Even if Arena Net is working on an expansion, I highly doubt we’ll heading back to Cantha or Elona, because, you know, Guild Wars 2 takes everything we loved about Guild Wars 1 and throws it out of the window.

Except that it took us back to glint’s lair and a lot of people loved it.

Maybe you aren’t playing the same game I am.

It’s never going to happen. For one thing, a lot of us would leave the game if they made that change. If I wanted to play an FPS I’d play an FPS.

Maybe the new race wouldn’t have the personal story in the same way. It could have something completely different.

The airship pass’s introduction right after LA destruction must’ve been a coincidence then, is what I am to take away from this I guess.

What is the difference is something themed to an event is introduced during an event for the time of the event. It’s completely irrelevant if the thing isn’t required to play and, guess what? It’s not required to play.

It’s convenient and probably not worth the money which makes it okay but most people’s standards.

I haven’t seen anyone else suggest that Anet shouldn’t put topical stuff in the cash shop.

I have 11 ambrite weapons and 4 legendaries. Trust me, legendaries are far far more expensive. lol

The only thing I wouldn’t mind them adding is the rainbow phoenix. Anything else is just going to bother people who didn’t play Guild Wars 1.

The intention of the rewards was to throw us a bone, since we weren’t getting an expansion, but an entirely different game.

It wasn’t supposed to be continuously rewarding once Guild Wars 2 came out.

Right the deal is so bad it’s not worth buying. Does that sound smart to you? Do you think they sell tons of them? To whom?

Probably the same people who click on the 100 € option in the gem store purchase menu. Obviously people are blowing wads of money on important things like different coloured cats. Presumably these items are selling or they’d be replaced with something that does.

The whole idea of a business is to make money. Anet has done a pretty fair job of making money without making the game pay to win.

There have been a few questionable things, but it’s better than most cash shops I’ve seen except perhaps those for subscription MMOs….and today, even subscription MMOs have cash shops.

I think they’ve done a fantastic job of keeping it from being P2W. Especially after my short foray into AA, I’ve found ANet’s solution much more palatable. Some of their cosmetic offerings do tickle even my buying bone, and I’m not easily enticed.

That said, I do think it is too transparent. Like when they destroyed LA, which was a banking/crafting/trading hub, and instantly put up an expensive temporary item on the gem store which allowed easy access to the very amenities that the LA destruction – surprise surprise – removed. It felt to me like the paper-thin story was the vehicle for the real content which was the gem store promotion.

It is a subscription model, just of a different kind. If I couldn’t convert gems into gold, I would rarely buy them at all.

See I don’t understand this complaint at all. During the event, I got 2 week passes. I still have some left. People could use this for free just by playing without even worrying about it.

Is it convenient. Sure. So is harvesting without having to buy harvesting tools. But it’s not really “worth it”.

That’s the whole point here. Anet could have made it so you had to have infinite gathering tools to play the game. Do you really think that having to port somewhere to do something is worth the cost of an infinite pass to most people? I don’t.

It’s obvious that Anet created a convenience item that could have been a whole lot greedier. Most of those type of items in this game are luxury items. People are willing to pay for luxury.

What’s obvious is they want to sell something in the cash shop, so the bring the stuff out. But considering I had dozens of 2 week passes for the airship that I got for free from playing the game, I’m not even sure what your complaint is here.

Obviously I wouldn’t have to buy that pass for another year, because of all the temporary passes I had that I got for free.

An activity is generally the daily random PvP-like mini-game that you find during festivals. There’s an NPC on the mystic plaza that has one that changes per day, as well as things like Bell choirs, winter wonderland jumping puzzle toypocalypse and snowball arena, currently going on with wintersday.

The daily rotation ones are:
Kegbrawl, southsun survival, crabtoss and zephyr sprint (I think)

I kind of knew that. Thx for the explanation.

What can I do with the hundred or so Box o’ funs I have and the toys from some outfits, like broomstick and such.

We use boxes of fun to mark stuff during guild events. Like if there’s a short cut in a guild rush we’ll drop a box of fun to mark it for people coming through.

And for a completely unrelated point: Why the dishonesty in their labelling? Daily crafter? Not a PvE achievement. Daily Mystic Forger? Not a PvE achievement. Daily Activity Participation? Not a PvE achievement. Why are those 3 in that category?

where else would they put these? They arent WvW or PvP. You dont find an activity person in either. Crafting/mystic forge doesnt benefit WvW and are not present in HOTM.

as an aside, all of those are fairly easy to do (activity will take the longest though)

Crafting is a PvE activity. I’m not sure how you think it’s not. Mystic forge the same thing.

