This patch was a total disappointment for me. Where are my kitten signet reworks/buffs? Where are the reworked utilities? Where is the build variety? I was hoping so much, at least hoping signets to work properly. I feel sad.
There is a small hope in my heart that tomorrow will bring a rework/fix to my dear scepter. And that hideous taunt bug, which disables the scepter builds.
Ranger needs proper signet rework. There are millions of beautiful and cool things that can be done with signets and the trait related to them.
Well I did all of those things and still got nothing. I will say “to hell with it” and destroy those turtle-lickers. But game support really sucks in this particular example.
Yes you give up a utility slot for it, and gain free rune set choice, or get rid of the kitten shouts entirely. And it is like this if they give a utility-speed buf, not a trait related one.

The reason why everyone is talking about speed buff and not other issues is that we gave up on Anet fixing or reworking many of the important issues. Already 1 year after HoT and no proper fixes. So I just want to move fast with my guardian now.
I call for a zillion of fixes and utility reworks in all professions. A slight change in DH with some buff. And slight nerf to chrono and warrior.
Or to be honest, either nerf all or buff the underpowered ones. And for creators sake, fix the bloody bugs.

My bad, not mesmer, chronomancer. My main was a mesmer some time ago, and still cannot push myself to call it chronomancer. But if I do it for others, I shall do it for Chronomancer also. Swap Mesmer with Chrono and continue to read.

Mesmer has 1 blink ability, portals are useless for personal speed and stealth only helps with movement if you have PU traited. Dragonhunters have 2 leaps (gs #3 & f2), 2 targeted teleports (sword #2 600 range, and a 1200 range meditation) and probably the easiest access to swiftness of any profession.
Also you could potentially argue to get anything on a profession by comparing it to another.
Really dude? Mesmer has a short cd blink and free %25 movement speed ( I do not want to include profession specific bonuses like invisibility, distortion etc.) . Blinking without target gives you the ability to jump on top of the bridges which is a perfect skill in wvw. Guardian sword? Meh. Most professions poop longer than 600 range nowadays. And that blasted sword can be useless due to the reflects.
Guardian needs a speed buff. It is already the weakest profession (not guardian with shouts, which is boring as hell, but DH). And I do not want to lose my utility slot, my weapon set and my trait line just to run. That might be my opinion but slowness is a huge con for roaming. Not to mention, it is boring as hell.
Yes, like I have stated in the title, I have a problem with the Proofs of Heroics currency. Before it became a wallet-able currency, I used to stock them in my bank. But somehow a part of it remained after the patch and now I cannot transfer them into my wallet, or give it to my bank character. It sticks in my bank and occupies a slot (I can change the slot though, that is a silver lining)

It does not need an extra. Why would you already buff a great skill? It deals dmg, its cd is not that high, good mobility, nice and juicy. Like the one before me said : instead of changing already useful ones, devs should fix the glue-eating ones.

Guildwars lacks the precise archetypes either in skill or in game play. I have been doing the same mistake, searching for a true wizard, a good healer, real archer… etc. But although similar in concept, neither of the professions are close to its archetype. It is fun though.
Well as a RoF player I have no problem with GH or AM(except they blob like hell but it is a playstyle). But I disagree of the idea that “RoF is left alone usually”. In reality, AM and GH first destroys RoF, then continues to fight among themselves. It is not like taking a battlefield advantage, I underline this part. They mutually destroy RoF “first”.
RoF is not a very good wvw server. We are outmanned and not-organized. Especially after WSR merging, our coordination went down the poopyhole. I am accustomed to see the outnumbered buff on my char. AM and GH are not deliberately double teaming, no. They want to get rid of the little brother, so they can continue their own fight. They have every right. But RoF has every right to complain and demand another match-up after 6 weeks of pure poopstorm.
Dude, RoF is being double teamed. I have seen several times. Just yesterday night it was a real funfest in the overlook, I was there. I know you mean well but even guys in your server (assuming that you are from GH) admitted this. Although it is not against rules, it is not very pleasant either.
Retreat’s swiftness is corruptable. That is the worst part of it. I use traveler’s runes for my dh. It is not the best, but it is ok.
ps: There should be a trait giving movement speed, or a signet.
There is not a single elite spec-meta build that needs high level of skill to win. From thief to ele, it is pretty simple. 4-5 combo’s required only. Player intelligence is rewarded in many situations if you have a nice server and good teaming. Otherwise, every prof. forum is complaining about the unskillfulness (is that the word? meh what the heck.)
Lol, RoF is currently having a slight issue with double teaming. If anyone wants proof, ask comms about footage and stuff.
Double teaming is really a problem when the opponents do not change for a long time.

Yep, if I trait air, all is fine and nice. If I go water + earth then I need some blasts. Sadly in wvw there are too many ambushers, so swapping utility is not always available. I like the durability runes but my heart lies within the scepter focus fresh air still. I still hope a good rework on scepter.

I did buy the runes and do the combo as you said. It is the only way to get proper swiftness but it tends to feel too much work just to run properly In any case it is a good build, a tad bit too tanky. Thanks for your help and interest
Nobody asks the right question to op here; Can you kite? If yes, you have many good options. If no, try burst-down-and-gone builds. Both are fine, they depend on your playstyle.
Btw if those immature arguments are necessary to play in T1, you should stay away. Come to low tiers where respect is more easy to find.

