I wonder if Devs have queues?
- To the people who think that the reset is okay: please don’t. Have sympathy for your fellow players. If you WvW or PvP, this is most comparable there — would you not fight to keep the progression you made there, especially if your rank was going to be cut in half or more?
If PvP wasn’t account bound progression then I would never touch it considering PvP leveling is a big grind.
If WvW progression was reset to a lower level but changed to account bound, I would happily take it.
It is unfortunate for the players that grinded their toons to high level fractals get reset, but you all have already got your rewards from those runs. You are not losing anything except the level progression that you can get in less than a week.
To be honest, there seems to be a big disagreement between account bound and non account bound stuff between anet devs. They should just make everything account bound.
Give these players a unique title and back piece that won’t be available after the patch and problems solved.
As a new player who always had difficulty running fractals 10+ with no solid PvE group , I welcome all these changes.

This has been asked several times. The answer is that GW2 is not alt friendly. That is why I rolled two warriors: one for PvE and one for WvW.
So why Anet has no love for Scouts and players on Siege?
Someone who spends 10-20 minutes trebbing a tower’s wall deserves more than 60 WXP when the zerg that run in the lord room get XP and Karma and Coins. and WXP.
What about those scouts that keep the towers safe for hours while the whole zerg is capping stuff and collecting bags?

This is what happens when the achievements are designed by a PvE’er dev and never tested. I am on Tier 1 an play 10 hours WvW everyday and I am only 10%-15% done on the Merc camp.
I mean seriously you put 30 towers (can be done in 1-5 hours) and then the Merc camp (can be done only in EB and 100-1000 hours)???

Anet, Whatever you do for season 2 (if any). Please never include these achievements again:
- Supplies Severed 35: Kill 225 enemy supply caravan
This is very difficult for heavies since they are not as fast as players in lighter armor and the yaks die too quick that it is difficult to even get a hit.
- Mists Merc Camp Vanquisher: Capture 50 mercenary camps.
Only available in EBG and there is already reports of this being buggy and not awarding the players if the camp is not in a natural state.
- Demolition Expert: Destroy 30 enemy wall or gate.
Yeah PvE door doesn’t work or buggy (even with my zerker warrior build) and it is difficult to get on rams without getting kicked off by other player.
Increasing the other achievements should be fine as long as you keep it fair and not include these….
- Not going to mention the JPs since some players enjoy it….but seriously there shouldn’t be any JPs in WvW in the first place but I am in peace with the idea now…

Not a bad idea but it’s not hard to bind a key to AOE loot and just hit it when yellow numbers pop up on your screen. You don’t have to stop running/fighting/whatever, loot is just magically placed in your bags. It has like a 600-900 range. I’ve gotten used to just hitting my AOE loot key whenyellow pops up that it’s become second nature. Now the system before AOE loot was hell.
Yeah try doing that on Tier 1 three way zerg fight in SMC with the skill lag and 5 fps….good luck

Seems like you have two options, press F or continue the fight. Does it really take that long to hit one key? They even made it area effect. Working as intended. There are much more pressing issues in wvw than getting your common helm or tattered leather.

I am not a commander but I hate seeing our commander stuck in queues when some up leveled players getting thier gathering daily done in WvW bLs….

As someone who played a ranger for WvW and clocked over 1k hours with that toon in WvW, the dependencies of the ranger to his pet can cripple all the skills when the pet dies. Even a beastmaster drake or bear is not smart enough to last more than 2 seconds in zerg fights (even if you ask the pet to guard and not attack).
I would go with a shield/sword/hammer warrior all PVT gear.
There should be an option for automatic loot (Not just AoE loot) to collect the bags and chests as they drop, instead of pressing F or the mapped loot key.
I cannot count the times that I didn’t have time to go back and collect my bags in a zerg fight or even died beside a circle of bags/chest in the lords room in SMC.
Since it is optional, then anyone against this idea can leave it off.
It is not hard when each player in a guild is offered 4000 golds to transfer. But that is part of the war and should be totally fine. It is up to teh guild to decide if they want to transfer or not….
Level 80 players should get priority in queues instead of haaving 20 up-levels killing yaks to level when the commander is waiting in queue.

We should really be given the option to save WvW builds for the same toon that we use in PvE.
Right now I have a warrior built for WvW and totally useless in PvE and need to roll a second warrior just to make it for PvE. same goes for my other 4 toons which are PvE and can’t bring them to WvW.
We needed this last year but now is OK too. Just make it happen please.

Is it just me or the living story events are starting to give less rewards as we progress through them?
Back in the Queen of Guantlet or the scarlet’s invasions, we used to get at least one chest and lots of loot per chmap and events. Now with the latest LS we are getting one silver which is spent in wp’ing to the next event.
Where is the fun/loot/gold in that?
Still not fixed after the latest patch.

If you are trying to encourage PvE players to enter WvW then you should introduce build templates or have a default WvW build for each class (just like sPvP).

It was a nice attempt to give something to WvW players but it failed bad. So hopefully never. If they can find a way to keep WvW and PvE players separate then I welcome the seasons anytime. No WvW’er on Tier1 wants a PvE CoF1 runner to be a rally bait for the the enemy zerg and no PvE player wants my WvW build mesmer for Fractal 40 run.

How about creating a new WvW map and putting all the JPs there? The ultimate PvP Jumping Puzzle arena!!!!
Benefits:
- Easier for PvE players to access
- Reduce queues for WvW maps
- Help getting more guilds and teams doing PvP JPs.
Somehow I am not getting the achievement counter for “Mists Merc Camp Vanquisher” properly. It seems that if the camp is already in a color state then capping it won’t get you the points. The only way to get it is if the camp is in neutral state.
Also this this achievement can only be done in EB which makes it harder to get since EB has the worst queues.
I preferred having to cap more towers instead of only ~70 and not deal with 100 Mists Merc Camp Vanquisher caps.

I love this game but absolutely hate JPs and trying to do them in WvW is even worst than in PvE. The last thing I need in my life is to deal with gankers in WvW JPs when I want to have some fun.
If this game turns into a JP game then ANet can kiss my wallet goodbye and I can finally attempt to finish my huge backlog of other games/MMOs.
Keep the JPs in PvE where I can ignore them. If I want a game for jumping puzzles, then I go but a 2D jumping puzzle game and not play a MMO.

Performance is something that is being worked on for the entirety of the game. We are aware of the issues and are in the process of addressing them as rapidly as we can. Please go to the above link to get more detailed information as Bill is really the point person for all of this work right now. While the impacts of performance are quite clear in WvW, it is not isolated to just WvW and we are in the process of making these changes to the entirety of the game. Direct questions and concerns to that post.
Thanks for the efforts to fix the issue. However I would like to point out that the skill lag that some of us are experiencing is getting extermely bad. For example in a lot of zerg vs zerg fights, many of us can’t even use the healing skills and attack ‘1’ executes maybe once every 10 seconds.
Maybe you can optimize some of the skills as priority such as heal and ‘1’ attack skills during large battles.
if only they can implement a debuff that make you take more damage if there are more than 5 people within your melee range……
well we already have that. it is called major skill lag which doesn’t allow you to heal or attack.
