is overpowered. really. fury and retaliation are already up all the time in group content.

and by adrenaline heavy you mean you have no point and don’t know how to argue one. you can fill your adrenaline bar fast enough to use two burst skills back to back without berserker’s stance. plus any “adrenaline heavy” build is basically a DPS burst build. no room for that garbage on your hotbars over taking FGJ, frenzy, EP, BC, SiO, OMM, BoD, etc…

but hey, keep on “it’s fine” trolling. you’ll be dancing to a new tune once they wise the kitten up and change it.

lmao you can say what you want but 30% crit dmg for 10 seconds can create insane burst and could complicate WvW’s and Spvp’s balance quite easily. 10 seconds is more then enough for an eviscerate or 2 (if traited) to land and hit for what 13k on a 2.7 armor target? Don’t forget during the beta’s 30%+burst skill dmg (discipline line in case you weren’t in beta) was considered to strong so they nerfed it by 27%. What your suggesting is for that to return except only on crit chances (which is ~100% in pve anyway) I’m not saying beserker’s stance doesn’t need to be updated, but what your suggesting is waaay to much unless you add in some sort of penalty, similar to frenzy.

Just because you’ve never experimented with Addren. heavy builds doesn’t mean they don’t exist either. The quick bursts trait is severely underrated, feel free to experiment rather then adhere to the cookie cutter builds. No harm can come of it. Hammer/Mace-X can lock down defiant-less mobs completely by themselves if they want. Being able to spam frenzy/combustive shot on reduced Cd’s is pretty strong as well if condition’s are your thing. And having one utility to help you do these things is a lot better then wasting 10+ traits on subpar trait lines or forcing you to miss out on crucial traits.

P.S- Insults are the weakest form of debate. Just saying.

have you thought about what you said before saying it(nope)? banner of discipline is far more powerful than this. this stance affects one person(you) for 10 seconds. the banner affects 5 for a minute.

the bad utility skills i this game are so kitten that when a good one is proposed it looks “overpowered”. they gotta fix this kitten up fast.

And what happens when you use both? It may not be overpowered by itself but it would create problems in conjunction when used with other skills. If it was just crit damage….maybe. But on top of retaliation i think your pushing it. All in all contrary to the name “beserker’s” stance a useful defensive stance such as condition removal or a form of protection and retaliation. Warriors don’t need more increase dmg skills tbh.

Also by addren. heavy i meant two weapon sets that use their burst skill on Cd. Like Mace-x Axe-x ect. especially if traited heavily into discipline to reduce the CD of them. Rather waste one utility to keep my addren. full then several traits.

Honestly if they just decreased its Cd to 15 seconds base it’d be completely useable for addren. heavy builds. Especially since it would give us a reliable way to maintain vigor with the Vigorous Focus trait.

if i was to S/D in PvE I’d start in fire, give my team as much might as possible (15) then go to earth and spam 1. If you stack condition dmg and duration you can maintain 25 bleed stacks by yourself. Its the highest single target DPS u can do as an ele assuming no other bleeders are present. Other then that run D/D for its AoE burst.

I’ve been getting this error quite often as well. The funny thing is it seems to follow a pattern of some sort. I’ve dced from this error at exactly XX:27 once an hour every hour. I only tracked it for 5 hours, so it could be pure coincidence but figured i’d add it in regardless.

I’ve never gotten that high in FotM but if you really want some outside the box thinking i’ll give it a shot. From the sounds of your posts you need about 10 seconds of invincibility, and the only class capable of doing so is the elementalist. If you Chain together Mist Form- Obsidian Flesh- Fortify (Earth Shield 5) You gain exactly 10 seconds of invulnerability. I’ve never done jade maw so i don’t know if this is realistic or even possible, but it might be worth a shot if your desperate for a challenge.

Well i tried it out and got two lv 80 rares a shortbow and a pistol. So i suppose the difference between the classes is based on weapons. Idk why but i assumed it would be all armor. They weren’t bound however and did turn out 5 ectos. So all’s well that ends well.

