You are kittening kidding right? Look at the party composition, I don’t want to be forced to come up with a party like that because of tons-of-hp/regen-and-no-strategy boss.
I see parties being forced back into holy trinity, even more noticeable at Fractals now.
Precursors’ prices fell too quickly and raised to quickly, TP is NOT viable again fyi.
MF had no effect as some people already mentioned.
Drop rates increased, but still it’s all about RNG, and RNG has NOTHING to do with “being legendary”, that sounds pretty nosense to me.
I agree that it should have to do with achievements or something of the like, achievements are awesome and all but could play a more important role.
I wished that the game would see that [Gift of The Bifrost] in my bag and be responsive to that increasing drop rates, I’m only missing the precursor and it’s by far the most frustrating thing. (PS.: I did not rush getting the legendary, I just finished the requirements in these 3 months, but it just feels as a dead-end).

I play a critical ele and I don’t miss Evasive Arcana, I never used it before and Arcane Wave does fine, having a blast AoE heal sometimes is really awesome to help yourself and your party.
If only we could have “upgraded” version of skills (PvE only), or some elite charge like pulling all meteor balls to the same spot! /wake-up
So, how did staff eles use to be? I really like ranged caster class, I’ve always accepted long cooldown as long as the spells would hit like hell, but it seems that it’s too hard to have Meteor Shower hit decently, or what am I missing?
The Healing Rain heals for nothing if not spec’d correctly (Water Magic), and it only lasts a few seconds? The effect is pretty and all, but it doesn’t seem like “healing”, or is the intent to stack regen 3 times and remove conditions? Is that enough if I roll a healing support build?
I’m just curious about what I can do as a staff elementalist.
Ok so the lab is such a nice place, but there could be effects added to it the farther the party goes, like appearing some red clouds or some gadgetry mal-functioning due to many time travels.)

It’s only a fiasco to some players who intend to over-dramatise their contempt with any form of vertical progression.

Agree. Please be patient, they’re not abandoning other aspects of the game because of the fractals, these new dungeons are an addition, not a replacement, and if it becomes so they’ll figure out a way to make “old” dungeons more attractive.

For all the people who are complaining “GW2 is going against their word! NO! YOU CANT DO THIS??!! You are creating the gear grind you promised wouldn’t happennnn!!!!” Please think before you speak. It isn’t hard to obtain any gear including Exotics (apart from Legendaries which are only better cosmetically). It isn’t a gear grind. It’s just a twist to the game to make dungeons more exciting and add difficulty due to the “scaling to how you play” not the gear. The game STILL isn’t gear based, just skill based. . .
That is the point, Ascended Gear will only make such a great effect the further you go into the fractals dungeons, increasing the difficult. Casuals shouldn’t REALLY be bothered by this, I just can’t get what is going in.
Linsey’s post wasn’t really clarifying, but there might be a reason for that, I don’t really regret spending $60.00 in this game so far, many others had stupid content and they were sucking all the cash out of players.
And for people who also complains about end-game, ANet stated long ago they prefer creating high quality content instead of boring and stupid content just to hold people playing the game.
I’m losing faith in the community little by little…
Stop whining for God’s sake, they just gave us some hints not the full system and people are QQing like hell. Just, wait, if it doesn’t work out I’m sure ANet will do something about it, can you just give it a shot before nerd-raging?

I wouldnt be too hopeful about changes to precursor drops. Just look at Anet history. People cried about bltc chests during halloween. they just added more gambling with a random mystic forge recipe.
And I honestly found it fair.
But seriously, spending $1000 for a skin? I’m sure ANet don’t intend in making people spend that much money for legendaries, if a lot of people buy some cheap cosmetic stuff then that’s the way to go. The Gem→Gold is the worst thing ever.

YES, DO CHANGE the way you can get precursors, DO NOT make them gold-based, it don’t matter if it’ll take 1-year long.

For God’s sake, you’ve started without it, let it be that way with only waypoints, mounts are not necessary, and they clutter the area, it’s just crap idea… instead, it would be better to improve minis system, a nicer interface to handle them would be a nice way (hate having to activate them everytime and how they have to be in the bag, there should be a separate panel/inventory).

