Hello, just an idea about the way the backpack tools work, namely ‘Deposit All Collectables’, ‘Compact’ and ‘Bags Hidden’.

First i think it would be very helpful and less work if there was a hotkey to ‘Deposit All Collectables’, that way while spamming F around mobs during fights if my bag suddenly became full i could quickly make room by either opening my bag or not and pressing the ‘Deposit All Collectables’ hotkey instead of clicking that little gear icon and then clicking again. This could be done for the other 2 options as well if people think so.

Reasons, QoL, but also i find when my bags become near full i am constantly spamming the Deposit menu button to make room for more stuff, so i think this feature could be used just as frequently with less clicking.

Alternatively, i don’t really see the need for the gear menu icon, i think it would be easier if each option in the menu had their own button up the top, i have made a sketch of this in the attachment below (ofc it would have different icons :P). Each icon respectively represents the menu choices in the current menu. Let me know what you think of each idea.

What we just did was get everyone in Teamspeak into a party with the people in the Overflow we wanted to use, then Join them there, yet we still had lots of stragglers. :P o well, we’ll try again 2morow.

I’ll still keep on trying though, don’t really want to get a kill on another server (as of yet), it’s just amazing how hard it is to organize an overflow for us on TS to play in heh :P

I asked the lady leading the Teq kill guild in SoS, they said they were waiting a week for the trolls and afkers to get bored and leave then they were going to try.

They said they meet up at 6pm AEST, that’s 6pm Sydney, Australia Time (GMT+10) on SoS Teamspeak.

So if there’s any time to meet up on TS, i would suggest this time, doesn’t matter if only 30 people show up on the first day, keep showing up until we finally have 100+, tell your friends and guilds and map chat in SoS, it’s time for the Aussies to beach this whale.

In game information would be ‘the community’. It is a multiplayer game after all, i don’t even remember anything close to guides in WoW until Cataclysm which i never read anyway because fights were easily learned after 1-2 tries with a good leader.

Most guides go above and beyond detailing what devs intended for the fight anyway, that’s the beauty of a community, we are the best source of information.

Sometime around October, the damage number floaters for each condition will be consolidated into 1 number for each condition type.

So i’m guessing instead of seeing:
116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 300, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 116, 300
You will see:
(Bleed Icon) 928, (Poison Icon) 300, (Bleed Icon) 928, (Poison Icon) 300

Making it a lot easier to see how much dot damage you’re doing.

I don’t see why people are upset, we already have an LFG tool that tonnes of players use, there’s no social aspect to that. Also it doesn’t matter if people are upset with the tool, look at gw2lfg.com, you can see people want something like this in GW2.

Then, i dunno why you would still use gw2lfg if the in-game LFG has the exact same features + more, had more people and was easier to access, but you can do whatever you want haha no one cares rly. :P

Finally, you guys get angry about the weirdest things on the internet, i really don’t get it lol.

Ah, so i’m gonna hafto buy that nub wallet anyway, that’s good to know at least i won’t get kittened over again because i didn’t know something small like that, so thanks. o/

Someone offered to help me, but the servers went down for an update and i was left in the instance server that has 2 hours left, so an invite didn’t let him join.

I just exited the game to update and so lost my progress anyway.

Are you sure? About April that is. The rate back then certainly seemed like 100% or high enough to be indistinguishable. I don’t ever remember opening a chest without getting a coin back then. Even for the easy ones just sitting out in the open in Queensdale.

I remember in April opening about 10 JP chests and getting no coins at all, while my friend got them more than 50% of the time, we did JPs together just to get coins, and i ended up disappointed by the end.

It’s just RNG.

I dunno how to get past these trees in Rapids, i tried going down to the left and across to the waterfall, but then it looks like a trick dead end because log jumping doesn’t work.

I also tried going behind me and on top of the shop, jumping on the tree there and trying to get onto the cliff area to the right of the checkpoint, that also seemed too hard.

I’m fresh out of ideas :P and Dulfy doesn’t seem to have anything out yet. Please help \o/

Eventually your head will count for you, your brain will learn how to count down 17-20 seconds and before you know it, you will never go into DS without doom off CD.

I’ve used it numerous times in all occasions of the game, but always end up swapping it back out for other more popular skills. Maybe it’s just because i can see the detrimental effects of other skills more clearly, while the effects of CPC might actually be more devastating to my enemies than i think.

There’s no reason not to have another game mode, even if they released it straight to hotjoin and not tourney play, at least hotjoin wouldn’t be such a drag.

Spirit Watch is Spirit Watch, a real CTF would mean the flag caps are the points, first to 3, or 5, or x would win, not just contribute 30 points to 500. Secondary objectives? Maybe do X to give flag bearer a buff.

Dietzen that may help decrease the amount of AOE spam and AI clutter in sPvP and would be a good topic for another sub-forum. Whether the other traits warrant an ICD like this one i cant comment on, but i think some Mesmers might rage at u :P

Ye but they work differently,
Mark of Evasion applies 2 stacks (8 secs i think?) is affected by all the mark traits, meaning it can be greater mark size.
Caltrops trait is only 1 bleed + cripple (4 secs) and only 100 radius, lasting only 4 seconds instead of 10.

