Although those were fights you won, you did make alot of rotation errors which might cost the game.
Chasing a target, rather than letting him go and decap their far, is not a good idea.
There were 3 scenes in there you chased a target while far was free to decap.
You even went down in Temple just to chase down the target in an area full of allies and far free to decap.. While your team was behind in points.
That’s just a little feedback from my PoV. The edit & quality was good aswel as the songs.
PS: WTF is Abs doing with S/P Build rofl.
The real problem right now is, a lot of ruby players just aren’t suppose to be in ruby, they are just plain not good enough, they climbed to ruby because you can’t loose tier in emerald and sapphire, which lead to horrible team Mate or opponent. Just had a match where the players on the other team should have been amber or emerald max, literally 500 to 100 in a 4 vs 5
Exactly, with something like that, you’re creating some kind of bottleneck for good players to go through due being stuck with ppl who just farmed their way into Ruby.
It was the exact same thing in Season 1; Ruby was hell for most.
Been stuck in tier 1 ruby for a week, since i was busy and didn’t have time to play more than 3 games a day, since i work during the week. Yesterday played 14 hours non stop, went from tier 1 ruby to diamond.By playing mostly support tempest, and sometimes switching to necro, when team needed more dmg. All in solo queue.
You have to play with the Dota mindset, never trust your team to win the game. You have to be the preson, that makes the plays that win you the game. If you are good enough, you will shift the odds in your favour, 80% of the time enemy team is just as bad as your team, and you are the one making the difference.
MMR works exactly the same as in Dota. If you are not improving yourself you will be stuck at the certain MMR range.Blaming the team won’t do you any good, the only person you have to blame is yourself. Yes sometimes you get games that you simply can’t win. But most of the time its 50/50 with you increasing chances of winning the game. Once you get better and start making the game changing plays yourself, you will start winning more games than you lose.
Game isn’t going well? Don’t rage in the map chat, give some advice to people instead. Like if you are playing on the temple of the storm map, keep reminding people when buff is about to spawn by saying 1 min till whatever, 30 sec till whatever. Since average pvp people forget those things. Raging in chat isn’t helping anyone. By raging you juist make people play much worse. Which in return results in you losing more games. So you are just fueling your own rage, in more games you rage, the more more people start playing worse. Which ends your chances for a comeback. And since you lose more games because of it, you rage even more. If you have to rage, dont do it on map/teamchat, just shout at the wall in your room. Just because game is 100 to 250 doesn’t mean it’s lost. Won a lot of games like that in those 14 hours yesterday.
This isn’t the free ride to legendary, you have to multiclass if you want to win more. Since a lot of the times your team will refuse to swap, to fix your team comp, or to counter enemy team. And if you are also one of those people that refuse to repick. Its just asking for a lost game. Since having 4 necros and a revenant isn’t helping anyone.Enemy will just pick 1-2 supports, and you can’t even touch them. Enemy team has 3-4 necros? Switch to aura tempest, it shuts down them hard. Your team has too many supports and lacks the dmg? Switch to a dmg profession, to carry the team by killing people. Just stay positive, give tips to people and carry the game yourself. And you will notice the big difference.
1 single person can’t carry games that hard. You basically just have luck with your comps and matchmaking.
I got +2300 games on Thief, + 1000 games on Engi and alot on Necro.
Doesnt matter what class I play; if your team is just not at your level at all, it will not work.
It’s sometimes even that bad I feel like I’m carrying teamfights with my Thief.
That’s how bad it is with some matches.
There should be more tutorials about strategies and whatnot.
My teams always leave close open and it gets decapped 24/7. Then they decide to rush close with 3 ppl for 1 guy. You got it right; mid lost.
Sometimes I even have to carry ppl’s jobs by contesting a point as thief vs anything.
And they dont even bother come help/switch so I can roam or +1 again.
SoloQ is a RNG Hell. Matchmaking is a lie.
So lemme get this straight.
According to some threads Emerald is cursed.
According to others Sapphire is cursed.

I see plenty of people progressing, better yet in my PvP lobby last night there were more Diamond players hanging around than Ruby players; most likely due to our longer queue times.
I had a lot closer matches throughout Ruby, Diamond matches are even closer. Average game time went from about 8 mins to 10-11 minutes. I believe the system is more accurately spreading out players by skill than we think, but without data from Anet no one can truly say and it’s all subjective.
Putting ppl new to the game or new to pvp, asking how to target putting with someone like me (not pro but experienced though) doesnt make any sense.
I literally had ppl who didnt know how to target ppl or didnt see the point in doing so. THIS HAPPENS IN kittenING RUBY
This game is making me rage so much just because Anet lets randoms/new pvp’ers with exp players. This is so kittened up I believe Anet matchmaking dev is just a sadastic human being.
Same here, been stuck in ruby kitten for a week now. It’s quite ridiculous having ppl to question/wonder why “targeting enemy” is helpfull.