I just got 5 Laruels today, and i was looking at the X gear boxes that say,
“Contains a rare or exotic piece of level 78-80 gear for X. Double-click to open”
Has anyone opened one of these yet? Im particularly interested in whether or not the exotics are bound, and how a Thieves chests differs from say a Rangers. Will the rangers have a more “Rangery” look or a typical stat for them, and will thieves have a higher chance of beserkers? Any1 have any idea?

Anet has enough on their plate balancing ground combat as is. As long as underwater combat remains as is, which is a unbalanced mess that doesn’t allow stomps. It doesnt have different Cd’s then above ground giving 4/5 classes 2-4 more get out of jail free cards. Nor does it have a seperate trait list making 9/10 builds that are good above ground complete crap underwater. Also the utility selection and elite selection of some classes are a complete joke. They have way more important things to do then make that map of tourney quality.

In my opinion:
1-3 are OP
4-6 are Balanced and just need bug fixes
7-8 need work

1: Elementalist: They have access to every single boon and with the proper traits/runes they can maintain every one except retaliation. Add this to their excellent mobility, insane utilities, their decent AoE pressure, CC’s and their ability to tank 3 people at once just to run away shortly after when they’re time is up. Kinda OP.

2: Guardian: Another class with access to many many boons. Not as much as Ele’s but they still get access to the most important ones, I.E Protection, Regen, Vigor. Making them insane at point holding while still being able to support their team extremely well with a fair amount of CC’s, their virtues, and decent damage thanks to their melee nature.

3. Mesmers: Portal alone is enough to keep them into the top 4, but portal aside this class still has access to everything that a good class NEEDS. They can maintain a decent amount of boons, not perma like the two listed above, but enough to make a huge difference. They have a plethora of survivabilty mechanics thanks to Distortion, blurred frenzy, and their multitude of blink type effects. CC is practically worthless on a good mesmer which makes their glass like issue a non-isssue. They also have the second most CC’s of any class.

4: Necromancer- The necromancer is at the four spot only because of the current meta, they are the only class(other then mesmer sometimes) that can make a good elementalist die when only facing 2 people. They provide good AoE pressure, and have DS as a psuedo protection buff which is good cause necros don’t have access to many boons. Their DS #3 is IMO the best skill a necro has and mastering its use separates a good necro from a bad necro. Corrupt Boon is an excellent skill in its own right to counter the powerful boon spam most classes are capable of.

5: Thief: Fast, strong, and a pain in the kitten to kill. Not much else to say about this class currently. They either auto gib you, die, or run within the first 10 seconds of the match. but their ability to gank glass cannons while they’re beating away on your bunker keeps them competetive.

6: Engineer: Basically what an elementalist would be if you took away their incredible utilities and mobility. A fairly balanced class that could use some improvements especially in the toolbelt skills. Makes a good tank atm but their glass build is 2 squishy compared to the mesmer or thiefs glass to make that a viable option.

7: Warrior: An extremely powerful class that just doesn’t work for whatever reason. Maybe its the fact that they have next to no condition removal. Or maybe cause they have no access to protection or regen (banners aside) Maybe its cause they are very straightforward and easy to predict. Whatever the reason, they need a slight buff in pvp and a huge nerf in PvE but that’s neither here nor there.

8: Ranger- Every build they have is terrible (minus 1) every utility skill they have is next to worthless, Spirits are a joke, traps are average at best, they have 1 stun breaker available in utilities. Their signets are worthless unless you put 30 into the power tree and they still have 60+ sec Cd’s. Shouts are buggy, and don’t do enough to warrant bringing them. They need a lot of help in the utility department. But all that aside if you look at their best build ATM, S/D -Gs or Shortbow has very very little damage except from their pet. Focus their pet and you shut this build down. They lose 80% of their dmg, lose access to their quickness, lose access to two blinds, and are only left with an average tank build that generally loses the point over time anyway thanks to hornet strike.

i presume the hammer 4 roots you as a way to balance the fact that its an AoE. Not saying its the right way to go about things, but if u compare it to say mace 3 that one allows you to move and has a much faster skill activation at 1/4th a sec. Another example of this is the Utility skill stomp. It roots you as well for another AoE pushback. coincidence i think not.