As for activities, you don’t even have to do them you just have to enter them. You can enter them, stand there and get credit.

Of all the complaints I’ve seen, this one has the least traction.

The whole point of the taxes is to create another gold sink in the game in order to sell gems.

So yeah I wouldn’t hold my breath with regards to any fantasies about player bazaars.

Every game has gold sinks. Every good game anyway. Every single one.

Not every game sells gems.

/conspiracy theory

It’s hardly a conspiracy if it’s right in your face at every turn.

I can’t even remove runes from armor without a gem store item which makes it pointless to do so as the cost of the item is higher than the worth of the runes. The only option is to salvage (unless you put it on karma gear in which case you’re kittened) or overwrite. The new system even eradicated the use of transmutation. Don’t bother telling me this was to enhance player experience.

Right the deal is so bad it’s not worth buying. Does that sound smart to you? Do you think they sell tons of them? To whom?

Am I the only one finding the negative responses to this thread ironic and telling at the same time?

Yeah, I was thinking that while reading this thread. It’s almost like some of them feel threatened in some way.

People are defending their right to be kittens. Nothing to see here.

There’s a saying: “I do not agree with what you’re saying, but I will fight for your right to say it”. Tolerance is a cornerstone of freedom. People complaining and using tired old arguments may be exhausting, but it should be tolerated.

Tolerance isn’t really the cornerstone of freedom. People tolerate all sorts of stuff when they’re not free. It’s when you stop tolerating oppression that you become free.

The quote is a Voltaire quote by the way. “I may not agree with the words you say but I”ll defend with my life your right to say them."

I’m not sure that he was talking about abuse, however. I don’t think he’d defend a man’s right to verbally abuse a woman with his life.

Sometimes, context is everything.

Over all, the new changes has been mostly negatively received. New player experience, got a lot of negative feedback. The new trait system is simply put, awful. The new daily and monthly system is lackluster and provides less choice then before.

I’m really not understanding what anet is thinking with these choices. They say they want to provide more choice and options but the changes do the opposite and limit choices and options.

Seems to me there’s been as much support for the new dailies as complaints. Maybe more. If you actually tally by name the individuals for and against, you wouldn’t make this claim about the new dailies.

But you probably would about the Trait system.

Even the NPE many who complained have changed their minds after the first set of adjustments.

It would mean, at worst, you’d have to spend an extra six days maxing your dailies. What’s the difference if you do it now, or at the end?

Not much of a difference for myself since I’m just reaching cap, but for those who had it for months, kinda got shafted a bit.

I don’t think so. This is all really long term goal stuff. If they’ve had it for months, they simply have to wait one single month (assuming the raise in the cap comes on the 13th). They’re losing one month. That is to say they will cap their 15,000 at 1 month past what they would have.

Considering how many years it takes, it’s hardly being shafted.

More to the point, there are other rewards for doing dailies now that they never would have gotten before, in addition to the achievement points. No one is shafted by creating an exotic for free and getting 3 ectos. lol

Vayne, it depends on how important the failures are. At the end of the day, that’s a personal judgement call. For me, the things they haven’t delivered drastically outweigh their successes.

It would be nice if their communication didn’t treat their customers like mushrooms. (For those who don’t know, that’s kept in the dark and fed on bull droppings).

I agree with the communication thing. I believe that Anet should communicate even stuff they’re working on that that’s not sure about.

But I don’t think the failures are as bad as people make them out to be. The NPE is all but a non-issue. The biggest issue I can see that really affects the game are traits. Everything else that was implemented is fine. Oh and the story not making sense due to the NPE.

But the personal story and the trait system is two things out of myriad things. I guess if you really don’t like the living story, you’d certainly have something to complain about, but I don’t think most people dislike the living story.

At the end of the day, all any MMO really becomes after you’ve beaten the content, is a list of things to do. I can find things to do, and I enjoy doing them. So I like the game. I think there are enough people who like as it stands to justify the game’s existence.

Changing the game to what other people like, could well alienate people who like it now. The trait system sort of did that for me. It took away part of my game.

But there’s still enough left that I’m enjoying that I just switched my priorities.

