The schedule to me is a bad idea. That guilds can open the event is great but the guilds I do the big events with do not have any influence or merits since people just rep when the event is on. That mean they either need to get people to give gold to get influence then farm merits or just disband, which to me is not very healthy.
Others have also hit on that if your real life does not fit the game schedule you are out of luck. At least now you can miss a big event and still catch the next one, after this goes live you are SOL.

The traits are being completely re-done. The number of points, what they do, everything. They will be reset.

But all games have abysmal loot. It’s the only possible way desirable loot is desirable – because it drops rarely. If it dropped all the time, it would be worthless (lots of supply) and people would complain about the abysmal loot.

Exactly this. They could have precursors drop much more often and people would complain that there was nothing worthwhile in game. The general impression I get is when people say they want better loot in game they mean only for themselves. If they mean for everyone then they would be back in the same place relative to everyone else anyway.

Please don’t waste the time on this devs. I know some people want this, but there are so many things in the game that actually need fixing/attention long before something else is added that, I believe, a small percentage of people want. We already have pvp areas that are great for fighting each other.

And dueling is one of those important things. Which a large majority want.

Really? So, your telling me a majority of the player base wants dueling? Please enlighten me with your evidence.

I can’t say one way or the other because I have no evidence as well, but my suspicions are that the majority would rather see QoL, TP, wvw, pvp, dungeon updates long before dueling.

Yeah, I really don’t think the vast majority of people give a kitten about duelling, Runeblade and his 2 firends that keep spamming on dueling relate threads think the more posts are pro duelling and the more chances they have to see this feature live, the only problem is that they are always the same few people XD… we are not that blind.

Absolutely this. Although they do an incredible job of demonstrating exactly the type of behaviour that gives open world dueling a bad rap.

I threw the extras away. It would be nice for a clean-up type NPC but too late for some of the items I had been saving.

There where several posts on forums here just before the small details where released that absolutely no information was being given. They then posted several short summaries of what they are doing to the game and it becomes overhyped? Interesting.

If you have enough dark matter I would find 2 pieces of cheap exotic and throw into the forge.

It is not going to be added to the game. I guess you either suffer and be bored or find a fun game (for you) to play. I am personally having a great time.

If you started playing again on or after Friday then most people probably were in WvW.

A new WvW tournament started on Friday and most people probably went to check it out. Especially since there’s no Living Story to divide peoples attention and the new Edge of the Mists map means there’s no cap on how many people can play WvW at once.

But it’s not a permanent change, the tournament won’t be the new thing forever. It runs until the 30th of May but a lot of people will probably stop playing and go back to PvE long before that, either when they get their achievements or when they get bored.

A good summary of where people are. Mid zones in any game are empty, just the nature of not being able to be in multiple places at once.

They are going to remove PvP and WvW. Only groups allowed and you must be in a maxed guild.
There are probably people in forums who believe this.

Since you can handle thief I would recomend ele. That or mesmer.

Some maps the heart is not visible until it is done, Caledon forest in the bottom left corner and a heart where you change the colour of Hylek (can’t remember the map). Go over the description in map overview and see if all are done.

Has dueling been implemented in PvE? No? I guess my comments are helping my case.

Btw, the use of the word “carebear” is also helping my case. It shows exactly the attitude that non-duelers would have to deal with in PvE, if Anet were to develop that.

The toxic environment would break this game for a lot of PvE players. The constant “duel me, dude” and “what are you afraid of…” and after I mute you, your guild gets in on it, “c’mon dude, duel him. duel me too” and “what, are ya to chicken to fight?” and “kitten carebears everywhere here…”

I’ve seen it in too many other MMO’s and it was part of the reason why I came here. I love dueling in WvW, but I don’t ever want to see it in PvE.

Or maybe the client looks at the server time and not the client time, that’s what I would have done since clients can do things like change their local time.

It was client side a year or so ago, then people kept posting upcoming daily/monthlies and they changed it to server side.

TTS US servers and TxS EU servers do it as a guild type basis. There are servers that do both daily as well. Other servers do a weekly attempt.

