No we should all make copies of already existing threads. I’ll be getting right on that Anet!
It’s so hilarious when people say “There are already hundreds of threads about this!” but when someone actually posts in those threads they are like “y u necro this thread?”
Just hilarious.
It’s the fact you post in a dead thread for the sole purpose of bringing it to the front page without offering any new constructive opinion or criticism on the subject matter!!!
Or maybe I just want to discuss a certain topic that already has dozens of threads. And instead of making another exact copy of an existing thread I decide to discuss it in a place that already exists for this particulair subject to be discussed in.

My Thief: “Why didn’t you… DOOOOOOOOODGEEEEE!”
My Warrior: “This ruffles my Jimmy’s!!”
My Necromancer: “Meh”
My Engineer: “Don’t worry she’ll respawn at the WP any second now… aany second..”
My Mesmer: “Kinky…”
My Ranger: “No seriously, it wasn’t me!”
My Guardian: “Just use your freakin revive orb christ….”
My Elementalist: “Who the fudge is Belinda?”

Is deletion of the WvW forum next, like what happened to the WvW Matchup forum?
Would it make any difference?
Would the players notice any difference?
Guild Wars 2 is a PvE game anyway. PvP/WvW are just some small bonus gameplay modes.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I would like to see what this new back item looks like.
Like a bunch of chicory vegetables growing on your back.

If it bugs you that much, the perma hair kit does let you use all the new styles and colors, on all your characters new and old
Get it now for the low price of only 3000 gold

(which hasn’t been the case for months)

The entire game would turn into one big Obsidian Sanctum.
“So you want to complete that heart huh? Tough luck sucker!”
“So you want to complete this jumping puzzle? I don’t think so!”
“Want to sell some stuff to that merchant? How are you gonna do that when he is death?”
“So you think you can just spawn here and play the game? Very funny, now die!”I still have nightmares about a WoW PVP server I was on.
That kind of stuff can actually be really fun sometimes, but I totally get why people don’t want it, and I’m glad they keep it separate in GW2.
It is fun for the guy doing the attacking. Not fun for the guy who just wants to be left alone and do his thing.

I understand why anet makes them available only through kits since that is a great way of making money.
Yes it’s a way for them to make money. But it also fairer for older players. They didn’t have that face or hairstyle as a choice when creating their character. It’d be unfair for newer players to now have that option on character creation. By making them available only through a purchased kit, everyone has the same level of access to them.
That’s why the new hairstyles/faces/colors should be available in both kits and character creation screen.

I understand why anet makes them available only through kits since that is a great way of making money.
But I absolutely hate it. Before the new faces/colors/hairstyles showed up I took great care in making my characters. Often remaking them a lot, because what looks great in the character creation screen can look off in the actual gameplay.
Unfortunately that is impossible now. I can no longer experiment with character looks, I pick a look and if it doesn’t turn out the way I hoped I would have to spend money again to change it.
~Sincerely, Scissors
meh I hate this kind of exclusivity….
But I’m happy they plan to add more ways to obtain it.
People need to realize that Guild Wars 2 isn’t that kind of game. Where you have super exclusive stuff that only the leetest of the leet can wear.

I really hope I can get that backitem without crafting.

Srsly though, this is how the game should have been designed in the first place (in hindsight).
No it shouldn’t. Open world (non consensual) PvP is despicable. It’s just for sadistic people who want to gank, bully and harass others. You will have fun at the expense of others. This is not what Guild Wars 2 is about, this game is about cooperation and helping eachother out.
If this is going to be in a seperate server then fine, but it’s definitely not how this game should have been designed.

I’m beginning to see why you are being kicked from teams so often.

It’s no secret, that physical side of norns is simply outstanding. Their bodies may survive more, than bodies of any other living being of Tyria (except for dwarves), but Charr’s strength lies not in a single soldier. Charr’s strength, it’s fierce power and ferocity is heard in thundering guns and and war machines. The Marching Charr army is making the earth itself tremble.
Discipline, duty, loyality. Victory at all cost.
This explains it all. A Norn could win in 1v1. But Charr don’t do 1v1, they fight in huge armies and with large war machines. Norn on the other hand always fight alone because, and I qoute, ‘we are norn’. Which can pretty much be translated to “we’re not playing with a full deck”.

The “macros are not allowed” is a blanket statement designed to protect Anet.
Yes, these instrument macros are not allowed.
But is Anet going to do anything about it? Very unlikely, since it’s not harmful to the game.
But hey, feel free to report the player if that makes you feel good and righteous
spot on!
~Sincerely, Scissors
Macros are not allowed, unfortunately.
Imo using macros should be ok to use as long as you don’t use them to get a personal advantage. But afaik, they are not.I’d love to use my auto click macro to sell stuff if I have a full inventory, or if I have to use a ton of consumables.
Anything that gives AN ADVANTAGE of one player over another is not allowed. Your one click WOULD give you an advantage – hence it is not allowed.
How does me selling my junk to a vendor quicker give me an unfair advantage over other players? Or drinking my karma jugs in 10 seconds instead of in 10 minutes?
In order for me to have an advantage over other players, there need to be some sort of competition first. It’s not like whoever empties his inventory first wins. What do I care if someone is able to sell his/her stuff faster than me?

There is plenty of group content to go around.

Imagining Bobby sitting in his office, a flower in his hand, picking off the petals:
“We kill him…”
“We kill him not.”
“We kill him…”That’s exactly how it happened.
bobby clearly used a 4 leaf clover, trusting that its lucky nature would lead him to make the right decision
“We kill him not.”
“We kill him”
“We kill him not.”
“We kill him”
Yep the right decision has been made!
~Sincerely, Scissors
I wouldn’t mind dragging around Trahearne in an effort to get him killed.
lol, poor Trahearne. The man’s the most hated being in all of Tyria, and his only sin is not being a kitten.
And stealing all the glory
And being boring (imo)
And the terrible voice acting.. when he talks he just sucks all the atmosphere out of the moment.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Nope definitely not. Because that would mean almost every interesting character will die and only the villains stay alive.

