Remove the coin cost from upgrades. Hundreds of supply is enough of a cost already.
Replace it with karma.
Or lessen the coin cost and add a karma cost to balance it out. I think that idea would lessen the burden but not spread the cost around though. I still think having deposits for upgrades is the best idea. Perhaps have it be a NPC as spawn that you select from some sort of menu.
Our EB is sometimes a Karma train that runs from fights sometimes strategic play. Sometimes good at open field fights sometimes not. It all depends on who was commanding.
We appreciate the constructive criticism however the trash talk is not welcome.
Bannock has a lot of respect from our server as a whole. However he has to work with what he is dealt. There was quite a few on TS however if you said there was 60 I can guarantee you the majority of them were not on Teamspeak. Whenever you see numbers of those sizes the majority of them are not on teamspeak. The same can be said for most servers.
What I saw happening is instead of taking your bait to have all of our core WvW players run EB the core WvW players joined Yulos training event that was scheduled that night.
When I was playing from about 7pm MST to 12PM MST I saw the Guilds that play WvW often stay our of our EB they were fighting elsewhere. Oh and if you were all in EB and don’t have strong numbers how come you had enough numbers to hold our SW tower for a bit that we were only able to take back after it was trebed it to death.
Also BP please remember to be respectful in your criticism.
(edited by anzenketh.3759)
BP held it for 80 hours, so that’s 320 score ticks of a bonus 25 points. = 8k point bonus (16K if you count it as points you didn’t get) earned through defense and communication. Or about 1/5 of the point difference between our servers.
Also not counting the insane amount of gold, badges and supplies spent on siege we destroyed.
Lost it at 4am to a zerg/golem rush. You weren’t the only one in bed asleep.
I’m not sure why you keep crediting it to communication, yak escorting, etc etc while ignoring the fact that numbers held it. All the rest made it possible to bring the numbers to bear, but without one, the other fails. As Straegen said, putting together the network that enables those numbers to be brought to bear is admirable, it’s just a little amusing to see the mental contortion act some of you go through in order to attribute victory through numbers to anything but those numbers. In fact, with those numbers available, all you really needed was one guy inside to call backup. All the yak escorting and manning siege 24/7 could have been skipped.
I didn’t really buy into it when that AR guy said the same thing earlier, but I’m starting to think he was onto something
The thing is though the small group of escorting of the yacks and constant defence make them able to upgrade to a waypoint which allowed the numbers to come in a lot faster then they would have otherwise. And the small numbers watching hills notified the zerg to arrive. The zerg did not arrive via spawn it arrived via hills.
So part of the credit should also go to the fact that the game is still not working as designed by locking out a waypoint when it is under attack no matter the circumstances.
I don’t know, when we got in we were out of supply, if they had to come from spawn it would only have been an extra 90-120 seconds. We wouldn’t have been in. I think it was sheer luck that we even got in through all that siege in the first place. How they failed to cap a single camp in all that time with the numbers they had before they called in the zerg is beyond me. At one point we had all of two guys guarding the north exit to stop them getting northeast camp.
No we lost the first time we got in because we were too organized. Got separated and got wiped. Plain and simple. There were too many commanders on the map people did not know where to go or what to do. When we took it we were extremely organized. Read our community server forums. You will get a lot of information there.
And that is different then custom arena’s or sPvP how? You will actually get what you want there while in WvW it is up to the luck of the draw and who is on that day on if you will get what you want.
sPvP is a static, point based environment, it is not similar at all, even our toons do not play the same in sPvP.
Roaming play in WvW is about variety and the surprise. Everything from build to numbers is different, and because it is different your own build and group composition must be tailored to handle a wide assortment of situations, not a set static setup based on a given map like in sPvP.
I have no issues with zergs, I think they are an important part of the game. I have issues with a game that does not promote people moving beyond the zerg, advancing their play to add strategy and tactics to the game. PvP is about competitive play, even in WvW.
Ahh on that I would agree to a degree.
Perhaps this thread is where your comments would be more beneficial fix the game mechanics that are causing people to be discouraged from upgrading and defending you fix the zerg issue.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Discouraged-from-Upgrading-Towers
My point is more instead of complaining that it is a zergfest help the community identify why it is a zergfest and inform others that there are other (sometimes more profitable options).
And the game does reward non-zerging people just don’t realize it.
For example if I am defending a keep under attack that is well sieged I will get more coin and karma and a decent amount of bags in 15 minutes then I will running in the zerg in EB. Why rewards come every 3 minutes. A sustained siege and attack is much more rewarding then a karma train.

I’ll make it very clear for you buddy. The competitive small man teams come from games 3-10 years ago with open world roaming competitive based pvp. Clearly you haven’t experienced this or else you wouldn’t have posted what you did. World vs world in gw2 is the first 3-faction open world system in 6-7 years. All other have been 2 faction or just garbage. You have people in this game that actually came here SOLEY to kill players, not wanting to feel “epic” by having 60 people in a fight or sitting on siege. They actually want to push themselves personally with their character and other teammates characters to win battles that are super hard to win. Like. 3v10+ or a 5v 15 or even better a 5v5 fighting a team more organized and better talented then your own….
