What would you do with it?
Keep in mind also all the little things such as minipets, home instance nodes, some gadgets, skins or even black lion skins…
some personal completions like maxing all craftings to 500?
Geting a set of non legendary /ascended weapon/armor skins?
you gain mastery points as you “lvl up” with exp. everything in this game gives you exp… when people found a way to “farm” exp its a exploit and should be nerfed and also its a way anet is making us grind….. seriously?
Yes but…im not looking for a pure nomad tanking build, also the 6th rune has a 30s cd :/
The point of precursor crafting wasnt so that you can save money, it was to have a 100% sure way of geting it without to rely on rng from drops or mf.
its also a way where you progress bit by bit in diferent ways.
you either spam farming or dungeons all day every day till you get those 700g for dawn from tp or you spen a few gold here and a few gold there while runing around doing different stuff.
it might cost more gold but youre spending time doing various things instead farming forgold tgat you build up slowly and spend all at once
Wait for raids then
You have a point. Permanent protection gives another 33% reduced dmg for a nice 53% (60% with rune) dmg reduction
guess i just had to look at it in a different way
Tnx
I think wooden potatoes made a video about using a full nomad warrior during triple trouble and even the most deadliest attacks didnt even get him under 20% hp.
im not sure about wyverns but im sure a guardian can pull something off like that as well.
A guardian can also spam constant protection and heal when spaming hammer autoattacks
eddit: spaming hammer autoattacks will give you perma protection but you will have about 35-40% less self healig compared to warrior.
but if you use mace/shield or focus you will have about 0.5% more self healing as well as ocasional protection from shield or 3blocks and blinds from focus
all acording to a build edditor and in both cases only the best traits were used for both cases
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
So i was thinking about making a tall strong “tough” norn character and i made this build for warriors
Besides the stats he gets form gear (and the 24k health), he has numerous stunbreaks, self heals, 1400ish health /3 secs, shield stance, 2 traits that protect him from 2 one shots, 100% chance to rally with vengence, a quick way to get out of a tight spot with whirlwind and rush.
As well as numerous ways to dish out great burst dmg with HB and axe, with 2 ways of getting quickness every 15 seconds.
Now the question is…how tough can a dragon hunter be? Cause i find this warrior to be rigid and rough when it comes to skills and id like to have some more utility and group support that a guardian has.
i made this build for guardians (not a dragon hunter)
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vVAQJASGlsAhehg1QggIOiHqaA8A1LeJiitIPGvYVA-ThCBABdcIA0S5HaKBrU9HAuAAFt/QK6AY4BAsxRAQGNBAA-e
it deals nice dmg, has aoe protection, staff support, reflect, nice self heal (about 900h/3s) and deals quite nice dmg considering the modifyers…
however, i still think warrior surpasses this build with its survivability unless the guardian is under constant protection.
anyone has any “tough” dragon hunter builds out there that offer a bit more to the people around the DH than a berzerker with the build above does with a banner or something?
have i missed something or?
i cant seem to find any revenant background or lore or something that can tell me more about the class and the “people” that are/became revenants in the game
i know ritlock is the first of revenant and i understand how he got there but what about all the random norn, asuras and sylvari using the power of the mist to channel past legends?
While druids will aparently always be the best healer, the revenant has a stance for everything. I had a idea of mace axe mallyx condi with staff ventari and aphotakery stats.
in any case ventari is a good healing spec, its just diferent from the druid or a classic guardian healer..or even a ele water healer.
the key word is different. As you can see it has its good uses in wvw
A lot of the content is available for you since lvl 1 or early lvls. The most fun way to play this game is to remove all your fears and simply explore and run around the world.
Same goes for builds. Having the perfect exotic gear isnt realy that important untill waay later on in the game and having specific skills and traits is only a must in some dungeons, fractals and later raids.
Something about teeth or fangs maybeee?
Well you can also go for elementalist that goes between water and earth/fire for bleeds and burning but considering healing is best on staff it will be hard to put on heavy conditions with staff.
as for revenant sure. He has a stance for any type of playstyle. Ventari/ sstaff with mallyx/mace/axe but i still think druids are best healers
You get points that you can spend on a specific trait line called specializations or on specific skill types.
If you decide you want to learn a new glyph type skill you will start by unlocking the heal skill, after that you will learn the next skill thats in line.
