If it only spams shadow walk it should be really easy. It should take quite many of those before you run out of your defenses. Unless there’s like 0,5 secs delay. :P
Regards Arah, today I two-manned Arah P3 (actual goal was to practice against Lupicus, I can now solo first phase in 5 minutes and do phase 2 quite well).
It took hours of retrying and changing stuff but at least I know it now better.
And this is supposed to be one of the hardest encounters.
Truth is, game is not really that hard.

Focusing casters down seems to work fine.
I’m a Warrior and I don’t get immortal. Sure, I win if we compete who can longer afk against enemies. Warrior doesn’t have a real tank-spec (eles can bunker as far as I know).
I can do great damage but that’s pretty much it.
Difference between heavy and light armor is so small that your Full tank Elementalist should be more beefier than my glass-cannon Warrior. And I don’t get one shot.
And if you get downed as ele then what? Just run away.
My least favorite dungeon. Most of it just seems so dull and easy. Go in, smash your buttons, win.
I had a guy with Sigil of Luck. Asked whether he has mf gear or not (of course not!). But why would someone use Sigil of Luck if not for mf?
Anyways, he was disgrace to humanity. Seriously, standing few meters away refusing to revive people because it might be dangerous? Asked him to revive people and he said that he revives people by killing enemies. Ok nice idea but why I then spent 10 seconds reviving people under fire?
First time I have booted someone mid-run, and felt really good.
On Asura path you can hug left and never aggro anything.
On Butler path you can hug right (jump to rock) and never aggro anything.
Glitch or exploit have such a bad taste in mouth. Call it “creativity” instead.

I would wait few days and see if they actually fix it :P
Good idea but probably bit too late.
And why he targets banners! (not that it really matters)
Just soloed this on my war, the amount of “creativity” used…
Just skipped everything to second boss. Killed it without it even fighting back. WPed back and destroyed first barrier (stopped patrols). Killed first boss (inquest around were green for some reason). Destroyed barriers. Stacked stability to run through mine-field. Killed poison- and fire-golem without them even fighting back. Killed electric-golem. Killed Tazza without even fighting back. And then I won!
Took plenty of time to figure out how to but nothing really impressive.

AC: Tested Undead against first breeder in EXP, no noticable effect
CM: Tested Outlaw against rifleman in spike-room in Seraph Path, seemed to work
TA: Tested Nightmare against Nightmare-husk on EXP, seemed to work
SE: Inquest seemed to work against patrol in p1 (dredge had no effect), Dredge seemed to work against dredges

I like playing glass-cannon (well some defensive stats), but yeah that means some down-time if I mess up. About 10 seconds depending how fast I can get out of combat.
I haven’t really played signet-build but on paper it really looks crap. On top of buffing everyone else, removing conditions and having a stun-break I still pretty much do same damage than a signet war?

On phase 1: Endure Pain, Frenzy, FGJ!, Greatsword, Axe/Shield.
- I stay on side or back
- if Lupicus turns to me I know it is going to attack me (dodge)
- if I fail to dodge infection I run back to group so that I can safely give birth to a grub
- when phase 2 starts I run away to get out of combat
On phase 2: Endure Pain, Signet of Stamina, FGJ!, Rifle (rifle trait), Axe/Shield.
- I just keep shooting at range
- I keep side-stepping all the time to easily avoid single bolts.
- I usually spend one dodge on big AoE attack (wait a bit and dodge to free spot) (or hit Endure Pain/Shield Block)
- when phase 3 starts I run away to get out of combat
On phase 3: Endure Pain, Signet of Stamina, FGJ!, Greatsword (gs traits), Axe/Shield.
- I just keep hitting on melee
- Also I dodge attacks (or use Endure Pain/Shield Block)
Leader leaving kicking everyone is an issue which they have acknowledged. Until they fix that I just try to be that leader because I will finish the dungeon. I have had whole party rage-quit. Then I simply just got fresh blood and finished it in 10 mins.

Well, yes if they send you data about all players then you can read it. But what if they just send your data?
Yes, MF has place in dungeon. But that’s when everyone has agreed to let you run that crap.
I don’t really care about how much someone is dragging the team down. I care about how much they are intentionally dragging the team down.
I’m fine with reducing health of thrash if they get downed state instead. You can already burst stuff down quite well. Only issues are some champions and bosses.
Though Easy Mode would be another solution.
And plenty of defensive skills.
I think Underworld, though I may mix it up with something else.

