What bubble No where in my statement did I say anything about killing anyone. You are making a false analogy. Your analogy is warriors can kill anyone because they are warriors, and thiefs can kill anyone because they are thief’s is asinine to say the least. I would never say anything like that because it simply isn’t true and since thats not what I said why would you even respond that way?
So let me break this down for you warriors specialize in melee DPS so that is what they are good at. Would it make since for a class that specialized in melee DPS to be good at ranged AOE? no of course not. That is not warriors strong personality trait. Would it make since for a heavy armor class to not be able to take damage of course not. Warriors can take damage and deal good melee damage becasue that is what they are designed to do. They are warriors.
Thiefs on the other hand are medium armor class that specialize in evasion and burst damage. Two totally difference concepts you can not compare one to the other. And by the way thiefs can do way more melee burst damage than warriors.

Where is the counterbalance? If you have a little bit of everything, then everything should be midrange.
Everything on a warrior really isn’t mid range though. They are good at CC, defense and melee cleave damage mobility, and decent sustainability. Everything else is subpar. If you want to kill a warrior learn how to kite best advice and learn to dodge.. Unless you are packing enough melee damage and defense to go nose to nose with one.
Rangers are just in a really bad spot vs any class. But a BM bunker condi Ranger can defiantly take a warrior in 1v1.
Issue with most classes vs warriors is they are not on the right builds to deal with them then they get stomped and come to the form to complain about it, so because this class or any class is not built and traited and geared right to fight a warrior, then warrior musty be nerfed so other people can play whatever build they want but then warriors cant.

You should try hammer out sometime. its the best aoe dmg + aoe cc weapon in the game.

Are you trolling me? Hammer has 2 aoes sort of one is a cripple that doesn’t do damage. And Leg specialist was nerfed to have an ICD of 10 sec so no more AOE immobilize. Stagering blow is considered a cleve skill not an aoe.
Earth shaker used to do decent damage but was nerfed and no more 50% crit chance when an enemy is stunned as the trait was moved. So um considering the only decent AOE is the burst skill this is a terrible weapon for anything but the #1 cleve skill and the single target back breaker which does decent damage.
Warth shaker is nothing compared to a ranged AOE of other professions. Infact the 2 sec stun is nothing compared to a ranger frost trap, a ele chill field or a engineer glue shot as far as cc is concearned it is weak compared to what other professions can do if played properly.

1. Kill shot see #6 besides kill under prefect/lucky scenario do any of warriors other ranged abilities outshine any other profession.
2. Warrior can face tank PVE. Warrior is high risk low reward there are not many get out jail free cards with this profession unless its built for mobility. The only builds like that are builds that use GS and we know how bad GS is in PVP.

4. All of the skills that do bleeding damage are power based skills with the exception of pin down. The only decent burning skill they have is F1 burst on the bow. The other fire skill is only 1 sec of fire damage and is a power based skill. Yes they have torment on the sword which is a power weapon. Being only able to apply 95% of their condition damage as bleeding damage makes them a weak condi class. They have no poison or chill. Without especially having poison it puts them below theifs, necros, rangers and engineers as condi classes which would be bottom of the list all of those other professions can deal conditions better than a warrior.
5. Asura warriors also suffer from the obvious tells of hammers, maces particularity and bows. Kill shot your #1 argument is the most telegraphed skill in the game.
6. Thiefs steal has a cool down yes it is very similar, however you can trait stealing to actually do useful things like give you boons, it also can have a 1200 range as a gap closer and it gives you skills that can steath you and heal you etc. OP much? Burst skills just do 1 thing and that is damage or CC that is it. Thiefs F1 > Warriors burst skill. No question.
7. Immobilize, cripple, and tremor are not gap closers they are CC big difference.
8. Heartseeker Heart Seeker hearseeker? Big difference. Warrior has nothing like that and a thief doesn’t need to land cc to do that over and over. Guardians have whiling blades that actually pull the target to them again other classes can pull targets they don’t need to chase. Big difference. I would hardly consider DD ele as melee anything 600 range is not melee.
9. Signets have cast times, shouts and stances do not. Those are utilities though they are not skills.
10. LTP thats all I got to say.
11. 100 blades, kill shot, staggering blow. Some of the most know skills warrior can not move while channeling them. which means if you get eatin by 100 blades you are a bad player because all you have to do is move.
12. No thiefs guild, no ranger pets, no necro pets, no spirit weapons, no clones, no turrets, no elementals. Come to think about it every profession can summon some mobs or some AI to help them but warriors.
13. You don’t know anything about warriors and obviously you dont play one.