The same goes for traits. You unlock 1minor trait then 3 majors then 1minor and 3 majors again.
make sure you equip the specialization Trait line in order to benefit from them.
generaly speaking here is how all trait line specialization work in all classes
-the pure dps spec (fire magic for ele)
-the critical/condition trait line (air magic, based on crits)
-the defensive spec (earth magic, based with conditions)
-the support/utility/healing spec (water magic)
-the class specific spec that enhances the class mechanics (arcane magic, based on elemental atunements)
generally speaking ele is a complicated class and with its lowest health and armor you need to actively play the class. Lots of moving and elemental attunement switching.
If you want to enhance your leveling (asuming you do it via exploring the world) weapons, utilities gear and traits (in that order) that alow you to kill things faster and get you to places faster are great
Rat farming. Stil profitable but mind numbing boring
-reads your ideas-
Um….well…anyway…the expansion is moreof a feature expansion rather than a traditional expansion.
as for new professions i doupt they wil add any since they decided they will expand existing professions via elite specializations.
Sounds like youd enjoy a ranger.
has nice condi dmg with shortbow and some pets and the new elite druid spec is pretty much he best healer inthe game.
apothecary stats as sugestion
Sounds great
Any berserkers out there that can tell me more about the speci and how it is to play one in he jungle?
I would like to have some feedback regarding the curent roles of professions.
im talking about general stuff, nothing specific like how does reaper do in dungeons or how does a druid do in pvp..
also i would love if people would talk about this from personal experience rather than throwing replies such as “berserker sucks. Reroll. Rev is op. Chrono is boring”
give me your oppinions and a explenation why you think so.
edit:
ive been playing around with the build editor online with the new specializations and while i do understand the elite specializations bring a new/different playstyle to the class i love when they can be combined with the core skills/traits rather than when they are the complete oposite from the core class.
example: dps ranger turned into full heal druid. What am i suposed to do? Have a mix of stats on my gear so i can dps with lb and switch to staff healing?
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
also, some races have different animations when walking with various weapons.
I remember my human holding the GS on his sholder, while my norn simply walks as if it was a single hander
Stats:
With 0might and 25 stacks of bloodlust i have 2800atk, 2860 defense and 24k health.
i also have 33% (53 with fury) crit chanse
Healing and sustain:
With 3 bars of adrenaline i gain about 1400 health each 3 seconds of passive regen
I cleanse 1 condi when entering zerker, also when swapping weapons every 5 seconds
When i break stun i heal for 2500 and gain +1000 toughness for 8 seconds (Outrage,Berserk,Headbutt and defy pain trait)
I gain stability in zerker and also when i break stun
Shield stance (that reflects projectiles and gives me might on block)
Offensive:
I gain 3s of quickness every 12 seconds when entering zerker
I gain gain 4s of quickness every 15 second when i hit something thats under 50%hp
Special:
Beside the obvious high health, high regen, and fairly high toughness im also able to trigger defy pain trait if something tries to one shot me (I end up having 6khp, 8500 hp if stun is broken).
If im sure the next fatal blow is coming, i go zerker and negate the fatal blow and get healed for 5k. (dead or alive trait)
If i manage to get downed i have enough dps to rally via kill.
If not, i go vengeance that has 100% rally chance as well as rally with 25% extra health
I only need Outrage on my utility bar, can use banners or shouts or just a plain signet for extra stats for my other 2 slots.
I went GS for bursty dmg and mobility to rush and whirlwind in and out of danger.
I use shield for shield stance and interupts, axe for dps (tho i personally love how i look when i pair a sword with the shield )
tnx for the reply.
In short, i was comparing the feel of playing revenant with other professions and i said the skills are kinda rigid like warriors (with a few exceptions) and builds feel restrictive since you cant have a bit of this and a bit of that (switch all 5 utility skills instead of 1 or two).
As for me preferring the “jack of all trades” yes, ele and engie would be great ( i plaid all classes before for quite a while (mostly ele, guard, thief, warrior)
But to be honest, im looking into all elite specializations and their ability to combo with other trait lines. I wanna see if the core classes got a new “role” in their kitten nal.
I mean, kinda hard to explain… Its not just the basic dps,condi,control,support/heal skills that i can press and make them more powerfull with stats that im looking for.
Lets take a ranger for example. His “roles” of gameplay can be :
-Ranged dps/condi
-Melee dps/condi
+Beast master
+Spirit supporter with querky healing
+Trapper
And now with his ability to play as a druid he can also be a full on healer/cc/support role.
Another example would be a Necro:
-close dps
-mid range dps
-conditions
+Minion Master
+Vampiric necro
Reapers can become a heavy close range “aoe” dps, as well as minion masters and vampiric healing.