Two years ago I made a mistake and played engineer. And now whenever I play with my main (ele) or another class I tend to turn back to engi. And sadly I am not very good at it. I can hold myself really well with my ele and ranger, but when it comes to engi, it is a different situation. I learned how to play engi before all this scrapper thingybut now I am flying blind.

What would be the alternative for the durability rune? I play marauder ( celestial trinket)dagger warhorn ele with fresh air+earth+tempest (aura). I do not have mastery for durability and wonder what other runea might work until i get them.
I think pure warrior is the only profession that can be a serious threat against new elite specs. This is my personal opinion but whenever I play with gs/axe-shield combo, I do not feel that much underpowered.
No he is right. It is not about graphics I guess. Today we had a terrible lag at Eb, with 40+fps and 70 ping. Especially Eb is sufferring immense amounta of lagging. Most of the time skills are not working properly when this happens.

I would suggest buffing tricks and deception skills and nerfing others a little. I am disgusted with the new thief forceful builds. You either play x/x or x/y, or you are dead. There are wonderful utilities that a thief can use, but some do not work (cough…scorpion wire) and some not that effective ( all others maybe).
Dagger storm should be 60 seconds
Thieves guild should be more useful and 120 seconds
Basilisk venom should be 60 seconds with a reduction trait not lesser than 45 seconds.

So it seems you think that Gun Squad guys are good, and you felt the need for proving that in the forums. I haven’t heard about that particular guild, or their builds ( I like using my own builds) but why bother? If you desire, edit builds on Metabattle, create a new website etc. But this seems so bothersome.

That said its no longer actual. Rev weakness to condi was the price for being extreme strong vs power builds. Since all the nerfs that changed a bit this situation rev weakness to condi should change as well. Balance – give n take, not just take take with 0 compensation.
How did rev specifically grow weaker to power builds?
Read patch notes, there are many nerfs for revs/heralds, some justified, some not.

I am sorry, I tend to be more gentle when I talk about someone else’s job quality or ideas, but I want to ask one thing; How did you guys at anet missed all these bugs? I mean I have not seen anything like this in any other MMORPG. People are still waiting for a bug fix. I repeat, it is not a balance fix, it is a bug fix. Things that should never happened, but happened because of Anet’s own mistakes or carelessness. And players are suffering because of that.
I assume it is not an easy thing to do, these bug fixes. But who allowed these mistakes in the first place? And why are people who loves to play revenant (only a small bunch remains) still suffer from these problems? I thank our staff for answering swiftly, and I know it is not his own mistake but I feel he can deliver my questions and my wonders about compensation to the responsible ones.
Tomes should be the next update with proper support/heal and GUARDING skills. Like a kit, one tome for defense, one tome for heal would be very interesting. I would definitely play that.
I think dh is pretty weak. Even in pug setting ( I am a pug) traps are too easy to dodge, movement speed is way slow, and health bar is too low to handle a proper burst. I love the class but I do not think the current state is that good.
I am sorry but am I reading all these right? Are you seriously arguing about the power/dmg/etc of the ghost thief? That build should not exist. No class should hit and stay invis. That is simple. It is not a matter of power or effectivity.
I am sorry but what is wrong with rev’s stability? Yes Rev’s dodge gives him 2 stacks of stability if traited, but that is not that much compared to the other professions and their defenses. And also I do not feel that spending a dodge is that smart just to get stability.
Condi cleanse would not be an issue if the legends were planned carefully. Even with jalis or ventari, condi bomb is too much to handle if your opponent is above average. Ventari should be buffed, jalis should be reworked (for cooldowns and durations, balance is a fragile thing). Mallyx seems powerful enough, never played it so cannot comment on it. But I love ventari and jalis combo, support rev idea, so I wish to see it normally.
Every class can stack swiftness without a problem (or already have a trait about movement speed) except guardians. I love playing guard, but that movement issue is a huge problem for me as I only do wvw mostly. I would even accept a signet for movement and burn one of my utility slots for it.
I have been playing rev for 4 days and I am already fed up with bugs, problems and issues with the profession. I cannot understand how a person can choose to suffer like this. I liked the class but come on…
That would have been very different if the devs made astral force something different than a drugged death shroud. I like druid but it is neither for dps nor for best pve for my taste.
I know I am late but best racials are with the asura. I play human and would never give that up but if ypu are looking for a racial comparison, asura has the best ones.
Every class has a form of reflection/ projectile negation among other defense types. But it is not the real problem. There are tons of gap closers that negates your ranged style of play. And together they bring a horrible annoyance to ranged combatants.
People hate kiting professions. They feel helpless if they are dropped down from a range. So they hate ranged combat, and call it “noob”. But only recent I have seen auch hate for ranged combat by both players and developers. Nearly evert class is forced to play a melee-ish build.
The profession has no mix-match option in utilities and elite skills. At least I desire several different legends to bring more build variety. Different types of damage legends would be excellent for me. But for now I would be satisfied with better balance fix in current legends.