1. Ranged abilities.
2. Evasion, or evasive maneuvering. Blinks, stealth’s, teleports.
3. AOEs. outside of melee cleave of course.
4. Conditions damage. All of warriors weapons are power based including the ones that do have secondary condition effects. Except sword/impale
5. Tells or telegraphed skills if you can count this as a con almost all of warriors skill have huge tells even the ones that ANET says that dont.
6. Burst skills (profession mechanic) need to be charged to use these skill do not have actucal cool downs. (they do have CDs but that doesn’t mean you can use the skill) the cool downs are based on refil of adrinaline thus there are not skills that are on demand. A warrior can not just use one of these skills then expect to use it again when a cool down is up.
7. Gap closers. The only gap closers warriors have are 1 sword leep 2 on a GS and a utility. Considering this profession needs to close gaps to do melee damage this hurts them.
8. Combination of Gap closing and CC and tells with slow animations and long cast times. Warriors need to close gaps, then land CC, then the target needs to be disabled in order to do damage. Thus warriors are extremely susceptible to kiting.
9. Insta cast skills. very very little of warriors skills are insta cast they all have cast times with obvious tells.
10. Given all of these short coming to get beat by a warrior means you are not playing your profession skillfully.
11. Melee skills that root the warrior in place. Counter intuitive.
12. No clones, no pets. No elite skills that give them minions etc.
13 Ability to get the protection boon or any other boons besides, might, fury, and swiftness.
14. Anything i missed let me know.
15. the thief skill that they steal from us is better than our actual skill.

About Warriors i d think:
1 – Adrenaline gain via utility skills need be decreased.
Hambow and Skullcraker is very strong because Adrenaline gain via Berserker Stance and Active Signet of Fury, may be that BS need no longer grant Adrenaline and Active Signet of Fury has other effect. However, Passive Signet of Rage need be toned up, may be that could grant 1 Adrenaline per second instead 1 adrenaline every 3 seconds.
Skull Cracker ANET eliminated from the game Hambow was ANET is in the process of eliminating this from the game also which also eliminated all of the warriors other builds as well… keyword was. Everything else you said was on point.
Then anet broke a ton of other things that were inconsequential hammers is one axes were another. And now longbow. Weapons that were pretty balanced and didn’t need changes all becasue they wanted to nerf certain builds that used them but destroyed every other build that used them also.

This is a profession that is meant to facetank and do high melee DPS because it is a warrior. Look up warrior in the dictionary and that is the definition of a warrior. There is nothing wrong with warriors they are exactly how they should be there is a bunch of problems with the other professions ranger is one of them. How about you guys accept the fact that warriors are warriors and ask ANET to fix your other classes. And stop making useless threads asking for anet to nerf warriors because your class is broken and is underpowered.
It’s fairly easy to dodge OR reflect (muhahaha) unless you are stunned/immobilized for days.

Cuzs wars ability to stun and immobilized got nerfed.
GW2 is supposed to be solo game inspired with group support abilities and content. If it had a holy trinity they would need to tone down how much damage mobs do in PVE or you wouldn’t be able to solo.
Given how extremely dull PVE is in this game, a holy trinity would make it dull and dependent on parties.
Skills that reflect projectiles, turn the enemys skills into your skills. If you reflect a Riffle Volley it will be like you are using riffle volley.
1. The Longbow up until the Dec 10 Patch had received no changes since the game was released roughly 1 year and 4 months prior. We are now seeing the long bow being nerfed into the ground? 1st it was conbustive shot now it is pin down. Can you please explain why for over a year and during the time warriors were considered not viable in SPVP the long bow was consider very balanced and now it is not?