I understand that some roles arent efficient like a pure dps build and stuff like that…. but i still enjoy playing a class with several roles and playstyles that dont rely purely on stats
Havent plaid that much yet,and i didnt go to pvp in order to try out all the skills yet buuut..
It feels like im playing a warrior with some cool utilities that arent as passive as the ones form warrior. Let me explain.
*Weapon skills:
Most weapon skills are similar to warriors as in most of them just deal plain damage.
damage, condition with damage, leap with dmg, whirl with dmg, some cc with dmg.
Most of the time i dont get to place some sort of fields or give buffs to my allies (there are a few exception tho yes i know)
Utility skills:
This obviously depends on what stance you are in considering each stance has its own theme and a set of abilities that you (mostly you) or your allies can benefit from.
The utilities in general become stronger and slightly more complex if combined with traits. However ,even with the ability to switch around stances and weapons ..and traits i felt like i was limited in my playstyle somehow.
If i wanted pure condi i had to take mallyx and its appropriate trait line, if i wanted support i had to take ventari and its trait line. Yes, i can have up to 2 stances and i can combine them how i wish (condi+healing, or condi +dps ,or condi +tanky ect) but it still felt kinda restrictive compared to what im used with other professions.
I guess thats how i feel about a class that lets you play with builds that are kinda premade (can only use 2 premade utility skills that cant be changed and 2 weapon sets that are kinda pushing you towards the stances you are using…
Anyway, those are just my thoughts about the revenant. Ill be looking into other professions elite specializations for now. Till then ill lvl my revenant some more.
If theres something i missed or got wrong please let me know. I wish to learn more about the class.
in order to use specializations you need to equip the specialization trait line.
the first minor trait in the line alowes you to use specialization skills as well as the new weapons.
Enjoy them while it lasts, GW1 servers are shutting down at the release of HoT.
I jest, Congrats.
Only if people overwhelm gw2 servers on hot and make it crash and that somehow impacts gw1 servers to crash as well at the same time (since gw1 is using only a fraction of gw2 servers) then perhaps but only temporarily
mini moa chick is a scavenger hunt thing and not from a bday present. It does give that great satisfying feeling but i dont think you can compare it to a loooong awaited bday present and then the feeling of all 5 gods smiling on you when you get a green one
no..it wasnt a precursor drop, tho geting one would probably feel like it.
I was opening my bday presents in gw1 and i got a mini ventari (purple) a everlasting master of whispers tonic (purple) and a MINI MAD KING THORN (green)!!
Its the first time i get a green pet and the feeling was epic
can we all group up in DR, sit in a circle and play our WH ?
Ministers WP is ok
please make it happen
Well I am currently leveling a Guardian and I am having a blast doing so. I have been using great sword/mace torch. I am currently level 23 and I have been searching and searching for a leveling build and or a open world solo build for pve and I have found nothing at all.
Does anyone have one willing to share or know of a link that is a good guide. Thanks in advance.
As mentioned before, there are numerous ways of leveling now other than exploring the pve world.
But a efficient guardian way of exploring the world more efficiently is using a greadsword and staff. you can group lots of mobs with staff 1, place a ward between you and them, cast symbol of swiftness on them (and your self) while channeling empower.
Then switch to gs, leap for light aura and aoe blindness, SoW and WW. This should make them dead.
The traits are set up in a way that you will be spaming F1 all the time..like…mashing that F1 constantly.
It blinds (applies vulnerability on blind) and grants you a short 3 might as well as retaliation that grants you dmg modifiers . All that is aoe.
here is a link of the build http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vVAQJARWlsAhShY1QwQIwPEHxDVNAag61GC57jmXxXsKA-TRBEABMp8rNdBA8AASU9ntUCCA-e
As for OP.
All classes have the same base stats at lvl 80 except 2.
The base armor (light, medium and heavy) and base health pool.
For example, the numbers are as follows:
Elementalist: 11 645 hp
Mesmer: 15 922 hp
Necromancer: 19 212hp
Warriors have 19 212 hp and guards have 11 645 health at lvl 80 with out any vit on gear.
Guardians can use a GM trait in honor that will grant them +300vit, resoulting in +3k health.
This is why the guardians are equiped with more utility(wards, reflect, condi clense),boons (regen and perma protection) and lots of blocks than a warrior.