I agree with the OP except on all maps being included. Raid is a terribly designed map, and balancing underwater combat would take a lot of time work and distract from land balance which is 95% of the game. and 80% of the pvp maps.

1v1 needs to stay especially if/when you guys get a ladder going. The ques actually tick fairly quickly, they are cheap enough at one ticket that you don’t mind running with a few less then stellar friends, so it makes you sound like less of an elitest. The rewards can prolly use a small tweak, maybe adding something small like 10-20 gems to the winner as well as whats currently included will keep the players inticed enough to continue playing and trying to win.

If you really want to roll an engineer for w/e reason but are afraid of the complexity. You could always run around with a flamethrower and the trait juggernaut. Its a decent build in a PvE enviroment with good dmg and great survivability. Wouldn’t bother much with this spec in PvP tho.

It will be a lesser reward. They should give the team who lost a copper chest (similar to 5-8th place) and the winner get gold-chest with reduced reward (20 gems + 1 QP or smthin like that).

Defenitely interesting in how the match will be played in the tactical aspect, as it gets more complex with the 4 buffs appearing and the long range between nodes.

about what i expected, i was just praying for the higher rewards for personal gain and for paid tourny’s to actually be popular for a week. Ah well.

Sword Auto attack is my favorite auto chain in the game for PvP the perma cripple and dual lunges let you stick on people all day even blinking staff mesmers. If you turn off auto attack (ctrl+mouse2 on the skill) and control you usage of “mashing” one you can control it properly and only lose a very very very marginal amount of DPS. PvE is slightly different as mobs rarely kite you, but i have no problem with rangers having a PvP primary weapon. I would hate to see it changed.

All the classes can do fine in the right circumstances

Warrior- 5v5 or 8v8 run a HB build and look for the worst people in the lobbies to spike down quickly to boost your glory per minute

Guardian- Prolly the worst class for puging IMO as bunkers are terrible in 8v8, and in 5v5 bunkering doesn’t give you squat for glory. Stick to tournies with these guys.

Engineer- 8v8 or 5v5- They can do well in any circumstances, power or condition, aoe or not it matters not for them.

Thief- 5v5 as a backcapper with spikes in between

Ranger- Trappers can score crazy higher in 8v8 especially since it often ends in large scale fights where u tag pretty much every enemy

Necro- Same as rangers but with marks and enfeebling blood/ epidemic

Mesmer- Play if you want to win pug matches. portal in 8v8 is bonkers, and in 5v5 your strong thanks to the likely hood of 1v1’s or similar

Ele- Well rounded. The aoe lets you tag multiples in 8v8 and the mobility is great for backcapping in 5v5

From January 28—February 4 the regular eight-team/three-round paid tournaments will be replaced by two-team/single-round paid tournaments in the Temple of the Silent Storm map. After the week is over, we’ll add Temple of the Silent Storm to the regular rotation of both free and paid tournaments.

So my question is, what should we expect to see as our prizes for winning, or losing these 2 team tournies? Will the winner get gold & 120 gems and the loser, silver & 80 gems? Or will the loser just get a bronze chest as if they actually placed 5th-8th. Anyone have any idea how this is going to work?

ranger SB is way better due to the massive utility it gives you (cripple, evade, stun). in duels anyway.

Sadly that’s not true at all.