3. The mace received a significant Buff when compounded with a bugged sigil it was quite overpowered. After the Sigil was nerfed you felt that it was still too strong.
Can you please elaborate the reasoning by making every single skill a warrior can do to be highly telegraphed when you do not apply those same rules to other professions. It is one thing for a skill to be telegraphed if it should land to be devastating. Its another thing for a skill to be highly telegraphed that if it should land be lackluster. ANET you appear to want it both ways with the warrior balancing not only can you not land a skill because its now clunky and slow but if you do land it is weak.
4. Healing signet. Before Healing signet warrior was not viable in SPVP. They lacked sustain. Did you buff it too much or was it buffed very in line with other professions abilities to sustain themselves? From our perspective the case is both. But do you not think it is fair that if healing sig is nerfed that all other professions that are capable of sustain to see their sustainability nerfed as well? You said you want warriors to activate the signet sometimes as your reasoning for nerfing it that is fine, but there are a few other signets we think you should buff too not just warrior ones. That most people do not use because they are not useful. Rather than nerfing healing sig why don’t you just give warriors some sustain that doesn’t rely on healing signet? We know that warriors will not activate it. It better heal for more than it would heal passivly during its cool down. Oh right you are nerfing its passive effect to make it appear that it will heal better but it wont heal better isn’t this correct?
5. Anet you seem to have no problem with other professions having passive play, with no telegraphed skills that do devastating damage all while they have huge amounts of sustain. This whole nerf warrior thing is just a witch hunt, soon as all of the work you guys did to make warriors viable in SPVP many of the professions that were always and already viable in SPVP will be god mode and warrior will be bottom of the list again isnt this correct?
They are re-balancing a re-balance. Unrelated they nerfed skills and traits into the ground already based on the old power curve. Now they are going to remove the old one and just insert a new power curve into their game that wont mesh well with the extensive changed they made based on the old one.
Then they will turn around and realize this and do some more power creeps and nerf warriors some more and turn this into a condition game, where only condition builds are viable with auto proc petting zoos and etc…
you want to know what is good? the game hasn’t changed that much. still the same professions.
There is enough skins. Majority of them are mediocre.

No you just got done telling us how all of the other warrior heal skills are bad. Then you propose to nerf the only good one we have, then gave us a bunch of ideas on how to fix the others. Which sounds like just giving the complainers what they want but then making another healing skill something to complain about. Plus the changes that you provided would not give warrior enough sustain. Then you would nerf there sustain. So it sounds just like you just don’t want warriors to have sustain.
Warrior is in a good spot right now, they are not the best class anymore and anyone with the right build can beat a warrior. The ones complaining are new players or less skillful and knowledgeable players. Give it a rest already, there are way worst things in this game involving balance than healing sig, and some of them are newly introduced.

Edge of the Mists is too late. It’s somthing that should of been implemented long ago. A-Net spent more of its resources on SPVP than it should of and neglected WvW more than it should of. Every game out there has PVP and team vs team not every game out there has WvW. WvW is the real draw to GW2 and it wasn’t realized by A-Net until player populations started dwindling and WvW became stagnant do to it. Now A-NET is finally getting the picture but there needs to be a lot more than this I feel entire server merges are coming at some point its just a matter or time.
Almost no servers have WvW ques anymore except maybe on shuffle night and thats it so how is this any useful anymore.

ANET I demand you nerf warriors and all other professions I can’t beat. No I will not change my build or learn to play. I want buffs also, please make them weak and me strong so I can kill in one shot and cheese the game. Make it so they can never beat me no matter what they do.

Here do like what I put. Attack of opportunity doesn’t help your build because a 10% increase of physical damage to bleeding foes will not be a noticeable difference with a condition build becasue your physical damage is so low. Take the signet mastery instead. Or take Vigorous Focus to get vigor when u pop a stance. either one would be better synergy with your build. Also use the Dire for the armor, rabid is fine on everything else but you do need some vit… Use the condition duration runes I put otherwise your conditions will not work against players using resistance/melandru setups.
Your builds major flaw is and this is just from my experience Cleasing Ire alone is not enough condition management for WvW. You have berserkers stance but that only goes so far, U are prone to getting shut down by cripple immobilize and chill even with dogged march and other players using condition damage. Cheers.