.. has alot of bugs, like really.. Had to restart twice.. Please take a look into all the posts/tockets made about it..
In last section of the fight, he sometimes stays invulnearable and all NPC’s/allies stays still, nothing happens.
Solution is to kill yourself and party members if you got any.
Whats also very annoying is the fact once you die, its over for you and your party is still continueing without you. If someone else started the story, you wont get any credits.. = wasted time

Let me give you a simple example: The green arrow says go there on the map..
While you can’t go there cuz you die if you do.
This is beyond stupid and making the story unnecessary hard.
It’s actually quite frustrating when doing story in the third map with all those caves and levels.
The story does not show on map on what level you need to be and/or does lack LOTS of info in some quests when searching for something.
All those levels in those caves makes questing so complex I just give up and start another game.. It’s clear it was not the same team or supervisor doing this story/quest as the first season, where there was enouugh info on where to go next.
Please at the very least add/indicate what level we need to be or make an arrow showing us what way we need to go, which does not ignore walls.
It is just kittened the way it is now, makes me quit and stay away while I want to complete story.
Fixed, after going to Guild Halls, they magically appeared in my inventory. Not sure if anyone of u did it or just changing the map was enough.

I’ve just lost a small stack of Milling Stones.
I had a small stack of those in my inventory and placed them inside the guild bank.
However, it’s not there but the logs says it is.
Some guildmembers have been looking aswel and came to the same conclusion.

Same here, I’m very disappointed by the lack of information provided on the map about each Hero Point. Some require Masteries (which you don’t know untill you find your way to the Hero point location) or you need to fight an OP Champion which can’t be done with 2 players.
It should be noted on the map if its a champion hero point or if the hero point requires a mastery to unlock it.
Deeply disappointed and really turning me off to play further..
I just done a part from the new story and as a reward it would give me a Golden Strap, said to upgrade my new backpack earned in earlier HoT story.
However, nothing happened and it just disappeared upon receive..

On stream Anet said twice literally “Get to LA, pay 100g and conquer your Guild Halls, all there is to it.”
Wow.. I had to waste 2 hours of my time finding the kitten entrance after paying 100g and get denied access because we need another Mastery to get in? WHAT?
That’s another hour of brainless farming events..
Not to mention all of my guild members need to do this untill they got their second mastery. This is extremely punishing for PvP-only guilds who want to have their Arenas.
Next time make it as you said; pay 100g and conquer it. Not pay 100g, waste your time and waste your time after that to farm 1 more Mastery Point.
Or atleast don’t miss inform people and tell them they need to have a Mastery to get in.

I have to say I find it kittened you need a Mastery to gain entrace to one of them, after paying 100g. This was never mentioned on the stream nor blogs. I had to search 2 hours for the entrance after paying 100g and then being denied entrance cuz “Oh right, forgot to mention u need to farm another hour mindlessly before you can gain access. Oh and the rest of your guild aswel. But thanks for the 100g and your 3 hours of wasted time!”

Not really sure if you would call it a counter, but the warrior/thief 1v1 matchup is highly in favor of the thief in my opinion. Thing is though is that in the time it takes a thief to go through all of a warrior’s invulns + rampage you’d have wasted too much time for it to be worth it or a warrior could get a friend by then.
If we’re talking about Conquest, a thief should never engage anyone in 1v1 but thieves and mesmers.
They are still very good at being the +1 in fights and using their absurd mobility to escape and decap. Honesty I don’t think Thief was supposed to be a 1v1 class, they’re supposed to pick out the weak target and destroy them then get out.
Also, you can still win many 1v1s by camping stealth and slowly wear down their defenses. I’ve also seen good thieves running S/D and S/P to great effect. D/P still feels spammy and is just flat out boring to both play and fight.
D/P remains the best build for thief in Conquest.
Sad but true, ArenaNet is pigeonholding thief in D/P after nerfing/changing acrobatics line.
Update, altered a rule not allowing teams that won ESL Weekly Cup not allowed to join AG.
New rule:
“Not allowed to join if you have won any cash/gem prizes in the Go4GuildWars2 Cups.”
What it means is that if you got into the finals of ESL Weekly Thursday due low amount of teams signing up and have luck with opponents being DQ’d/BYE, you’re still allowed to compete in AG IF you never won a Weekly Go4GuildWars2Cup OR a Monthly Go4GuildWars2Cup!