And that is different then custom arena’s or sPvP how? You will actually get what you want there while in WvW it is up to the luck of the draw and who is on that day on if you will get what you want.
So what do you expect the defenders to do? It is the playerbase destroying WvW. If you hate the karma train don’t join one help defend. Yes we know it is long boring and not rewarding. That is what needs to change. The game help in that regards by offering more rewards for doing preparation and defending and lowering the cost or burden from just a small group of individuals.
It is because of the people fortifying keeps and towers that make for more drawn out fights like the one that we recently had over our hills. We do not know what BP’s numbers were but because they had it seiged up like crazy we could not just zerg in there and take it.
More of what we are saying is make it easier for the defenders to prepare so that the game could be played the way it was designed. Massive epic battles for towers and keeps.
The question is how to make it easier for the defenders.
I guess it’s just something we don’t think about in my groups. We take a keep, someone will volunteer to set up siege, someone will stay behind to start upgrades, and we just get stuff done.
It’s understandable if some people have cash issues and don’t want to spend the cash on a questionable investment, and that’s fine. But by and large I don’t see a need for any more rewards in WvW than already exist, and I’m certainly not concerned with my gold/hour when I’m in there.
And I think that is really where the problem lies there are some servers where guilds preform the upgrades then there are some servers to where individuals get stuck with it.
The problem is not that we are asking to be rewarded for defending. Rewards will get more people to do it which is why we are talking about it. We are asking for the burden to be lessened.
Remove the cost/reduce the cost/make it easy to spread the cost around. How to do that is what we are discussing. How would you lessen the workload for the defenders on the servers that just don’t have the help they need.
Funny thing is I heard the game was not designed for people spamming the waypoint like that. However they have not come up with a way to stop it. I think it would require reworking some core mechanics of the game.
If you hate running with the zerg. Don’t your borderlands and the enemy borderlands would love the company.
So, yes, there are many people who do care and who do want to do what’s best for there server, and not just themselves in terms of loot and WXP. Hopefully you’ll get to experience that at some point.
Of course that’s part of the problem right there….a lot of people that would never otherwise touch WvW go there because there are potential rewards. You see people talk about things like, “WvW Karma Train”, just rushing about flipping and abandoning paper-gate towers over and over.
Heck, even on THIS forum…the WvW forum, for petes sake…I see a lot of people talking about how the score is dumb, how playing to win is dumb, how you should just find the most efficient farming method and let the tryhards get their server nerd points, all that jazz.
So, oh well. Let them worry about how much gold/hour it costs to upgrade a keep.
So what do you expect the defenders to do? It is the playerbase destroying WvW. If you hate the karma train don’t join one help defend. Yes we know it is long boring and not rewarding. Any dueling being had this afternoon? Would love to have a fight club of some sort going on before I work tonight!
Shakes my head in shame. Hopefully Custom Arena’s will stop this nonsense.
I think you will find the people stating that they are discouraged about upgrading this is only the tip of the iceberg of the no-one wants to defend complaint. This is just the thing that ArenaNet can make it easier for us and give players more incentive to defend as opposed to hopping on the karma chain.
As for those who say. Do whatever is fun comment. The problem is that it is not the way the game should be played. If there was absolutely no reason to defend no-one would defend due to it is not cost effective to do so. Problem is there is only a small reason to it is it takes too long and costs too much. We defend due to it is the right thing to do. Every time someone puts in a upgrade they feel like they are doing a service to their server. Why do they do this because of pride and respect because it is certainly not for any monetary reward like karma coin or WxP.
True pride or something that you can be proud of being a part of does not come from victory. It does not come from knowledge. It does not come from power or numbers. It does not come from the pounding of the chests or of the crys of battle. It comes from selfless service. Why else is a parent so proud of their child. Or a soldier so proud of their country. Because I know this is why I like to live by the words of the US president JFK and the same goes for everything I take pride in.
I do not ask not what my server can do for me — I ask what I can do for my server.
This is the vision I share. This is what I consider fun. This is what I think a lot of defenders find fun.
The problem is we have been doing this for so long with so little help it is wearing on us. Why? because there is little incentive for players to defend what they have. Players capture then they get bored. They leave. And the defenders are left all alone. The delayed swords come and it is gone.
Can’t solve the problem well so why not lighten some of the burden us defenders have.
Thanks for our hills back. The majority of our ranking we have was from when we were a Tier 1 Server. We kept this ranking because the previous matchup system was broken. It will take time for us to settle into our true ranking.
