and what about your CPU temperature?
Seems varied, my GTX 690 chews up the game pretty handily at 5760×1080, at 1920 I don’t even see a stutter unless I’m in a major city overflow server and I expect that but even then it’s minimal.
Only issues I have is with surround and the UI
i7-2600k, 8gb mushkin blackline ddr3-1600, evga p67 ftw, asus gtx 690, ocz vertex 3 120gb ssd
also not entirely sold on the whole 580/690 thing :P the GK104 chip has 3x the cuda cores per chip (6x total), faster core speed, faster memory, 28nm process and the 192GB/s is per core etc. Plus all of the microstutter reduction shenanigans. Even in benchmarks, like Metro 2033 the 690 chews up a 580 SLI setup

Pretty much what Scott said, a reboot like that is the computer trying to protect itself either from heat or from a power issue. Clean it out first, get yourself something like Real Temp or SpeedFan to monitor your temperatures.
Then I would suggest a new router if that’s possible? I personally have never even heard of Zyxel until now. Which isn’t surprising as I don’t often deal with rebranded oem products at my job. But it strikes me as being a relatively cheap product.
If you haven’t tried it already, try the steps here:

Long shot, and even though this link is to a WoW website the application isn’t specific to that game.

Tunes up some windows settings, it’s become one of the things I install first after a fresh windows installation. Works miracles in terms of latency and intermittent connection issues.

I have the same issues. I also noticed a new odd one, when I capture screen shots under water on my 3 monitor setup it actually gray’s out the center screen area.
Clearly the problem is related to the giant shark about to eat your Elementalist!
I’ll have to try that when I get home as well, never noticed but I haven’t tried taking any underwater SS’s yet.
Try disabling the firewall on the router, or make sure it has exceptions in place for Guild Wars 2.
I am also experiencing this god forsaken bug too. My GPU doesn’t run over 41 celsius on high settings, so it is not a heat issue. I’ve tried underclocking tremendously (pushing the sliders all the way to the left in MSI).
Same results.
We’ve got a lot of people trying endless solutions, with many different graphics cards and many different motherboards and processors. How is this a user end issue?
Because you’re running the same game as everyone else but not everybody has an issue? That’s my viewpoint anyway…

My i7 at home plays the game significantly better than my Core2duo here at work. Which this thread and tests would seem to attest shouldn’t be the case. Pretty sure there’s a flaw in the testing methodology somewhere.
Please see this thread and keep an open mind.

I can peg most of those as being underpowered systems or unrealistic user expectations. A Q6600 getting only 10-15fps in WvW? Working as expected.

Dynamic IP - will i need to validate with email each time to log in?

@Venor – Some ISP’s still use dynamic IP’s to prevent their users from making webservers on their side of the line. I know of UPC and Alice doing it in the past (no UPC user for a real long time now and Alice is no more in Holland).
This was my assumption as well when the OP was referring to a Dynamic IP.

Even with a dynamic IP they’re still assigned from a relatively common block, usually the first 2 or first 3 octets remain the same as your ISP is given a specific block of IP addresses it can hand out and your first route will typically remain the same. I’d say it’s unlikely you’ll have to authenticate all the time.

I noticed this as well, all I did was rename the gw2.dat and redownload the smaller version. Deleted the old beta package afterwards, save yourself 2GB of disk space. As Drintar said it’s likely old components or assets that were part of beta updates etc that didn’t get stripped out.

Yeah It doesn’t look like it is high on their priority list.
Who can blame them? Multi monitor gaming is a niche.
I am happy with loot and minimap for now, as I barely read chat, use TS3 for all my communication needs. :-)I’ll update this thread if the fix gets updated to have the chat back in the middle screen. It was working on day 1.
Niche or otherwise, I know I got this setup specifically for GW2 after watching the PAX and E3 demos on systems using a triple display setup and my immediate reaction was “do want!” Which is odd since in those demos there were no apparent UI issues
I can live with the cutscenes and char selection looking wacky because those are just niggling little details, but oh man does the chat and party frame thing annoy the hell out of me!

I use it personally. I am aware of the bug with chat and party on the left screen. However HaYdeN should resolve that issue soon, I and others have submitted bug reports to him. At least the minimap and loot shows up on the middle screen. Better than nothing for now. :-)
See I don’t have an issue with the minimap or loot windows etc. just the chat frame and party frame. Very odd.
idk I’m hoping for a more “official” action to correct it, though we may have to wait a while as they seem pretty backed up lol.

Had a thought that the resolution might be skewed because I’m running a 1×3 setup with an accessory display on top. Tried disabling my accessory display but the problem persists in fullscreen and windowed mode.
edit: Also not sure if I made it clear before, disabling surround entirely and playing at 1920×1080 on a single display has no issues at all. Well…there is an issue in that I have 2 black displays either side!

Updated with screenshots.
To summarize them in windowed mode the aspect seems correct, but it’s scaled incorrectly, can only see from the waist up on the selection and creation screens.
In fullscreen, the background art is restricted to the center display and all models are stretched horizontally.
As a side note, might be limited to just myself, in the racial selection screens in Fullscreen the selection graphics (ie. Charr, Norn etc.) flicker. Doesn’t seem to happen in Windowed mode.

Flawless Widescreen application has a UI fix. Google it for further information.
Have you tried it personally? I was going to try it but then saw there was people having issues with the game crashing after 30-45 minutes so I decided not to use it.
edit: tried FWS and either I have it setup wrong (manual to 5760×1080 and HUD set to 1920×1080) and the chat frame and party frames are still stuck on the far left display.
edit 2: nope messed around with some settings and they are affecting the game’s HUD, however the chat frame remains unchanged.

Posting from work, will get screenshots when I get home if needed, but I imagine this is a documented issue already as it’s existed since Beta. When using nVidia surround at 5760×1080 the Chat and Party frames are clamped to the far left on the left screen and can only be manipulated vertically by swapping positions, instead of them being clamped to the left side of the primary/center display like the MiniMap is. It does this in both Windowed and Fullscreen modes.
Also in Cutscenes while in Surround the characters are stretched horizontally and are not within the cutscene frame, but span between the displays left/center and center/right and the Cutscene background is squished a bit on the center display.
Character selection is similar in fullscreen mode, with the character’s model being stretched horizontally almost taking up the entire center display. In windowed mode it is not stretched, though the character is zoomed in to the point where only their midsection is visible.
I don’t know if anyone has experienced this as well or knows of any workarounds for it other than disabling Surround entirely and playing on a single display. Outside of these 3 issues surround seems to work just fine in normal gameplay.
