Tested this few times. Without Reckless Dodge bubble just pulls you back in. Probably all on-dodge traits work similarly.
If you have issues with enemies then kill them.
I will test this without reckless dodge today.
Save your frustration and use http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experimental_Teleportation_Gun to get out of cages.
Also extremely useful in other cases when someone gets stuck.
Anyways boss gets extremely easy when you pull it to other room.
Yep, no one seems to get any rings nowadays. Maybe on two chest-runs one player gets. And good luck with getting stats you want…
Looks like I won’t be doing Lupicus 10 mins any time soon.
Class with protection and projectile-reflects vs class with big health?
Rare gear should be enough for anything.
Either they troll or punish you. I would try make sure it won’t be latter. Your team may be bad and use bad tactics but you don’t always have to open your mouth. And even if you do, you should control what you say.
I have never been kicked out of dungeon. I have kicked one person right before end-boss because he was dragging team down and was ridiculously annoying. That’s my privilege for usually having couple of mates in team.
You just need to recognize animations for aoe-attack (hits fast on melee) and melee-attack (slow but 17k damage). So you need some reflexes (not sure how well you can use your second monitor).
If you have aggro, phase 2 is extremely easy to melee. Without aggro you need to bit watch for single-bolts.
I really don’t know what’s worse than people max-ranging easily melee-able encounters. Maybe that they are proud of it.
Or if you are a Warrior, just go melee (single-bot has minimum range).

It doesn’t matter whether you constantly deal damage or not. If I have to stop attacking 33% of fight and deal double damage that is still more than you can ever do.
And I can usually stay fighting all the time (especially if you consider ranged skills too). This is achieved simply with clever positioning and good dodges.

Lupicus fires SINGLE projectiles WITHOUT circles aswell. Watch them, dodge them.
The smoky things, yeah. They’re kind of hard to see but their range seems to be limited (less than 1200), so as long as the ranged players stay at maximum distance, they generally won’t be hit by those.
Do not know about that, I just dodge them as long as I have endurance available. Those do not one shot you unless he ate a few grubs, so it is not too bad even if you get hit.
Side-step to one direction, change direction. Saves endurance.
It is a different thing to just watch its hand than watch its hand and act accordingly.
Get big damage, and kill them before they kill you.
When one enemy hits more than your shouts heal together it’s bit funny. It is nice support but you really won’t save anyone (unlike projectile reflects/blocks).
Sure, you can survive quite well in full tank-spec but what then? You aren’t dealing any damage.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Best way to avoid AoE attack on phase 2 is two dodges and additional skill. Two dodges (or one dodge and one skill) should be fine if you wait bit before dodging. I have tried numerous times to survive with just one dodge but it is simply unreliable.
On less serious note, you had a warrior, why didn’t he solo it? :P
Orbs should beat every rune stat-wise (except Divinity). Up to you how much you value other effects (which you should, if not find another rune).
Needs 5 lasers.
Damage-wise power beats precision every time unless you have extremely high critical damage and power (with pow pre tou armor this doesn’t happen). Up to you how much you value on-crit effects.
Glass-cannon melee should be fine for every dungeon out there (excluding 30+ level fractals, not that far but estimate). Best thing you can improve is your dodging skills and positioning. This requires learning your enemies so expect problem in beginning.
To make it bit easier you should get toughness (which you have), some self-support (3 shouts with healing shouts and soldier runes is quite solid) and ranged-swap (which you have).
So all in all, dodge better.

And what would that prove? That game is easy? I don’t really get your idea when 5-sig build is just inferior to other options. There are no ifs or buts.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
5 signet is worse than 4 signet + FGJ!, and that’s just start of that slippery slope.
Just a little update. Swapped Endure Pain to Frenzy and did it in 13,5 mins.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Lupicus resetting right front of me.
Might have been patched. Haven’t done it for a while.
Quite hard to tell how to exactly get PoIs when you already got them.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Submarine: Go jump against wall before sub-marine arrives (cinematic, etc.). You may end up inside sub-marine.
Central POI: After laser-puzzle there are stairs. You can use leap (or get Experimental Teleportation Gun [wiki]) to jump down.
+ I don’t think anyone would pay 20g for this so I can quite safely say “Feel free to keep your money”
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
I guess all of us just aren’t enough legendary players. And I probably never will.
need an expensive revive orb…
Go to character selection screen before hitting ground.
Get Experimental Portal Gun (not sure if exact name).
Joined random team for P4. Two guys ran sparks. Nothing fancy. Quite easy.
Very boring this way because all you can do is hide in corner still while runners run.
Traps: If one person gets through he should move forward so they get disabled. If you want easy way go wait at door while others kill boss (or at 25%).
Big room: Hugging right allows you to pass them without aggro. Also even if you aggro I think you can keep going and jump down and they won’t follow. I also suggest keep hugging right and fight riflemen inside room (4 more will spawn and you will get sniped).
CM path 2 doesn’t go through that room. Anyways just whisper me if I’m on and I will help. Or you can check out my guides on http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?244 (HotW is missing)
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Looking for cross-region players.
Whisper me if you have soloed Lupicus. Prepare to show proof (video would be great, we can go to Arah too).
No need to represent.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Does killing P3 end-boss and receiving reward when doing any other path count as broken?
Pardon? Is this like the HotW feature?
Not exactly sure. P1 end-gate bugged so not sure if you can get both rewards. Killing P2 end-boss at least didn’t give anything after killing P3 end-boss.
Not exactly easiest exploit when you have to run on walls while Deadeyes snipe at you.
That’s old issue. Whoever enters dungeon first owns that instance (and character swap destroys). What I’m experiencing here is getting booted out of my own instance.
Update: I was soloing a dungeon. One guy sent me a party invite, I didn’t accept, I got booted.
Does killing P3 end-boss and receiving reward when doing any other path count as broken?
One issue with the Mesmer analysis is that you can’t really substitute Warrior’s shield 5 with Mesmer’s sword 4 or scepter 3 – those two attacks only block once in a chain, and doesn’t give the same mobility and complete duration blocking as Warrior’s GS 3 and shield 5.
Blurred Frenzy (sword 2) looks amazing skill to me.
Feedback and mimic do nothing on lupi his bolts/aoe.
I’m not surprised Feedback doesn’t work normally because projectiles start much higher. However, have you actually tried standing inside the bubble in melee-range?
@Wethospu.6437 Nicely done! Could you please share music track’s name playing in ur 2x speed video? Tnx.
Under Heaven, Music Shake, from youtube service. And thanks
Nope, no issue. The point is the balance and unbalance of some classes, and why this class can do it and not a necro, or a thief etc. Considering Robert is (not accordingly to Anet attitude we had on gw1) amazed of those solo fight, i’m still curious if he’s gonna fix every class to overpower them to be able to do the same , or get rid at all of solofights. I quoted him waiting his answer, not your pointless question of why i ask something. No offence.
You are worrying about solo-balance when every difficult content is group-content.
I haven’t really played Necromancer but there are plenty of situations where I wish I could do that too (like Well of Darkness).
Phase 1 is extremely easy on any class. You can do it with just auto-attack without taking any damage. Start of phase 2 can be extremely hard depending amount of Locusts. Clearing them when Lupicus is about ~76% makes it easier. Without Locusts phase 2 shouldn’t be a big problem. You need some skills to survive multi-projectile attack. Phase 3 is extremely hard with full focus. However minions/clones/etc should make it much easier.