Ranger Shortbow:
1: Great single target DPS if attacking from behind
2: A Weak poison attack that can stack a fair duration of poison
3: A Evade with a built in cripple and swiftness for some decent mobility
4: A Bleed/Cripple
5: A Nice interrupt

Thief Shortbow:
1: Average single target DPS or Higher DPS if 2+ targets are present
2: A Spammable Blast finisher with high dmg and bleeds with low trajectory
3: A evade with a built in cripple
4: A poison combo field that can stack poison forever in PvE
5: Best single mobility skill in the game (arguably)

So they both have a situational auto attack that are good in different circumstances

They both have a good way to stack a lot of poison, while the thief gets a combo field while doing so

They both have an evade/cripple attack

They both have a utility skill that provides bleeds, thieves has more bleeds or a blast finisher, while the ranger gets a cripple, which they already have access too

Thieves have superior mobility, rangers get an interrupt we’ll call this one a rub.

If you compare the two directly the thief SB wins out in almost every way.

I really hope not. I originally ran to S/D to get away from all the QQ. And While the weapon set is 10x more powerful then people realize, its still not nearly as bad as the backstab build. Tactical Strike is bugged atm anyway. I hit people in the front and still daze them consistantly. It also blinds and dazes when its only suppose to do one or the other. Fix those two bugs and we may have the first skill based thief build. Wouldn’t that be nice.

I’ve never had it daze and blind at the same time. However, the side is considered part of the back when it comes to dazing. It only blinds if you’re practically right in front of the target. One step to either side of your enemy and you will daze them. That’s how it is intended.

yea your right, i forgot i had the blind on stealth trait selected. My bad. But regardless the Front/Back hitboxes need some looking at, I’ll link a video once it’s uploaded to youtube. Its kinda rediculous.

Wow, and I actually thought looking at them was a viable way to stop it…

lol, nope not at all. It’s even worse with melee assist turned off. If your looking DIRRECTLY at me, i can just swing, then walk through you and it’ll count as a backstab too. That’s my favorite. lol

I really hope not. I originally ran to S/D to get away from all the QQ. And While the weapon set is 10x more powerful then people realize, its still not nearly as bad as the backstab build. Tactical Strike is bugged atm anyway. I hit people in the front and still daze them consistantly. It also blinds and dazes when its only suppose to do one or the other. Fix those two bugs and we may have the first skill based thief build. Wouldn’t that be nice.

Always a terrible terrible cop out response to balance issues where one class is much stronger than other classes in 1v1’s.

If it takes 2 ‘other’ classes to deal with 1 of ‘x’ class then ‘x’ class is broken and needs to be shot with the nerfballista.

think he’s saying if someone is playing a build that directly counters yours, you don’t try to fight them by yourself. If you don’t have condition removal you don’t get into a fight with a condition necro, instead you get help from a teammate(s) better suited to fight them. Has nothing to do with being OP…in this example anyway

escort caravans, or run in a zerg and get xp for capping non stop. Thats really your only option as a low level as even most NPC’s will b a hard fight at that level.

there is next to no RNG in the pvp forge. Only a very small crit chance rate, which can be annoying but 9 times outta ten its gonna give u something nicer looking

you can’t transfer conditions while blinded. none of the suggestions are realistic.

Wanna go into more detail then? I assume hes using the x/D with when you go into stealth blind nearby foes. In which case, don’t go near him so you don’t get hit by cloak and dagger.

If he’s using /P and u cant figure out how to avoid blinds then your beyond help as its a blinding AoE field so don’t stand in it.

If he using S/x then you either gonna get blinded from tactical strike or dazed. take your pick. I’d take the blind of toss out an auto atk to drop it, but thats just me.

If hes using shortbow and spamming infiltrators arrow on top of u and your managing to lose, well…. i dunno. try using your trait points or equiping a amulet.

Other then the intimidation factor, a lot of people avoid Free tournies because if you don’t win, you get literally nothing to show for it. You get a lower overall score then 8v8 due to less kills and more back capping, and if you lose in tourney you’ll get maybe 50-200 points depending how badly you got stomped and no other reward. Where as in 8v8 even if your team sucks kitten you can run around and backcap and still break 250 with ease.