Unless the wiki is outdated, these should be the correct values.

I don’t do Living Story because i enjoy the lame content and boring cut scenes :P i do it because it gives access to huge chunks of easy achievement points (which i now care about since the AP rewards patch) and to get the limited time rewards that i need to get within 2 weeks or i will (most of the time) never see them again. Also some of these rewards sell for good $$$ after the content is gone.

The only temporary content that i have EVER actually enjoyed participating in, was Super Adventure Box, even after i bought 2 back pieces. And thank god that is coming back.

I use Warhorn instead of Dagger, Locust Swarm generates around 1.7% LF per enemy per second. So if you are around a lot of clones and pets and players, this will blow up your LF pool.

In WvW i have no problem generating it because people are constantly dying.

There are reasons why sPvP has structured gear, first is because it’s ‘structured’ PvP :P but it’s because that’s where Anet feels the stats should be at for a competitive balanced environment.

PvE gear is very powerful and allows classes like thief to 1-2 shot most players with ease, which is fine for WvW because it’s not balanced or structured around 1vx scenarios, it’s all large scale battles.

The only way PvE gear would work inside sPvP is with mechanisms like Resilience, but that’s a whole other topic.

There could be more stat combinations i guess, i personally don’t know if that would be balanced or not, only Anet knows that. But as for directly allowing PvE gear in sPvP, that could open up some obvious issues.

There are many things that would bring WvW players to sPvP, i play both in a structured manner, not in a casual manner, and i can say that i would play sPvP more if there were real rewards and more importantly better game modes.

It’s like playing Arathi Basin in WoW, it’s a brilliant map and very fun even after 8 years, but to play it constantly every single match, is zero fun. That’s the same for Conquest in Gw2, it’s basically the same every map with just a different look and different ‘secondary’ objectives, but even those secondary objects on certain maps are a pain and very boring or not worth doing at all in Hotjoin.

The way Hotjoin and sPvP is setup makes it not even seem like a game mode, it’s just a sandbox of walking practice targets to test out stuff. This is what separates sPvP from other games, it’s just not fun nor rewarding.

Take Counterstrike for instance, the game is fun, winning gives self satisfaction due to the balanced nature and promotion of skill the game requires, this is why games like that don’t need objectified rewards like glory points to make u enjoy it. Then there’s games that do reward you for winning, reward you with meaningful rank, or ELO, or spending points for real things that improve yourself in-game. These 2 things, rewards and satisfaction are what make people enjoy a game and enjoy winning, at a primitive level.

GW2 has these things too, but it’s very very limited for a large player base, the balance is off, people are getting frustrated with fighting certain builds/classes, the rewards can be completely meaningless for someone who cares not for skins. This is why people don’t enjoy hotjoin that much, and the motivation for winning is low.

Now imagine sPvP with tangible rewards and more fun and enjoyable game modes. Sure class balance may still be off to a point, but the game now promotes a reason for teamwork, and a reason to win, which would kind of make class imbalances seem less frustrating.

This is my view on why players in general, not just WvWers, do not enjoy sPvP.

Skills – I actually really love the skills, most of the time i use a staff it’s not placing a mark down on the ground, it’s simply selecting an area to deal AoE bleeds, poisons, chills, fear and condition transfer.

Animations – I don’t want any more flashy bullcrap particle effects in the game, and if they ever do put any in, the new Effect LOD option needs to remove them.

Upon precise analysis of the video, it looks like to me that at around 25% of the cast the reaper starts to get drawn from the head down, and by the end of the cast, the reaper is fully drawn and visible.

Just so lazy people don’t have to watch the video.

Ye i want this, but if they do implement it, please Anet get it right. I would personally enjoy it, because PvP games in GW2 are short, fast-paced and require quick acting and decision making. That’s just how it is in a game where you can be taken down faster than typing ‘help henge’.

Also i trust the community enough for this to work well, where i wouldn’t trust it would be Xbox Live and any Free 2 Play game.

Balance aside, this big fear symbol is kind of ‘lame’, if that’s the right word, not because i find it OP or whatever, but it just feels stupid, like i’m playing some Japanese or Korean RPG where girl animations pop out whenever you use special attacks or something.

It’d be much cooler if it turned us INTO a reaper for the duration of the fear instead of paste a stupid fear poster above our head.

Iiiiiiiiii don’t really like the kinds of people f2p games attract, if a kid can’t buy the game and his mum won’t buy it for him for whatever reason, then +1 to b2p model.

Also i don’t want LA chat filled with GUILD WARS 2 BEST $$$$$$$ COIN… you get the picture. I only see these botters like once a week, and they don’t last long. Praise b2p \o/.

But more importantly is my first point, i don’t want the community ruined, the people i meet around Tyria, my Guild and in dungeons have mostly been very nice, mature, and funny, even some servers bow after a fight in WvW. F2p would take that away.