People rather bash another profession or ask for buffs to their own than figure out how to work with what they have and counter what is challenging.

Sounds like you have the right idea in attempting to max each stat by mixing gear. I don’t think warriors need vit as a major stat but need it as a secondary stat. Meaning warriors are better of with Soldiers than they are with sentinels.
I like Cavilers when mixed with berserker because it adds toughness, But I don’t like Cavilers mixed with solder/sentinel Because you end up with a build with to low precision/chance to crit. I think that knights mixed with Soldier is the better mix.
This is obviously just my opinion.
ANET doesn’t get that there are people who are giving them false data in the form of whining on the forums. These whines are not in the interest of bettering the game they are in the interest of the players and are selfish whines.
All this this bad data is coming from players who want their own perfered professions buffed and other professions nerfed. Many of game mechanics these players use are passive and overpowered and as a result they do not have to abide by the same rules that other classes have to and as a result they generally are lazy in their approach to PVP and as a result of that lazyness they get defeated. Then they come to whine and ANET listens to them and then buffs them and nerfs the other professions.

I heard its a lot like some of the others that the other professions are getting. Not that good…A couple of them are good the rest are not. Warrior one isn’t one of the better ones.
I don’t agree with your assessment theguy. I don’t think the buffs were too strong. I think people just look for an excuse and something to blame. And ANET LISTENS to them and thats why things keep changing. Many people will agree that gurdians don’t need buffed yet look they are getting buffs. Even warriors that people are claiming are too strong cannot take down a skilled guardian with ease..
the logic is to add a gear treadmill and a power creep to our dieing game, so the hardcore who care about having the best will keep playing the game, but make the differences small enough that for people who don’t care won’t get all offeneded and quit the game. that is the logic becasue its an addition that wasn’t asked for or needed in the game or required.
Every server taking a hit means the ranks will be the same, except with fewer people playing on each server. There’s no reason to believe that T1 loses 90% of its players, and T5 only loses 5%, and suddenly SoS is T1 material.
This is true for PvE but not for WWW.
Say that every server loses one fifth of their players.
Say SoR has 125% of the queues on reset night. If one fifth leaves, they still got a full queue.
Say TC has 100% of the queues on reset night. If one fifth leaves, they got only 80% of the map filled.The difference is huge in WWW.
And this example is not so theoretically as it sounds. On TC, we usually have a queue on EB but nowhere else (except in prime times).
If you take out 20% of the players, you will probably still have a queue in EB but the other maps will be empty. We saw to what that leads three weeks ago, when others took all of TCBL whenever they wanted

That’s true. I still remember exactly who did what in SWG. And that’s years ago. And it’s especially tru in PvP communities, they are smaller.
I understand what you are saying although you have the right idea I don’t think you fully understand what you are talking about. So let me help.
It is true for PVE, SPVP, and WVW. Three distinct player bases. WvW is the the most resilient of the three.
“PVE ONLY” The game has lost more “PVE ONLY” players. Lets be honest pve sucks in gw2. There isn’t enough content or the right type of content to keep PVE ONLY players engaged longer than once they have experienced it. They move on to the next PVE game they like.
“SPVP ONLY” This community is the smallest of the three. While the balance in GW2 is not bad compared to other games. There has been enough bad balance that has drove a lot of these players away from the game. Plenty of other games out there with PVP.
“WvW ONLY” By in large the biggest community. There is not another game out there that can replace this game type and do it well enough that players will leave GW2 to play another game for the same game mode. But lets be real WVW has gotten stale. It is really fun until it gets old and the game has been out ahwile now and it has gotten old. So lots of people left just becasue they are tired of it.
“HARDCORE FANBOY/GIRL” These are the players that are keeping the game alive now that all of the others have left. They play more than one game type. PVE/WVW/and spvp. These players won’t leave the game probably and the ones that do are way fewer than all the other types.
Still your assessment is that T1 wont lose 90% of its players and T5 will only lose 5% sos in t1 material has the right conclusion but the the right description. T1 will remained stacked regardless how many players it loses because players will transfer or new players will start the game on stacked server. people want to play with other people. why would you play a MMO without playing with other people and while that is a highly exaggerated statement its purpose is to illustrate human behavior. Lastly plenty of T1 servers have had their communities fall apart and drop rank. While that is unrelated to GW2 decline there is a strong relationship to people leaving the server or otherwise quiting the game.
Don’t think for one second people are not leaving this game to go play other games, all servers are taking the hit it is just less apparent on less populated servers.

