Honestly, their intention was to give the casuals something to look at fr a couple of hours and destroy Fractals for the people that actually did them. They can claim on paper “look at the great updates we made!” when the reality is that they destroy their game one update after another. Maybe some big name in eSports will feel bad for them and throw them a bone, though. There’s always that to keep things moving along.

The most fun way to do Dredge Fractal that my groups has found is to roll for Dredge on Fractal 38, take in 5 WvW specc’d Necromancers (since I agree, minmaxing is really bad and toxic to the game), and try to kill everything with only poison. You will actually do so little damage and the Instability will cause your poison to heal the mobs, so it is literally impossible to complete the Fractal. It’s a very good design and I suggest everyone try it before they hate on it because that is just their opinion.

I suggest you ask Scion Storm Gaming and Nemesis or whatever his name is because they. Are good and really know how. To play

People need to l2bombs. Dredge with no stealth isn’t really an inconvenience or problem. No reflects means you actually have to rely on a mechanic that most people are unaware of (dodging).

The main issue with dredge is their immunity to blind. Why are they immune to blind? Because they look like moles? That is a silly reason.
Every creature immune to a condition like embers/destroyers to burning, hylek to poison etc. also applies it. So it follows that dredge should be able to apply blinds too. Please fix this anet so I can enjoy lore immersion.

I always found it ironic that dredge are immune to blind, but are still fooled by stealth.

Let’s hope a dev reads your post so that we can get that in a patch note :

I noticed that the word “opinion” is being tossed around carelessly is most forums I have been. It’s usually used when someone has no more counter-argument to raise (sometimes, it’s name calling, ie: fanboy).

If I say GW2 sucks because it’s boring, that’s an opinion.
If I say Sunrise is better than Twilight because it’s more uncommon, that’s an opinion.
If I say that a dungeon post is correctly moved to dungeon section, it’s a fact simply because there is a forum description to back it up.

Look, I get what this thread is all about. I really do. I also get that OP wants to bring this to ANet, that’s why it’s originally posted on GD. I would’ve done the same. But when ANet’s mods did the right move, don’t QQ. For once they did something correctly.

He did it with Cleric’s, but I suppose it’s even easier with Magi’s as your base life pool will be bigger. It might actually allow some room for error, which he completely lacked in his video. (Unless Light of orb deals damage based on the actual life, of course.)

It deals a percentage of your total health, so adding more HP does absolutely nothing. The Cleric’s armor / trinkets actually gets you a lot of extra distance, and it’s not really a problem to keep it in your inventory. You are going out to retrait anyways, so you could just put it into your bank while retrait if it bothers you to have it in your inventory.

AH is bad and the only reason to use it is because you lack skill.

Today I did Arah with some guy who probably put my level of aggressiveness and condescension to shame. When he died at crusher/hunter he was like “well I can solo this when I actually try”, he didn’t dodge the mark detonation at magecrusher that much and he (along with three others) faceplanted at Lupi so I solo’d phase 3.

Sure, I’d probably run with the guy again, but it’s a little reminder to everyone to not try to act too big if you’re just going to faceplant, I mean I’ve had that experience once with a forumer I won’t name (they weren’t kitteny but they complained about pugs on here and they ended up just being a GS camping warrior, lolwut, and there’s another example I won’t go in to), and I’m sure people were tragically disappointed when they did dungeons with me and learnt that I’m actually capable of dying.

Arah though … I’m seriously much happier duo or 3-manning it with like guildies or something rather than pugging, me and guan today had to boot basically the entire team because they aggro’d a mage when we were stacking on the ooze and obviously weren’t experience, and would have just died on Lupicus melee.

You don’t even need dodges, stun breaks, or Stability. In 100% of all of the cases you would get knocked down, running past the mobs with Swiftness is good enough.

Give me a break. Different situations and goals for different people.
Somehow I felt it was more important to do things like maintain
a relationship with my GF, get outside for some exercise
and see friends face to face instead of being glued to my computer
hunting and learning all the in and outs of GW2. Spending months
of time and money crafting my legendary weapon just so I can AFK in
LA showing it off or shooting other people with flying ponies. Researching
my toons ability’s to be all I can be in GW2

Other people want to kill the most magic dragon in game
and spends hours upon hours grinding to craft some super weapon
so they can leave cute little rainbows under their feet when they walk.
Boasting about how epic they are and their latest kills.
I could care less … but you don’t see me calling them names
or knocking them for their style of game play.

I play a casual game in a casual guild with a couple of friends.

If I play a little more then with said casual friends, I pug it.
If I want to do a little more then continually wipe, die and spend gold
on repairs, I go support. You will never see me in end content and honestly
…. I really don’t care. Its not going to be my end life legacy.

Perhaps you don’t realize that I go to college, have a job, and still manage to be one of the best players in the game. Most everyone in my guild has a “life,” a job, goes to college or has graduated with a degree already. I typically find that the best players in any game are people that actually do things in real life and are able to apply themselves and understand whatever situation they have been put in, and I also tend to find that forum knights that can barely string sentences together offer nothing to anyone and typically stock shelves at their local grocery store.

lol.. first of all. I don’t just run around putting bleeds on the boss. I was really just summing it up cause I don’t feel like typing 6 pages to explain a rotation.