I don’t think the PvE dailies are getting people to do what I believe ANet wants people to do, use the daily as an incentive to go to maps you don’t usually go to and spend time there. When vista is up, instead of doing mapping and getting a vista, people go to the appropriate city and get it. If it’s harvesting, the lucky ones will get what they can from the home instance and get the final node in the nearest map. The rest make a quick run thru the map and leave. Events are racing from one to another to get credit, then leaving once the award dings. I can’t see how this is what ANet wanted. The new daily motivates people to treat it like a list to be checked off. Playing by someone else’s list is not fun. At least with the old system you could just play, for fun, and get some of them done if not all.

This isn’t that different from how people did the old system, aside from complaining about how it was forced due to needing to have them to get their Laurels and AP. Now the only legitimate complaint about having something held away and needing to do the dailies . . . is for AP.

Also of note, some people have posted in this thread or others about how they did treat the Daily list as a list of things to get done.. (Myself, I used/use it sometimes as a guideline for ‘what do I want to do today’) . . .

This leads me to the conclusion the Dailies never worked as people seem to think they were supposed to, short of one particular way – getting people to at least log in daily even if it’s to look at the list and nope away from them.

I used to be able to make my own decisions how to fit the daily into my routine. Go to Silverwastes and get events, dodge, harvest for example while grinding for badges. Or maybe hit the champs in Frostgorge for events while getting rez and dodge in that map or perhaps I’ll wander by Orr today and get my dailies while I play there.

It’s kind of a subtle point maybe but instead of being told what I can do to get rewarded, I’m told what and where. Being able to play as you want where you want and get rewarded is better than being told where to play to get rewarded.

This is completely valid and it’s true as long as your goal was just the daily.

If your goal was 10 points (like you get today) then it’s no longer true, since in the old dailies to get those 10 points I’d have to go further out of my way and take much longer.

I just want to point out to those saying you miss NOTHING but AP if you don’t do the dailies, that you are incorrect. Because, with AP, you get achievement chests, which contain, off and on, unique skins, badges of honor, laurels, account wide boosts to XP, coin, and MF, WvW blueprints, gold, gems, etc. So please, just stop saying people are not losing out on anything if they forego the dailies. They miss out a lot by missing the AP, which is why many are upset that instead of being able to get 5 AP doing what we want, we are “forced” to do things that are tedious/take us out of our preferred play time, in order to get the same rewards we USED TO get. The only thing now is, you could skip every other day and end up at the same place. However, given the amount of casual players here, I’m sure many can understand the problems the new daily system present.

Which means your issue is one of how fast you get those chests. It’s not like there aren’t other sources of AP.

Also because of the cap on AP over the course of time, you’ll stop getting AP from dailies anyway. How much time depends on how fast you do them, but if you’re around for the long haul, it’ll all get unlocked anyway.

Even if you do the daily every other day, you’ll probably get as many points as you used to get doing it every other day.

OK so basically everything that already existed when the game launched.

Not sure if this reponse was to the OP or me.

No, a lot of the QoL features on my list (including the wardrobe and the wallet) didn’t exist at launch.

But there are quite a few things I’ve liked since launch, they’re just more specific. For example, I love the new jumping puzzle in Silverwastes, and I like the zone itself. I like many of the minigames that have come out. They’re simply not the best thing. There are a lot of things that have been done to this game that make the game better for me, including the NPE.

I had to pick 5, though.

Vayne.8563

Okay my list of things Anet got right. Limiting it to 5 is going to be tough:

1. The beauty of the world. This game is a work of art. There’s nothing I could say to express how beautiful I find the game world.

2. The combination of factors that make PvE less competitive than other games including: no kill stealing, no node stealing, everyone getting credit for kills, everyone getting loot, everyone being able to rez each other without using a skill slot, not having to party to get buffs or heals from people, combo fields and I’m sure there’s more.

3. The small details. There are so many little hidden things in this game, stuff I’d never have thought to look for sometimes. Recently the seagulls have returned to Lion’s Arch. So many little things, from ambient conversations to hidden novelties.

4. QOL features like being able to sell stuff or deposit materials remotely when our inventory is full. The Wardrobe. The account wallet. Now not having to have currency on your character, you can leave it in your bank. The new update to the crafting UI.

5. Jumping puzzles (including SAB). That’s one thing this MMO has that most MMOs don’t. I love the jumping puzzles. They’re a lot of fun for me. Halloween and Obsidian Sanctum are my favorites.

leveling in this game is fast and painless.

