But this is ofcourse no discussion thread, yust want to say i really like this post and think its the best attitude developers could have. Even though there are slightly more bugs then i hoped (they seem not that hard to fix, but i know how bad it can become
), i still think arenanet is following the right path… And even though they listen to the players yust like all other MMOs.. At the same time they also store and ignore it. And im NOT saying thats bad.. No its the opposite. At the start of an online game it is best to not be carried away by player reports because with a new game these usually are based on opinion, inexperience etc. And dont forget that 1 change to 1 proffesion can change the balance of all others. Therefor i am quite happy arenanet is carefull and thinks before pushing changes into the game.

Well ok, it can be used as burst but let me say it like this
Even if you had 40k health and permanent regen… You would still be squishy.
The lack of toughness is enormous and causes people to do massive dmg against you.. (1200 toughness (preferably a bit more ofc
is kinda the minimal if you intend to get hit more then once (unless you like glass cannon ofc. Nothing wrong with that))
So, yes it may work awesome for you, yes you may be an great killer with it… But still, its a glass cannon

Experience from the other side.. I was testing out some weird builds i thought off… I clearly didnt work because a hunter managed to down me.. I managed to keep him away with immobilise and used mist form to hide behind a tree. I thought i was safe but after some small healing a mesmer hit me. He did some dmg and started to stomp, right before his stomp ended i used mist form and fled.
The mesmer got immoblised by some1 else .. After lying on a distance i see the mesmer coming out of the CC, so i use my immobilise. Nonetheless he managed to get close to me. He started stomping and while he did that he said something about having me finally in chat.. 0,1 seconds before stomp i managed to pull of an mist form and ran, 2 seconds later i came out of mistform and the match ended while everyone was looking at me

Thiefs, fast and hardhitting.. Its yust what they are and always will be, no matter how far away trinity is. Yes it may sound strong but other professions also have some quite powerfull utilities specially made for their profession role..
Though i have to admit its weird they put so much boost on 1 spell. I dont mind thiefs having 25% more speed, dmg and speed is all they have.. But it might have been a better choice to for example give standard +10% speed as some passive in the traitline.. And then the signet gets +15%… That way thieves still have their speed but they depend less on that 1 signet, thus meaning they might be more tempted ro try an build without the signet..

Yeah same thing with for example the +5% critchance sigil… There are ALOT things that change the stats but dont show up in the character screen. The character screen kinda looks only at the stats gained by the traitlines (passive gain per rank), the stats gaines by gear and the stata gaines by boons…. Anything that gives stats apart from that doesnt show up. I dont think its annoying, but it would be easier to test out stuff if it actually changed at all statchanges, no matter where they are coming from.

I aint level 80 yet, but im gathering gold quite nicely and getting some gifts from other people… but what do people actually recommend me to buy at lvl 80?
I have heard different opinions.. some said to save for legendary, some said to buy Commander title, some said to buy cultural gear since you can buy exotics with karma anyway and some other answers…

this Rune should be fixed, neither the healthsteal nor the Mistform works.. 90% of the time the Mistform doesnt proc and the healthsteal appears, but never heals.

Tough to play and learn but so mentally rewarding.. If you are made for elementalist, even losing hard feels fun.
Elementalists .. Well.. Cant say we need some slight tweaks and changes because other classes getting changes and fixes will change things for us to. As it is atm we are kinda hard to play for less rewards then other professions. Nonetheless a very versatile proffesion still capable of dealing devastation in the right hands… Best reason to choose elementalist is if you have fun with it.

I played ele from BWE1, due to elementalist not being that well in pvp right after release i went to engineer after release. I have been owning enormous with my engineer.. BUT i barely had real fun during that. Now yesterday i went back to my ele again and thank god i did that. Joined spvp with a very nice homemade staffbuild and after 6 matches (it felt like as if it was only 5 mins
) i went to the bank, took all my engineers gold and stuff and now i totally changed back my main to ele

Uhmm, slightly increase the dmg of the autoattackskills of staffspec and also slightly increase the healing done by geyser.
Im not 100% sure what to do about daggers/scepters… they need to be able to still do nice amounts of dmg, while not having to go 100% glass cannon for it.

been playing quite a bit of spvp and tpvp with staff elementalist lately… its combination of alot of power and toughness… its masterfull, healing rain and geyser keeps so much people alive, while meteor shower gets so much people down.
Yes, elementalists are situational and i have to agree they require more skills then other professions atm, but kitten they can be fun to play

Excuse accepted Clover, we pistol-users are very open about our disadvantages.. Even though within the time i do 20k with conditions ive only done like 500 direct dmg which is kinda sad XD (not saying we aint strong though)
True about the short range feel of engineers .. At wvw i hoped rifle would feel sniperlike.. Disappointed

Pistol needs a small buff, but i think there are like 30 of these threads… arenanet probably will adress this, since it is an suggestion suggested by everyone, even people who dont play engineer or use different weapons.
Either we’d be forced a longer CD on our shield abilties in my opinion only reason pistol/shield works is because 99% of the time its combined with bombkit or grenade kit… in my honest opinion a p/s not using kits has the same problems as dual pistol

As first i thought.. Nice, randomness awesome and refreshing! Now that i have done alo of pvp and especially guild tournaments i dont agree anymore. What gw2 wanted to make is an pvp game which involves teamwork, strategics and timing. Random boons dont fit in this.. No matter how small the difference of a boon might be.. I have experienced that if you dont get the boon you hoped for, it actually kills you. At high skilllevel pvp quite alot depends on small factors. Sadly alchemist Engineers can make tactics or quick moves due to the fact that they dont know how their action will react or what will happen.
I would be happy with a random effet that depends on stuff like targets health, status or any other conditions and i know you Devs really think this makes the class interesting and want to keep his mechanic.
But please, even if you wont change it, do take an objective look at it,
Also.. Start fixing some elixers already.. How hard is it to change the text of Toss Elixer B.. And see what can be done at the trait that is supposed to reduce the cooldown of the toss elixers (those are elixer skills to)

A leaver is complaining about how he cant leave, in my opinion people should not only be put back in the match but also if they try to leave for 3 or more times. When the match ends they get leaverstatus and will be unable to join spvp for the coming 30 mins/1 hour.

Im not sure, turrets already look kinda cool. It could be small changes like at sylvari metal branches around the turretbarrel or at norn it would have a small wolves head as barrel or something like that… Certainly nothing more.. Would be way to weirdlooking and busy then. Would not “fit” in with alot of the other mechanical stuff with is proper and smooth wihout to much decoration.