Also, double posting because this forum randomly removes the edit/quote feature from topics for no reason for me.. what the hell is this talk about “final challenge”?
My group went through path 4, spent time in there, one shot every other boss including Lupicus. We worked hard, then we were stopped by a glitchy boss.. and that’s somehow our fault for “not preparing”? Yet we could best all the other encounters in there? It isn’t even the path’s final boss! Stop fabricating justifications to make yourself feel special!

I can understand your frustration but no need to flame. If you want some tips just ask. Even with the boss in its slightly glitchy state its still more then possible to do it with a competent party of 5. For instance:

When fighting the Avatar of Dwayna lure her into a corner or against a wall of some sort out of the range of the sparks , When she goes into her stealth mode, CONTINUE ATTACKING, shes just stealthed, not gone, which is something a lot of people fail to realize. Have your 4 highest DpSer’s Continue swinging at air and maintain as much poison on her as you can. Spider venom, Radiation field ECT. it doesn’t matter just try to limit her HP gain as much as possible. Your 5th person, preferable your tankiest, can lure all the sparks by himself. Without them constantly switching aggro its not really a problem.

Another tip is to come prepared. Bring DAMAGE based FOOD and NOURISHMENTS. The one’s that gives 10% extra dmg to undead is extremely helpful, especially if paired with butternutt squash soup or w/e gives 10% crit dmg.

This is one less favorable tip but, its still an option nonetheless. Get a party setup that will specifically help you get through the parts your struggling. I usually run a staff ele in Dungeons for the support, but I switched to D/F for this boss, using this build I gave 25 stacks of might to everyone in my party just for the extra dmg.

Once this boss is at 50% hp she stops attacking if your damage is even half decent. She’ll stealth, unstealth, repeat. No petrify’s, no AoE damage fields, nothing. It becomes the easiest boss ever which is quite ironic if you ask me. lol So change out your support options so you can assist your teammates in this DPS race.

True story, although your backstab build isn’t great. 10/30/0/0/30 is a much more effective backstab build in so many ways. Especially if you bring infiltrators signet. But this build actually requires a tiny bit of skill compared to the 30/30/x build as it has options and doesn’t rely on the steal combo except to finish people.

If you ask me, the real problem is the fact that as long as D/D Burst backstab sins exist, no class other then mesmers/guardians/warriors can run the beserker’s amulet. The backstab build does so much damage over such a little amount of time. ~17k dmg in what, 1 second? That you are literally forced to wear a soldiers amulet as half of the classes which severely limits the amount of viable builds, and that’s already a huge problem with this game. Fact of the matter is Burst dmg is to high across the board for ALL MELEE. Its stupid that in PvE a Knight’s HB warrior does more DoT then my Beserker’s D/D ele. Or that my Soldier’s Thief Can hit 2k Auto attacks with his Sword mainhand. You ever stuck Soldiers on a Necro/Ranger? Your lucky if u hit 700’s with your autos.

Honestly, the problem isn’t thieves like you say. Imo its more about the unbalance of starting stats between the classes.

Honestly the problem isn’t really backstab itself, its the fact that the 3 hit combo happens simulataniously for 15k dmg minimum. Disallow buffering and you wont have to change the skill much if at all. Although if you do that the thief downed state would need a counter.

@Velk yea I think people should take a look at what the guildwars 1 counterpart is.

Given this dude didn’t bring res to ra, and probably wasn’t the optimal build at the time and I don’t have any of my own, it’s a decent video of a sin spiking targets. While it doesn’t show what guildwars 1 pvp is about it shows what a sin could do in a few seconds.

That’s pretty much the same as a backstab thief now-a-days the only difference? That game had a healing class to counter the spike….GW2? not so much.

I am a thief, and this nerf is 100% justified. It hits way to hard, and the sheer popularity of this build prevents any class other then a Warrior/Mesmer/Thief to wear a beserkers amulet unless they have a death wish. Honestly i can’t wait for this change and i hope they nerf it into oblivion so i can have my class back, before it as deemed Overpowered by everyone and their grandmother.