Base damage is really too high and 3 burning stacks on a single skill is like spike damage, not condi damage.
Professions like Ele D/D , guardian and condi engi (with flamethrower + ip + pistol oh) can stack a ridiculous quantity of burning too fast. I think every burning skill in their case shouldn’t apply more than 1 stack.
If you’re having issues with condi Engi that is your own fault. All of their damage is very well telegraphed. Their access to burning is most builds is limited to the last hit of a 2.25 second channel, napalm which is a burning line on the ground that is clearly visible, IP proc which is 2 stacks every 10 seconds, and blowtorch which is a max of 3 stacks if within 200 range, and IA which can burst you with burn stacks, but places an Icon on the Engineer’s bar so you KNOW it’s coming.
Same goes for Rangers. Their burn application abilities are very well telegraphed and completely avoidable. The biggest offender of unavoidable burns is the Guardian, but that comes in bursts and so you should know to save you cleanse for that burn stack burst which, also, you KNOW is coming.
So much this. Guardian also only applies burning (with the occasional blind). If you can’t out-cleanse one condition, consider changing your build, not the guardian burns.
Burn guards apply more burning than any build can cleanse.. Stop protecting the broken to faceroll you’re way out.
There are more conditions next to burning to be applied so saying “condi cleanse” is absolute bs.
Even if we cleanse the burning, we would die to other conditions so that would make burning OP aswel, forcing us to use our cleanse for one condition.
Don’t forget that condi cleanse is randomized if I remember correctly. You want to cleanse the burn but you will probably cleanse whatever else!

Ok, I’ve had it with all the hate…so I’m gonna address some of the accusations being throw around against eles and hope this helps people appreciate were not monsters but players.
On this past weeks I’ve been playing conquest and dueling against pretty much every class out there, my skill level is normal (not an ubber player, so i can represent every elementalist jumping on the hype train, and so you know ele is my main since forever). In this weeks I’ve been insulted, accused of cheating, received rude comments due to asking for practice vs experienced players (God forgive u ask to practice defensive moves while playing D/D)..and even so I came here so I can at least try to separate fact from fiction:
1) Eles are OP
Yes we are, at this moment we have (always had great sustain) and we also manage to deal tons of damage (burning) and also we shine in team fights and can drag fights on points as we see fit.
2) Burning damage is OP on ele
Yes it is, would love to see it reduced (less burn stacks so we don’t destroy condition based builds), we shouldn’t have so much dps as an attrition class
3)Eles have too many sustain
STOP! NO just no…this game is already fast and furious enough…we need some classes to be able to be on point and not melt in 10 seconds flat to a spike…we and guardian bunkers are needed and have a role to play…what we shouldn’t have is sustain and DPS.
4)Eles require no skill, u just need to learn to learn combos and there u go
Are u kidding me???? u need to keep track of cooldowns know when and where not to skip rotations to avoid/deal a spike and return to optimal rotation, u need to manage the smallest health pool of the game knowing that when you’re spiked u have about 10 seconds to react or your dead…I don’t ask for u guys to love eles but this is just wonkers…until the latest balance patch we were considered one of the hardest classes to play and no one contested this…balance patch hits and we no longer take skill…righttttttt
They literally require no skill to fullfill the role you’re supposed to do in Conquest
5)PU mesmers and stealth regen thiefs that say that healing on ele is cheesy….
Come on guys…seriously? Seems to me there’s no difference in outhealing while kitting or disappearing and regen health as you need thus resetting the fight.
Stealth regen thieves… They do not outheal you, you outheal them by a very great amount. Just auto attacking in Air will already outheal the thief in stealth..
6)D/D eles win every duel…
Not true at all but we can drag fights so reinforcement come and thus turn a 1vs1 into a team fight…that is our ROLE. Several matchups are pretty bad for us:
PU mesmers
Shatter mesmers
Berzerker thiefs
Berzerker warriors
Condition and celestial necros
D/D has only real 1 counter in duels, which is the cele necro. D/D eles can easily defeat a Mesmer and most certainly a thief. If you can’t, thats actually a L2P issue

Yes you can. If you bring up your scoreboard, you can look at how many kills you have at the bottom of the scoreboard.
OP means a Leaderboard with kills, not just from one match but the entire pvp path you done.

Thats 100% what I said in the game and its true: we’re being pigeonhold into going D/P AND SA traitline, with the current condi-hype.
“Build Diversity”.. Was about to cry, really..
Even losing to Mesmers 1v1 and DPS guards even have it easier etc.
I’m actually disappointed in Thief in this patch:
- no Build Diversity (you’re stuck with d/p in competitive PvP)
- more counters vs thief (even mesmers can now beat thief np) while thief doesnt get more to counter
- still same +1 and decap role
- Thieves didnt got what they were promised (higher heal for higher cd, we only got higher CD HAH, what a joke)
- Trait: Hidden Thief
- Line: Shadow Arts
- Position: Master
- Description: Stealing Gives You Stealth (no ICD)
- Bug: This trait doesn’t give the Stealth 50% of the times when it should. Im not getting revealed either so its not due attacking while using Steal.
