Trolling? Nah I’m just going to act normally as I do always in character everywhere. Everyone should do the same if they RP, then we will drown out the haters.

There is a right or wrong way to conduct yourself and go about it. I’m taking the high road and doing as I normally do which is: RP everywhere!

My characters are no strangers to battle, so would it be so hard to think WvW is no different than say acting out slaying 1000s of centaurs or risen on a daily basis fighting for the common good? If it fits in your character’s personality and they have a reason to be there… Why not RP it?

Its not trolling if it makes a lick of sense.

Most of the time I’m half OoC (out of character) anyways.

I don’t really see a difference on my end, I’m already at 1366X768 on most stuff, even GW 2, yet my computer is utter kitten anyways. I’m all on low end and pixelated nonsense.

I did notice the graphics were slightly better on auto detect for me like placebo effect, but maybe that is just me.

And that folks is what is called appropriation! Its legal to do but not really liked and can be a borderline copyright issue by some over zealous legal firms. In art its loved and never frowned upon as it recycles old art and refreshes ideas putting them in a new light at the cost of the original losing its self worth or most of it (not so bad on very old art like the MONA LISA). With books, music, tv and gaming, not so much.

I’m part of the RP tea house in Queensdale, currently Miryssa’s Tea House, formerly the Aroma Tea House. We’re a guild that ICly operates a tea house Thursday and Sunday nights, and we’ve been at it for better than a year. This megaserver business has deeply impacted us.

Where as before we were on TC, a strong roleplaying community, we had access to a large pool of roleplayers. Sure, we always had our regular customers, but a majority of the people we saw were new every week. We encountered very few trolls while we were ‘home servered’ in TC. The few trolls we did encounter usually got bored of being the only one in the crowd and would leave without conflict. Through my ~18 months of playing this game, I’ve had to block maybe a dozen people total.

Last night was my first night working with the new megaserver. Straight away (Well, not straight away, I had to join over), I had to block four people who were spamming in /say, making sarcastic remarks about us, or just saying disgusting things in general. I guess they weren’t happy without getting a reaction and started emoting as if attempting to roleplay, but in a sarcastic way. (Such as tipping one of our servers 100 billion gold coins.) Which raises a few questions for me:

1:) Why isn’t there a course of action for RPers to ‘report’ trolls. They don’t send any feedback or whatever to ANet, but it decreases (Or increases. Or changes. However you need to look at it.) the trolls weighting in this whole megaserver debacle and after so many reports from various guilds those trolls can no longer get into the same shard as proper RPers.

2:) Did you even consider the implications this would have for Roleplayers? I’m going to assume no. When it’s just one troll in a room full of RPers, we can ignore them, and they’ll leave. There’s only so much disruption one person can cause. But four people can wreak havoc on a scene. When it’s just one troll, societal pressure gives way and they either feel embarrassed or bored and leave. But when multiple people are trolling, this seems like an ‘okay’ thing to do and they keep doing, they even egg each other on. No other group has to suffer this indignity. I have half a mind to collect a bunch of roleplayers and all of us join WvW and just RP. It’s the same concept. We go to a place and disrupt the flow. “Oh, sorry, you want us to WvW? Why? Oh, because this is a place for WvW? Well, I just don’t see it. Looks like a bunch of forts to me.” And maybe maybe if we kitten with WvW and PvP and PvE ANet will take notice and give us what we want. Our own niche in the community, an equal share that every other group has.

3:) My customer base. What happened to our customer base? Discounting trolls, last night was rather slow. Some of our regulars who are there literally every night were unable to find us. Some of our own members had to guest over because they weren’t put with us. How am I supposed to run a business with this kind of shenanigans?

4:) Not megaserver related, but I want town clothes back.

I’m going to start doing that in fact, RPCD (my RP guild I joined) does regular full map completions of WvW maps and actually helps out with getting stuff for TC. The guy, a charr named Brother Drake, really gets others involved even if they don’t normally RP and help out as a community. Sure we get a few people (the high an mighty WvW types) be like, “why are you using our chats? Get Off.” yet its a good experience for all regardless if you WvW or not or RP or don’t. I got two areas completed on two toons so far.

But yeah I’m going to start being in-character and RPing in PvP and WvW and all that— lets make ourselves so known— we can’t be drowned out by the hate!

They are not undead/risen models and Raven has nothing to do with serpents or even snakelike beings like Krait… even story missions after that one, he still summons them. The NPC doesn’t even explain his abilities…bad writing I suppose on that part.

