Anet should remove/replace every trait and rune ability that causes a character to perform an action with no input from the player. Would make the pvp in this game much better.
Here we go.

Anet needs to add this: nobody can drop any siege within 1,200range from the tag but the commander, or something like that.
You didn’t think before posting that did you?
lol @ professional player…
GW is serious business y’all gotta be professional….
I put on a suit and tie before I start playing GW2. Gotta go pro bro.
It always comes down to small male genitalia doesn it? Anyway, I laugh to get all the nerd zerglings angry enough to leave their zerg and try kill me by themselves, sometimes it’s the only way to get an even fight in this game.
PU Scepter Mesmer, move 20pt in domination to inspiration and time the scepter block on every sneak attack = dead pd thief
If I were fighting a mesmer using scepter block on a p/d thief I would probably just cnd off clones until the scepter block was over, but that’s probably an effective method against bad p/d thieves. In fact, even if you do mess up and get the torment on you, you can always just cnd off clones until you are full condi cleared/healed. Mesmers honestly have no chance against a good p/d thief since the thief can molest and abuse their clones to no end to heal up whenever they need, shadow rejuvenation is an insanely strong trait.
I made a p/d condi thief awhile back to play around with the build and my conclusion is that if you have at least half a brain you should never die to any other build in a 1v1… ever. The worst you should expect is a stale-mate if you fight something like a shout guard or diamond skin ele, other than that they are the god mode 1v1 build in this game (even more cheesy than pu mesmer). Fortunately, they are completely useless in team fights, just run cheese mode dual healway guardian comp and you can completely ignore them since they will actually do 0 damage to your group, then they will just turn invisible and run away once the rest of their group is dead and you get to shrug and go about your day.
Everyone saw you were running Mending and left the game.
Sorry I’ve been out of the loop a bit.
Was this a GW1 reference or did they actually put mending on as a warrior ability in GW2?
I would say awesome if they did, but the way they sort of gave the bird to all their GW1 fans makes me frown at that. I feel like GW1 is too good for these devs and they shouldn’t be allowed to make references.
Mending has been a warrior ability for a little over 2 years. Unless troll, in which case gud jerb!
I’ll go first, I think they should add a merchant that we can trade our badges of honor for tomes of knowledge. (stole this idea from someone else, nevertheless it’s a wonderful idea I think)
That would take about 9-12 months to implement.
I think its new balancing algorythm when game recognize you using hambow:-P
The new hambow warrior build is axe/shield? Interesting…
4. at least 2 cond conversion into boons for warhorn skill.
no, mak it 3.
Currently 119% crit chance means that you are wasting 399 (19 * 21) precision points that could go elsewhere.
EDIT: It is like condition duration, you CAN get over 100% but the game just ignore anything over that.
Except that going over 100% duration can be useful since the game first nets your (+) duration with the enemy’s (-) duration, so if you have 140% duration and an enemy has -65% duration then your applied conditions will still be at 75% duration.
Why would “your logic tell you” that it would “double crit” lol?
100% = 1.
200% = 2.
Because math. And no, i have not seen anywhere say double crit. But then again, I have not seen anywhere say crit either. Neither have you for that matter, I simply see a number displaying damage. Like the rest of you do.
Pretty obvious logic, just like when you shoot a dead body you cause them to experience a double death.
After I won a 1v3, somebody whispered me and said they reported me for aim-bot.
Can I have railgun accuracy, # of gauntlet humiliations, and k/d ratio reported for last 20 games?
Needing to find 30 out of exactly 30 means that if you just miss one anytime on your search, you’d need to search all over again. Its not fun.
If you miss one coin you don’t need to do anything. If you want an achievement that says you found every single coin, then you have the option to go search for every single coin. If you’re doing things because you think you need to do them despite them not being fun, then maybe you have some sort of disorder.
Single match conquest is best game mode for e-sports, why would you ever want anything else?
I understand the scale issues; just making sure there weren’t some misconceptions flying around. Most melee attacks have pretty large hit areas to make the game feel better with latency. I believe they’re bigger than the animations show for every race/scale. Especially to the sides.
I can’t think of a way to fix this off the top of my head without plastering ground decals all over the place or somehow making streak effects better show the attack arc. Any other ideas?
Option to display other players as any character model that you choose, lots of other games do this, for example, Quake.
just do like in WvW.
Set model limit to lowest – everyone the same. EZMODE FIX. Its already in the game. It cannot get more simple then that.
The low res character models in the game do not have the same variety of animations as regular characters do. For example, the low res models only have one animation for attacking, it could be an eviscerate or an auto-attack, but on the low res model it would look exactly the same. Would be worse than fighting an asura.