PS: i was in TA once with my team on a cleric guardian, i belieave i had mace/focus -staff. and on the final boss of Aether blades path i was the last man standing. I was actually able to kill it alone by protecting my self with blocks, heals, dodges, aegis, and i was slowly able to kill the last 25ish % of his health.
If i was a cleric warrior with mace/sword – Mace/shield im not sure if i could made it back then (maybe now i could with the new traits?)
This title and question and your answear to the question you asked has more than 1 meaning.
This is how i look at the 2 classes:
Both Guardian and Warrior have:
-heavy armor
-regen
-can be bursty and even condy now
-can be tanky
-have lots of condy clenses
Guardian has/can have:
+more utility and boons to offer to himself as well as to the entire party
+more “spamable” aoes (symbols)
+more ways to heal himself and others
+more ways to block, protect himself and others
Warrior has/can have:
+waaay higher health pool than a guardian can (even with the guard trate)
+superior health/second (HS,adrenal health,vigorous shouts)
+superior offensive buffs for himself and everyone around him
+better bursty/sustained dps?
+more imunity to damage/condies
+8s cd for counterblow block (1 attack) and 12 s cd for riposte blocking(1 melle attack OR infinite ranged attacks) as well as 24scd blocks on shields (all attacks).
*Note that you can stand in front of someone with riposte or shield stance and block all projectiles this way
-banner of discipline, strength and empower allies give party wide +320power +170prec,con dmg, ferocity and can be “moved” along with the players.
*Also constant might stacks from Phalanx strength.
*Also 3 signets that grant +180power/prec/tough to self
+Lots of movement skills, leaps,dashes, 25%MSp trait
I probably missed something for someone but lets get back to the question now that we have a small list of things that both can do and what can one do better than the other.
Whos doing solo better in pve?
I assume we are talking just general open world leveling, events and farming (dungeons arent solo….and pve and wvw isnt pve)
when it comes to damage i believe warrior can kill mobs faster, even an elite, as well as a large group of monsters at the same time. The large health/s, health pool, tons of power and fast ways to kill groups of mobs just make him better at current pve
Guardians can tag more mobs at once cause of symbols and staff 1.
They can also burst down elites and groups of enemies but it feels that the rotations are much slower than on warriors.
In case of a tough time, or a time where a guard/warrior has to fall back or heal or is low on health and has to do something about it we have these scenarios:
Guardians will most likely:
+pop all 3 virtues and go into renewed focus and start spamming skills that grant healing/regen and also rely on their virtue of resolve passive to get them back in shape.
+Those main things have great singergy with their traits that grant numerous boons as well as more healing (AH)
+They spend this time healing, but also dmging the enemies around (symbols heal and grant boons as well as deal dmg)
-However during this period they will enter in a new rotation of defense and self healing, and their dps will run low
Warrior will:
+Use his passive regen/high health as well as some traited skills from the start of the fight to sustain himself trough the entire fight, from start till end
+This allows him to focus on damage the entire time
+In case things go very ugly,he can disengage the fight and get back in withing seconds, again because of his superior health/s
-He deals no damage most of the time within those few seconds of disengaging
Another note to look at is the downed state
Guardians will:
+Try to focus on 1 target with lowest health, their skill 1 can hit 3 targets
+Has a “back off all of you” skill to give himself a bit more time untill…
+…He activates signet of judgement. It heals the guardian and also deals nice aoe dmg around him that should kill off a enemy and rally him
+If not it might give him enough health back to bandage himself within seconds
-If that doesnt work….well…its kinda over for him..unless he is able to try that again
Warriors will:
-Throw rocks at the closest enemy (its a physical projectile, cant get pass the big guy to hit the small guy behind it that has low health)
-/Has a 2s knock down, nice to delay his 3rd skill..but also works only on a single closest target
+/Vengeance makes you rally for 15s during which you may use all your normal skills to take down everyone around you. has a 25% (100% traited) to fully rally you when you kill someone.
*Vengeance is like being in a downed state but able to use all of your skills and move around freely.
Now about the actual “gameplay”:
I played both of them for a long time and ill be telling about my exp with them in pve:
Guards:
+Standard bursty rotations with staff to give me swiftness for moving around
+if things get hard i go defensive rotations with healing/boon skills
+if i go down while overwhelmed i mostly go down for good.
Warriors:
+"standard" bursty rotations supported by tons of power ,might and prec
+most of the time it takes longer to get to the “hard times” due to the fact that im constantly healing my self for quite a lot
+if things do get bad i back off, kite and wait till i have enough health to engage again and finish them off
+if i get downed while overwhelmed i still manage to activate vengeance and im mostly able to kill and rezz my self
NOTE:
Warriors are very simple. They deal dmg and buff allies with simple stats. Sometimes they also clense condies and buff their offensive abilities.
