I remember at first i was really bored because i was a mesmer everyone i asked reccomended it saying its strong and very fun to play. For me it was attack and copy yourself and thats it.

After a week or so playing because i kept thinking it would get more fun and it did not i switched to guardian and man is it a blast running into enemies with a greatsword to their face.

Not saying choose a guardian but choose a different class for a prototype character and test it out.

I think the loot drop rates are fine as they are now, but loot from Veterans and (especially) Champions needs a buff. Either:

a) Depending on their level and location, Veterans should always drop a Masterwork/Rare item. Champions should always drop a Rare/Exotic item. Note that Rare Crafting Materials like Charged Cores/Lodestones can be part of the Rare/Exotic loot table.

b) Veterans and Champions should always be guarding a chest or a rich node of some kind. Currently it’s rather annoying to have to gather a group of 6+ players to defeat some Champion for a Group Event, only for no chest or decent loot to drop from the battle. Doing the event for its own sake is fun (as is helping out other players), but without some kind of tangible reward, eventually players will just migrate to whichever area is the most profitable.

Either of these changes should help encourage players to visit places off the beaten track and challenge formidable opponents. Currently my experience is that unless there’s a chest at the end with a chance for nice loot or a valuable node, most players tend to skip tough enemies/events as they don’t consider it worth it for the time/deaths invested.

Maybe a higher chance to drop rares and exotics but dropping 1 every kill would lead to people farming them for rares and the economy doing a tapdance down the drain.

I main a Necro and play FoTM and other dungeons every day. Never had a single issue with anyone complaining about my class. Not sure why you would think people do.

As for PvE being dead, I have NFI what your talking about. I can’t go two minutes without running into people everywhere I go. Sure there are is a bigger spread going to WvW and dungeons, but there are still people everywhere. I can only guess that maybe its the server you are playing on.

Tarnished coast friend. And you are one of few then who dungeon with no problem i commonly and i mean it strongly commonly see people hosting games and restricting anyone but guardians or warriors.

This. Guild Wars 2, the game that existed before November 15th, is not the same as GW2, the game that came after November 15th. That’s why people are mad.

As for the lack of subscription and it being a “risk” to themselves… I would be exceptionally surprised if they could have come even remotely close to the income they’ve gotten from their cash shop by using a subscription based system. Some of the folks on here have put ridiculous amounts of money into that, and continue to do so just to convert gems -> gold.

What did before november 15th gw2 have that this guild wars 2 doesnt have? Sorry got this game on christmas so idk what the difference would be.

That would be guardian and warrior.

Guardian is a real good tanker good damage good survivability and very team helping,

Warrior is a slightly better than guardian when it comes to damage but not a whole lot, they have more weapons than the guardian but only the duel axes and bow matter in terms of different weapons otherwise warrior is just a somewhat stronger guardian.

Meh sometimes i dont always want my enemys to drop something.

Agree 100% havent done fractals of the mist but before i came to this wonderful game there was a dungeon gamemode where constantly for skritts and giggles people would kick and laugh it up with their team.

Been trying to figure out what this dude armor i saw was it was 100% sweet.

The armor i cant give good detail but he had a hood with a skull not the necromancer’s skull because i think he was a warrior. It looked like an actual skull with a hood over it.

Anyone know? I so so so so so 500 so want it.

I love heavy armor some legs r bad but almost all heavy looks threatening.

I’d lean more at the medium and the trenchcoats having the negative area.

Coming from a mmo before this game…a really crappy one everyone around you was your enemy. If you died people would dance for joy because you would lose all your items.

Plus even though legendaries and stuff are something to brag they are not much too brag about where people swarm the dude saying free gold plz?

I can reccomend a grind spot if you want but i dont reccomend rushing leveling.

Vale waypoint has a troll monster, bandit event, grub event (south for the grub event) then after the grub event giant baracuda event, and a hungry bear event all happen less than 5-10 minutes.

Oh ya vale waypoint is in queensdale (human territory) btw.

True i heard cases of that as well with a guild leader telling everyone to put money in the guild for a grand prize drawing on a date and swiped all the cash.

While i do agree with this every class no matter how many faults any class can be a op class. Its how you use that class you could turn the most weakest attack ever add a pinch of strategy and it would be the deadliest.

Its only a grind if you make it a grind. Whenever i try to level up because i want to it becomes boring. If i dont care if im leveling and focuse on the fun around me ill level up and have twice as fun.

Anet logic in gw1 , if you completed the game, you could like choose an extoic weapon. only exotics were green in gw1. But yeah gw2 = 0 logic, i think their whole programming stuff about drop-rates & rewards is some simple code that generates stuff randomly so they don’t have to put any work into the reward system.

True about that. Even though i love the random drops its a eyebrow raiser how a 100 foot monster dropped me 14 copper and a puny spider dropped me a 27s rare item.

Hey i got a question.

I was wondering how one of my friends friend makes money he has about 500 or so gold. He told me he was in a guild once about a month or so ago he was in a guild and took everything from the bank then got kicked 10 or so minutes later

Would he eventually get banned from the game though for it? Or can you not get banned for guild bank stealing?

I think that sums it up perfectly in my opinion. Whats wrong with putting what could effect real world economy as well as gaming community economy. I think you just think his statement was blatant because he didnt say “omg unban those players omg hate you guys!”

All that money could ruin the owner/bank/etc which would lead to people not trusting that company.

All that gold could ruin the economy making prices drop and rise frustrating players leading players to quit from that company.

Honestly there is no reason to farm. Whats the point of playing a game if you’re being miserable for 200 hours to be happy for 1 hour that you got a legendary or w.e enjoy the game rather than the items this coming from a dude who LOVES loot.

Whatever it is i want it.

Not the responsibility but the lack of common sense if something is too good to be true it probly is.
