Nothing more advanced than the broom. If it flies off the ground or increases movement speed, it has no place here. I’m hoping the staff pranks everyone by giving a ‘mount’ that gives negative movement. Nothing says “F Off” like a slow-moving Gooeyduck.

Negative movement speed as in past zero. Trying to move would slowly roll back your account.

Will existing achievements get converted?

I hope they leave the achievement points we’ve gotten for the dailies up to this point.

That’s repeatable, but not really something you can exploit (at best, you can still only do your one daily a day).

I don’t think you have to worry about that. It is a completely different thing. Points earned through dailies and monthlies were acquired through normal gameplay, unlike the extreme cases of Agent of Entropy.

Toxyn.9608

I have 418 in Agent of Entropy – with zero exploits. Lots of people who craft, farm or trade a lot will have several hundred in this achievement so I hope that is taken into account.

Then you have nothing to lose from limiting the currently infinite achievements. You achieved those points through normal gameplay – meaning you didn’t lose any gold from buying salvage kits and gear with only the goal of salvaging achievement points. You were going to salvage anyways, for crafting.

The only people who are effected are those that salvaged for the goal of salvaging “pointless points”. Even those people gain something from this, as they will already have it capped and thus have the maximum amount of points from it. At least now those points will have tangible purpose.

I only had two worries:

1. That already completed achievements might be ignored when a system using them is integrated.

2. That infinite achievements cause an imbalance.

I’m more bothered by the fact that nothing is immune to bleeding. earth elementals, ghosts, golems…they all bleed. I figure if they were going to give the dredge an immunity based in lore they should have been more consistent with it as an over all design.

It isn’t anything game breaking. Obviously it comes down to a game play based decision taking precedent over lore. But I can definitely relate with you being puzzled by it.

I’m sure more exceptions exist. Off the top of my head, there’s the Destroyers (fire-based) who can be immune to burning.

Three major things were mentioned about WvW:

1. There will be unique abilities.
2. There will be prestige ranks.
3. There will be leaderboards.

Put all three together and I think a good guess is rank-based titles and abilities, somehow based on personal performance in WvW.

Become a top ranked WvW player and get an ability to rally your troops and have a high military ranked title.

Balance doesn’t even have to be a factor. Like you said, Fay, it is a great way to improve against other professions an learn how to counter them – even if you don’t have a chance of winning due to 1v1 balance.

It is also fun finding epic places to duel and creating unofficial dueling spots.

RED CIRCLE GRAPHICS!

Toxyn.9608

I mentioned this in my New Player’s thread as the major issue with the game for me. As someone that has eye problems including issues distinguishing certain colors apart from each other, we need the ability to change the color of the circle. For me, simply filling it in with more red will not help.

As long as each of the basic colors are given as a choice in the options menu, the problem could be fixed for people who have similar issues. This way we could change the circle to contrast with the ground textures of any given area.

This needs to be done for accessibility reasons, otherwise players like myself are dead in the water during encounters such as the Eternal Flame.

Toxyn.9608

Race change is one of those things that, while I realize could bring in good revenue, has a negative effect on gaming. It is my opinion that in an RPG you should commit to your character. Being able to race change also reduces the life of a game. Want the Norn experience? Create one and enjoy. Similar to how people want to change their Order. Commit!

Fast-tracking has become too prevalent in gaming. Things such as paying to change commitment choices and tools that break a community (LFG)…I just do not see why we need these.

in Suggestions

Posted by: Toxyn.9608

Toxyn.9608

Advertisement is a hit or miss kind of thing. If we’re talking television, then the best timeslots for a commercial would be weekly primetime (9pm-12pm) and Saturday morning/afternoons. Unfortunately these are also the most expensive slots. Not to mention that many people in the target demographic have switched to free/paid streaming services for their television.

Buying a page in a gaming mag is cost effective in comparison, although that is also a dieing media.

Then we have website advertisements. These are by far the most effective for game advertisements as they can be shown on specific websites where gamers are sure to gather. MMOC usually runs a GW2 ad, for example.

So I think ANet is handling advertisement quite well. They are getting their name out there while not wasting money. Free advertising such as TIME’s game of the year column is a great bonus.

In the large majority of cases it is better to respawn at a waypoint rather than wait for a res. Unless you mean the downed state instead of actual death. The risks outweigh the benefits if you’re fully dead.

It takes a long time to revive someone that is fully dead. During this time, the person reviving you gets bumped up the aggro chain, resulting in a high probabiliry of death themselves.

Why would anyone want to turn off dynamic levelling anyways? You would no longer gain level-appropriate drops and experience, making it pointless. I see zero gain from having this option.

The unlocked dye library should be account wide. Unlike other things such as Bag Slots, the dye collection takes a large amount of resources (time, gold, and/or gems) to complete. Challenge Mode for dungeons

What I’m saying is that requesting a feature to be taken directly from another game isn’t an idea. Put a spin on it.

Want a challenge mode? Drop the time-based aspect and…I don’t know…perhaps a “Perfection” mode. If no one dies during your dungeon run, a second chest appears at the end which contains an assortment of T6 mats, additional dungeon tokens, and a small hance at a precursor.

This gives people the option to drop their Beserker builds and experiment with more sustainable builds. It also helps lessen the grind for the legendary and makes getting dungeon gear quicker.

This idea could of course be tweaked.

Things like this instead of, paraphrasing; “use WoWs challenge mode”.