Guardians are a hybrid. They go melee range but use magic to attack as well as defend, buff and share boons, condi clense and protect with wards that enemies cant pass. They can also summon spirit weapons (yeah), teleport them selfs, reflect projectiles and give permanent aoe protection.
This makes the guardian more complex, party oriented as well as simply more interesting than the warrior…but we are talking about comparing how guards and warriors face the entire pve world on their own….
PS: I was doing a “leveling trough the shiverpeaks with 0 deaths challenge” (i made it up for my self) and at one point i got under leveled. I was doing it with a norn guardian and i can tell the enemies get quite brutal and i really did use all my blocks, heals and blinds in order to bring them down. I dont know if i could have made it with a warrior..tho i didnt check.
PPS: This is a thing where you are facing mobs that are 3-5+lvls above you. Once you get to lvl 80 there arent many areas in the game that has such things…
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
PLOT TWIST
they preview druids AND forges at the SAME TIME!
i understand that “Guard!” has ground targeting that sends your pet to that place in stealth and it can be dificult to “ground target” in a 3d underwater enviorment.
But they could change the skill so that it just gives the pet stealth and protection and then we can use our F1 to send the pet somewhere.
But yeah…. shouts with casting times that can be interupted and shouts without cast time that are instant cast…doesnt make much sense to me
As for flying pets i understand the ground path finding :P
- SAB : they are working on it in the background, will prolly make it available when a new chapter is done
-Bazaar of the Four Winds (again): The zephyrites are in the dry top, trying to pick up the pieces of their airships
-Queen’s Jubilee: its a event that celebrated the queens 10th anni of her rule…we cant have that every 3 years…
-Clockwork Chao: SPOILERS——→ Scarlet is dead
-Tower of Nightmares: it has been destroyed
-Escape from Lion’s Arch: lions arch has been rebuilt….
What part of “living story” and “living world” dont you understand?
Also, they did have some “events” going on since the announcement.
Lunar festival, the rebuilding of LA, spvp and wvw events and some others
-Doing world bosses and silverwaste runs give some nice gold and doesnt require parties or guildies.
-Dungeon runs are also excellent but it does get harder and takes longer if you dont know how to speed clear them or go with pugs.
-Another interesting way to earn money is during some “special” events such as haloween and wintersday or even lunar festival. I managed to farm a ton of gold during last haloween. Yes it was mind numbing and boring and extremely repetitive and grindy buy the pay out was incredible.
-You can also try to simply play the game, level a new char or something and sell everything you pick up. Salvage all the gears you get into mats (most of the time the mats you get from them can be sold for more gold than the item it self)
-Guild missions offer guild commedations. These can be traded trough the npc to get some nice items you can sell on tp (sentinels insignia and such cost 8-10g)
-Try your luck with the Mystic Forge.. while i dont rly do that my self i always keep some low level rare and exotic weapons that i find during the time i level up my new characters (rare and exotics from lvl up reward can also be thrown into mf).
I use them to make them a higher lvl rare/exotics that can be turned into something more useful and rare.
For example a bunch of low level rares that i gathered that could be sold for a few silver on tp got upgraded into a few rares that costed about 40 silver each.
Personally im working all week every week on a ship and i only get to go home once per week for a few hours.
What i do during this time is buy order hundreads of items from tp (some are very specific) and next week i list them on sale and make a new buy order list.
Every week i buy and sell about 50-100 items and every one gives me a small profit that accumulates in a nice sum.
Thats how i deal with my gold income when i have no time to play during summer.
However this method requires you to have lots of gold already in order to make a large buy order list (however you could go with a smaller amount of gold since you can play more often than i can)
Eddited: Some of the best ways to earn gold wont always be fun and thrilling.
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
why are "old " “core” shouts such as warriors, guardians and rangers instant cast and the “new” “patched” shouts with casting time?
“We heal as one!” “Strenght of the pack!” “Receieve the light!” and “Feel my wrath!”
Also, pretty much all new elite specializations with shouts have casting times on them (tho ele has only half of them with casting times)
Weren’t shouts trademark instant cast with a voice over?
Also why cant i shout “Guard!” under water but can shout everything else?
PS: flying pets that cant fly over a gap to the enemy? :o
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
As mentioned they needed to categorize skills with out any type.
