Did you get any ticket scraps? You can use 10 ticket scraps to convert into a Claim Ticket and buy one skin from the BLT Specialist.

You were never able to get a Consumable Token by salvaging. You can only Buy them and have a small chance to get them from a chest.
weird because I had ~40 of them and never bought any…..
So to craft anything in PvP using PvP crafting material, we need Consumable Token. These used to drop from the chests and salavaging PvP armor/weapons.
Since the last patch back in December when you guys introduced the new PvP glory vendor, I haven’t got a single Consumable Token from 100 tPvP chests, 2 monthlies, 60 PvP daily chests and salvaing over 300 exotic PvP armor and weapons. The only way to get Consumable Token now is to spend the glory points and actaully buy them.
So bascially you going to remove all the PvP salvaging material some time coming soon and we can eigther destroy them or spend glory points to buy Consumable Token so we can craft stuff?
Please explain why Consumable Token is removed?
until the gem store runs out of items to sell it will be permanent…

Living stories are not bs…The LS items in the gems store is the reason you can play free WvW…and I am glad the devs are taking their time to make sure merging WvW XP doesn’t break the game…

No. Think of EoTM as a nested overflow. So once a map gets overflowed another instance of EoTM is created.

Some people only have fun WHEN they are learning and displaying mastery of skill. If you are not like that, cool. No problem. We love and accept you just as you are. We made most of our game content for you! Don’t ever change.
This worries me a bit, Josh. Most people (I guess) aren’t new players, GW2 isn’t like any jump’n run which you play days / maybe a few weeks. GW2 is a game which many people play for months now, and it’s inevitable that the player becomes better in that time. Players also get levels and gear which makes them even more powerful, so you could be afk in a zone, having mobs attacking you and you will survive. You can entirely ignore mobs by running away in most zones, since they can’t keep up with the player at any time (few use cc skills on you and if they do, they do it rarely).
I don’t like that. It limits the challenging content for players who enjoy a interesting gameplay to level 80 zones mostly imho.
When we look at current games we see the popularity of really difficult games. Dark Souls was huge because of that, Tribulation Mode in GW2 was loved and press enjoys the “higher” difficulty in WildStar.
My suggestion: include really challenging environment within each zone, which opens up new areas to explore with strong monsters to fight. Not only small areas but actually bigger parts of a zone. Something where you have to prove that you know how to dodge, or learn certain patterns. This way even new players could start to learn how to meet a challenge while players who don’t like this simply stay away from this parts of the map.
Making every area accessible by just ignoring the mobs while running through makes the game feel trivial in these parts imho.

Anyways, this discussion is not about challenging content. That has been discussed many times in the past and as you said many other game that are challenging. I also love challenging games like demon souls and dark souls, but this topic is about changing the way we play and work with other players in bigger groups to accomplish things.
There is already challenging content in the game. It is called fractals level 49+….

The screenshot is the link provided. the tree that you climb is removed and replaced by a Probe. Me and 2 other players were trying to get to the vista using the wiki and finally gave up.
Currently this vista on bloodtide coast is not accessible due to Energy Probe map change:

The idea of bringing players together and teach them organization is cool, but it needs a lot more than a world boss to achieve that in a MMO.
Adding a new world event that is insanely hard to do and requires 100% coordination will only separate players and cause more frustration.
If you are expecting every player to go and watch youtube walkthrough and read dulfy then you are simply living on the moon….
Step down on earth and accept your current player base and don’t try to create things to change how we play….

Not have content that the maps can’t handle. If the fundamental design of the game is flawed and allows max 100 players on a map then they shouldn’t release contents that causes the overflow.
I don’t know how crafting of an ascended armor works but it should be possible to put my exotic armor in the discovery or upgrade tab of the crafting station and add some ascended mats and BAM!!! there is my ascended armor piece with the increased stats of exactly what I wanted….
My exotic sentinel armor set cost me more than 100 G….now the best thing I can do is to salvage it? I can’t even transfer it to another toon because its soulbound…..
The way ascended armor was introduced was kind of rushed imo and mostly done for gold sink….It should have been designed to allow players with exotics to upgrade to ascended…
I will continue playing with my exotic set and if I feel that ascended stats are required to survive PvE (outside fractals) and WvW, then I will leave the game….
Why do the causal players have to pay the price if some kids playing 24/7 farming 18 hours a day sitting on 100k golds find the game boring or not challenging? while the causal players still have to work for the exotics not to mention the ascended stuff?
People who were not here last year missed the events in there.