MilkZz that is only true vs another profession who only has dodge mechanics. Or another player who is only using dodge mechanics. But there are more ways to negate damage than dodging.
You say the damage is out of line but I played a warrior since open beta and as far as I am aware the only changes that were made to hammers is some of the skills had there animations smoothed out so that the hammer skills casted slightly faster. No change was ever made to the Burst skill.
So to say this I think is out of line with the history of the hammer because it was never complained about before. People are blaming the hammer for somthing that is happening that is not caused by the hammer.
The skill is just there to say hey we gave all these other classes new heals have one also to be fair. And to be fair some of the other heals that the other professions are getting are not good replacements of what they already have as well.

yes every game goes through that. Not to say GW2 will die becasue the only thing thing that would kill GW2 is GW3…But that is very long from now. Someday ANET will have to start combining and decommissioning servers though.
At any rate SOR had a very good run and should be proud. BG should be proud of what it accomplished as well. All of the top servers have had their chance to Shine. I would personally love to see some new servers have their chance as well. There is nothing like being on top, just never forget it is not a individual effort but a community effort. Do not let your personal comments detract from that.

Which one FF14ARR? That game is only PVE i thought. There are a bunch of new games coming out soon…Wildstar ESO EQNext will be intresting to see if even the hardcore GW2 fans left will stay. Were thinking of coming back to GW2 until one of those games comes out. TSYM may be back…

Gentlemen, it’s been a heck of a season. And this is the summary of it from my perspective.
The drama’s began before the season even started, with MERC jumping ship to Jade Quarry and backstabbing Blackgate which was a shock to the whole WvW community. Many MERC’s were against the move and stayed, just as many moved to Jade Quarry, and the MERC civil war still rages on to this day.
Remember Jade Quarry getting the easy draw and the amount of complaints on the forums? Some Jade Quarry posters stated that this was a fair decision and that they deserved an easy draw because there were the top seed.
The draw lead to the 2v1 against JQ in week 1. For the first time in guild wars 2 history, SoR and BG focused a common enemy. It was a milestone moment which both servers wanted to ensure that Jade Quarry would finish in 3rd, for their own benefit.

This result opened up league to be there for the taking for any tier 1 server.
In week 2, SoR were now looking like the hot favourites to challenge for the season. And they didn’t disappoint with a dominating effort against Blackgate on the opening weekend. BG waned and SoR took charge of the situation, with SoR heading towards a 17k lead only 2 days into the matchup. Blackgate then rallied and dismantled Sanctum of Rall’s 17k lead by the end of the 3rd day. The scores remained tight until halfway during the 4th day, that saw a monumentual collapse by SoR.

In week 3 many expected a strong showing by Sanctum of Rall to make up for the week before. But this was not to happen with SoR putting in an insipid performance. Infighting raged on their server and this was them giving up on the season.

Week 4 was an easy victory for BG against SoR due to events in the previous weeks.

Sad news reached tier 1 when IRON decided to leave the North American servers, and head back home to Europe. They brought many great fights, class (in game) and balance to tier 1. They will be missed.
Week 5 saw the much awaited showdown between Jade Quarry and Blackgate, the winner of this matchup was to be the champions. And it didn’t disappoint. These 2 power houses traded blows, the fighting was heavy and intense across all of the borderlands. Blackgate edged out a narrow lead of 4k, with Jade Quarry coming back to get a small lead of their own. The matchup continued like this until it came to the middle of the week, which saw the morale of Jade Quarry wane across the entire server, leading to their server conceding the loss.