In the personal story step on Norn Snow Leopard choice at creation and story track, Raven’s Revered, I found that green text friendly Krait were helping me, Eir and Weibe kill the dredge to get back the raven statue?

The wiki has no knowledge of this. Anyone care to elaborate why the Krait are helping a Norn Raven Havroun?

The answer is mystic forge sprokets. Look up how in wiki.

One or two dropped every 1000 bags when I used to buy 1000s of heavy moldy bags (up to 3000) off TP and open them up to flip the contents. They were cheep even still back then, only 60-90 s each. This was when Pent Shelter and that Asuran guy were not nerfed at all yet.

Heavy Moldy Bags were 2.40-3.10 s each too! I’d spend 10-30 g and flip to gain a 5-20 g profit of all contents.

Too bad there is no lv 21, 34, and 49 for those as those levels as, if you don’t get a boost in level after forging, you will still have greater variance for jute, wool, and cotton respectively for lv 16, 31, and 46.

Also you can sub the dust for something for making those infusions that add + 5 agony and a stat + 5. These only go in the normal offensive, defensive, or omni slots, not your +1 agony infusion slot that uses those compounded +1s to make larger.

You need karma recipes like all rare weapons and recipes for even exotic and ascended.

Crafting is not account bound though… so the achievements track whoever has the highest level in a craft.

Yes i’m talking about the tree you cut down for wood.

What exactly is a Tukawa and other odd tree names? Google only gives me resource node images and map site and wiki entry for this node.

I’m also getting anime fan art of some guys and girls by the name Tukawa oddly enough.

I’m not getting any real world example on Google? Did Anet make up all our tree names?

I’m tried of having to load 6 times cause I kept entering a asura gate behind me instead of walking forward through the citadel or w/e you spawn in at entering your area in WvW.

Please Anet change our position to be facing away form the gates when we load. It also helps us lower end machines that must catch up and load every asset.

Did you guys read what I said? I explained how it works and your real skin name is under the transmutation text on the item description.

Anyways, its a bad way of implementing it as no one would know to look down there.

The real name and item you skinned to is under the transmuted text in the item description.

If its a pearl weapon and you used a Bolt Skin on it, and it still has the X pearl sword of Y name above look to where it says transmuted and it will say Bolt Skin.

Or maybe they are just lazy and forgot to remove it post LS season 1.

The over population caused by the mega server was a bad idea as there is no middle of road limit for the amount of people allowed in each one, this causes the game to be unplayable for those that do not have the best computers on the market.

How is it that not one company out there does not think about us poorer players?

The company should have worked on making the game more optimized and not worry about vacant maps.

The better solution was to have players that needed help on dead maps to go get help from “casual content” friendly guilds. That is, if those said players actually tried hard enough to get help.

This may sound stupid and is also the second time that I’m asking it.
I have never bought any gem with real money, because it’s not a model I want to support (I’m for the expansions route), but I spent my time earnig some gold and converting it to gems to buy something that has now been destroyed.
Am I entitled to a gems refund too? :S

Some of my purchases were gotten by gold to gems conversions only and somewere by gem cards at a Wal-Mart or Target. I made that clear in my ticket. Be honest and they will be nice enough to do for you what you need.

I didn’t deleted the email and they just said it was refunded and nothing along the lines to delete the items I refunded. Its vague at best.

I logged on and found I had 550 gems more than before (so one was 350 and one 200 or 250 and 300 or any combination of two clothing parts and their original costs) and the two items I have asked to refund are sill around.

If its refunded and still in my inventory, then why can I still do this (Please Note: that I’m not going to sell it until I know its safe to do so):

Also I already heard from others that they already sold the items and didn’t think twice for the safety of their accounts.

What the OP is suggesting is a in-game key drop (and green rarity) that doesn’t always work: like lock picks in GW 1. (It was base 10% in HM)

Then we can have titles that serve a function again like our lucky and unlucky and our salvage titles.

And the Gem store only keys (what we have now) are 100% open chance.

I’m all for this, yet the key farming will have to stop in order for them to implement this.

If the lock pick breaks, you get returned a 50c junk item “Broken Black Lion Key” like unidentified items.

I got my refund (550 gems) for two of my old one piece items and I go on today and I stillhave them in my guardian’s inventory.

Is this supposed to happen? were they supposed to take the stuff off my account I asked for a refund for?