I visited it for the first time today and after 5 minutes I felt my brain cells are dying slowly…..
With legendary weapon/(armor! future???) as an exception, The rest of the weapon/armor (rare/exotic/ascended) should be obtainable by running dungeons/WvW/PvE and whatever the game offers in a reasonable amount of time…
…and not by crafting + gold.
I read Turtle Dragon.9241 and I totally agree with the comments.
The currently implemented vertical progression is totally wrong. There should be a better ladder to work your way in a vertical gear/skin acquisition rather than discarding everything that you worked for to get the next tier of things….
Solution: get rid of soulbound and move towards accountbound.
This is my first MMO and speaking as someone who has not played any other MMOs to compare GW2 with…
First of all, when you make a design decision, stick with it….Don’t reset progress and rank and leaderboards and etc….people actually put time and effort toward these things…I feel that there are too many wrong decisions made when introducing something and then you try to fix it 3 months down the road???
- Fractals: I was only lvl 3 fractals before Fracture LS and now I am lvl 20 because now I run fractals…but the decision to reset the progress of others was wrong…you made a bad decision to make the fractal level progress soulbound at first and tried to fix it with no sense of sympathy for others….
- PvP glory….so someone wake up someday and said we are going to remove PvP glory, PvP ranks, PvP leaderboards? just like that? here is some armor that you can buy with your hard earned glory+ gold…and now we give you 30 silvers for win,,,,yeah but no thanks….
- WvW ranks and soulbound/accountbound: Same thing…..one day its soulbound and next day its accountbound….accountbound was the right way to go from the beginning…So why make bad decisions when you introduce something in the game that needs to go in a 180 degrees turn after 2 months? You should know your community better by now….
- Ascended Gear: enough has been said that it is waste of time to even mention it….

How come there is no achievements/titles for reaching ranks in WvW? At least 10 achievements per 100 ranks or something and a title for rank 500/1000/etc?

I guess it won’t happen because you have to open a location in canada, but buying $20 worth of gems will end up costing $23-24 CDN after the exchange and credit card exchange fee….Even with paypal and bypassing the credit card company costs the exchnage rate $22-$23…
Also the Gems card in Canada are not available anymore and only amazon.ca sells them for $27 + Taxes….
Unfortunaltly it is a deal breaker for some of us…

WvW was never intended to be completely balanced, so I don’t agree.
Unless you want to remove food/utility/wvw lvl ups/ascended weapons/armor/the buffs that come from your server doing well in wvw/runes/stacking sigils

I hear what you are saying but then why PvP was not intended to be like PvE/WvW. In other games you can have buffs, gears, weapons, etc that nobody has access to until they unlock it…
So if PvP can be seperated from PvE, why can’t WvW….
It depends if you see WvW as a form of PvE or PvP…I see it as a diffrent PvP mode….
I prefer to win by having better skills rather than food buffs and having crafted better gears…

I just wanted to throw in a comment and thank Anet for the new changes to PvP.
Taking into account that PvP has its own player base and some people only PvP in this game, has added a lot of values to keep PvP alive.
in other words. none of that ascended cratfted (money buys) stuff are welcomed in PvP land….
Now please do the same with WvW….

If I am spending my hard earned PvP glory on dungeon set and then it doesn’t make sense to farm dungeons 60 times to get enough tokens to get the set in PvE?

ascended armor stats arent a huge increase, you’ll be okay
I laugh at these comments….so because exotics is a slight increase to rares, then we can use rares in WvW? why not just use greens? no wait blues work fine?
Of course it is a slight increase in stats…but it is that slight upgrade that keeps you alive in Zerg fights….
You can sya the same thing about food and oil. It is a slight increase so why bother? because 70+ vitality makes a huge difference when you are standing in 100 necro AoEs and ACs firing down on you..
most people are 29-32k hp warriors in zerg fights. is 33k hp going to save your life? if you are down to 1k hp, odds are your backliners are dead and your melee train is slowly dying.
since you brought up zerg fights, meaning you run in the blob, im sure you’ve taken keeps/smc/garri. you have the mats you need anyway.