With weeks 6 and 7 being formalities, Blackgate was now crowned the deserved champions of Gold League.
Best of luck to Sanctum of Rall for the future, your server has been a rock solid community that always puts comradery and fun above all else. I hope your server can rebuild and continue to be the great server that it’s always been.
To Jade Quarry, despite the draw, your server deserved to be classed as the favourites and you proved it in the match ups. You’ve got one hell of a community with a lot of very organised guilds and you put up a great fight. Good luck for next time.

Our community on Blackgate has faced enormous adversity, and has managed to stand up against all odds to achieve this. Well done to everyone on Blackgate for believing in the server, sticking up for each other, for staying up late and working for each other. And what purpose would that serve I stated in the beginning I havn’t played in 7 months and my guild quit this game about the same time? We have nothing to do with anything that has gone on in this game.

powerful banners doesn’t deserve its own trait. They need to either remove the trait or combine it with one of the other banner traits, since there is no advantage to using it over another trait with a banner build.
The only point to buffing it would to enable a banner build to function and it already does function well enough in a existing build. So the trait simply serves little purpose other than to be just there.
If i were going to buff it, it wouldn’t be a damage buff I would not add a damage buff i would add a non existing function like reduces the cast time of casting banners/banners can be cast further away.
We don’t know what you want to use sword/horn LB for. Those weapons work in a couple parts of the game but other weapons work better in parts of the game that those don’t work well in… Sword and LB are power/condi weapons.
Issue with them is u can go full power and use them but you would be better off with different weapons if you went full power. That is my logic and why I am going to tell you to go condition based warrior. You can stack a lot of bleeds and apply torment and burning. Or you can use a power build and use other weapons like axes/hammers greatsword in adition to sword/horn LB and be a lot more versatile.
If you do decide to go condition though yes you will be taking fulll advantage of the weapons that you stated you want to use but you wont be able to use other weapons effectively.
As a warrior you need to think not one single build suits all, but think multiple sets of geaar and multiple sets of weapons suits all purposes. Warriors are like swiss army knives in having many differnt tools. It is not a one tool suits all class.
This is a politically motivated nerf, motivated by false pretenses and data. And by significantly buffing other professions and nerfing warriors under false pretenses. ANET you have failed to balance the game.
The problem is you have way too many of these weak, meek and pathetic types in every game, and they complain about melees fulltime. In every mmo, the warrior melee types always, always get the bat. The devs will always listen to that stupid lot.
I don’t think they are inferior but I do think that they are manipulative. That manipulative behavior can be looked at in a negative sense however. I think the real danger is when you allow melees to operate outside of the melee rules. The problem is no one is complaining about that. People are complaining about melees being Melee. And ANET is eating that up rather than giving these professions the abilities to deal with that. And ANET has already fullfiled that responsibility and then some, but becasue they choose not to use the tools that ANET chose to give them to deal with melee then Melee must be nerfed so these manipulates can have there own way.
To play the game the way they want to not the way that ANET wants them to play.
Who really knows what ANET wants only ANET can tell you that but I guarantee what ANET wants would be different without these manipulators. becasue ANET is not holding the bag they have allowed the players to hold the bag.

ya its pretty obvious he is trolling as you can tell he is knowledgeable enough about the skills to know that the numbers presented were not true. I can’t think of any warrior skill that is light speed without frenzy. And the ones that he mentioned are not light-speed with frenzy.
So must be trolling.
My opinion is it is not “easy.” If it was in fact easy I would agree with any nerfs, but since i do not agree that it is easy, I do not agree with ANET

I would encourage you to read my posts if you find this interesting.
In your 1st example You did not state you had seen a crow so we have no reason to believe you saw a crow though. . How you came to the conclusion is not presented by the statement.
Your 2nd example even though we know the 1st sentence to be untrue there is no indication it is a false statement. Thus the conclusion is true.
So in the case of the original topic we know that warriors are not easy to play at PVP. We also know that “easy” is a subjective word and is open bias, opinion interpretation and should not be the bases of any nerf or justify one.
We also know if the 1st sentence the word “or” is used and in the second sentence the word “both” is used. So we know that the 1st and 2nd sentences are not equivalent and thus they are talking about 2 different things. One being true the other being false as explained with the word “easy”
So the conclusion made is invalid.
