Sorry ANet, but no one wants to wait months to get a paragraph-ish of lore and plot development. Movies can go on for months inbetween but they are their own plots more or less anyways.
^This. Gone are the days of expansions, where we get a ton of new lore at once and it actually takes time to get through it. Now we get tiny pieces of content we rush through in a few hours.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Old topic. Never get tired of +1 it though. Less coats for medium plz.
And the topic will keep popping up until the demands are met
~Sincerely, Scissors
I agree, the tiny unique in the description is just not enough warning. Besides, they aren’t even unique, everyone and their mother has the same trinkets, so much for being unique..
I was lucky enough to have found out before I made the same mistake by reading the forums, but there should be plenty of warnings in game.

It’s free as in: they didn’t pay money for it. Free doesn’t mean there’s no effort involved, at least not in this case.

Once you have 5 characters maxed out, I’m sure you can make more than enough money to buy some extra slots.

This event is much more profitable for the time spent than farming either of those locations.
^this. And the queensdale champ farm is not even for money, it’s for xp.
~Sincerely, Scissors
You are blatantly insulting farmers by calling them greedy, lazy and ignorant. I hate to break it to you, but farming is necessary in MMO’s. Money doesn’t grow on our backs. And don’t come with “I thought it was about having fun?” Because maybe for some people, making a lot of money is fun?
Anet made an event that is highly profitable, especially if you focus on the champs and loose the event. Of course people farm it, you do the most profitable thing. This is a design flaw and thus anets fault, not the players. I agree that anet should make winning the event more profitable than loosing it, but it simply isn’t, so people naturally don’t care about winning.
Why should I try my best to win if I loosing is more profitable?
~Sincerely, Scissors
First I’d go to every map and see where you are still missing a waypoint. Anet added several waypoints because of guild missions so a map you might have explored earlier might be missing a waypoint now.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Wow, your asura looks kitten.
Edit: Thank the censor system for ruining my compliment. anyway, your asura looks amazing
~Sincerely, Scissors
It depends on wether what ears you got and wether you are female or male. T3 light armor is the only asura armor that actually has a difference between male and female.
~Sincerely, Scissors
This is one of those situations where the story is just bad. You save your sister (YOUR SISTER) and after that you never hear from her again, ever. You only see her once, and ONLY if you follow a specific mission path (one I did not pick because I had no idea) and if you pick that mission, she barely even talks to you.
The story in guild wars 2 has so many loose ends. I would say it’s not deep enough, but in fact it’s so shallow it actually can’t be called a story at all.
~Sincerely, Scissors
It’s quite difficult, Divinity’s Reach is a big city after all. I suggest staying away from Kryta, that would eliminate the chance to suddenly waltz in there.
Yes it’s a terrible joke, but I could not resist ^^

Charr don’t believe in such human magical nonesense.
This magical nonsense wiped their armies out at ascalon (foefire) and is killing them even to this day (ghosts). You would think this made the human legend at least more plausible.

I agree, the addition of ascended weapons was done terribly. It was the last straw that completely killed whatever was left of their manifesto.

Well you kinda just hung yourself there with this paragraph didn`t you. It`s ok for me to have something I like as long as it conforms to your rules. Talk about juvenile.
Actually no. Being able to hide mounts was your suggestion as a compromise for people that don’t want to see them. I was agreeing with that idea but I guess you forgot that in your haste to try to prove yourself right. I then once again stated that I do not want to see them. Look hero, people that don’t want to see mounts have just as valid reason as those that do. You say people that don’t want mounts just don’t want others to have them. Well that goes both ways. People that want mounts are trying to force them on people that don’t want them. People that don’t want to see them. See how that works?
It’s obvious that you think you are on some great crusade when really you are just bashing keys for something that most likely will never happen. So you keep doing what you are doing and I’m going to get back in game, a mount free game. I have not played in a while and have some things I want to do, without mounts.
I’ll revisit this thread when there are mounts in the game so I can give you credit for all your hard work.
You what I don`t like to see? Big gals squeezing into spandex pants! Do you think it would be rude or mean of me to walk up to one and tell her she`s not allowed to wear it because I don`t wanna see that? Or just keep it to myself like I do now and look the other way? Same thing applies here.
I also really didn`t need to prove myself right, you did that for me. The noose is getting tighter lad.
As a matter of fact one of my favorite songs is called Crusader by Saxon from back in 84! Crusader! Crusader! cplease take me with you! The battle lies far to the east!
While I don’t really need cosmetic mounts myself, I won’t go against it. It would indeed be extremely arrogant to deny other people mounts simply because I do not want it.

I liked the part up until lvl 20, where it was actually about you, the player. After that it went down hill.

Because of “Oh my, you can kill children in this game! How embarrassing!”. And yes, those people WILL fail to see difference between children and undead children.
For some reason people always fail to see the difference between real children and computer programs that look like children (npc’s). I never understood what the problem is with having killable children in a game, yet killing/slaughtering every other living thing is acceptable.
I blame Scarlet. She was too soft to put bombs next to kids. If we saw kids dead in Queen’s Jubilee, we might actually take her more seriously.
They don’t need to actually show kids dead on the ground. Just have a bomb go off next to them, and the kids disappears (e.g. blow up to pieces). So they can keep the teen rating and dark theme from GW1 preserved.
Keep in mind that many kids died in The Searing. Many kids died to Afflicted. The White Mantle would have killed everyone (including kids) in Beetletun if we didn’t stop them.
Yet another thing that baffles me, killing kids in video games is fine as long as you don’t actually see it for some reason.