Yeah I thought about buying t3 cultural as it seems the best one, and it’s not a dress, but I’d like to see a sylvari wearing it in-game with white/purple colors.
So yeah I have a female sylvari elementalist, I chose a light color for her skin and a short dark hair, it matched perfectly!
The problem is that light armor don’t look good on her, I tried all human ones but they do not look really good as sylvari females don’t have curvy bodies like norn or human, I feel it’s particularly important for them to wear leafy clothes as there are really few in this game. I crafted a lvl80 exotic exalted armor and it really looked good, it’s not like dress or too few clothes, it’s just perfect, but it would be much better if there was a leafy version of that exotic gear…
Right now I have the dress from TA because it’s leafy and I don’t like wearing human clothes, I’ve tried TA’s medium gear and guess what? it felt WAAAAY better than anything I’ve ever tried, and I just can’t transmute because it’s medium armor…
Bottom line is, I’m a light-skinned sylvari, I am going for The Bifrost and I’d like a leafy gear dyed in white/purple-ish to make everything match well, but I seem to fail to find a good combination, any ideas?
Adding my agreement to the horridness of this event. Not only is this event bugged A LOT, it is also really difficult to do. The last escort to the temple is ridiculous. I’ve seen the mobs spawn and just nuke the npcs killing them all instantly causing failure. Or just killing a few, chipping away at the Pact Morale bar, which for some reason never goes back up, again causing failure.
If by chance you are lucky enough to round up a big enough zerg to get past the escort, well I’ve seen the boss destroy a group of 30+ players. Ugh. OH and there’s a timer on the event to defeat him WTF.I heard that a smart necromancer can reflect back the AOE debuff that Balthazar gives to kill players instantly to kill Bal instantly too. Haven’t found a necro to do it though. Hope that helps somebody.
Man, I haven’t thought of that! It may be the signet that the necro sends their conditions to the target.

Yeah, I’m still looking for one uncontested temple. Tried Balthazar with a group of 40 people and it failed, maybe we need zerg of 100 people…
Another thing I saw in Citadel of Flames that’d be nice to implement is those circles that you have to stand within in order to progress taking some objective (like claiming a land in WvW), maybe events should have it and require more people to stay in differently-located circles while others would be busy doing other things, multiple requirements for the event to progress and rapid response so that players must be aware of what’s going on.
One problem I saw is that when an event is zerged I cannot see projectiles coming out of the boss, eg. Temple of Balthazar, that guy simple 1-shots with any attack, it’s even boring to die everytime, if close enough he sucks your life to death, if too ranged he throw 1-shot fireballs, he spams wells of death that 2-hit kills you, he fears constantly and teleports, that’s mostly requiring people to spam damage on him, no area coordination, which is, in my opinion, the greatest thing an event should have, not only because there are 60 players doing it, make it scale elegantly and you’ll have a kitten cool event!
Since it reseted, I’m still looking for an uncontested Balthazar, tipping gold for it!

This is getting extremely disturbing, I DON’T care if this temple is uncontested in server X or Y, it was meant to work, simple like that, but it DOESN’T. I don’t know how one invasion team impact the others or how they work to take Temple of Balthazar, but I’m SURE that, once the assault to the altar is triggered, the team shouldn’t stop along the way.
Taking the pact to the altar happens TOO rarely in Sanctum of Rall without bugging, holding the temple even rarer, it’s blocking my progress, do fix it FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Please tell me, how is one supposed to actually kill that thing?
First you have to lure sparks into shining fields, but they’re ranged and the field detection is awful, they keep attacking you from distance and don’t enter the field properly. The boss regain the very same amount of life everytime she hides, she should regain less the more time she hides because at a constant rate there’ll never be a way to kill her, when we finally get the sparks inside the shining fields she’ll be already with full HP.
Please, devs, is this intentional? We’ve all rolled burst DPS but it’s impossible, petrifying slows down any DPS, we can’t manage to kill her because everything in this boss is horrible; I really hope something is bugged: field detection so that when sparks enter the field, they get locked, instead of making them walk a million times before getting locked or her life regeneration that is stupid high no matter what.
I was with Pallar, this is very frustrating, the dungeon took very long (4h+) and we got… nothing. I hope we get our shards or at least a chance to continue from there, it was a very hard path and so much time wasted for nothing.
