i really wish people would stop saying “land spear” when they mean 1 handed spear, land spear can also be 2 handed, and no different than rev staff fighting wise(and possibly future theif spec too.)
now after saying that. I hope when they add a new weapon to the game it is a 1 handed spear, because those are always underrated but totally fun to use.
rely on your skill more than the build you choose.
when it comes to roaming, alot of warrior builds work, you just gotta know how to play it and practice.
I use rifle, sword/shield and i love it for roaming.
Plus if you don’t delete it, you’ll get a bunch of (more) threads about people complaining they cant keep their chars/stuff when its becomes live.

Playing a game thats 3 years old, people should understand that things couldv’e changed.
They use sepia during the old lion’s arch ps parts to symbolize it’s in the past.
Why are we seeing all these posts lately saying how dumb new people are/will be? If anything we shouldn’t be enabling dumbing down the game. If anything all someone has to do is ask map chat or use the wiki and bam 2 seonds and answer solved.

Nothing about GW2 is hard, everything you consider “hard” is just something that takes a lot of effort and/or time. nothing actually is difficult to get.
Seems like you care more about personal gain, and not actually testing for bugs and glitches.
It’s beta for making the game better later on, not so you can get a free trial and get free stuff.

Magic Carpet, Drill, and Broom
A Mount is a cosmetic item meant to fluff up playtime through collection and end game content rewards. Any games with mounts will generally have multiple methods of travel.
In GW2 we have three items already so the question becomes in a Cash Shop style game why they don’t sell more items in the same scheme as the Carpet, Drill, and Broom?

i tried using the elite to set up a trap to knockdown a zerg that was runnig at me when i was roaming on eotm .. . .LOL thats when i found out the skill has like a 2 second charge time XD
i did shiro super speed, then swapped legends used staff 5 then swapped back to shiro. . .ect
I do envy Roy, he gets to work on an awesome game for a living, and is helping make the most fun class(imo) in it.

I would be beyond happy just to have access to racials.

Like every other class have 4 utilitys of a type. So should the Revenant for each Legend imo. It might not happen before HoT since Revenant its pretty much complete (Elite spec this week, and then we know everything about Revenant)
Some day after HoT I would like to see one more skill for each Legend.Definitely. As long as it’s on the table, I’m fine with it not being available till after HoT releases.
I really hope they consider adding utilities after HoT if they didnt plan on doing it originally( but PLEASE try to do it before HoT)

1. Rev gets a set of core utilities that can be swapped for any legends utilities.(racials included)
2. Each legend gets more utilities to choose from.
I actually thought the EXACT same thing, but there are challenges to both options.
For option 1: how does this work with legend swap? What happens when the “generic” utilities are better than legend utilities and people put them on both legends to just have higher uptime? Perhaps 2/3 of utility slots must be legend specific, with 1/3 being constant regardless of weapon swap.
For option 2: this requires even more design work, making even MORE new skills for each legend. However, if you at least had 4 options to choose from, it would certainly help. Unfortunately, they would never be equally balanced and 1 of them would end up never being used (and thus non-existent).
I feel like either of these options would be great for making revenant legends less rigid and more personalizable to individual player (and spec) needs.
In regards to what you said about option 2, thats how every class is,
certain utilities for certain situations and some not so blanced, There are certain utilites people use more than others but even if they feel unbalances, people would still use them for personality or situaltional
freedom of choice and feeling unique is what rev is lacking

You cant counter situations without entirely changing your legend, which is disappointing. We’re too limited on our skill customization.

the whole point of the revenant is that you don’t choose utility skills but you choose the legend set
Yeah the point is you choose the legend and each legend has themed utilities. Adding 1 or 2 skills per legend would not take away from that the core idea of two theme bars based on your legend choices but it would allow for builds to be tweaked to meet certain situations, dropping skills for more useful ones as and when needed.

