Did you have the tickets in your personal inventory when you spoke to him? If not, try that.

This. If you have the tickets in your inventory it will give you a third dialogue option to use a limited ticket.

What I don’t understand is why EVERY OTHER LS weapon set was added to the black lion merchant to be bought with tickets, Jade was not. Makes no sense to me.

Content is not supposed to be faceroll. Know what you did back in the day with games like Metal Gear Solid and Legend of Zelda? You’d try. You had to try to succeed and then if you failed, you’d need to try again and try harder next time.

I am glad to see content finally being released and not facerolled day 1. SAB is tough? Maybe you aren’t as good at jumping puzzles as you thought in GW2. Granted their platforming leaves a bit to be desired, but rather making threads about how the content needs better testing or needs nerfs, why not kitten your own abilities as a player and decide if you need to adjust to do better in the future.

This wasn’t directed at anyone in particular, but at the majority of the forum-whiners as a whole.

This is pathetic. Bad game design 101.

Only increasing a mobs HP 50x doesnt make the fight more fun. It makes it tedious and not worth the time. The second phase attacks do nothing to make the fight more fun or interesting.

I think some of ANETs content designers need to be taken back to school. Either that or their QA teams are not doing their job or being given enough time to do their job properly.

The latter. They have to pump out content every 2 weeks I’m sure the QA team wants to quit their jobs at this point.

My god guys why do you even have that much crap in your bank in the first place? The skins I understand, but materials? Seriously? For what possible reason would you ever hoard so many of anything? Just craft up the gear you want for your characters and then SELL the left over junk.

Honestly, do you really need enough clutter in your bank to make a legendary weapon ten times over?

Compulsive hoarding (or pathological collecting, or, informally, packratting) is a pattern of behavior that is characterized by the excessive acquisition of and inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects that cover the living areas of the home and cause significant distress or impairment. Compulsive hoarding behavior has been associated with health risks, impaired functioning, economic burden, and adverse effects on friends and family members.

I keep materials around because I don’t need money but I just haven’t gotten around to crafting on my alts yet. Also, saving things to use them later isn’t compulsive hoarding, it’s making sure I don’t need to buy anything for professions later.

Also I like to give things out to guildies in need so if someone needs some materials they’re short, rather than make them buy the materials I will gladly give them ones I have saved up for other crafting professions down the road.

Who are you to judge people on saving materials in such a screwed up in-game economy? It means they’re smart and don’t want to overpay for materials later – doesn’t mean they’re compulsively hoarding.

Great preview to what’s coming up.

I appreciate, as a warrior player, that you aren’t doing too much to change them. We’re strong enough in both PvE and PvP and I’m glad to see that you guys aren’t nerfing or buffing anything but rather giving them more utility options to act as support roles.

Stack size SHOULD HAVE been much larger from the beginning. This was BEGGED FOR in GW1 for several years only to fall on deaf ears, so, it’s VERY DOUBTFUL it will happen here which is sad.

Yeah I agree it was a big problem in GW1. I had 12 characters in GW1 and all storage upgrades. 7 characters were full of other items, consumables, materials as well so I was definitely short on space.

Here’s the thing though. Most other games have stack sizes around 20 for just about every stackable item. So while it still sucks, it is still better than most other MMOs. We can just ask for change though. I do hope they get it in here soon though.

Apparently there is a gem store item on the horizon which actually allows you to add +250 to each material in your storage. Once again, to clarify, the item is going to be a consumable that adds 250 to each material (rare + common) in the collectables tab.

As far as I know you’ll also be able to buy these more than once and bring your stack size to 1000+ in the collections tab.

They are also “looking in to” a wardrobe system like the account achievement skins, and PvP locker to store all event weapon skins that can be withdrawn infinitely on any character on the account.

No word on either of these as far as a release date goes.

Not going to happen. For about the billionth time now; Arena Net already confirmed that they will not be adding race changing to the game because of the impact that would have on your personal story and home instance.

This. But you do realize that regardless of the concrete information and denial of this service will still lead to about 100 or so threads of the same question / theme / request before the end of the month.

Please stop neglecting conditions in PvE

As a 7 year WoW raider who achieved many realm first boss kills, 7+ year vet of GW1, and all around avid PvE fan, I am glad to see the revamp to Tequatl to make things more challenging, interesting, and fun.

However, on my server [Darkhaven] it’s already a ghost town. People keep posting in map chats to transfer to Blackgate, say to just guest to Blackgate, etc. Even on the Facebook the first comment I saw was from a Darkhaven Brazilian who laughed at Darkhaven being horrible and that she was going to perma-guest to Blackgate to do these events.

