I would like this for Skyham
Just because a vocal subset of players hate it and posts on the forums continually doesn’t mean that the general population dislikes it.
The majority of the population that likes this map are those who hot-join or play some sort of knock-back professions. It really is a good feeling to the casual player to go up to someone and instantly kill them.
Anyone who takes PvP somewhat seriously will realize that this does not have a place in a competitive queue. The profession imbalance is 100x that of other maps.
They’re both unbalanced.
The reason why people don’t complain about Capricorn though is because it wasn’t in SoloQ.
I think both maps have a place in hotjoin. At least a drain-water version of Capricorn.
Haven’t had a game that ended in a 5v5 in well over a month.

I just afk. I don’t main decap engi / mesmer / fear necro etc.
I have better things to do. Like check my email. Clip my nails. Stair at the one painting on my wall. Flip on my television and see if there is anything good on the one channel I get. Browse imgur. Go pee. Browse forums. Get a snack.
I feel this needs to be reposted.

It embodies all that is wrong with Skyham.
Who cares after the feature patch.
Respect for player rank has vanished. The only time it was relevant was pre-feature patch with dedicated PvP-ers that you know didn’t skyham farm.
Now everyone and there mothers are rank 80. It’s not a special title. It’s not a special finisher.
Some changes are obvious.
They don’t need months to figure out.
COUGH STRENGTH RUNES COUGH*
that is all
Gravity is such skill.
Llama mini reward track.
That is all.
I just log onto my rifle warrior and see how many people I can 1 – shot.
They really need to push out seasons, or other forms of incentives for team queues. Get the already low PvP population to form teams and get better at PvP. Only then will these tournaments be worth watching with at least some form of competition outside of the top 4/8.
This community. Just wow…
It’s a game. Raging over a 2-3 week delay on your pixels will seem silly to you in the future.
Add it as a 1-time reward track in sPvP.
The good PvP teams will likely have to win one game to obtain the mini-pet. The community will have to spend many hours/days (depending how much you play) to obtain the pet.
I haven’t played WvW much at all since the alliance between JQ and TC.
Every week we would avoid the other server just to gang up on BG, completely ignoring the other server. This made it extremely boring for me.
The sad thing is… the difference between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd is 50 token increments. I’d rather come 3rd in the tournament and have good fights… rather than a 2v1 where we only fight one server and achieve 1st place.
Please, please remove seasons. Make weekly matchups more rewarding. Perhaps weekly achievements (if they can be implemented properly) and the servers get 50, 40, 30 tokens based on how they do?
I want good fights. I want an incentive to win. I don’t want the massive imbalances and burnout that seasons bring.
Enter skyham portal.
Immediately get knocked off because some kitten is just spamming knockbacks, not knowing wtf is up.
Remove this kitten. Please.
My inventory resizes every time I log into GW2.
It’s been happening for awhile, probably since the feature patch.
Remove it.
Now.
Please.
People just don’t give a kitten. This map has the most non 5v5s
I’ve never been in a (SoloQ) match where someone did not complain about the map.
Most of these posts are hilarious.
It’s not cheating. It’s not exploiting.
“JQ if you don’t push into TC right now, I’m going to report you for cheating!”
The game is 1v1v1. Three teams allows several teams to gang up on the larger server so no one can rule everything.
That being said. I hate it. I understand why it’s happening, but it’s going to the extreme now. A 2v1 for 9 weeks straight against 1 server is annoying. I only get half the amount of fights. Less people are queueing now too.
Tournaments should be done away with. There should be better rewards for doing well within your tier. 2v1s should happen at the tail end of the week to make a final push for first place. This doesn’t happen though because PPT is meaningless.
I thought for sure the removal was coming in the feature patch. It would have been the best part of the patch…
Enemy team had 3 engis. Our team gave up after 30 seconds for obvious reasons.
PvE players would buy the tag and not turn it off, just like the commander tags.
I applaud anyone w/o CC that’s successful on this map.
This would have been the best part of the feature patch if they would have taken it out.
Do they drop from region or dungeon paths? Or both?
If it’s working as intended…
It should be changed to 3 armor pieces per path, with 1 weapon at the end. Complete the track 2 times over and you have a full set of PvE armor (except if you dual wield).
I agree with all the hate posts here.
They’re bringing PvP down a few notches so it’s in line with PvE/WvW.
Not that it was in a great state to begin with. They’re slowly taking away what was great about the Mists – freedom.
You can’t buy the game and PvP as you would like, too. With that being said, most of the new GM traits are garbage so it’s almost okay.
You used to.
It’s been answered.
Dev’s response “Level up. You don’t need cosmetic shoulder/head piece to PvP”
And what of all those character slots we purchased for the sole intention of pvp’ing? Multiple characters of the same profession that we need to unlock traits and level?
I can’t really add anything more to what has already been said, but feel free to continue posting feedback in one of the threads regarding character-bound unlocks. We are listening.
