Lmao I remember when the pve community was so quick to defend anet because they haven’t necessarily experienced their disappointing side, I see some still have high hopes though. In time they will come to learn of why the wvw and necro community are so cynical this is only the first step xD.

With the new server status’ no longer being based on population but rather on wvw activity, some questions have come up that many of us would like clarification on.
-How often is the server status determined?
-How is a full server now supposed to recruit people for other time zones, hypothetically can a server that has a strong NA presence be counted as full and prevent it from recruiting OCX/SEA/EU coverage? In the past there were at least times when servers would open up but now how would this be possible?
Full servers are essentially locked now and the only way to open up is to have an exodus or a blackout till the server opens. I do not think that is fair or progressive.
I’m pretty sure that by wvw activity they simple mean the glicko rating.

Only servers that dont match it are vizunah and millers but they are both very close in glicko to a server in the other bracket so im assuming its simply glicko + very small random variance much like how the matchup system works.
That info gives you enough ways to abuse it and highlight how it ceases the possibility of the ppt game ever becoming competitive.

Sorry I need to take a moment.. I cant handle the high level of logic here.
Before the change, I had to map all the WvW to make my 3 legendaries. I couldn’t stand WvW at the time, but had to do it anyway. I did it because it was part of what it took to get what I wanted. No complaining.
Always fascinating to meet someone incapable of logic thought, can you not read? In order to make those legendaries you had to do content from ALL gamemodes not just wvw. Are you so self-centered that you didnt notice that in order for a wvwer to get a legendary he has to grind out the remaining what was it 98% worth of map completion in pve maps. I know you have difficulties with putting yourself in others’ shoes but many wvwers enjoy grinding out pve maps about as much as you enjoyed wvw map completion.
You can twist it any way you like, but doing a fractal is a cost for obtaining the piece. There is a set of armor you can only get in PvP and if I want it, then I will have to go there and get it. I don’t want to, but I will some day just because I want it. I will do it without whining and crying about it because that is the cost of getting it.
We’re not complaining about the event where certain skins are only available in certain game modes. We’re complaining about the event where a legendary backpiece is only available through a significantly large amount of fractals. It would be something to complain about if ascended gear was only obtainable through pvp and every other game mode only provided you with exotic.
Anyway its quite meaningless talking to you any further, youre clearer simply content with being catered for rather than discussing the lack of equality across the three gamemodes.
9. Some of the defending npcs do WAY to much damage. I had around 2900 armor and the 20% reduction of damage from wvw ranks and still some of the veteran guards could toss one grenade or shoot me with a rifle shot for 5-9k and there would be more than one of them roaming around.
This here is one of the biggest reasons eotm doesnt work as a roaming map. The npc’s cut off massive portions of the map because you have to steer clear of them in the event that you get into a fight with another player.
In my eyes as ive said many times this is just wasting the developer of the map’s work by making large portions of the map go completely unused because roamers will never go near there so that they dont end up giving an enemy they stumble upon a ridiculous advantange.
Upon reviewing the tapes.
Agressive Dinos:
Arrowheads: did the barrel roll attack like a karka. ONLY some were aggressive.
Stoneheads: looked like t-rex, had ranged knockdown and a charge attack.Neutral Dinos:
Mordrem Bonebreakers: not sure attacks as you could perma knockdown them
Bristlebacks: quill shooters
Pocket Raptors: wont even fight you when aggro NINE of them
Smokescales: I think they stealthed and shadowstepped
Rolling Devils: Probably rolled?There was also some non aggressive boars and beetles in the oasis too.
So only 1.5 of 9 mob varieties were aggressive by default
Thing is its not just the red named mobs that annoy roamers. The yellow ones effectively cut off huge portions of the map because if you are in a 1v1 and you stray too close to one thats a huge interference to the fight. I just don’t understand why they cant make all the mobs ambient but keep the character models.
Is it some attachment to wanting to leave mobs and specifically work on their skill mechanics to attract pvers? Rather than spend that time actually improving wvw as a player vs player type gamemode.

^This. If you want a legendary back piece then do what is required. No one is “forcing” you to do anything.
If I want a new car, I have to earn money to get one. No one is forcing me to do anything. I am doing what I have to in order to get what I want.
Yes, but in the real world we don’t have silly MMO constraints. You literally buy the car you want. You don’t take a particular job, because it’s required to buy a particular car.
Unfortunately ANet are going more that way because the “I want shinies that represent my achievements” crowd have been so very vocal. Force might be the wrong word, but this approach does make games quite tiresome, in my opinion. Everything gets reduced to a checklist of chores.
As I said before, in the real world, just like the MMO, there is a cost to get a car. That cost is money. You have to provide money to get the car. You don’t have the “option” of paying in gum wrappers or pine cones. Similarly, you have to do fractals to get the legendary back piece. That is part of the back piece’s cost.
This is about cost of an item, not options of where to get the item.
No, your analogy is completely incorrect. A better analogy would be saying I have the money to buy a car but only a lawyer is allowed to buy this particular car that costs £XXX. In order to buy the car I must earn £XXX as a lawyer and pay with that money even though I have earned the required amount of money as an engineer already.
People are saying hard-core fractal runners would say only they deserve a legendary backpiece, sure but what about hard-core pvpers or hard-core wvwers?
About being forced to do dungeons and wvw map completion for legendary weapons, again the thinking is completely wrong. You were forced to do ALL game modes content, what would be unfair is if for twilight you ONLY had to do wvw map completion and for incinerator you ONLY had to do dungeons etc.

