I would like it to work in Party, up & downed players, one target. Personally I would like to see this on the Druid staff to bring a skill unique to the Ranger…portal(mes), etc.

That might work, but would also really limit the worth of the skill beyond Dungeons or PvP. Maybe as an alternative it would be better if it only effected Downed allies. It wouldn’t really be possible to troll with it in that case.

Still no reason as to why burning is literally 4-5x stronger than other conditions…? If burning went down and others went up it would be a buff to Engineer/Necromancer/Ranger/Warrior condition builds and a nerf to the biggest abusers, Burn Guardian and D/D Ele.
“Burn” Guard needs something in consideration probably, but I’d opt for adding more sustained burn~ not more burst burns, to their kitten nal after said change, while allowing conditions to be closer in usefulness and allowing Elementalists have their well deserved burn reduction.
Because im sure anet is starting to become aware that for the sake of pve theyve taken away the flavour of each condition giving rise to a big problem if they are the bring burning in line with the other damaging conditions. That is that, if they lower burn it will eventually be no different from bleed. Meaning they might aswell remove it from the game except for a pitiful excuse of being ever so slightly more damaging than bleed.
At this point they only thing they can do to stop that from happening is leaving the damage of burn where it is and making the stack output from various skills extremely low. That low availability but high damage will be the only thing from keeping burn from becoming another bleed.
I might a post a long time ago about how the change to confusion for the sake of pve took away some of its flavour in being only punishing of spamming skills while being unaware of youre conditions, where the change made the application or idea of it a bit more faceroll unfortunately.
Or you could just save yourselves the transfer fees and wait for guild halls in HoT?

Youre a thief, ofc you can handle that bc youre not supposed to get hit with all your stealth. Any other class which doesnt have stealth, tons of cleanses, imune skills vs condi or a necro which has two lives are kinda doomed in 10 seconds.

Damage is ridiculous overall in pvp/wvw right now, but especially on guard’s burn which executes too fast for 9k ticks. Even if I dodge most of the big damage skills and the primary burn skill its too much.
New condi meta has made tankiness feel entirely useless. Even maximizing available condi clear doesn’t seem to help all too much.
How is a guardian able to get 9k burn ticks on you in sPvP? Are you just sitting in his purging flames field while he uses torch and judges intervention and whirling wrath? I mean i use a hybrid burn guard in pvp and ive yet to come across anyone who doesnt immediately dodge as soon as i use judges intervention into a group on point.
And if as you say you are dodging his primary hits, you shouldnt be taking 9k burn ticks. The math doesnt add up here. Unless im very much mistaken.

yeah around 20 stacks i think which means he didnt dodge anything and probably poured some gasoline on himself before the fight started.

At this point, I am very close to calling Arena-net HQ because I am absolute furious. 500+ dollars on these boosters, I had so many that 2:1 was actually WORTH it… and now I cannot get them back. So angry.

I think it is warrior axe but I know that necro dagger is also a top contender. Dont know the numbesr exactly myself though.
Just bought the game and been playing around 4 weeks now, and someone tells me today that i’m blacklisted. When and why and what that means exactly? I’m a bit confused. I haven’t offended anyone, scammed anyone, i haven’t even talked to anyone, just been playing solo. Love the game, but now i’m just confused.

Game shows 30 ms latency, still having 1-2 sec delay on all skills in matches. Why?
Do the skill icons tend to be flashing while the delay is occuring?
Sounds like its skill lag, its on anets side. Very well known in wvw but its started to bleed into spvp too now.
This isn’t an exploit. They even specifically said that a benefit of this change means that they don’t have to deal with the AC exploiters before the patch because it puts everyone on a level playing field. There have been suggestions to fix the field of view automatically when you wield an AC etc though.
I see the pve community are still naive enough to think anet will keep to their promises. You can expect a handful of of new legendaries in the next expansion after the three announced for HoT are released. Need I remind you of how many years ago they first promised new legendaries?
I’ve noticed people even think they will release new elite specialisations before the next expansion xD.
you should know by now that ele’s aren’t allowed to have a good elite, if we were they wouldn’t have nerfed FGS into oblivion

With staff you can start every fight with AoE weakness and then immediately swap to dagger. That is much better than having two offhands to swap between.
It definitely is not. Focus 4 and Warhorn 5 are both valuable for dps. You get plenty of Weakness from Weakening Shroud when you flash as well, not that it is needed. Staff is quite useless for PvE.
Staff gives you more damage vs 4-5 targets since dagger only hits 2.
Dagger hits 3 I believe because its a cleave or am I mistaken? And I would doubt staff does more damage for 5 because it’s damage coefficients are very low, it’s a utility weapon not to mention of course you’re 5 target attacks are on a cool down if we assume it’s hard to get the #1 projectile to pierce all 5 targets but again that has a low damage coefficient and is very slow so that again would bring the dps value down.
Well (if im doing this wrong someone please tell me lol) I use it to get rid of the defiance stacks to make way for the ice bow deep freeze or whatever, or the pulls when theyre required.
Dagger deals the most damage of any necro weapon by far. The offhand weapons are all good, but for open world stuff you should use warhorn because it gives you area damage and swiftness.
As for ranged weapons, staff has the longest range and hits multiple enemie2s which is very useful. You only need to damage an enemy once to get kill credit for it.
Those are the important details IMO. I suggest you also try out the other necro weapons and just see how they play, but dagger/horn + staff is the way to go for leveling hands down.
(Quinn dont worry about this lol its just a bit of a ‘the more you know’ note)
Actually interestingly you only get a tag regardless of the damage if youre in a party and all members get a tag on the same mob ( dunno if the combined damage of the party needs to fill the quota of the minimum damage requirement or if its ok as long as all present members on the map hit it ).
If it is just you without a party there is a minimum damage requirement (im guessing its a % of the health) in order to get the tag but ofcourse you wont not make that unless you were trying on purpose or are taking part in zerg content where the mob dies too fast due to so many others hitting it which makes tagging difficult on condi builds.