Am I allowed to sell the two tonics to the TP and get more gold? Or is that taking advantage and exploiting?

I don’t want to be banned suspended for exploiting…

Wasn’t there a huntsman master lady that went missing? I think she had a Canthan look to her and maybe a Canthan name.

Less actually the reasons why:

1) rp is ruined for good. we are all separated and trolls are here to stay.
2) way too much more people in areas so I will lag more and not able to play at all.
3) I did champ train not for gold, but to get mats for my Crafting and getting to 500. So with that ruined in Frostgorge, i’m out of ways to get mats for my crafts. I make money by selling stuff not grinding events/champions. So I’m a TP player/trader/flipper. We all know the TP is actually a economy balance mechanism not something that adds more gold to the world so I never really added inflation.
4) The nerf to dungeons will make it impossible to get dungeon stories done for my alts. Story mode is useless enough to the elitists/dungeon farmers. Now its even worse for people like me and casuals/noobs!
5) Town clothes are ruined, thus another part of our RP is kittened on.

I am wondering how its going on my ticket # 542408. I made a request to refund two town clothing items that I had for a very long time that got turned into tonics and looking to refund them as I’m dissatisfied with their change. I actually have three in total but keeping one, as I actually like its outcome.

The two I have that I need refunded are on my Guardian Hikari Kyoko Ishida.

I completely spelled them out in the support ticket but they are [Endless Country Lace Clothing Tonic] and the [Endless Khaki Clothing Tonic]. If you can help and I get my gems back/refunded it will be appreciated.

It ruined RP already and TC’s Divinity Reach isn’t even megaserver mode yet, even though every one one is hiding in DR and making it seem like it is megaserver, cause its the only area that we know of that isn’t set to it yet and its making it hard to load for lower end machines (mine is a low end) and there is so much clutter and too many people.

I haven’t seen any Anti-RP people or trolls yet as its still mainly TC people in DR, but I rather not try to RP at all with this many people now, also most of my friends list that has RPers and PVE players alike, is even more sparse with even less online as a result of this.

I really hate this change and wish it didn’t exist. Was it so hard for those that can’t do the empty maps’ content solo to find a friendly pro-noob guild and join them for old content?

It seems it was and this question above answered it self as we just got this hell hole of an update. I’m already on the search for a new game to RP in with either anime-styled or Asian-based people in it to make a new in-universe rp for my wholly owned characters as I RP as practice for my own writing then go back and incorporate tropes and elements adapted back to my own original universe, like, “That battle I just did in GW2 worked pretty well, how can I translate that fight scene into my own work now?”.

Also, the Canthan shtick is done as no way in hell I’m going to deal with all the trolls already has one “oh she’s a little anime girl.” comment today, DOESN’T ANYONE KNOW THEIR kitten LORE?!

So will we see GW 2 licensed products by Lego and Arena Net/NCSOFT? I know WoW/Blizzard partnered with mega blocks Lego’s competitor once.

What could make NCSOFT allow Cantha to still exist and everyone here be happy, is have the nation/continent of Cantha have 5 regions in it, 3 for each nationality in the real world (no more architecture mixing) with their own unique architecture and have the Luxons and Kurzick’s homelands still (they may be defeated by Emp. Usoku, but might still have their culture intact). Many one player RPGs did this with cultures that mimicked real life ones. Golden Sun series in particular (for one player RPGs) and Ragnarok Online as well as a good example for a MMORPG. Look them up!

So with this new idea, you’d have a Chinese styled sub region, a Korean-styled sub region, and a Japnese-styled sub region. Also it will not be one ruler anymore, but three rulers for each region all in a equal standing of government. Like a triarchy and yet backed by a ministry like Kryta that limits their power and voices the peoples needs to them from each of the 5 regions.

Everyone is happy and gets their own special snowflake region and no more issues with mixed culture or architecture. NCSOFT is happy, ANET is happy, we are happy, and everyone in the real world is happy.

Yeah I’m being a bit devil’s advocate and cynical here and such. Segregation won’t solve this, but might have to work.

On a side note… you don’t see anyone up in arms about Kodan… which are a mix of Asian architecture with some buddhist/taoist principles… it seems ANET has done what NCSOFT said not to do with Cantha yet again. So are we calling the kettle black way too soon?

So we get Kodan as a npc race/culture and not Cantha (with big hole in the ground + a one time only arena that will never be used again maybe)? I smell Hypocrisy.