TOL already had full asuran teams, I just switched to asura myself because not only is it nearly impossible to see what I’m doing, but also in necro plague form you can hit people who are standing outside of the plague radius indication ring because broken asuran animations. If all you care about is PvP, you can either play asura or play at a disadvantage. #GW2ESPORTS!!!
First 2 games I come back…skyhammer. This may be a short comeback
You felt that your resolve to quit GW2 was such a momentous event that it merits it’s own thread… and you come back to the game 2 days later, quite impressive.
So you insult a player, he leaves, you get a 4v5 and lose as a result. Sounds like it’s working as intended.
Life as a necro main in a nutshell: the other players spam all their boons and expect to be good, I blow them up anyway, they send me dirty message about op necro and come to the forums to ask for nerfs.
Yes, thieves have no survivability, no boons, no support, and damage was nerfed to the point that you can’t even kill a full glass ele. All the thief QQ got them nerfed to the point that they are just free kills now, which is what all the no-skill players wanted, so I guess grats to them. Not surprising that all the good PvP teams don’t run any thieves in their group, all hail the op necros/wars/eles.
They should have something like:
Chicken Mode You have taken the easy way out and must walk this map as a chicken.
Once enabled, you are transformed into a chicken for 10 minutes and move 50% slower but are able to map. You cannot see your allies or enemies, you cannot see chat, you cannot chat, you cannot whisper, you cannot see upgrades, you cannot see sieges, you see the bare bones of the map and nothing more, and once mapping is complete or the timer runs you are kicked from the map. Chicken Mode can only be used once per 6 hours.
How about just add “map completion achievement pro mode”, once activated all you have to do is open your map and click on points of interest and vistas and they will be discovered by your character. Seems more efficient than actually running around the map, ain’t nobody got time for dat.
WvW in a nutshell: kill camp guard, game decides to teleport you inside stone wall, awesome camera angle, stuck in combat can’t port, ripperino. Pretty good game.
energy too complex to understand, better to keep game simple like league of legends so it can go esportz!
I haven’t commanded a zerg on my Necro, but mine is purpose-built for frontline tanking. I’m not sure how successful you’ll be without Stability, so as a Necro comm you need your Guardians to be absolutely on point with their AOE Stability. I’ve been focused and CC’d long enough for my 24k DS and 33k HP to be completely erased while completely unable to even move.
OP says solo roaming, you say front line zerg commanding.
Let’s analyze what a guardian can do against lich form auto-attacks, I’m just gonna run down the list of each auto-attack a lich form necro does and what a guardian can do.
LF Auto 1: Passive aegis blocks, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 2: Sword #2 blind, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 3: Focus #5 block (blocks 3 attacks), take 0 dmg
LF Auto 4: Focus #5 block, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 5: Focus #5 block, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 6: Focus #4 blind, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 7: Focus #4 blind (second bounce), take 0 dmg
LF Auto 8: F1 active traited blind, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 9: GS #3 blind, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 10: F3 active aegis block, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 11: Shelter block heal (lasts 2s, LF auto is about 1 per second), take 0 dmg
LF Auto 12: Shelter block heal, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 13: Renewed Focus invulnerability (lasts 2s), take 0 dmg
LF Auto 14: Renewed Focus invulnerability, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 15: F3 active aegis block (recharged from elite), take 0 dmg
LF Auto 16: Dodge, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 17: Dodge, take 0 dmg
LF Auto 18: Dodge (energy sigil weapon swap), take 0 dmg
Were you standing completely still when you got that combat log?
Make learning crafting recipes account bound, because there’s really no reason for them not to be. May have been suggested before, but since Anet can’t be bothered to fix their forum search feature, there’s no way for me to know.
This is the same reason why the Special Olympics were created, maybe lobby Anet to create a Special ToL where people who are deaf/blind/have no arms can compete with each other. Other than that, there is nothing that says that teams in this game are not allowed to discriminate in who they accept.
How many teams run at least 1 guardian? How many teams run at least 1 necro?
???
Necro OP confirmed, plz nerf.
This has been brought up many times since launch. The overwhelming silence is pretty much the only answer you’re likely to get. Past performance is indicative of future results.

Pretty sure Anet altered the team colors awhile back to make them easier to distinguish for color blind people.
That’s not really the same as a colorblind mode. A cb mode lets the player toggle it on or off depending what they want/need. No one is forced to use it but it’s available for those who need it.
This battlefield video shows what I’m talking about.
So when you were referring to the overwhelming silence of Anet regarding accommodations for color blind individuals, you were only referring to their silence to specifically creating a special colorblind mode. Ok, good to know.

