you guys should totally change ride the lightning to a 20 second cooldown! none of that 40 seconds if you miss nonsense
How about 16 seconds, like it was in the good old days? This would make people a lot more happy than moving traits around the tree for the sake of “build variety”.
It was 15 secs during the old days….
16 secs is the nerfed 20 secs CD with the trait to reduce it. (20% from 20s is 4s = 16s CD)
I remember RTL being a 12sec CD skill at first.
Its a blast >.> but its an horrible skill.
if you are in the midst of 5 targets with an ele you are possibly already dead…
If not You risk your target to block, being invul etc.Its basically giving up a heal in Exchange for another blast finisher.

Arcane Brilliance is a ground targeted skill with a 1200 range. No need to run into the middle of the fight to use it.

This is the cause i log in rarely now, eles are not that fun anymore and i can’t play other classes, even though they feel superior to us.
I don’t hold my breath for this tuesday, every time i wait for something good i get dissapointed in the end. Let’s wait and see..

Plus we see other classes getting buffs after buffs, and what we get?? Buffs to conjures. thats it.
How it was supposed to work(or i would like to): Lingering elements, getting out of an attunement, gives you a 5 sec window to get back to that attunement before going into cooldown.
Again we get the least needed skill.
A mage class that needs to go into melee range to actually heal good ammount.
Still i dont see this as a useful skill, you can remove the damage and increase the heal amount, that would be better.
Well thanks for the blast i guess, but still horrible why we need to get into melee range??

but i guess this is long away. we only got 1 new universal heal, and 1 more per class, even if they are actually new skills they are not what i was expecting :/

Faster projectiles and #1 would fix many many things, we lack dmg at #1 skills so why not be able to atk faster??? we dont even have more effects like other classes (you know slash-slash-epic slash,etc.)
And don’t start the “we have 20 skills”, thats bullkittens, when most of them are not even worth using them.
I am not, playing asura from the release, but never before tried this armor combo >< .

The fractal is fine. It does not need to be split up. People who know what they’re doing can beat it in about 30 minutes on average.

21-30: 1.5g
31-40: 2g
41-50: 2.5g
there fixed the rewards! and actually worth it to go at higher levels to get more gold at the end.

The legendary at the beginning of the cliff-side fractal is even worse. Why does that guy exist? The fractal is long enough already, why do we need to stall for 5 minutes on a pointless legendary? Just put the hammer on top of the altar at his feet. The entire thing is just stalls and gimmicks.
It doesn’t take 5 minutes to kill him.
it takes more for a pug actually, not everybody running with a preready zerk group..
Long and boring, something has to be done about it.
Most mechanics can’t even work 95% of the time due to mob respawn times being faster than actually killing them.
An explorable path takes from 10 to 20 minutes average with a pug, dredge fractal takes from 30 to 40 minutes, and this is a part of 1/4 of the whole dungeon, is this ok arenanet??
Yeah i feel exatly the same, can’t dps when running arrounds, most projectiles dont even hit the targets then.
not to mention we die very very fast, even though i have 2700 tough, and 17k hp, this is getting annoying, dmg numbers can’t get higher than 2k dmg with critdmg +90%.
No our class is ok i guess, /sarcasm

Well if they can give new zones, new skills, new gameplay mechanics, etc. that a level cap increase would give, i see no reason for a lvl cap increase, but most of the time a lvl cap increase gives fresh things for many ppl to do and not get bored.
Imo a progression must always happen, else u get bored soon.

I agree on every point,
i usually play the mage in mmos for the reason they got high dmg/burst (nuker).
Well i know that at gw2 there is no trinity but we sacrifice the defence/health (that happens at other mmos) and we still get awful base dmg on every attack.
What if we have 20 skills per weapon when half of them are at no use most of the time, or deal very low unnoticed dmg.
imo what needs to change is the AA on every weapon/rotation, elementalists have the most useless AA of every other class. (slow projectiles, low damage).
that will fix the class a little.
In Beta, the enemies used to move out of and avoid AoE (as in, they’d skirt around it, not run right through it). Not sure what happened.

now if they could add these mechanics not to every mob, but to hard/group content then yes!
As i would love to see this skill work finally, i dont thing we will ever see it at full power.
I mean it will lead to a mandatory for all ele builds, and they wont do it.
Imagine eles to have the power to throw 4 glyph of storms at once, oh man that would be cool.
Want an OP class in every aspect of the game, play Warrior, simple.
If you want something that needs actually skills to play, then try elementalist or your engineer.

They are not very tanky. They got so much hp because they have no stealth or pets.
They have a few strong defensive traits but the healing is minimal.
If you are using shout heals you sacrifice pretty much everything for healing power.
so elementalist dont have stealth or pets, they dont even deal as much dmg as warriors but they still have 1/3 hp + even less toughness than a warrior.

for 1vs1 and small scale battles scepter and dagger, its what do you prefer better, for larger battles best is staff.

Why do they bother with conjures.
Because now, when u use them everybody rushing to pick them up.
Seriously i haven’t seen anyone for once trying to pick any conjure i use (except greatsword sometimes).
And for the best part, they may be useful then.
How about merging them into one skill (making it elite?), making some tweks if need and having the ability to use all 4 weapons like attunement swap,
how cool that would be??

We’re working on the staff in an effort to make it a stronger support weapon, and we also improved the conjure weapons so that they’re stronger for support. You’ll see improvements to all 4 of the conjure weapons to make them stronger and better for support.We also increased the healing on Water Blast, the radius on Geyser and we reworked
Unsteady Ground to make it function more like line of warding.
Why even bother.
No one is using them, and noone will use them in the future.
Nevertheless good work getting into us for what’s coming, and for once want to hear our voice about balancing
