Yep, warrior without berserker stance is a free kill. Unfortunately, any half-way intelligent warrior will equip zerker stance for a necro fight and then necro is only allowed to run and try to survive for the first 10 seconds of the fight while the warrior pummels them. If you want to post something impressive, make a vid of you beating a good diamond skin ele, not some new person who obviously doesn’t have a good understanding of class mechanics.

Before people start arguing whether the pick is pay to win or not, you should probably define what “win” means. If “winning” gw2 means getting to max level, having best gear, and having the rarest items, then gw2 is already pay to win. Enter credit card, buy tons of gems, convert to gold, and buy legendary, buy materials to craft to lvl 80 in a few hours, buy full exotic armor, buy ascended mats to make ascended armor, buy all the super rare expensive skins to make your character look cool. These are the things most people are trying to accomplish as they spend countless hours playing the game, and you can accomplish them all easily by simply spending money.

We had a CDI thread quite some time ago discussing server population imbalance as the number one issue people had with WvW. A lot of ideas were given by players on how to help and fix this problem, but so far I haven’t seen Anet discuss anything about how they are going about fixing this problem, or if they are even still working on it. Can you provide an update on what’s going on?

I only find p/d condi thieves, d/p stealth thieves, and pu condi mesmers in OS duels, which gets boring after awhile. Sometimes it’s nice to fight other classes/builds.

about an hour a day over the two weeks leading up to pre-release, keeping up to date with the guild tracker and looking up which large online communities were going where.

These days there’s more information and it’s much more accurate, so really just 2-3 hours reading up on the forums and a few community sites would be more than enough for an educated decision.

And all that work landed you on NSP, sounds like time well spent.

So you’re saying that the damage reduction granted by armor doesn’t scale well, and the most efficient way of fixing this is to nerf every other stat and offensive power in the game. Interesting.

I’m still getting acclimated to the WvW team, and most recently I’ve been working with the balance team on the livestream we’ll be running tomorrow. (Which you’ll of course be watching, right?)

There is a WvW balance team?.. guessing they all play Warriors then… on a stacked server!

He said he is on the balance team, he never said their was a wvw specific one. Reading is hard.

So you want to be good at everything essentially. Choose warrior.

Probably depends on whether you take your WvW sample from the lost zergling staff guardians/uplevels or the players who are actually roaming and looking for fights.

In lower tiers you measure your success in WvW by the number of loot bags you farm, not by the amount of ppt your server has and defending SMC is the best way to farm zergs.

If you guys distributed yourselves evenly among all the servers then you could potentially fight any server each week, the ultimate variety! …no wait, that’s stupid, let’s all stack on one server so we can get the big ppt and win!

As much as I hate zoomhacker’s I’m going to have to say thats not zoomhacking, you can see through the grate area in the below SS and kill anything in that area. Langor a AC near gate can take out that treb too. And yes zoomhacking is very bad on Ebay, most of there commanders do it and its pathetic.

The same guy was shooting up on top of the back north inner stairs the second any ACs were placed down. Can you hit that area also?

The main thing ranks tell you is how many hours someone has spent in karma trains. I’d imagine at this point 90%+ of the total wxp given to people has come from those. You can earn more in an hour of a good train than you can playing normally for a week, which makes ranks meaningless.

Then rewarding players who achieve a high WvW rank with some type of prestige item would be consistent with the rest of the game… unless you think all those people running around with legendary weapons just have mad skillz.

I feel bad for the people who think ascended armor is the last stat grind Anet will add to this game.
