I just replace Debroah’s name in my mind with who I want (namely my engi) but my engi is now a Whipers member. So that failed.

There is the Chaos Crystal Cavern in one of the Ascalon locations. Its where the inquest get the shards of chaos magic they use to build more reactor cores. I think Wooden Potatoes touched on this? So instead of a reactor we get a chaos-infused ore source at a possible near battle site. Might be the same map as where Eastern Frontier was.

As for your Shatterer thing, it may be even champions and lieutenants, are drawn as much to magic as their Elder dragon leaders as evidenced even in personal story (Mouth of Zhaitan).

The theory is very good and valid , but due to the state of how things things are now, the Inquest/Scarlet can’t even dare to get even near the deep Charr/Ascalon ghost territory without causing more trouble than they did in molten alliance living story arc. It may have been her/their goal to go that far north and make more facilities to seek this dormant power out. Yet with the efforts we done in CoF dungeon, (killing Gaelheron their “supposed new god” which was using something Similar to both Primordius’ magic and Abbadon’s “Molten Titans” [lot of evidence points to both] to make him invincible less so a god.) and Molten Alliance prevented this.

You weren’t wrong as_ so much it was a matter of timing for all parties involved.

I barely realized that they were in those locations until you showed that. Droknar was the most obvious, and Anet at one time did say Abbadon would not be totally forgotten in GW 2, as certain aspects (titans/lich/etc.) are still mentioned vaguely or things are related to them and Abbadon in a way.

To answer your questions, The Lich’s own plans was three pronged.

1. The Mursaat feared the titans as they were the only creatures (besides the seers), also created by a dark fallen god (Abbadon) that could kill/destroy them.

2. Denravi was the main Shining Blade base of operations. To destroy them and the White Mantle was a dual goal as the Mursaat were the "gods"of the WM cult. Killing the Shining Blade would also prevent anyone able to stand a chance Aginst the Lich and Abbadon in Tyria (later when he starts to begin Nightfall in Nightfall campaign).

3. North Kryta provenmce was the ascalonian settlement as is now in GW 2. Ascalon has power with King of Ascalon and Sohothim and Magdear blades. Possibly enough to stand a formidable chance against even Abbadon’s minions.

4. You forgot a 4th location that is in GW 1. Its in Ascalon itself (see The Last Day Dawns quest in GW1 and the original game wiki). The titans also were the first “gods” the Charr chose for themselves causing the Searing of Ascalon and the Crystals to fall across Ascalon and the use of the Cauldron of Cataclysm. The Lich was going to try to use the titans to fulfill the Charr’s goal of annihilating all humans in Tyria and maybe even kill some Charr as well in the process. This takes place in upper Eastern Frontier in GW 1 which is modern day Shatterer fight area ( will need that nifty gw 1/gw 2 overlay to confirm this.)

5. there is a 5th location: The Titan’s Source (quest of the same name) where you must end it once and for all and kill the remaining titans and finish the portals off for good. This is in Fireheart Rise. Do note we have an Asuran mini dungeon/ JP in this region Vexa’s Lab, but the fight was more near Pig Iron region/forge planes. I also need an overlay to really determine this actual battle location.

I agree. If someone cannot manage their real world money then the last thing they need to do is spend it on in game items. Well, I suppose the LAST thing they should do is go to Las Vegas or date my ex-girlfriend.

There are direct pay options though. Most check cards can be used to buy gems which take the money directly out of the checking account. There is also the Paypal option which can do the same and is what I use. Lastly, as you mentioned gem cards are another option.

This isn’t really a thread about debt though. It is more about managing in game coin to transmute items. Or something like that. I forget. Penguins.

I do eat of course, I’m just saying that when I do get a job and in turn, my own place, there will be bills of course, but I’m not on my own yet, I really don’t have anything else I like to spend money on if I have it (in all cases considered). That is really is what I’m saying.

Its like someone has spare cash and like to spend their free time and spare money on a movie every few weeks… I like to spend it on games.

Once I get a job, I can spend it more often than say holiday gift money.

The matter is for these whiners and complainers (and myself included in the reason coming up in 30 characters or less), is the knowledge that Credit Cards are not free money. If you can’t pay it back, you better not use it ever… even for 25 trans-crystals! Yet as for me, if I have the gold, I exchange for it, and with gem cards, is it really so bad to go out and spend $25? I dumped probably $200 in gems (also includes gold to gem conversions) in cards and gold already for a game that only cost me $10.25 (God bless Gamestop for their trade in cash) to buy!