Leveling in GW is painless and fast. The same applies to getting BiS.
Leveling in GW2, let alone the BiS, are the polar opposites of ‘fast and painless’.

It’s not constructive, it’s not helpful and since they’re talking about something the new player can’t really understand (not having experienced it), they are simply turning someone off to a game they might thoroughly enjoy.

Neither is stalking every thread and spamming one’s opinion to supposedly ‘counterbalance’ other people’s (negative) opinions.

And yes, fast and painless. People level in under a week. That’s hard to do in most MMOs.

I never said anything about BIS gear, I have no idea why you’d suddenly bring that in and move the goalpost in the conversation.

I’ve never been a proponent of ascended gear.

Cute, but nope.

And nope, its neither fast nor painless. People often don’t even hit max level because the lvling process is so unnecessarily stretched out., let alone lvl up alts.

People don’t? Which people? How many people? Back up your claim?

I know people that have far more than 8 characters. My guild is filled with people leveling new alts all the time. They don’t seem to find it painful.

Of course, my annecdotal evidence is no better than your annecdotal evidence. But there do seem to be plenty of people, even now, leveling new characters.

You wouldn’t know, of course, since you don’t play.

1. The notion that removing the ‘holy trinity’ would make for a fun gaming experience and wouldn’t result in anything other than a stand there and hit ‘1’ DPS zergfest at 10fps.

That specifically is more of a problem with open-world bosses.

The “soft trinity”, however, does have the problem of two of the parts being typically rendered all but pointless in most boss fights. I’m not sure if I’d rate it as being in the top five, but Defiant stacks were certainly among their bigger mistakes IMO (control? what control?). Meanwhile, mechanics in a lot of boss fights basically bypass defensive support altogether, leaving you with offensive support (might stacks and fury) and, well, pure DPS.

NcSoft owned Anet before Guild Wars 1 launched.

NCSoft has a very different culture to what it did back then. Now, I don’t know how much of the conspiracy theories being thrown around I actually believe, but it really isn’t the same company as the company that published GW1 nearly ten years ago in anything but name and IP ownership.

I don’t think anyone can say with authority how NcSoft has changed, unless they work at either Anet or NcSoft. It’s all, not just speculation, but wild speculation.

People are speculating that NcSoft is preventing Anet from talking about their updates. By the same token, NCsoft owns Carbine Studios, which produces Wildstar, and Wildstar devs talk about updates all the time.

It could be Anet that’s changed and not NcSoft. But we’ll never really know.

Still an opinion that does not give a clue to what to be done or how to do it. An opinion made just to make someone angry with that opinion and explain another opinion (in other words, fishing for an argument = Trolling).

You’re choosing to let it make you angry. Stating one left the game over something and doesn’t find ‘x’ fun, is not fishing for an argument anymore than someone saying they love the game and find ‘x’ fun is.

Honestly, this thread could be considered trolling if we want to use your broad definitions….

Trolling implies intent. I think it’s clear this article is the expression of one’s frustration. If people are free to express their frustration with the game, why shouldn’t they be allowed to express this frustration with the forums?

State of the game doesn’t really change year after year, near to nothing is done by anet. The lack of new skills/real maps/new class/races/quests or generally any form of involment by anet stand today and standed 2 years ago.

Lack of real maps? Drytop and SIlverwastes are what? Immitation maps? They’re real maps to a lot of people.

And Quests? New dynamic events certainly exist and even if they didn’t, one could certainly call the living world instances quests…more like quests in the traditional sense of the word than almost anything else in the game. So there are both new quests and new zones.

I agree we don’t have new races or professions, and hardly any skills though.

I understand the logic of screwing over your loyal customers to make a fast buck. But screwing over your loyal customers in a way that will actively cut off a major source of advertisement and product appeal?

It’s short term hit-and-run style business planning. Get in, make as much money off the “suckers” as you can, then close up. I haven’t seen much evidence from anyone at Anet that they have any designs on being around for any length of time.

I hope you come back in five years and admit you’re wrong about that.

I hope I am, but do note that if GW2 is sold off to another company, I will consider that the same as simply shutting down. This entire game is a cash grab orchestrated by NCSoft. The best thing that could happen would be for Anet to be bought out by a company that wants to run an MMO, not a short term high yield investment scheme.