The two know-it-alls that bicker over the “right” way to do things drag performance down more.
Decide plan before the encounter. Replace person refusing to cooperate.
The person that has never done the dungeon before, or forgets it drags the performance down more.
Guide him, if he refuses to learn then replace.
Mr. This-is-the-only-skill-set-I-will-ever-need drags the performance down more.
If he is intentionally running sub-optimal build and refuses to change (like axe traits when not even using axe) then yes replace him. I’m all for showing your build to everyone else, however there is always a chance that someone doesn’t understand your build. This doesn’t exist with MF.
The big-number obsessed “greatswords are the only weapon worth using” fanatic drags the performance down more.
You can suggest different weapon and replace if necessary. Whether a weapon is bad is a lot more complicated than just counting MF.
The casual player that doesn’t invest in maxing out gear drags performance down more.
If he runs green-gear with exotic-gear on inventory then yes replace him. Otherwise you can offer to buy him some gear.
The PvP nut that is dismisive of PvE content and is “slumming” because his “leet” guild took the night off drags performance down more.
Replace if not cooperating.
The player that just respeced to a new build but has not yet purchased a full set of gear to support it drags performance down more.
You can offer to buy him some gear.
Why all the hating on something as simple as magic find when there are far more severe issues out there?
Simply because it is an intentional choice and it never brings any benefit in any situation.
Every stats is anti-cooperative, I’ve never experienced the toughness or power on my armor buffing allies around me. All nit-picking aside, if the player is at least average in performance then it shouldn’t matter what gear they have.
Kill enemy who is killing your teammate, that’s cooperative.
Stay alive and keep aggro to protect teammates, that’s cooperative.
No, that’s just as stupid. If you invest in something, you should benefit from that investment. Show the proof that someone with magic find is automatically the worse person in a group or drop the argument.
MF replaces other stats, should be quite obvious.
You really can’t expect people to be good as you. However you should be able to expect them not to intetionally drag the team down.

I wish there was a dungeon where every encounter would be an overkill (similar to CoF 2 gate defend).
I don’t see any point in fights which are trivial.
MF-guy is dragging team-performance down so I guess party should know.
It is awfully short when people stay alive.
Elementalist, simply because they can one-shot certain bosses with Meteor Shower like the end boss of CoF path 2
One-shot a hard boss then I might agree.
Mesmers are below average in dungeons.
Understatement of the galactic year.
Half of the classes will be below average. Maybe if Mesmers were sickly OP that would be an understatement.

Just looking at equations won’t really tell you what is really happening. Sure, it is quite easy to calculate raw DPS. However when in melee there are times when you take too much damage and you have to reduce pressure for a while. My point is that pure glass-cannon DPS may not give highest DPS in real situation.
Also we are missing how much few beers actually affect your output. Rather important result, if you ask me.

Not sure if it was this patch or earlier but some map glitches fixed in CM.
Which leads me to believe all kind of funny stuff may happen without we even knowing.
I would love to have personal meters.
As said, just keep circle-strafing on melee and you never die. Even better if you control its direction away from teammates.
Just did this, NPC died all the time (even in end boss) and door still opened.
If you want a bad enemy that’s first Wolf Champion in CoE exp. Two non-telegraphed special attacks with 10-15k damage (which it may use in row).
Seriously only thing I have issues with.
Dungeon dream would be:
1 player with brains
1 player with brains
1 player with brains
1 player with brains
1 player with brains
I don’t really see the problem with representing/multi-guilds. If your guild has a rule to represent then kick people who don’t.
Actually I think bigger issue is all kind of buffs and upgrades which promote faceless masses. If prices of upgrades scaled with amount of members it would greatly favor smaller guilds.
I think multi-guild system would be awesome if you actually could represent multiple guilds (then you could make dungeon groups, etc).
Lupicus phase 2 targeted bolt: zig-zag.
At first I thought this topic was good but then I realized it is just another useless whine topic which brings nothing new to the discussion.
Simply either be ranged or melee. If melee stand together so your circles match, if ranged stay away from everyone to not overlap with anyone.
Difference is huge compared to normal PvE. However, normal PvE is just facerolling, nothing more.
I’m all for two difficulties (easier to allow people experience content and learn dungeons, harder for actual runs and rewards), however many dungeon paths can be done with just 2-3 guys (excluding parts with buttons, etc).
Well, going to wait until I can get awesome profit from Mad Moon shields I bought for 10g each.
Random single targets attacks are very easy. At about 600 range you can just zig-zag.
There is a reason why wiki is not accepted as a proper source. While usually suitable you have to be aware of its limitations. All kind of stuff is getting written, with and without scientific base.
There are plenty of exceptions which directly violate rules wiki is stating.
For example one hylek champion (sun-god or whatever) in Caledon Forest. I had aggro whole the time it was alive.
closest target to them: I was constantly running away, usually being one of the furthest player
who is dealing damage: I wasn’t even attacking the champion
top damage dealers: I wasn’t even attacking the champion
who is using a shield: I didn’t have shield
There is clearly something else.
To all of you who haven't gotten your Endless Tonics yet, my heart goes out to you

Opened about 2k for mine.
Yeah fun times, when Kholer was end of the world.
All content should be easy enough to need any special team-combo.
He also sent me a screenshot.
The thing is game doesn’t care about your personal skill when calculating your damage. This leaves us with 5 possible scenarions:
1) You are lying about your damage
2) He is lying about his damage
3) Different specs
4) Bug in damage calculation (while possible I haven’t heard any bug causing 5x damage on HB)
5) Critical hits and damage range (doesn’t cause 5x damage when comparing worst and best scenario)
If you normally deal 5k damage and you have about same build (you are not undergeared with pure defensive stuff, etc.) then he is lying or there is a bug, probably former.
Fun to get 6 tokens and 2 silvers.
I have been experimenting with the terrain and got quite close to the portal. However, there are still some obstacles to overcome.