I’m glad for gem cards, and this holiday I’m spending $100 on at least 5 cards, 2000 gems each, to get my 6 characters with full inventory space and max bank tabs. I only spend money on games anyways.

When they say that line at 25% health left Lady Kasmeer pops out of nowhere and helps in the fight. This is in the explorable version. I think they are talking to her with the lines,“No! You mustn’t!”

Yet villains that rely on other like you say above CHIPS, are weak villains: full of humanity-based weaknesses. Scarlet is above that and she far more of a villain and deadlier as she has no morals or people she cares for. To be a complete monster is what she has become and that makes even a better villain. She is devil in disguise and demon in all sense of the word. She could just say, “I’ll just kill you all as son as you walk up to my door step, but where is the fun in that?”

She is reveling in all this despair and failures of her alliances as it emboldens her as they are in worse shape now than they started in (you can say that the molten alliance was a good thing for the “Big darn heroes”, as they now have their backs broken even more than before). The best villains are sociopaths with no remorse and no emotion or ties to family or anyone, they will be willing to nuke the world to get what they want (which may be what Scarlet’s goal as evidence by wooden potatoes and my own conclusion from all the PS and LS stuff so far combined). Scarlet is by far the best villain so far compared to say a bland dragon which might as well be mindless compared to her cold calculating yet jovial personality.

Columbo has the cute Canthan elementalist (default character design).

Do you need to get through whole tower or floor 3 to end with out a death + instance without a death? or just instance without a death?

The whole game needs these new road blocks! Like the old dungeons for starters! I will love it if you can’t go any further in AC without killing the first graveling burrow. People are skipping -foes just to pull more foes, sometimes 3 vets and a elite into the people ahead of them which causes tower-wide wipes. you have to get through it all without dying once or get ferried to the end dungeon at top without dying by staying at the entrance or center areas. Just like in dungeons skipping is stupid and GETS YOU KILLED!

They are dead wrong and utterly single-minded to say the least. Having someone equal in power (by any measure) is boring and can be killed by just saying, “Hey look over there!” STABS DEAD!. We kill vets or champs which are equal in power everyday. Real villains and evil masterminds are just like scarlet intelligent cunning almost no weaknesses and flaws and must take an army (or 5-6 man band of heroes) to kill them. There is a such thing in storytelling as “larger than life”. It has been around since Beowulf.

Scarlet is not a Mary Sue… she created (or had help in creating) a bio weapon of possible mass destruction. How many people in the real world have been able to do that? Manhattan project? Albert Einstein? What we have here is someone on that real world level of equivalency!

It is entirely possible for someone to have the education on the level of 6 PhDs to make such feats on engineering in real world to cause mass death and destruction, why not in game using in game universe examples?

Another thing, someone on your video commented about how Abbadon’s minion has 6 eyes or something like that. I wonder what the lore connection between the Thaumanova reactor fractal, the Abbadon’s Fall fractal, and Scarlett’s story is. It makes sense, since the Fractal patch is next week, that they both would give us some lore to help set up the climax of Scarlett’s arc. The Thaumanova Reactor makes sense, but what could Abbadon’s Fall have to do with Scarlett?

I made that comment. I am Exiledboswer on youtube. Its a monkier I made for myself when I was still dabbling in a Mario fan game engine program called SMBX. I was the one that drew that conclusion about Abbadon falling into chaos after his defeat the first time and unleashing that chaos after his death at the end of nightfall;

“The idea that the eyes on everything affected by of chaos has 6 eyes like Abadon’s former minions in gw 1, is that Abbadon gave into his own internal chaos (you proved this by showing how the Skritt turn into something new, something different when they hug that chaos material. Its a lot like what Abbadon did to his own people.) corrupting his own self with all his vast knowledge and secrets, becoming a fallen god thus, this could provide a link in a way that all chaos and its affects are mutual. But its not to say as you have already disproven that this all leads back to Abbadon.”

Also remember he corrupted his own followers, the Margonites, with his power which in-turn, was chaos magic in of itself.

It may be that scarlet is trying to recreate Abbadon’s chaotic tendencies and his chaos and its effects, or that its just that chaos magic had this sort of effect all this time all along.

