Revealed just needs to be removed. There is no actual reason for it other than to balance the class.

OP states success at 1vX, then complains that 2s of revealed messes with him being able to 1vX. Guess what. You’re not supposed to be able to 1vX, so long as all players are of equal skill.
I truly hope this doesn’t get fixed, and this revealed after not-attacking stays. And I pretty much only play thief, all builds.

Thieves are still able to win some fights. This is obviously a bug and needs to be fixed.

I hope this revealed thing is permanent. If its just a bug, I hope they turn it into a balancing change. (Except for the shadow refuge, that should probably get fixed asap!)
And its 4sec of stealth to clear 3 condis, not 3sec.

playing mesmer at the moment and seeing people suffering the same thing i do when they see me, pop stealth blink and precede to watch them attack every clone i have summoned wasting skills or stand there trying to target me only to have me drop out and waste a skill on a clone or start fighting the ranger pet attacking them.
This never happens except for the bottom tier of players…
The average PvPer can figure it out it under a second.
Unless they’re killing the clones on purpose to prevent shatter/dps…

Work on your zen! I view fighting premades as a challenge! Try to have fun even if you lose, sure winning is more fun, but it’s still a video game, if you’re not having fun even when you lose you should give this mode a little break for a bit!

1) I want to play with between 1 and 4 friends of varying competence, just for fun, but don’t want to ruin my ranked rating.
2) Refer to 1, as creating anything “solo” only will force me and my 1 to 4 friends to wait in a queue that would probably last longer than 4 full matches combined.

If you think nerfs/buffs are influenced mainly by people on the forums then you are mistaken. The players discussing topics on the forums is only a small fraction compared to what else is taken into consideration before balancing.

If we are to get rifles and possibly be a sniper then I could see the our F1 steal being turned into a Mark Target skill, once a target it marked it can still be seen even while stealthed, target also receives 10 stacks of vunerability. Something like that.

If you’re talking about during the minute and a half of waiting before a battle begins, then that’s just someone who is already on your team who decided to exit the game to character select, then log in on a different character. This is usually done because they decide that other character would bring more to their matched team.
If this is happening during an actual match, after the “waiting for players” has ended and the match has begun…..then I have no idea, as it shouldn’t happen.

Thieves do not have that luxury, and adding a chill effect would not contribute to balance what-so-ever.

You thieves always ask for compensation, even if its blatantly unfair.

Seriously? Lets say a Guardian is chilled, then uses all his primary weaponskills. They all get increased cooldowns, great. Now the Guardian swaps to his secondary weapon set – oh look! – they have another bar of skills they can use!
Do you understand now? No?
A Thief uses all of his initiative on 5 skills (using the weakest, least costly skills), then swaps to his secondary. Whaaaaaaat!? You mean he can’t immediately use those secondary skills, because he’s still waiting for initiative regen? Tha’s ignant.

Yeah this doesn’t happen. The only someone responds negatively towards innocent requests like “Regroup in base” is when its followed by some not-so-innocent words, like “Regroup in base you idiots” Now, you wouldn’t happen to have done something like that, would you have?

Anet is not forcing anyone into any matches. The WvW system was designed to do exactly what it has already done. And you knew that if you read anything about WvW. This system has been broadcasted publicly since before the game even came out. People are fighting the same servers because those servers have won/lost the same amount of weeks, creating the most balanced matchups according to server scores.
All you seem to be doing is complaining about it, as no one has offered any feasible way to change the system. Proposing changes that balance around population alone is terrible. Proposing changes around only giving points at certain days or times, again, terrible. The system is fine, and people will continue to complain just for the sake of complaining.
If a server loses a bunch of people, then their scores and ratings will probably erode due to being outnumbered and out-covered. This is fine. This will cause that server to drop into another tier, and another server that gained more people will rise up to take its place among the “populated” servers. How is this such a hard concept?

When I first started in WvW a few months ago I had no guild, and the npc’s that tell you what to do are less than informative. So I just spent points pretty poorly, not really knowing what would help me out the most later on. Now, at rank 150, it may not seem like I even have many points to spend, but boy would I like to take the 50% completion of defense against guards and apply that to the 50% completion of Guard killer…

and if I wanted to support my group, I wouldn’t be playing my Necro, I’d be playing my Guardian or Elementalist.
And as long as this is the case, Necro will not be wanted in dungeons.
What dungeon runners even care what profession joins up? I’ve yet to see a single lfg complain about any profession that joined. Whatever elitist mentality these players (you claim to refuse Necros) have isn’t a healthy one that promotes the fun nature of games like this. “We must run this dungeon 15.2 seconds faster than the last time.”
Ok no, that’s not the overwhelming majority of players definition of fun.

What’s your definition of support?
I notice you play a thief and are able to support your party via stealth fields, interrupts, projectile defense and blinds. Would asking for something along those lines really be too much for you?

I don’t think Jrunyun is using only P/D. He’s probably doing D/P as the other set, and that sounds like it would work out pretty ok.

When people trash talk the best thing you can do is just reply with “ok” to everything they say. I learned this from a guildmate and it works wonders.

Cause I don’t think they did, and I’m hearing a lot of people complain because of lack of group support for necro and its elite spec. Apparently just not being designed to be a support class – is off the table for some people. I love the elite spec, don’t care if it doesn’t bring group support, and if I wanted to support my group, I wouldn’t be playing my Necro, I’d be playing my Guardian or Elementalist.
Elite specs aren’t catered to the small minority that is the forum-speakers, nor were they ever supposed to give every profession access to every role. Just enjoy the breath of fresh air that are these changes, and again, if you’re so gung-ho on being a group-support player, then why are you playing Necromancer?

The dagger will still have its uses to people who value attack speed over the potential to be counter-played by blinds and people dodging your probably very-pronounced GS attacks. I’m not very good at looking out for counter-play on my necromancer, so I would probably fare better still using dagger, considering it probably isn’t as big of a deal to miss a dagger attack than a GS attack.