Absolutely no point in adding mounts.
There`s no point in adding boxing gloves, plush backpacks , and bunny ears but yet there they are.
Oh ok so simply because they added useless stuff before they might as well do it again? That makes perfect sense..
I have no problem with cosmetic mounts, if anet wants to add those be my guest. But mounts like in wow (for travelling) are useless, there’s a waypoint around each corner..
Sure it would be nice to ride around on the back of a cool mount, but I just don’t see it happen anytime soon, apart from some minor mounts maybe (like the broom).

It’s because the Asura and Sylvari are both located in Maguuma. The cultural weapons are based on drops. Glyphic weapons come as fines and masterworks, and are fairly common, while Verdant weapons are rare. It wouldn’t really work if sometimes you found fine or masterwork plant weapons, or rare magitech weapons.
That still doesn’t explain why asura have sylvari cultural weapons (and vice versa) while those weapons are not part of the culture. If they sell sylvari weapons, fine, but those weapons are not part of their culture.
Culture weapons aren’t weapons of a nearby race you just pick up and decide to sell, culture weapons are weapons that reflect the culture of the race that sells it. This obviously isn’t the case here.
The far more likely cause is that anet never got around to making a third set of cultural weapons for sylvari and asura and did this instead.
~Sincerely, Scissors
When anet stated during Eurogamer there wouldn’t be anymore zones, a part of me died.
~Sincerely, Scissors
For some reason the Sylvari sell Asura Cultural Weapons. It’s been this way since launch. My guess is they only made 2 cultural sets for sylvari and asura (instead of 3) and quickly filled it with a cultural set from eachother.
A lazy “fix”.

Both the Asura forums and Lore forums seem to be fitting for this question.
Anyway, to your question.
The Asura have their own language from when they were underground, but quickly adapted to the “common” language, so there are very few instances of the Asura language used. There are only two cases of the Asura language being seen.
The first, and most familiar, is the term Bookah. The second is the Asura banners on the Asuran Beacon.
Before their surfacing, the Asuran language was half-mathematical and half-structured.
What you see below is a sample of the Asuran language, It translates into Line 1: qwa umza lagee wan Line 2: o kwa tanzin wan

The chick who says this rose has thorns has a hot voice.
That would be Jennifer Hale, she voices both the female Sylvari characters and Queen Jennah.

Even if you unequip the shoulders on a male Asura THEY STILL FREAKING SHOW UP!
Yep, had that same problem when they temporarily gave female asura the male version. Apparantly the shoulder skin is merged with the chest skin. It’s really sloppy.

Don’t like using real money to look cool? Convert gold into gems. But just know your gem purchases fund anet’s developers to dish out more cool updates so it’s not like its going to waste.
Actually, your gem purchases go straight to NCSoft (why do you think this cash cow is there in the first place?) if their annual report was anything to go by.
Indeed, the money goes to NCSoft, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they use most of it for Wildstar.

By the way, WvW is players fight against players, instead of players fight against ai. So, please don’t play the trick on the PvE definition. The main point is that it can be a form of competitive play.
While I agree with you, Anet regards it as part of PvE (for reasons beyond me). So officialy, it is pve. But I agree that’s nonsense, wvw = pvp plain and simple.
Oh and one more thing, this graphic is only one and a half months old, not a year.

That official anet statistic show how many profession was created, not how many are being actively played. Arheundel was definitely right, you live in denial.
Nope, you just don’t know what you are talking about. Maybe if I was a PvP player, but I’m not because PvP is boring. And the OP was mainly talking about WvW, which is officialy part of PvE (I don’t agree with that, but that’s how it is)

Absolutely no point in adding mounts.
That’s not a very good reason to oppose the idea.
Here there is no point in half the stuff they add to the game, yet here it gets added and you say nothing to it on the contrary.
If there is no point in adding something, lets do away with Plush Moto Backpack Cover’s, Bunny Ear’s, and Fuzzy Quaggan Hat’s and everything else on the Style tab of the gem store.
While we are at it we can get rid of all the musical instruments and boom boxes.
Lets not forget the toys like Kites and Riding Broom(which is a cosmetic mount all unto itself and yet none of the naysayers disagreed with its introduction).
Hey those Mini Pets they have no useful purpose to game so lets nix them as well. There is no real reason in having 50 different sword Skins or armor skins, we all can use the same skin on all weapons and armor since they all do the same thing anyway, so get rid of all that clutter.
Achievements, why would you need those you have nothing to show that you done anything in the game now, so let get rid of those, and since they are gone lets get rid of the Title’s as well.
Your version of the game is very very boring. Thanks for taking away a need to even play the game.
Wow thanks for the lecture and the insult. Serves me right for voicing my opinion. I’m just impossible really, people can’t take me anywhere.
In all seriousness though, thanks for writing all that, I needed a good laugh.

So yes, we are in all our rights to demand these things after more than 1 year of gameplay and seeing every class get buffs and getting stuff working out for them.
As an engineer player I have to say stop complaining. Oh boo hoo; you have it about half as bad as we do, and not even for as long. Cry me a river and get in line.
lets see;
bunker engi, condi engi, tool engi, burst engi (granted, not as effective), ca stack 25 mights on its own quickly, can stack vulnerability quite good for himself too.
Do you seriously, seriously believe your class is that bad or are you that bad that cant play any of that well?
Do you guys seriously argue over who has it worse? :P

I’m sure that the devs are already aware of this situation…like the majority of the GW2 community, including the part that still lives in denial.
This completely killed your argument. Correct me if I’m wrong by all means, but to me it basically comes down to: Everyone with a different opinion is wrong

The neck piece still bothers me to no end on Female T3 so I can’t get that either and apparently switching to Male won’t do any good either? Blah.
I know what you mean. I hope one day Anet will actually fix the armor without giving us the male version.