It’s like going into a restaurant and telling perspective customers that the pancakes used to be much better.

So let’s say I was looking for the best local pancake house. An acquaintance recommends Billy’s Pancake Depot saying it has “the best pancakes I’ve ever had”. So I decide to go to Billy’s and upon getting there a patron who is leaving tells me “if you’re here for the pancakes be aware they changed the recipe and it’s nowhere near as good as it was.” I would consider that helpful advice since the only reason I was there was a recommendation based on outdated information. I don’t want to waste money because my info was out of date. I would gladly thank that patron for giving me new information.

Except that it’s still the best pancakes for many people. This isn’t my first rodeo. You can’t tell how much someone will like or not like pancakes.

Maybe the guy tastes the pancakes and they’re the best pancakes in the world to him. But you’re telling him they used to be better. Well no. They used to be better for you. It’s not helpful and it’s not constructive. It’s misguided.

In an attempt to help someone make a decision, naysayers are taking decisions away. People who say the game is dead or dying are doing the same. It’s demonstrably untrue, but people say it anyway.

At the end of the day, saying you don’t like something is different than saying it’s bad or used to be better. And as long as people are phrasing stuff in that kind of negative manner, they’re risking turning someone off from a game they may love.

There are ways to phrase things that aren’t vitriolic outbursts of misinformation.

I hope you come back in five years and admit you’re wrong about that.

I have recently introduced my husband to the game and must say the new dailies are not so friendly for new players. He does not want to have to do pvp or wvw being new to the game in order to do the daily. This leaves very few options especially when the events/gathering daily is in an area on the other side of the map. Most new players won’t have a clue how to get to these areas. It seems OK as an 80 (although more inconvenient than it was before) but for a new player I don’t think it is suitable.

What do you mean on the other side of the map?

The real issue with the trait system is that people asked for horizontal progression, but when they did, I seriously doubt anyone meant taking away functionality we already had and making us obtain it more slowly.

I think that people expected new traits or skills for which there was horizontal progression.

What we got instead was the same food we’ve been eating all along, priced at a much higher price.

Most people wouldn’t mind something new and different in the supermarket that cost more. It’s a treat. It’s special.

But if you raised all the prices on every day commodities, that would kitten people off.

That is so very odd. What I would have considered childish is to engage in constant name calling and the like, not an effort to reduce such behavior. I guess, “you are a big fat meanie,” is not childish but, “hey guys lets try to avoid name calling,” is ?

This post definitely wasn’t a “hey guys lets try to avoid name calling”. It was a “I make this pledge! Come, everyone, follow me on an adventure to not use these terms and use other, equally-insulting terms instead!”

Afraid that I must respectfully disagree. The OP sugested that others add to the list negating concerns that originally listed slurs are meant to be replaced by others, states that the intention was to make the forum a more positive place ( as he has voiced negative opinions about the state of aspects of the game it seems pretty clear that he is referring to how posters treat each other and not that only positive opinions should be voiced), and requests that players engage in self moderation.

None of that is childish jn my opinion.

It is, and you know why? People will never self-moderate. That is a foolish thing to believe. If that were the case, then we wouldn’t have a need for moderators. People will always have biases and stances, some immutable. People express their concerns and distaste, and so do others react to those distastes…distastefully. It’s natural and normal, and WILL happen.

Optimism is not childish and people self-moderate all the time. Some people won’t, and some people will.

I might be a unique case and i haven’t left the game, i just play a lot less. But, i do come here to offer up feedback (good or bad), because i have a good deal invested in the game, not only in time or gem purchases.

I can’t imagine you’re the type of poster the OP is talking about. I may not agree with some of what you say, but your posts are well-considered, constructive and intelligent.

You are NOT the problem.

It’s the people who really don’t have anything to say, except sling mud that are.

Actually, it does help – even if not in a direct manner.
It causes a.net to lose money from selling a copy of the game and some gem purchases, which is all that matters (“how to post positive feedback” that will be ignored, is obviously not the way to go), thus steering them in the right direction. Why? Because there are people who a: paid for the game and would like to actually enjoy it (crazy, I know) and b: they care for the universe that was created and don’t want to see it go down the drain.

Plus, as this is an mmorpg, traits and skill are actually a part of the gameplay, so warning players they may not get what they paid for is just a friendly advice.

Except players who never played the game would just take it at face value. Nothing to do with anything else.