Revenant is more about taunt than fear. Thats necro thing. Also if someone is stupid enough to throw fear at you during embrance the darkness, then enjoy 3+sec fear on them. I feared some poor hotjoin necro for 6 seconds this way hahah

but fear skill would totally make sense for it, i mean yes it fits necro more, but warrior has a fear skill and Rev fits fear better then warrior. and i goood idea for the return fear, thats awesome

Those are really the only reason i play warrior as a main(yes i love skyhammer XD) but they seem to be really fun skills, and that’s what matters is fun.
I mean with a name like Revenant, there should be atleast one fear skill. While launches are not only fun, but good for interrupts and saving allies in time of need.

do NOT make the mobs any easier, otherwise pve gets stale and repetivive
I really enjoyed gliding, but as others have mentioned, I want a flight-time indicator.
When I landed, the flight-time indicator vanished and I didn’t know if it was safe to glide again right away. Turns out you can glide again right away, but your flight-time won’t be recharged and you can fall to your death right away.
After awhile you’ll figure it out yourself by practice and failing loool
it recharges really quick though imo
Practice(hotjoin) gives you less rank points anyway, the system is fine as it is.
forcing people into a mode where people want to win win win, will result in less people joining , or the community becoming more toxic with elitist vs casual

I agree 100%, the class still feels incomplete with the lack of customization. Class feels too simple and lacks customizable depth.

I chose the greatsword reward on my guardian and the sword reward on another character I’m leveling. I also want to get the mace, focus and possibly the scepter. And the trident is nice too.
As it stands now, no matter what, those level 30 weapons I receive as a reward that I’m allowed to choose do not have the skin unlocked in my wardrobe when I either right click on it or equip it.
I can only imagine it is so we won’t all be farming them. I will have to spend gold to get them. I usually use greatsword, but I like the sword and shield for my swap.
you have to look at the skin name, not the weapon name. You character level has nothing to do with being able to use skins from your wardrobe. A lot of the swords use the same skin, especially lower level ones.
Pretty sure it’s just you not understanding how the system works

i plan on making my rev with the light pink skin color lol, from far away they look human.
and sylvari have awesome hair colors and their skin glows, i mean that’s like the best thing ever
You guys have it allllll wrong. That picture clearly shows that the Elite is the Wolverine Legend and he is in his new Glint-attributed costume! His elite skill will be “Call X-Men” as a shout and summons his old teammates for 30 seconds to attack by your side. The rest of the utility skills grant you different claw attacks.

First i love Rev, and I plan on it being my main. But as a pvp player mentality wise, rev is too predictable atm. Feels incomplete.
You pick 2 weapons and 2 legends . . .that’s it
No way to individualize yourself from others who pick the same weapons and legends as you.
Now it would be different if we had more weapons or legends to choose from, but we are pretty limited on both those choices. From a pvp standpoint my opponent knows all my skills before i even use any. We are the ONLY class that is like this.
There is no way to personalize the class, to make you feel your playing the class your way, not just stuck with options u didn’t choose. Yes traits will make a huge difference in play style but that shouldn’t be counted for this, because it’s the skills that win you fights(mostly) and atm we’re entirely predictable.

Anyone agree? Let’s hear people’s opinions to help make this class live up to it’s potential, for all of those who never fully felt satisfied with the other 8 classes.

I’m hoping racial skills arn’t added yet same way as underwater isn’t.
i mean why couldnt we just use the racial elites same as the legend elites and give it 50 enery usage, just swap it with the legends
just give it its normal cooldown or somehting i dunno, might need some tweaking
the lack of racial skills though is really a buzzkill, especially with how little customization rev’s have compared to other classes. i mean essentailly were going to be easy to read after a month since we all will be very similiar with our fighting styles. theres no custimization
literally had someone ask me “how did you die?” when i used sword 3 at them from range, when they were trying to kill my teammate(i had low hp at the time too)
weapon swap made the class finally feel complete
if it’s too complex for you to use, just don’t use it. I feel it works perfectly and synergy is fine. Switching weapons while keeping the same legend is great.
It’s way more fun than the last time we got to play it. weapon swap is a godsend
plus we now get glow on our arms based off our legends, that is awesome!