You are misguided. You are not supposed to sell all your salvage. You are supposed to collect it to craft with. If Anet is balancing the game with that assumption they are also confused. OP is correct in that the game doesn’t offer enough rewards especially gold. The problem is that they create rarity by horrendous drop rates. Stuff in this game either drops too much or way too little, there seems to be no in-between. If the OP wants just 1 item and they put all there efforts towards that it isn’t unreasonable that they should get it because they are sacrificing everything else. Hardcore players, or “Pro players” as many mistakenly call themselves, will acquire almost everything. These players can’t rationalize the OP’s wish. The situations are very different. The real problem is people are greedy and this is half responsible for destroying the game experience. Anet place in this is not understanding that and setting limits as to how much selfish players can ruin it for others. Anet allows virtually unlimited pricing on the TP, they set unrealistically low merchant values, and they set horrible drop rates. I one day hope Anet wakes up to this and implements the simple solutions I have mentioned.

I could very well be misguided. When Ascended came out I had 50 gold and 2000 gems from how I play the game. I now have 500 in all the crafts, 3 ascended back pieces (1 through tailor), 1 ascended weapon, 2 more lvl 80 characters a couple of gem store purchases and 90 gold in the bank and 2000 gems. I got one lucky drop of a skin worth 100ish gold. I did not buy gems, I have never changed gems to gold. I don’t dungeon run and I don’t do champ trains. But I do have fun and when it is not fun I shut down the game and do other things.

Ahai, it is great to see some support for this idea.

Regarding opening the other orders for the specific races, that sounds like a wonderful idea. My recommendation would be to use the Seraph as a “pilot” idea and, if it takes off and does well then the system could be implemented into the other organisations.

@Mortifier: The Seraph do more than just stand guard within the city gates of Divinty’s Reach! The fight bandits, centaurs and generally keep the peace!

Don’t know how many times I rescued a town that was being ‘protected’ by the Seraph. They all just lay on the ground pretending to be dead until I gave them the heads up the bad guys had gone.
On a serious note it is a possibility but with so much going on would be back burner at best.

gold is quite difficult to get in large amounts in real life o_O

Also the point I am making is that I saved ALL my cash for WEEKS, spending on literally just maintenance things like armor repairs. I haven’t bought any new armors or weapons. I saved every gold and silver I could muster. The point is that you would think you could get something nice after saving all that BUT YOU CAN’T!

It seems silly that we can’t just store achievement skins like the Zenith, Hellfire and Radiant ones.

Yeah, ever since I saw the Zenith system, I begged for them to just make it so whenever you use a stone or crystal on a piece of equipment (source or destination), it memorizes the look so it can be reused over and over again list a Zenith, on a whim, without charge.

As it stands now, I carry around 2 extra sets of chest, legs, boots to have 3 total looks. I’d love to just look however I want whenever I want with one piece of armor and less bag space.

I suspect (as do a lot of other people) that this is exactly what the leaked ‘wardrobe’ feature will do.

Probably, I hope so anyway.

An interesting possibility, as he could be playing us all for fools with an act. It is a very good act however.

what makes me most suspicious that it might be him is the fact that even though he plays a part in the human noble personal story- he has also consistently been part of the Living Story.
So he is known to players regardless of race or story choices.
No other PS character does that, that I am aware of.

He is also a noble of DR who is fairly involved in politics and well aware of the corruption in the ministry.
He is a warrior- and actually a pretty good fighter too.
I have long suspected him to be a member of the Order of Whispers- like Lady Wynne (the Order eyes in the Ministry)

The Dandy/Fool act has been used as a character device in mysteries for a very long time. Not saying that he is but would not rule it out.

Takes a month very slow and less than 2 weeks dedicated map and event participation to get to max.

Sure if your life centres around possible situations that have no chance of impacting the real world be very worried.

Warrior, huge health pool lets you make a lot of mistakes and put more into damage dealing.

How can you miss it? All games are a click away, if this game does not have it another does. If that other game does not have something else then there is 100% chance that some other game does. Nothing at all to miss really.