Note: I do not make vids on youtube. I lack the equipment/expertise necessary. When I do get a new rig, I plan to even do GW 2 stuff of my own along with other unrelated stuff. I might even dabble into GW/2 lore.

We’ve confirmed that Scarlet can access the same ‘alternate’ Tyria(s) that created the Steam Hulks/Ogres etc – as confirmed by Scarlet’s taunt about the Infinity Ball (if you’re an Asura that chose that personal story).

This could mean that Scarlet has been to/might even be from a place with evil versions of your characters (unless you already killed them in of course). If this might eventually mean alternative dimension versions of open world maps I’m all for it!

Everyone should start watching Wooden Potatoes’ stuff to stop comments like above, “Oh its boring!” and “It makes no sense!” or play more than just one race and their personal story.

She is not a bad villain at all. GW 2 is a very deep story that you must play ever piece of content to under stand it all. Just look up wooden potatoes and another guy in the lore section’s thread on their videos… Watch the videos! You will have it all explained to you with glaring evidence. Also where the Atherblades come from… how Jubilee. Infinity ball personal story, and scarlet relate to Thaumanova reactor meltdown/fallout and why Tequatal is much stronger. We are soon getting a Thaumanova Reactor Fractal as well (cause we all voted for Ellen Kiel btw).

I made a thread on this where I managed to bug up a whole two slices of DR in TC in this way. Might need to merge it with this. NPCs stopped showing up and a lot of the same issues appeared.

Even if its account bound now, I’d be too lazy to just move them around. I’m still hoping for a unlimited axe for my main. I’ll have to eventually afford a second set for my guardian and a third set for my Engineer, then i can move them to my other 3 lesser used alts if need be. Six characters, 3 sets? That works well!

Look up Sacrlet’s end game in the lore section on here, it will answer everything with two guys vids on youtube that know their lore more than any of us. It seems she even wants to control the dragons and their minions herself and force chaos magic based evolution in all of us. Controlled Radiation-based mutations is her plan.

If everyone watched all of wooden potatoes’ stuff and this guy’s we’d not have all this game hate and lore direction hate. They both have been very spot on with Anet’s direction and I’m all for what Anet is doing after seeing all their vids today.

Will this introduce a use for Agony Resistance in the actual open world? This will make a lot of people happy. Also this will be great for my own rp as my characters have a very deep history with the WM.

See my thread on DR having no NPCs on half if its map… it was a bit creepy and my skills on my guardian were not animating (no damage circles or anything), but the buffs still worked. My leap skill with the hammer would make me jump then I’ll rubber band back to my initial position. Way Pointing to the upper level outer ring fixed it. Also I could talk in /map, say etc, but not see anyone but my party and emotes.

All I did was try to enter a elevator down at the Drumand Hall/Kormir slices of DR and when that failed to take me down I ran down the slope into the bugged area. I was RPing too and my RP partner here— she saw the npcs and stuff when I did not.

We’re getting luck now at the cost of karma. There is a 300% cap on magic find FROM LUCK. Once a player has as much %MF as they want – or they have reached the cap – luck will be worthless unless it can be transformed into something useful. Such as karma.

Boosters and everything else adds to this. AP chests also add and do not count against the 300%. I had a thread explaining this. Why don’t you go look for it?

Anyways, there needs to be an alternate use for these such as making sigils of luck/runes of the pirate instead of using Doubloons?

I encountered a wired glitch/bug when a teleportal failed to work on the upper level of DR, and I had to run down a ramp at Kormir’s slice of the Human City.

No npcs are here nor do my skills animate work/properly, I can still boon with my staff though. I seem to be in a partial disconnected unloaded state.

The elementalist underwater skill 1 for air is bugged in that it does not connect to the enemy with even the slightest height difference or terrain variation despite not being obstructed view. also it fails at point blank and at max range to hit a foe. i tested it many times on barracudas last night when doing aquatic slayer.

Happened with my ele in Queensdale last night. Intermittent attacks with my staff until I changed elements.

What if converting gems to gold didn’t swing the exchange rate as far as converting gold to gems? Wouldn’t it make more sense to make the conversion of gems to gold more lucrative from an economists stand point?

They do have to find ways to entice people to buy gems with real money no? This game isn’t exactly supporting itself from charity donations.