Warrior is only the easiest in PvE because the regen out heals everything and u dont have to think. But the most brain dead professions overall are necro\ranger. Necro only spams AoE and enters in death shroud to avoid damage

Hey! I actually like my Necro. I don’t just sit back and spam Aoe. You cant. The cool downs take to long. Maybe when pulling pats but seriously.. who doesn’t? Wor/blades,
Ele/frost bow or earth quake ect, Rang/ Million arrow thing ect, ect. On a boss fight, I get all my bleeds up then run around finding ppl in my group who were standing in fire, red circles, standing in the damage cone of the boss or just dead and clear conditions and/or drop a well of blood to heal them up to avoid a wipe. The Necro… well my style of Necro play any ways, has always been a support charter that reminds me a lot of, dare a say, a disc priest. Do damage, get health, transfer it to your party.

You talk about Necro being brain dead cause they have to think about when to push a button to enter death shroud to avoid damage. Death shroud doesn’t last forever. It runs out pretty quick and if you don’t use it at the right times.. your dead. As a posed to a worrier that doesn’t have to think about anything. Most of there damage mitigation is already built in. Between stacking plate (heavy armour) and other stat’s ect. They really don’t have to think about anything except push button to swing weapon. Now that sounds brain dead.

There are exploits / safe spots for Warriors to stand and range. It’s not really hard to pull off, and unless you see someone doing it (which you won’t), you can’t really know that they did it.

Why range when you can melee? I just kite him around the crates while axe auto-attacking and reset the crates when I’m out of them, much faster.

Because the people that exploit Alphard are bad and need safe spots.

I’m quite sure that they are unaware of the majority of the exploits in Arah. Interestingly enough, most of the band aid invisible walls can be bypassed. The only solution that will start to help things is programming the events to activate in a sequence. You can skip to Operative Brie in every single path of Arah, get the phase shifted buff, and kill all of the bosses while being invulnerable to damage. Likewise, you can get the Staff of Radiance in every path and permanently stun every single mob in the dungeon. You can unlock various waypoints from other paths, you can kill bosses from other paths, you can skip Lupicus in path 1 and 2. The event sequencing problem needs to be addressed, then the terrain jumping won’t be as much of a problem.

It’s not like people don’t make videos and post them for the public to see. I’ve personally sent Anet footage (with commentary) of various path 2 exploits, and there are other videos of exploits for different paths publicly available on Youtube. Invisible walls will not and do not fix the problem. You should not be able to jump directly to Lupicus in path 3 and 4, kill him, and then continue the rest of the dungeon without doing more than half of it. Maybe I should just make more videos and send them in since Arenanet is kittening incompetent and needs players to do their work for them.

It’s pathetic how much you all are crying because they made the path have a modicum of difficulty. By the way, there’s a hole in the wall in the room with all the spiders so you dont have to use the golem and you don’t have to walk through the electric wall, something you might have noticed if you weren’t trying to brainlessly exploit your way through it like you usually do.

But we aren’t even real so it doesn’t mater. We are just a brain in a jar and this is all our imagination.

I’ve had professors that couldn’t write that well.

The only things they changed about Belka (that I am aware of so far) are:

1. the range that she aggros was increased, preventing you from max range AFKing her
2. If you attack her, she immediately activates
3. she can’t attack you if you are underwater, but she was able to before the patch

The changes were made because Anet doesn’t know what code does.

Just take the noble route and teach pugs how to skip everything.

Actually I just managed to solo Alphard just to prove that even after the buffs he’s still pretty easy. It was an afk fight to be honest. I have no idea why are you complaining. Pics attached.

How the hell do you get past Lupi and kill Alphard without finishing your daily dodger?

You don’t have to dodge at Alphard and you don’t have to kill Lupicus in order to complete path 2 or 3. You can pull Alphard away from the arena and strafe back and forth while ranging, causing all of the projectiles and pull to constantly miss you. You literally take no damage. Or you can just pull Alphard to the boxes and run around one of them while meleeing and you also won’t take much damage. Or you can exploit the fight in one of the numerous ways and completely AFK the whole fight.

You can still fight all of the path 2 bosses underwater, even Alphard.

Simin is even easier when you fight her on the rock.

This build will work, but you’ll want to bring a Greatsword along for some trash mob fights and you’ll also need a Longbow for whenever your group decides the only way to beat a boss is to range it. You also want an Ice Drake for Chill and cleave on its attacks, and a Reef Drake would be fine for your swap pet.

You might want to consider using the in game LFG tool.

I know how you did it. And there’s really nothing to brag about with soloing path 2 because you can literally AFK all of the bosses and take no damage.

Don’t assume anything, I didn’t skip any of the bosses or use any safe spots to afk them. I still won’t say that this was an incredibly impressive achievement but the point still stands that eles can easily hold their own in Arah.