Add ability to become a traitor and attack ppl on your own server. V gud suggestion. ty, I want to kill ppl on my own server plz
I have never played condition necromancer because I refuse to
I don’t blame you, you would get wrecked by hambows.
Look at combat log and click on person name and report.
But why would you report someone that goes stealth?
10/10
Just give me RTS mode and let me tell my minions exactly what to do
The Zephyr rucksack contains the toucan which gives you tactical PvP advice on the go. Before I started wearing my rucksack, I was losing 1v1s to up-leveled bear-bow rangers. Now, with the help of the rucksack toucan, I am fighting1v5s against all warrior comps and winning like a boss! Thanks Zephyr Rucksack!
Anet doesn’t know how to program their game to track those types of events.
Fear: once used the enemy gets a boon which means that fear cannot be placed on them for 10 seconds – remove stability
Got this wrong bro, it would be as soon as the stability prevents one cc, it gets removed and you are not allowed to prevent any more cc for the next 10 seconds.
I miss the HoD that made threads like this
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/recruitment/Come-to-HoD-for-free/first#post3819055
They were much more entertaining
Can they ress anyone?
- Not likely.Wot? Shadow refuge is the best skill in the game for getting downed allies up. Stability stomp, invulnerability stomp, stealth stomp, blind stomp, block stomp… doesn’t matter because you can’t stomp invisible people.
Technically Warbanner is the best skill in the game for getting up downed allies… but… I mean… yeah SR is alright at it too… even if it does put the thief at risk if he’s playing against you know… players and not bots.
Warbanner is easy to see and easy to interrupt with a 2 second cast time, SR is 0.25s cast time so it will almost never be interrupted. Not to mention finishing takes 3 seconds, so you need to warbanner within 1 second of the ally going down or the ally dies, you have over 2 seconds to SR after an ally goes down to save them from a stomp. I would take a thief running SR in my party over a warrior running Warbanner any day.
TIL warriors have no access to stability to prevent them from being interrupted while using warbanner. The fact that you think SR is somehow better than a skill that can instant res more than one downed ally is laughable. You know when SR is better than warbanner? Against morons I guess. Here’s a hint: If you see a SR suddenly appear on top of someone you’re staking, stop staking. Start cleaving and AoEing. Congrats, as long as you don’t hit like a wet noodle, you should at least kill the guy downed in the SR. If the thief is bad, you get two kills.
Idk how players like you think when you see SR go down, but I imagine it being something along the lines of, “Well crap! The guy I just downed disappeared! He could be anywhere! Definitely not where he just was less than a second ago. kitten … thiefs (intentional misspelling because this how all thief whiners spell the plural, don’t ask me why, sorry going on tangent now…) are broken!”
A competent team in an even fight will always out rez cleave damage on a SR, but bads often don’t know how to rez each other so maybe that’s new information to you. If a warrior tries to stability warbanner, I will just corrupt boon/path of corruption/spinal shivers and interrupt regardless. Guess you didn’t think about that, but from your idiotic post it seems you don’t do very much thinking period. Lastly, I never said thieves were broken, I responded to a post of a person saying they weren’t good at reviving allies because I regularly play in a small group as a thief or with a thief ally so I know how good they are at preventing downed players from becoming defeated players. Overzealous kitten thief posts attacking anyone who suggests that the thief class is good at anything are just as stupid as the ignorant posts about thieves being OP at everything.
Any competitive activity will have people with competitive attitudes. It is entertaining to see someone complaining about being insulted on the internet call all the people insulting him basement dweller’s who depend on their mom for cold cereal. You are a beacon of maturity.

Putting a Shadow Refuge on someone who’s downed wont ress him, and often people aren’t prepared to receive a shadow refuge, some even have severe brain lag and still tries to attack seconds after the refuge has landed resulting in them getting destealthed.
I did the mistake of trying to ress someone in front of a tower once, I received 2 hits from a meteor shower and some other generic AoE and got downed almost immediately, and seconds later I was killed as well while downed inside my own shadow refuge. I had a bit around 17k hp with my zerg build and 2.2k armor.
10.8k base hp and 1980 base armor isn’t that much you know when you don’t have any ranged options above 900 range.
Yes, bad players who don’t communicate tend to die in this game. That is irrelevant to how good SR is in group play.

If a mesmer uses the scepter auto-attack and the attack is reflected back at the mesmer, then the game treats it as if the person who reflected the attack used the skill. So if a mesmer uses scepter auto-attacks on a thief using dagger storm, then it will make clones of the thief.