In my opinion, the exchange rate is artificially manipulated at the rate they want it to be. I can see it as clear as daylight.

1) It’s already been explained that Anet doesn’t control the exchange rates. We players do through our own transactions. The more Gems people buy with Gold, the more Gold will be needed for the same amount. Please stop with the tin foil conspiracies.

2) Making Gem -> Gold exchange more lucrative would hurt the in game economy. The influx of Gold would destabilize prices, and result in out of control inflation. Short term revenue from Gems sales would not be worth the long term damage to the value of the currency. This is why Anet has a dedicated team that goes after RMT company accounts selling Gold in game.

For #2 here: Yet it seems a lot of people in GW 2 rather have that than no money at all. As a lot of the money sinks in place are rather static.

I’m the opposite actually, I favor smaller bag prices, meaning I do not sell my bags directly. Changes to Orr and lack of people in Orr ruined the Heavy Moldy Bag prices for me. They are near 5 s a bag and I can’t afford that price (in bulk of 1000) based on how I make money and my methods.

Its why I shared it three times. I sell the contents keep what I need (lodestones).

I shared it once before in my own thread and another twice already it was ignored as most of my intelligent constructive posts are.

Barely anyone does in it TC since the bots were removed form WvW. Infact, I believe every level of “skritt bag of shinies” has a chance of all douboon types in it (except t1).

People have different options available to them in this game. Each of us makes the choice to go with the option we’re comfortable with. But remember, just because you pick an option you like, it doesn’t mean it’s the best choice.

Option C clearly isn’t the easiest option. But I’ll go with that I think is right. And unintended gameplay – or the promotion thereof – isn’t right. Neither is saying nothing about it when you know it’s wrong. In fact, it’s even worse if you defend it and you know it’s wrong. But we’ll leave that discussion for another time.

Option D’: Get a lv 80 to WvW and farm the Skritt on the upper left area of each borderland. The bags go for 16 silver each on TP and have low chances for silver doubloons.

Pro: A level 80 option exists guys.
con: You need to be able to farm in WvW unimpeded.

Maybe like ulgoth and other mega bosses at champion level only, the big giant ones like behemoth, fire ele, wurm, and dragons, should give a champion steel chest with a champ bag for helping out a second or third time.

I sometimes farm Ulgoth all day after his once a day boss chest because he gives champ back and it makes the chain have 5 champs to kill instead of 4.

Speaking of Ulgoth meta event chain, I need to get my champ monthly done. Anyone want to do it over and over? My server is Tarnished Coast.

Elites have been here since dungeons where here. They are just harder vets to provide a challenge but everyone skips them anyhow.

Also if it says unknown they been gone from a few updates by now.

Mad King’s Inqusition. Keep farming those “chest” and splendid reward chests. 600 and 1000 karma respectively like the other guy said. They also contain 5-10 silver each and chances for rares and exotics (pretty good chance too).

Buy ecto/salvage rares for ecto, then salvage ecto, then sell t6 dust and eat the luck!

They are item boxes really but on the item class of reward chest. They contain a random amount of stuff and semi good chances at rare and exotics (not sure if rare drop restriction on level applies to containers. Rares start to drop at when you’re lv 35, exotics seem to not have a lv 62 restriction to drop… I think that only applies to the bonus chests at meta event mega bosses which you’ll know about soon in Queensdale, the first human area or in other starter zones— each one has one.)

You double click to open them. There are 100s of different types of item bags and boxes in the game, most come in tiers based on the material tiers they have. Reward chests like these and champion boxes and bags are different and have equipment in addition to materials and other things.

Its the best way to make gold and karma if you are very good at it.

The gold to gem rate on the exchange is not a measure of inflation. If you consider how the exchange works and interacts with players you’ll realize that it’s a great measure of only one thing…

No one is spending money or buying cards (which is money in bulk increments), which leads to everyone poring gold into the system causing a huge imbalance in the exchange. If someone spends over $1000, pounds, or euros on the gems you’d see the gold prices drop a bit or a lot (depends how much of a dent it leaves in the exchange system).

Maybe Cantha will be in a bad state, as in Sunjiang district area, there is a dragon head buried in 1000s of years of slums and debris and buildup of the city.

It was hinted the statue is related to the four celestial beasts in Canthan (and real Asian cultures) culture, but it seems more like an elder dragon smack dab in the middle of the city.
