I really like the accessories, the only problem here is not being able to dye them correctly.

I am personaly not a WoW fan, or something that is near that. But their idea, that you will have something to hate on, to creat a bonding with others, is pretty great, both in lore and in the fun of the game.
I mean, the guild vs guild itself, would make guilds wanting to become the top and actually creating “conflict” against eachother, which one is best, who will we face, and are they stronger than us, who is the main guild we dont want to fight, who is with us and against us etc. It would make it more interesting in EVERY part of the game.
Thoug, gotta admit that there are a few people out there, who do not want a system like this.
But it does not matter, A-net already noticed us, that they will not make any of this possible, since they dont want the feeling that I can see your name, and know that it is you whom I am after, to kill.

It devides the community, no matter what side you pick you always automatically make enemies and people will hate and insult you at every chance they get (Yes people really go that far, happened in wow as wel). Another reason I don’t like this is because it will likely come with open world pvp (Which I hate with a burning passion, but that’s another subject).

I really like the way it is now, everyone working together and helping eachother instead of constantly competing over every single thing (In PvE of course). And for those that do like to compete with players, there’s always sPvP and WvW.

I’ve always been the type of guy who likes playing with, not against, people. In a way, I see Gw2 as a singleplayer game running in Co-op mode.

There is a HUGE difference between the male and female version, I’m surprised you don’t know, my character was forced to walk around with it for a month when anet “fixed” it. It has a different helmet (huge rubbery ear flaps) and a clipping issue with the legs.

And if that wasn’t enough, their fix also included making the pauldrons ONE with the chest, so you couldn’t dye them seperately, it looked ridiculous.

Absolutely not, it’s pretty much the only reason why most people do them at all. Being able to play every day is an achievement as well, wether you like it or not.

Normally I would be all for it. I even made a thread about this a while back and eventually anet decided to “fix” it. But they fixed it by giving us the male version, which is even more broken than the female version. Not to mention, T3 light is the only asura armor that actually has a difference between male and female.

Luckily they changed it back after getting a lot of negative feedback. But still, I rather have no shoulders than the male version.

If Anet is willing to really fix this armor, I agree with you 100%. But if anet’s only fix to this problem is giving us the male version, then please, leave it the way it is.

^This. We’ve had almost a year of LS now and we still have the same zones, races, professions, weapon types, the list goes on. Sure we got some nice content, but it was either temporary or nothing tangible.

We haven’t revealed her motive yet. I can understand the confusion and/or frustration surrounding that so we’re looking at ways to accelerate the plot and implement some features that will make it easier to track Living World content. What’s wrong with doing the quests? That’s not a grind. Not to mention the 1-20 quests are actually fun.

Getting legendaries and ascended weapons, that’s a grind. (and some people even think getting those is too easy)

How to get a free new hairstyle:

Delete main (or one of your other characters) after backing up any non-soulbound items.
Create a new character of the race in which you would like the new hairstyle.
Explore the game again and on a brand new level 2 character (20 with booster).

Doubt rolling a new character will net you these styles. Though you are right. You will get a change. Just probably not the one you were hoping from if it’s in this new palette.

These new hairstyles will most likely only be available by using hairstyle kits, just like the hair colors.

That will completely burn them out, I want more meaningfull content but.. this seems a bit overkill.

Making a playable race would involve making:
-The race itself (models, animations, sounds, voices)
-Create a personal story for them (lvl 1-20 quests)
-Give them an appropriate starter area and capital.
-Create racial skills
-Create cultural armor/weapons
-And god knows what else..

This is the perfect opportunity for anet to make some serious money, no way we get a free change :P

This could be a nice solution. It would give hardcore pvp players something to do without harming pve players (like me), since they can just stay in the normal servers. Unfortunately, it has been suggested many times already, I don’t see it coming anytime soon.

Guild Wars 2 is a PvE game, with some pvp as a bonus. Just the way I like it. But I can understand the frustration for pvp/wvw players, the game could use some more pvp/wvw content.

What’s the point in adding permanent content if you are going to remove content at the same time….

I wouldn’t have used the word entitled. I would use the word naive.

This wasn’t a presentation to Guild Wars 2 fans who haunt forums. It was a presentation to people who have might have never bought the game and who might want to at a convention.

Companies have target audiences for their messages. This forum was NOT the target audience of this presentation. Of course it was underwhelming. It wasn’t meant to give YOU information, it was meant to give information to people who knew nothing or next to nothing about the game.

So entitled is probably the wrong word. It doesn’t mean, however, that people that are complaining that a presentation to the general public doesn’t contain stuff for them are in the right.

That I can agree with. My main gripe with the presention was how they dodged almost every question.