Put let’s say 30 hours of planning and practicing this encounter. And then come complain.
Half vigor is more then my necro has, and not to mention only thing i have to soak damage is DS which lifeforce is really annoying to gain while in combat with a boss sometimes.
I really don’t know how Necromancer works but one week ago I thought this was impossible with Warrior. It took me some planning and testing to see what works (rifle + axe/warhorn, rifle + axe/shield, rifle + greatsword, axe/warhorn + greatsword, axe/shield + greatsword, sword/shield + greatsword, mace/shield + greatsword).
Would you mind sharing your build?!
If you want to know what aI use on video you should check video description.
If not, then I use mostly shouts and GS + Axe/Warhorn.
(edited by Wethospu.6437)
Actually, it is quite interesting this way.
Based on my experiences videos seem a lot more active with 2x speed while still being clear to watch (I used Windows Movie Maker for this).
Like that Lupicus solo video, watching 15 mins that at normal speed is just so boring.
Would be nice if it was possible for every classes though.
It probably is.
My roleplay experience consists of spamming stuff on /map and people telling me to shut up.
I guess I won’t qualify.

or he truly dream we call him a pro and knee on his feet when we meet him? The last clearly is the funniest and probably the main reason
That’s what people actually do to me (maybe not knee part). It’s bit funny!
Nice to see people trying to challenge themselves. Go teach Kholer a lesson or a two!
1) You can always skip Korga.
2) Keep Korga in one place so it doesn’t spawn too much.
If classes are balanced then classes with higher base stats should more likely take damage (=tank). If Agony affects them “equally” and one class gets it more likely then it is not balanced.
Yes, such a good idea for low HP classses. There is probably a reason why some classes have lower health pools.
I admit I didn’t read whole topic so has been probably mentioned.
1) Steep learning process
Story-modes should be more easier and more tutorial-like (like NPCs giving advice, they are Destinys Edge after all). Even better if featuring exp-mode mechanics.
2) Brute-force/faceroll should be less effective
Beating a boss without even knowing and using its mechanics feels bad and dull. For example that self-healing champion in SE2 should heal way faster and way more obviously forcing you to do something about it. And of course reduce maximum health to compensate.
3) Interrupts not very rewarding because of Defiant
Honestly, I never seen clever use of interrupts in pugs (or even in most non-pug) because it is simply not worth of it. Burning through five or more stacks to get a chance for interrupt require huge coordination which most of teams don’t have.
I’m suggesting Anger-stacks instead. Whenever boss gets interrupted it gets Anger-stacks based on what was interrupted (like 0-1 for interrupting nothing, 3-5 for a skill, 5-10 for something major). One stack gets removed in 3-5 seconds. After 10-15 stack boss gets CC immunity. I think this would make clever use of interrupts more rewarding and team-mates less likely screwing up you while still preventing CC-lock. Downside is you can’t burn through stacks but possible add with bit more complex system.
4) Thrash/Repeating fights
Every fight should be unique. Thrash monsters are fine but there needs to be something special about them (very different group composition for example).
Guess it’s time to solo lup with my necro
Please do that!
Very cool, but you could give me hope and impress me more by showing the same skills with a Mesmer. >_>
Unfortunately I don’t have much interest in leveling and gearing other characters. But don’t worry, I’m actually very jealous of Feedback.
fantastic work, got to love the vigor and 100% damage reductions with the shield skill. Very good job with the whole fight though.
Bit nitpicking but Signet of Stamina actually gives just half-Vigor.