Phishing mail from 'Arena Net'
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Windu The Forbidden One.6045
This is not a phishing e-mail. How can you tell? It does not ask you, nor take you to a page that asks you, to provide account-sensitive information. (Even the reset process only asks for your e-mail address and nothing else.)
You can verify that you’re on an official page by carefully reading the URL and noting that it is going directly to our account management section.
I commend the care with which you review e-mails, but in this case, with these exact links and requests, you can rest assured this one is ok.
Alrighty then. My apologies for the false alarm

Phishing mail from 'Arena Net'
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Windu The Forbidden One.6045
I recently send an email to Arenanet about an infraction I think was injustified (this thread is not about that, so please don’t delete). In response I recieved an email that looks very much like phising scam:
Hello,
We are sending this automatic update because you indicated in your ticket that your Guild Wars 2 account may have been compromised or hacked. Generally, a game account is compromised as the direct result of the compromise of the e-mail account associated with the game. In the case of Guild Wars 2, that would mean the e-mail address you use to log into Guild Wars 2 and its password may be known by a hacker.
In order to ensure the security of both your Guild Wars 2 account and your e-mail account, you should immediately take the following steps:
1. Obtain anti-virus software, make sure it is updated with the latest files, and do a full scan of your system for viruses and key-loggers.
2. Change the password on your e-mail account. The new password should be one you have never used anywhere else.
3. Change the password on your Guild Wars 2 account. That new password should be one you have never used anywhere else and should not be the same as your new e-mail password. You can reset your Guild Wars 2 password by entering your e-mail address here: https://account.guildwars2.com/reset-password
If you still have concerns about the security of the e-mail account that you used to submit this ticket, you may wish to create a new ticket using a completely different e-mail account. If you do so, please reference the number of this ticket in the subject line of the new one that you create.
We look forward to helping you, and an agent will reply with more information as soon as possible.
Normally I’d just delete this because this very much looks like phising scam. One reason is because I never submitted a ticket about my account being compromised and second they ask for my password (which Anet staff would never do).
What concerns me though is that this is a reply from a mail I sent directly to forums@arena.net which could mean that it did come from anet after all.
Is there a noble soul out there willing to shed some light on this subject?
~Sincerely, Scissors
Well I’m the Boss too and I want her to stay.
You didn’t even want to be the boss so you have no right
Also she IS a child.
~Sincerely, Scissors
OMG! Chocolates!!!
So cute. How did you get that expression?
~Sincerely, Scissors
Agreed, if there’s going to be a new race at some point, it should recieve the full treatment. New capital, personal story, starter zone and cultural armors are all necessary.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Thank you
~Sincerely, Scissors
…and you can believe what ever you want, i dont rlly care, the point is, I am right.
LOL!
Its funny when people try to end differences of opinions by trivializing their opponents’ and just say “I’m right, you’re wrong.”
Thank you for that laugh.ok then, ill say you are right, im wrong, i have no idea what im talking about, i dont have any info on what is coming up. you win
Told ya so, It may not have been a huge new map but i told you I had info on a new map. And there it is, a new small map. I had the leak on the map, just not the size.
Not picking a side here, but this isn’t really a discussion anyone can win. If I understand correctly, the whole debate was about ‘something big’ coming on July 1st. And ‘something big’ is entirely subjective.
~Sincerely, Scissors
I like my insta travel, go away, no one is forcing you to use them.
Pretty much /thread right there.
If the OP doesn’t like it, don’t use it. Let the people who have more things to do use the waypoints.
~Sincerely, Scissors
BY AZURA BY AZURA BY AZURA! It’s Scarlet, I can’t believe it’s you standing here next to me. I’m going to follow you and watch you and worship the ground you walk on!
Ok all jokes aside,
I doubt Anet would kill a child in a game that is rated PEGI 12.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Grenth is the God of Death and ice now, not Dhuum.
Or at least he was in gw1, the portals in Queensdale could mean Dhuum broke out and regained his power (Don’t qoute me on that though).
~Sincerely, Scissors
I disagree with the OP: I think mobs should have really challenging mechanics, including stuff that punishes you for attacking, so that we have to learn to do something other than auto-attack.
Is there another way to kill mobs besides attacking them?
I guess I could try to talk them to death, or play some Justin Bieber on my Super Boom Box, but other than that…
~Sincerely, Scissors
Because video games are about having fun, not being as ‘l33t’ as possible.

Lasers shouldn’t make any sound at all. So any sound that is made can be chalked up to any other piece of technology in the gun that helps it function.
There shouldn’t be any sound in space battles either, but can you imagine how boring space battles in movies/games would be if there was no sound at all? :P
~Sincerely, Scissors
Yes post your tactics on the forum for all to see.
That will help you dominate your enemies

How, exactly, do you make the jump from hating autism to deciding to shut down a datacenter? I don’t understand.
Because some people are just mind-numbingly stupid.

Again, being the tip of the spear doesn’t equate to leadership. You can’t be the boss if you don’t display some measure of leadership.
I decided wether Braham or Rox had to go with the Caravan.
There is your measure of leadership
Now lets us enjoy something that a large part of the community has been asking for ever since the first people completed PS. You don’t like it, that’s fine, just ignore it. A group of warriors just call you Boss, nothing more. Don’t make such a huge problem out of nothing.
I don’t mean to be rude but It’s in the game now, the die is cast. Deal with it.
Or you can always hope that all the biconics die