Translation vent until you eventually realise it is futile and cough up them gems
I’m considering deleting my level 80 Norn warrior, because I PvP on an Asuran alt. By the time I’m done getting the traits on the Asuran, he’ll be level 80. Not point having two warriors at max level. Plus I need the extra character slot….
Helmet + shoulders are sold in the mists for like 5 silvers total.
One hotjoin win is 13.5 silver. One game and you have it.
PvP-ers are mad because a lot of our PvP characters are level 2. We also delete + create new characters all the time. You cannot get shoulders til at least level 10.
“You can play from level 1, you only need chest, legs, and boots as they are the only gear that count toward armor rating.”
What happened to “You can jump in and do PVP right away as soon as you finished the tutorial”?
What was the point in merging PvE and PvP like this?
I don’t follow what you mean. You will only be missing some cosmetic only gear, this should not be a barrier to entry in any way.
You’re slowly taking away items that were once accessible to all in PvP and gating them behind barriers. Cosmetic gear slots, traits, skills, amulets etc…. People want everything to be unlocked upon entering the mists. That’s why they’re upset.
lol
go to the armorsmith in heart of the mists.
They don’t sell shoulder skins.
yes they do.
Hop on your level two alt and go see.
Chest, leg, and boot are used. You’re fine without a helmet, shoulders, or gloves.
Can you explain the reasoning why we have to level up now to get our old ‘looks’ back?
Why can’t there be lvl 1 shoulders/helms etc at the vendor?
I’m taking screenshots right now. People w/ Twilight in middle swirling around on everyone. You can’t see for crap. Not that it was good before… but now kitten …
I can only imagine those greatswords on norns. They should have the blade trails removed from PvP. I really, really hope they’re banned from tournaments.
you can buy lvl 11 shoulders from the trading post
I dread when I queue up tonight, and face legendary greatswords and’t cant see kitten for weapon skill animations.
lol
go to the armorsmith in heart of the mists.
They don’t sell shoulder skins.
Given the dev’s attitudes lately, I’m sure one of them will come in here and justify spending 10+ tomes of knowledge to unlock your shoulder slot.
I just did around ~12 matches of solo/team queue today. 11/12 matches had a player above the rank 55.
Dragon finishers will be common except for, maybe, hotjoins.
This will not be a rare finisher. If you PvP regularly, you will see dragon finishers constantly.
I think it’s a great move, but does have it’s cons. I’ve become obsessive, trying to complete every single daily each day. Often times I wouldn’t have time to enjoy the living world content. Now, I won’t feel bad for missing a few achievement points a day.
The bad: so we’re going to stop progressing when we reach 10k dailies? What about after that…? IMO either put daily cap on achievement points (5 in PvE, 4 in PvP), or have the “experience bar” system like you do in PvE, and soon in PvP, where you’ll get rewards every time you level up. IE 100 AP = X reward at the 10k mark.
Grouch can you give a vague idea of who will be future dragons (60, 70+)??!?
ALSO with the change to jewels, will I still be able to run soldier zerker, or carrior rabid or whatever?Everyone in the upper mid 50’s and up will become a Dragon!
For most players this will make attaining the rank of dragon a realistic goal and for a very small percentage of players,
A small percentage of players? The majority of the time as a rank 40, I’m pitted against rank 50+ in soloQ’s, often being the lowest rank in the game. This is definitely not a goal for a “small percentage of players”. Dragons will be everywhere.
Upper 60s sounds like a more reasonable number. Achievable by people that play for ~1.5 years (not that bad for the most prestigious item currently in PvP)
The more that I think about this, the more questions come up.
Will I be in my PvE or PvP gear when I enter the mists? Will the PvP locker remain? If not, will I have to lug around every single PvP weapon that I use in my inventory? Will I have to transmute skins to the free PvP base weapons?
The way that I HOPE this works is your PvP locker is still there. But if you wanted to use a skin that’s only obtainable in PvE, you’ll have to transmute it onto your PvP gear.
I don’t get why there are people mad about this change. If you wanted to change your appearance in game, you’d have to buy transmutation stones and make several pieces of gear into one. With the wardrobe, you can now collect infinite-use skins, and use them on your gear for the same transmutation charges (just a new name). No more “throwing away gear”.
The only bad thing about this change are people who bought multiple skins either in-game, or on the gem-store. While some compensations may be deserving here, I think the wardrobe feature will be widely appreciated by everyone in-game.
I would hope the PvP lockers are turned into Wardrobes as well. If they try to monetize you changing skins in PvP… they’re going to kill off the playerbase even more.
Plus it’s going against their goal of trying to make PvP more rewarding. Charging me to change skins???? just no…
Hmm wonder if it will be possible to transmute light armor looks onto a heavy armor character. Don’t think it mentions any restrictions to the system other than it costing charges.
I was also wondering this…
99.99% sure it’s going to be like the PvP locker.
You can’t.