Healing spring was a trap in gw1 so there ya go.
Ive been using it for a bit now and i dont really have any problems with it…
It activates just as “instantly” as it used to except it doesnt if allies with full health enter it.
Which imo isnt a bad thing, why would you want your healing skill to activate on a full health ally?
Also pre setting numerous healing springs.
Also, its not a fire field…i dont know why would you want to have a water field right before you enter a fight
We use swiftness to jump further in jumping puzzles (it even effected leap skills to launch us further untill recently )
Are they the same white snow wolfs?
I managet to stack up a hundread of them before they went gone.
only to find out they got removed and thqt i can craft my own beastly tonics. Some of which turn you in random beasts
Thank you for your input
Sooooo… about the glyphs and healing/protecting support aspects type abilities? :/
So ive read about those aspects and seen that they will be able to use glyphs.
at first glance it seems like druids will be able to “attune” to different aspects and gain different effects for their glyphs depending on the current aspect.
i was just wondering, do you think druids will be able to “attune” to some sort of group healing/protection abilities?
Or do you think the “supportive” attunements will be more of some sort of cc ?
Am i right about mesmers having the most utility in the game with their weapon skills and utility skills?
I mean, cc, stealth, distortions, blocks, reflects, portals, boon sharing/riping, the clone/phantasm mechanic…
I think ill go with the tallest norn guardian with the stongest physique
kinda always liked guardian more than the warrior and its blue skills match the norm ratial skills.
i also kinda disliked the dragon hunter theme but with a norn it does make more sense than a dh sylvari.
as for charrs i wanted to play a warrior but the ratial skills are more leaning towards engies.
I know the size of the weapon depens on the size of your character but what exactly?
Is it just how tall your char is? Or also how wide? Hand size? Who has a biger gs, a norn or a charr?
While i do love when i can play a class with multiple ’ roles’ besides zerkers ( even some random querky pve only nomad tank healer build) i dont think id like to be able to switch professions as they are
I bought the digital deluxe game and ill gladly buy the regular hot expansion for 50
as for gems i havent spent a single penny on them, only gold.
and ive bought numerous bags, char slots,3 perm gath tools , a name change..
so yeah… years and years of fun times for the price of what? 110total?
Note: i havent tried the new traits and skills as i dont have much time to play atm.
But i did read about them on wiki and forums.
i also apolagise for any typoes considering im writting this on my phone.
So i was thinking about making a new sylvari character and id like to hear out some oppinions about classes with the new traits and skills before i decide to make one.
Im considering to make new thief or ranger since i think it fits with the race.
I already have a ele, war, guard, mes at lvl 80 with nice gear.
i have a low lvl engie charr (but i cant seem to get myself into the guns, turrets and explosives theme)
J also plaid thief and rangers but not for long and it was pre patch
So before you paste “play what you like” ill tell you what i do like. The main reason im asking about the suggestion is cause i dont know how the 2 classes work with the new traits and i also feel like lvling a sylvari and trying out the personal story.
so heres a list of things i like to do and id like your oppinions about what class would be more fun for me:
pvp; i do pvp mostly for dailies. Meaning i play on whatever class is needed.
Stronghold mode could be interesting tho
Wvw; i never really plaid as a commander, i enjoyed folowing the zerg , taging enemies, as well as using siege for defending keeps. I also had fun with my old low lvlthief by zipping trough the map and scouting as well as using ambush trap as a long distance “alarm”
Pve; i like exploring, slecially the treasures and jp. I also enjoyed stealthing and shadow stepping in mini dungeons trough traps and veterans that guarded the treasure.
i also enjoydd collecting pets as a ranger . Made me pay attention to my suroundings that are quite nice.
dungeons and fractals; i havent been doing much fractals and i only do dungeony when i want some extra gold or a dungeon skin.
Besides… my experiance is that i most often switch on another char that the party is lacking
Note: im looking to play for fun and pve mostly. Meaning lots of casual explorjng if tbe world, interacting with pcs, reading dialogues, story missions , trying out funny builds lkke trapper runes ect.
being super meta and optimal isnt my goal.
i also love when i can have different playstyles on a single profession like power, condi, traps, venom, stealth builds, ratial skills, playing with pets, interacting with other players and npcs with combo fields and boons ect.
So what do you guys sugest?
Which proff would be more fun for me thiefs or rangers? ( when it comes to the things i mentioned)
I know the info about druids is very limited atm, im just asking for your opinions.
Will the new specialization have traits and skills focused on healing and supporting?