I mean, it happened already with WvW. We lost 2 giant WvW guilds in the last week or so so they can go to higher tiers. Now we’re losing guilds transferring to other servers for PvE.

So.. What is going to be done to promote longevity on the new Tequatl and other revamped bosses in the future? I am all for these things happening but at tis rate it seems that most servers will never be lucky enough to see consistent progress or kills due to people guesting and crowding certain servers instead of actually trying to coordinate with their own.

Just my initial thoughts on this since the patch. I know it’s too soon to tell and I’m hopeful. I’m just expressing my concerns. Thanks.

I would welcome the return of the Underworld and Fissure of Woe. However, its healthy to keep in mind that we wouldn’t be getting the old dungeons back. They would be new dungeons in the spirit of those dungeons from GW1…. but they might not be as good, or be totally different game play wise.

It’s also a bit of a pity, that with the many races the game is less focused on the human gods. So would it make sense for them to add the realms of these human gods? (who left Tyria btw) Probably not.

I mean why not? Just because more races are involved in the game doesn’t mean we can’t explore elements of each in depth. Human Gods are relevant to GW2 as a whole and I, as a Charr, wouldn’t mind going to the realm of the human Gods to see what’s going on.

I also realize that it’d be an entirely new experience with the GW1 spirit and that’s fine to me. Obviously with something like this they know they’d have an extremely high bar and high expectations to meet so I’m sure they’d do the best they could on it.

This is something that is indeed needed.
The dungeons are there which usually take 10-15 mins rewards are decent now.
But the feel of going into an elite area like UW where trash actually drop mats worth while is would be simply epic.

Also I know as a vet gw1 player, most of us waitted over 7 years hoping that the statues of dwayna, melandru and Lyssa would actually one day allow us to venture in an epic new place but were only dissapointed when nothing became of them.

Adding UW, fow and 3 additional elite areas will make the game beyond epic.

I would also like cantha (deep & Urgoz) & Nightfall ( Doa) but god knows how long it will take to even unlock anything close to these areas at the rate of these living stories.

Thanks for the feedback. I do agree with everything in your post. I’d say once Cantha and Elona are finally added we can revisit the ideas of their elite areas returning, but for now I feel like UW, FoW, and the other realms we didn’t see are a welcomed addition.

DCUO has a very cool wardrobe system where every “look” you encountered or purchased etc. is stored forever for your character and you can mix and match infinately from the pool you have. I DO NOT find any plausible reason for ANET not to do the same in a game where cosmetics are as important as stats..

Agreed especially since we now have the account-wide achievement skin withdraw tab. We can easily get something like that but in our bank.

People won’t understand that you’re supposed to skip some parts until Anet makes all the mobs Legendaries with a neon sign around them that says “SNEAKY PATH HERE!”

Really because I did my Dungeon Master title by killing every mob in my way. Not sure why some things are MEANT to be skipped.

it’s a low level explorable dungeon, which inherently is not supposed to have the same difficulty as all other low level areas. Just because you can clear hearts in Caldeon Forest doesn’t mean you should feel entitled to the same level of difficulty from an explorable dungeon.

In the thread I posted that you just flamed and dismissed, I mentioned that as a point that needs to be addressed and fixed. If they make the recommended level 35, kitten, etc.. then people at that level should be able to clear it. Why make token rewards for the level of the dungeon if nobody will EVER use them because they’ll never get the tokens?

I’m not sure. I do every dungeon on pretty much a weekly basis through the course of an entire week. I’d hardly say any TA path is exceptionally challenging.

Are you really going to tell me that CoF P1 and CoF P2 are as challenging or time consuming as CoE (1, 2 & 3) or any of the SE or TA or AC paths? Because really I am hard pressed to find logical reasons they should yield the same reward. I understand this is likely temporary and will be looked at, but why wasn’t it done right to begin with? Also, why can’t we run dungeons with alts? Stop DR on alts.. That’s pointless.

Actually, except for CoF p1, all the paths you named take around the same time (10-15 minutes). The only problem is that the amount of skill and coordination it takes to complete those paths in that time frame varies greatly. (sidenote, I don’t know why you mentioned SE, because the current SE p1 record is like 3:42, and an average run takes like 5-6 mins).

I’m not saying the rewards shouldn’t be changed, especially since AC p1 and p3 are a lot easier to faceroll than for example TA or CM, yet yield greater reward.

Which brings me to:

Just implement Bright’s list, it was basically perfect.

Thanks for the actual reply. I guess I should have clarified I do not pug and my guildies and I usually clear every mob in the dungeon because we don’t see a point in skipping unless we’re getting close to dailies resetting.