Reading the tooltips of your skills will tell you what boons/conditions they output and also what combo field or finisher they produce.
To be honest the stun duration was very soft in my opinion, i was expecting a minimum of 3 or 4 seconds considering there are a fair amount of stuns in the game that are 2 seconds or more. Unless the break bar is much more easily broken than expected.
That and its a normal stun unlike deep freeze and so rev equipped with the stun break on legend swap expecting the break bar to be broken shouldnt have too much trouble.

I m warrior main and i have no problem with building adrenaline. So no need any changes. Adrenaline is fine how it is.
There are much much more heavy problems with warrior gameplay than this one.
Like zetsumei mentioned the lifeforce gain, well i would even like my adrenaline gain been toned down but having a burst skill easy to land like the necro death shroud skills.
Or having my life doubled when activating my adrenaline, deal zetsumei?

Get this, your T1 servers may or may not have good players. What they do have is 24/7 coverage. That is all that allows them to stay T1. WvW ranking is and will always be a numbers game. It has nothing to do with individual skill.
I absolutely disagree. Numbers isnt everything. I know that none of the top tier servers have 24/7 coverage. Im on Blackgate, a server that, just last week, placed first against Jade Quarry the server with the largest SEA coverage in the tier plus they team up with Tarnished Coast, every week, and Blackgate is gonna do it again this week.
Youre hilarious, sorry to break it to you but t1 is not t1 due to skill. At all. The reason t1 is t1 and t9 is t9 is due to population and coverage, nothing else. Get over yourself, or better yet exit this little bubble of yours and visit other tiers.
You get “invulnerable” against a lot of classes. I tried to corrupt a mesmers boons and nothing happened besides of that “invulnerable” message. Not sure what other buffs he had up, but it was 3 boons on him and nothing that should interupt my skill.
Surely if he uses the f4 shatter it would protect him from the corrupt boon, also seeing as how the corrupting of stab has now been fixed. Especially because previously the boons would be visibly removed and corrupted but the fear would proc an invulnerable message because the condis were being applied before removing the boon.

Definitely, but honestly im just glad its not warrior who got it, also it seems the defiance bar will be balanced around the energy system rather than being a flat trait or cooldown balancing, (similar to the idea of how to balance a defiance bar with the necro using lifeforce). So all in all im ok with this.
I’d like to highlight that the condi ranger builds (especially the trapper being very cool) is most definitely not cheese compared to longbow pew pew.

It doesn’t scale off your condi dmg, it scales off the creator of that condi’s condi dmg

greatswords attack slowly. daggers do not. therefore the dps of daggers is higher. is it really so hard to grasp?
A statement like that makes me think you don’t really understand the concept of “damage per second”. Or even the concept of “per”. And you manage to come off like a kitten at the same time. Nice work.
To be clear, when considering DPS, the damage is just as important as the speed. If —and these are completely hypothetical numbers to address your point and not connected to any actual in-game numbers, so don’t misconstrue what I’m saying -- if daggers do 10 damage each attack and do that 5 times per second, and the greatsword does 125 damage each attack and does that every 2 seconds, there’s a scenario where the greatsword attacks more slowly and yet has a higher DPS.
The numbers have already been calculated on the necro forums (by spoj I think) and the dps yes damage per second is lower than dagger auto even when grave digger would completely come off cooldown after hitting someone below 50%.
i thought gs necro was sick. you could face tank like 6 veteran spiders w/ 25 stacks of might w/o even trying. i don’t know what the problem is here
It has lower dps than dagger autoattack and its an impractical weapon for PvP.

Nah, nightfall is good as a dark field, they just need to make a dark aura that siphons or blinds and give that to people who leap or blast dark fields. As for us having too many dark fields, changing well of power to a light field, and maybe corruption to ethereal would help.
Yeah they need to make vampiric aura for leaping through dark fields already.
Might have something to do with entering/exiting reaper shroud counting as a weapon swap, thereby proccing weapon swap sigils while having the 1sec gcd for weapon swaps.
Nah the weapon swap sigils all have their own 9/10 sec internal cool down.
sorry but i dont agree and death shroud needs this aswell imo. now you’re gonna hate me for that statement but in the heat of battle in pvp it can happen that you spam f1 to get into shroud when its off cd to prevent death or whatever and in a worst case scenario you pop in and out and die.
same reason why they added the 1s gcd to elite transforms.
That’s definitely a l2p issue and they should not handicap flash builds to cater for this.