Yep can’t say until we have the exact recipe, as long as it takes a relatively equal effort across all game modes or you have to option of crafting it with different approaches depending on your preferred game modes it will be fine. Hence the ‘worry’ and the fact that anet isn’t known for its game mode equality

I going to just keep saying my suggestion of letting all pve mobs keep their character models for immersion but making them ambient.
They’re just wasting all their work by putting them in there, anywhere there are mobs is a place where the map goes unused because people want to fight without interruption and I hope they don’t see rallying off mobs around you because you can’t fight fairly, tactical play. All the maps would suddenly feel bigger and open up more manouvers for fights once they get rid of the pve mobs obstructing players from using that terrain to fight on.
Trading post flipping been slow lately?
I find damage modifying traits to be the most boring type to be honest and I wouldnt complain of they were removed provided they are all removed at the same time. Another thing is that you always see people complaining about ‘passive proc’ traits but no one complains about these..

Hmm btw there is a priority list. It should not cancel one weapon skill in order to use another weapon skill. Im a little rusty but i think its weapon skill<utility<heal. Cant quite remember if utility makes a difference but heal definately does. You can queue 2 i think or mayb 3 weapon skills. Experiment with necro cos it always has long cast times (¬¬). Go into options and set aoe skills to insta and equip a staff. You will see you can queue more than one mark at a time. Dodging and stow weapon can also be used to cancel a skill. Also thief weapon skills also queue if you hit the same skill more than once due to how initiative works.
Some conclusions:
1st. Warrior lacks active defense. Stances prefer zerk/marauder setup and leave warrior defenseless once they have cooldowns. Shield Block and Rampage are everything warrior has if getting focused by crowd control (stablity is easily removed by mesmers)
2nd. Sustain is too low. The class relies on healing signet and dogged march regen buff to recover hp. overall damage is too high to for these heals to do their work. shout heal is a joke right now, shouts also leave warrior completely defenseless against focused fire. Blinds also make it impossible to remove conditions with cleansing ire, leaving brawlers recovery as the only reliable way to remove conditions.
3rd. The only way how warrios can work in the meta is full damage with quickness buffs and rampage. consider it as “kill them before they kill me”. quickness allows rampage to quickly burst down enemies while they are stunlocked and rampage gives warrior the necessary defenses to survive it.

Wvw already has too many incentives to blob up it doesnt need more. Your ability to have an effect on the map should be gated by the player opposition not hard-capped artificially by the game’s npcs.
So what do you need NPC’s for if the camp is a free cap anyways?
Time gating. (As long as it isn’t a ridiculous amount). You need to give time for the defenders to arrive to instigate fights.

Yes, that means you where trolling. Those kinds of servers is effectivly cheating servers officially allowed by Anet for reasons beyond me. Its like a dev said “hey on this particular server, aimbots is allowed! Go nuts!”. Players make their own rules just to farm more easy sPvP ranks and points. If you dont follow the rules, you are trolling. Its similar to knife only servers in Battlefield except without the fun.
Anything to sell their custom arenas I guess :/

Except warrior will probably get it, and a break bar is much more op when going against a necromancer rather than another class going up against a necromancer with a break bar. Why? Because fear. It would completely nullify terror, and when playing a terrormancer, your fears arent something you’re happy with spamming just to get 1 in (new stability stacking as an example).

In SPvP, I’m going to try my best to make my Crusader S/S+Hanner Shiro/Mallyx (Maybe Glint > Mallyx if it ends up being very good).
I have a feeling I can make it work if the crit traits turn out decent.

I wonder if when you use the exploit to enter a golem and pick up the ice bow at the same time, if instead you used it with lightning hammer – would that skill make the golem leap?
People will be more likely to call condi builds OP for no reason because if you look at the tooltips it will display an incredible amount of damage for just 2 or 3 bleeds (because of the duration) but in reality no-one ever lets the condi tick for that long xD

The hilarious part is that people found put they didn’t really fix the golem duping exploit, or ot came back.
I saw guilds systematicly abuse this bug.
it’s plainly visible who uses the bug and who doesn’t (because you can see the buff). the ones using it should man up and face us without it, people seing others abuse it should report.
If arenanet never does anything against bugusers, then you can expect everyone abusing the next ones. Arenanet should just send some guys into wvw, see who has the buff while not in a golem and 100 reports and take action.
Or.. they could fix it ^^
I like how the most intelligent reason they could have for this event was for depleting the stocks of golems in the game with the rumours of people hoarding stacks of duped golems and generally bringing the price higher as a bandaid.. and then the event apparently leads to them being duped again xD

Also, the foods not being max level leads me to believe it was an uplevel you were facing. Their stats get inflated beyond full Ascended 80 if they’re geared correctly, and knowing he had a Guardian ally, I can see this happening.
Nah that’s most likely because the 10% one costs significantly more than the 8% one so no-one bothers outside of gvg’s normally xD

Well over to the west in the sand dunes part of the big desert area above the fire keep are some nice places to fight to be fair
Its whisper lag. Youll notice that after a while (sometimes we’re talking 10mins or more) your chat tab will flash through all the names you tried to whisper. Very annoying if youre raiding for example and suddenly instead of darting left away from the enemy you typing wasd into the chat bar.. lol.
I have the same experience when using my Logitech headphones as a USB device. Their “Gaming Software” doesn’t let me switch to non-surround, so the only workaround I’ve found is to remove the USB adapter and plug them directly into the onboard sound (yuck.)
The problem, for me, shows up primarily in User Interface sounds for the game. It is definitely quite annoying. I haven’t experienced this in other apps (though I haven’t done enough testing to confirm that it is limited to GW2)
Oh im using the logitech G430 headset. You can disable surround sound by going into the logitech software, icons at the bottom, left of settings, share and help are another three icons. Click the third that is customise surround sound and on the main area you see a toggle to enable or disable dolby surround (disable).
Please don’t talk about decent necro traits on the forums. Simply mentioning them on the forums makes them more likely to be nerfed until they are all extinct.