The rewards do need to be fixed, they’re utterly ridiculous. The fact that there’s a gap between 1.5 and 3 shows not much thought went into the whole thing. Just implement Bright’s list, it was basically perfect.

but TehPwnerer, the reason why you’ll get a chilly reception here is two fold:

1) People who frequent the dungeon forum see the same posts over and over from new people who come in wide-eyed, expecting their (maybe good, maybe bad) ideas to get a dev response, but since they’re new they don’t realize that:
2) Devs don’t read the dungeon forum, there are no devs dedicated to dungeons, Anet doesn’t care about dungeons because they’re not Living Story.

I guess that’s my mistake. I don’t frequent this forum either I’m usually in Gen. Discussion or Suggestions. But shame on me for throwing up my opinion on the game forum.

So I was thinking the other day and did some searching around the net and came across a few things (images attached below).

I feel like ArenaNet should really add Underworld and Fissure of Woe back to the game. Not only that, all of the other realms we never saw in GW1 (Melandru, Dwayna, etc.) should also get their regions done and thrown in as well down the line.

You already have artwork for Grenth’s Regalia for the UW armor set, you already have artwork for what appears to be an awesome revision of Dhuum, and you have a lot of people wanting to return to these awesome dungeons in GW2.

Obviously since no new dungeons are being added this year I’ll leave it as a simple vague suggestion for now, but I do feel like adding them would be awesome and a ton of my guildies who played GW1 would LOVE to see these return. This will also give you guys a chance to go back and do the ones you didn’t have time to do in GW1 like Melandru, Dwayna, and Lyssa.

This could also be another way to acquire Ecto without having to salvage every rare you get (UW) and getting Obsidian Shards without requiring a temple that nobody does to be open (FoW).

Hopefully at the same time they fix the biggest problems of dungeon groups at the moment:

1. If the party leader leaves, everyone is kicked out.
2. Kicking players out before the end of the instance to sell the spots to others.

Doubt this will be fixed any time soon, just like how they STILL have not added a “Last time logged in…” mechanic for guild rosters.

I could list literally 200+ things they have yet to add to add to your list. But yes I agree, nothing will be done about either of those two issues for the foreseeable future.

Buy more storage space. From the “optional” gemstore. Preferably with real money. You see where I’m going with this?

I already have a maxed out bank and my main has max bag slots. I have 12 characters 5 of which are being used as storage. It’s getting out of hand. I saw Colin said they’re working on something in an interview at PAX but really, they keep throwing skins at us with no way of storing them…

Ok so there are a few things that need to be seriously considered regarding dungeons. I will try to keep this as short and to the point as possible.

Short list:
- Whoever entered the dungeon leaves, the entire group gets kicked
- Explorable Path level suggestions
- Rewards

I won’t go into detail about the first point as I feel it’s pretty self-explanatory. Players should not all be booted if the person who started the dungeon leaves the group. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of people using this to grief.

Explorable path level suggestions. Come on. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that a bunch of well-equipped level 35s are going to complete AC P2? Come on. Either make these all require level 80 and bump all of the fights up to challenge and difficulty of a level 80 dungeon, or adjust the token rewards to be appropriate per dungeon and allow people of that level to actually run the explorable paths (as in scaling down the difficulty where appropriate).

Rewards.

Currently people just spam CoF P1 and P2 for gold.. There need to be reasons people want to run these dungeons. Do what you guys did in GW1 – add exclusive weapon DROPS to these dungeons that can only be acquired in specific dungeons.

Hell even if you guys gave each dungeon a chance for mobs / boss chests / completion chests to give us an armor or weapon from the vendor of that dungeon that’d be an improvement.

In GW1 you had people running X dungeon for Y drop that only came out of that place (Obsidian Edge, Dhuum’s Soul Reaper, Voltaic Spear, etc. etc.) and that system was great.

People should not run dungeons expecting and often knowing that they’re going to get nothing but blues / greens until their completion chest pops up.

So when can we get our item skin storage wardrobe? Because as much as I love earning meta achievements to have the reward either sit and collect dust in my bank unused or haphazardly thrown on a character just to free up some space, I’d rather have a good solution to item skin storage.

Any word on when this will be implemented?

Yeah, I figure that not everyone would want to do that, but it does give us some choice. Perhaps couple that with an inherent, subtle glow/particle/aura/etc. effect that you get by wearing the ring? Something that says “hero” without being obnoxious about it.

Devotion Aura! (GW1 style, obviously) but really this is a great idea I’d love to see this get more support.

Especially now that the living story updates are going to start being more geared towards permanent stuff, it’d be nice to have weekly stuff to do as well as daily and monthly achievements.

People are always complaining about zones on the map that are just empty all of the time. This would bring players back to these zones in order to acquire the trophies and find the NPC to turn them in.