Also yesterday, I saw over 20 Canthan-like women in game; in Gendarrian Fields Vigil Refugee Camp alone, all players, using Asian styled faces in support of Cantha knowingly or unknowingly (some of which had no idea what Cantha was until I told them vaguely as its a region based on Asian culture and people IRL, which is really teh wrong way of going about this.)

The support is there and there are others that have no idea what Cantha is, but like that we have Asian faces/skin types to use. Without Cantha, that character creation diversity wouldn’t exist and furthermore, if NCSOFT/ANET didn’t want Cantha or Asians/Asian influence in GW2, we’d not be able to make humans of that ethnicity on the creation tools in game.

Even though 10*s are pretty much best in slot gear (some are better than others and better than 11* exclusives yet weaker than the ultra rare 12*s) they can be found with some effort/farming (some are pretty rare) they are probably equivalent to our ascended albeit a bit easier to get.

GW 2 doesn’t have a drop rate system as good as PSO 2’s to warrant this though.

So a big NO!

Before adding any new stat combos… the devs should focus on making every stat combo craft-able by each crafting profession from the get go, and in every craft level not just ascended. This will not be using laurels, guild commendations, LS rewards that don’t exist anymore or the mystic forge.

Dire, Magi’s, Sentinel’s, both Giver’s types, Settler’s, Cavalier’s, Soldier’s, Shaman’s, Zealot’s, Valkyrie, the unnamed Vitality/Power/Healing Power, and the unnamed Precision/Power/Toughness sets for starters.

This was what I said in the other thread, but it got ignored by everyone and trying to bring attention to it got my attention grabbing post removed how its not relevant to that discussion and it needs its own thread really bugs me, but here it is in its own thread!

The $10 for 800 is so they can make a slight profit off you. $10 for 1000 is break even with no profit.

They get 20% of your money, you get the rest in a convertible form in-game to use. It perfectly legal in order for them to keep up with costs of production/maintenance/whatever. Is it fair to us? No not necessarily.

This boss sucks period! We spent 4 hours in a lv 19 fractal just trying to beat her. We rather have dredge (which we can do rather fast) then this kitten. You get stuck once or in a bad spot, you are done! Total wipe everyone!

did you try equipping something non zerker?
In this case even at 50 damage is low enough to be able to be hit many times before dying (4-5).

But most of all remember that if you split the party in 5 (each player stays in 1/5 of the stage) you get 1/5 Attacks durring cannons.

For may trinn phase just use condition cleanse..

I wore anything but my zerker set ( and I have 4 unique exotic sets) this was fractal lv 19 mind you. I had to go back and repair 3 of my 4 sets (zerker was my last set) my trinkets are zerker only with 20 kitten t to them (one trinket is missing a +5 piece and my back is till exotic). Agony wasn’t an issue it was her always going after me and the cannons phase killing us all, also the 16 stack bleed.

Granted this was a pug group, but after 30 deaths (and 3-4 hours in the fractal) I managed to kill her on downed mode.

I really hate this boss no matter how good anyone is or I will be.

I’m traited to 30 water. Everything else is 10 with blasting staff and fury on each attune change.

After reading the tips, I know better not to run for my life and stay closer to her. Still doesn’t help I’m an ele.

BTW, I have two soldier sets 1 zerker, 1 knight’s and now a rampager set.

My machine sucks So I can’t see tells. I have to hope someone else blocks her or she goes into cannon mode with us at high enough health to not lose anyone.

Selling all my mats in a blind rage at this game and quitting for two months (80 g for all that) then come back and now I am working on ascended and legendaries again.

Buying 40 unid dye when it started decreasing in price (hasn’t went up since). I got some nice colors though, but no super expensive ones.

I have 6 classes but I only play three of my toons: ele, guard and engi.

my ranking is:

1. Ele
2. guard
3. Engi

Yet my engi’s 1 is amazing! It can kill so fast as its instant recharge and spammable. The more you press 1 the faster she throws junk and can down an enemy for a rally fast couple that with the pull, and you can pull the lowest health foe to you for closer and faster hits.

Come 15th, a new monthly and the way achievements are handled will happen, so you will get another monthly to do. Its two in one month and you still get stuff for the new one.

Doesn’t hurt to farm this monthly to death for much needed AP.

I made a post just a few days ago in the moderator/dev suggested thread about new stat combo types— concerning this. I asked why don’t we have every stat type craftable only with mats (or combinations) for each. No more karma/dungeon only stuff or laurel/guild commendation only stuff.