Coming from almost any other MMO, leveling in this game is fast and painless. The trait changes to heinous to some of us wouldn’t affect someone who doesn’t know the old system the same.

It’s like going into a restaurant and telling perspective customers that the pancakes used to be much better.

It’s not constructive, it’s not helpful and since they’re talking about something the new player can’t really understand (not having experienced it), they are simply turning someone off to a game they might thoroughly enjoy.

I can think of one person in particular (who I won’t name obviously) who claims to no longer play than game and hasn’t played in a long, long time. All this person does is make snide, unproductive one line remarks, or agrees with someone who has done the same. They make judgment on content they’ve never experienced.

This behavior is pretty obviously there just to get a rise out of people (and this person admitted to me that’s exactly what they enjoy).

All you can really do is ignore them and move on. I should certainly ignore more of them than I do.

ANET, I’D HATE TO SAY IT IN CHAT BUT YOU DONE f&#@$*% UP HERE!

JUST TERRIBLE. First gem currency exchange and now THIS…. THIS…. THIIIIIISSSSSS…. I can’t stop cringing!!!!

This is an mmo, WE SHOULDN’T BE FORCED INTO PVP!!!! I know the game is called Guild Wars but the KEYWORD HERE IS “GUILD” Not player wars!

~_~¯*~~MONTHLY ACHIEVEMENTS~~¯~_~*

The only great way to keep myself preoccupied while I played. They are gone now! Who thought this was a great idea? Aren’t companies supposed to add features and NOT take them away. They are constantly taking features away while adding nothing in return. The terrible part is they don’t even communicate with the community EVER and STILL haven’t balanced rangers or any of the other classes.

You’re not forced into PVP. You can get max AP rewards without setting foot in PVP. The only extra rewards you get from doing the PVP dailies are specific to PVP, so they’re irrelevant if you don’t want to go in there. You’re no more forced to go into PVP as you were before. In fact, you’re less forced into PVP because you can get 10 AP without setting foot in PVP now. Before, you had to either do the PVP dailies or WVW dailies in order to get the same amount.

And the rewards from monthlies were rolled into the daily login, so they did give something back. In fact, better rewards were rolled into the daily login.

You should probably understand the system before complaining about it. I’d suggest reading their blog post on it, as it’s quite informative.

In some cases you’re forced either to do wvw or PVP because they pick very specific zones and bosses. Sometimes, if they’re a low level player with no level 80’s on their account, 1-2 of the PVE objectives will be overleveled for them. They might get something like daily Golem MKII and daily Malachor’s Leap Event Completion (which I believe actually happened yesterday or the day before?) … if they’re level 40… it’s not likely they can complete dailies through PVE then.

Nope this isn’t true. Low level accounts get different dailies than accounts with 80s. The daily is based on the highest level character on your account.

So the says that we have Orr gatherer, you might have maguuma gatherer instead. You always get level appropriate PvE dailies.

I am getting tired of all inactive players who throws filth on these forums…

Not sure how you know these players are inactive. The minute we start saying one person’s opinion is genuine and the other person’s opinion is trolling is where we get into trouble. We just have to deal with it.

Always write your opinion, positive or negative, with a smile on your face and a smile in your heart.

People do say they haven’t played for six months or a year. Most would consider that inactive.

Still, I’m not against those people posting. I think everyone has the right to express their opinions.

I’d like them to express them without all the hyperbole and vitriol, but that’s just me.

This is unbelievably childish. You think because you post your ‘pledge’ people will suddenly follow you, like some sort of kindergarten teacher with the little knobs?

Sorry, but you should put some shrimp on your barbie.

Childish to state a position and encourage people to follow it? I could see someone saying it’s condescending (which I don’t believe) but childish?

Maybe you’re just too sensitive.

You can also exit Lion’s Arch to the south into Bloodtide Coast. It also is part of Kryta and there’s usually at least 3 or 4 trees right outside the portal. EXTREMELY easy. XD

EDIT: If WvW Big Spender was up, you could probably get it done in 5 mins.

Actually, south was what I meant, not north. Thanks for that. I should know better than to post when I’m this sleepy. lol

I think what the OP is referring to with the ascended crafting is the time-gated refinement such as Lump of Mithrillium, Glob of Elder Spirit Residue, etc.

Mithril and elder wood comes easily and I find that having a stock of the refined materials is never a bad thing

Yep even if you don’t use it, it’s profitable to sell.