We knew full well that it was a battle of attrition to get our hills back. Sadly BP you lost because we were willing to stay up later or we have more oceanics. Don’t know which. Also the force you meet when we took it was more of the organized group. Earlier it was a bit of both.
Hopefully the core WvW players learned a lesson this matchup. And by core I mean those that are in the battle for winning. The battle is won or lost in the borderlands. You don’t want to just let it fold because if a invader wants to hold it they can and they will. We will still have randoms go into EB to follow whatever commander is there. That is fine let them.
Keep it classy and remember that true pride is not won by the blowing of the horn or of the beating of the chest. True pride in the server and the fun that comes with it is given by selfless service to your server.
(edited by anzenketh.3759)
If you capture them back again you win. If you lose them you can capture them back more often… so you win more.
And regarding the “end win” with the points ticking: Nobody really cares… cause the match is 1 week and barely anyone plays 24/7 the whole match. So it is not “your” win. Not much incentive to fight for win there. sPvP is different cause you play the whole match(cause it is only <15 mins). You can affect the whole match and then feel good because you won.
Here you feel nothing… cause you might only be able to play a small amount of time… and then not even have time to play at the reset. There is no real “win”. Not a feeling like in sPvP in a tournament match.
The only small wins you feel are after you take a tower or keep(and this feels better if there was a long battle)… but then again if you just lose it and can capture other stuff to get “wins” it doesn’t matter if you lose stuff.
This is exactly how the game should not be played in my opinion. The game was designed to cap and hold not cap and fold. It is this attitude that is discouraging those who want to play the game like it was designed.
My Question is what is causing players to have this attitude? What in the game is encouraging them to have it?
I don’t think that taxes are the way to do it. Especially one from events. Might as well just remove the cost then. Even thought it would allow PvE only players to work a bit towards the rewards they are getting from points in WvW. It still needs to be a gold sink. But either lower the cost or allow players to contribute what they have and are willing to contribute.
It is actually quite simple. If you think there has been a eco nerf all you need to do is supply the following information:
1. Level/Range of items salvaging.
2. Type of Kit used.
3. Rarity used.
4. Ecto’s received.
Until ALL that information is supplied reserve all judgement. Due to the numbers in this thread so far and information given I am going to have to agree that nothing has changed and everything is normal.
I guess I see what you mean, but WXP is literally just a measure of how much time you’ve invested in WvW. It doesn’t really indicate anyone’s skill.
I honestly think it would just encourage even more zerging, because people would just want to jump on the WXP trains to move up the “leaderboard”
Oh you mean like the achievement leader board? Which just shows how much time spent in pve.
As far as wxp leaderboard, yes it should be listed. If anything it at least will show you who are the active particpates in wvw for each server and class.
And that is perhaps why it is not on the leaderboard.
current system is designed so that towers and keeps usually belongs to the weakest servers are flipped as frequent as possible for us to maximize them on the WXP. you flip, i flip back, rinse and repeat, got that ?
enjoy it while it last…..
It should not be that way though. The re-enforcements should help a smaller group stand up to a larger group.
So how did SBI beat AR last week?
We qued 3-4 maps on reset night and then didn’t really show up for the next 3 days. I yelled at the server via our forums and the masses showed up that last 2+ days of the match- up. True story.
True true! Those PvE noobs! <3
Yes but without those PvE noobs Yulo we would not have near the amount of numbers we have in WvW at times. Especially in EB. PvE noobs make great footman for trench style warfare.
So how did SBI beat AR last week?
They had a pajama party on Wednesday night we couldn’t recover from. I think they pvd us to 0. Also Eternal was a problem for us throughout the week. That is where the hive mind is located.
Must have been a early pajama party. Starting at 7 MST. The reason why we are struggling is we had a really bad start of the week. We did not expect BP to be as large as they are. This coupled with the fact that I think we are taking a break more this week.
The problem here is that people are way too focused on “rewards” (Loot, WXP, etc) instead of winning.
I agree that winning should be it’s own reward but it is not. This is because it is a MMO and the reason why people play WvW varies from getting the legendary to completing the daily to having fun. If those all were taken away we would have a lot less people playing WvW. Which is why we are suggesting rewarding for defending more.
I think the core problem is that a lot of players think that it is not worth it to upgrade. After all it is just going to be flipped by the next zerg that comes along.
There are two reasons for this. One reason is that there is this stigma that EB is where all the action is at and no-one wants to come to the boring borderlands to help defend. A cry goes out and no-one comes so the towers and keeps get flipped. Feeding more into the what is the point attitude. Another reason is some servers are severely outnumbered so even if there were enough defenders it would be significantly harder to hold them off.
So far we have discussed the following would be helpful to the small defending community.
1.) Reduce/eliminate the cost of upgrades or don’t require just one person to pay for it. Create a vault to where someone can put a bit here and a bit there into the upgrade.
2.) Make a more defined path for upgrade. So bad upgrade choices are not made causing the coin invested previously to be lost because there is not enough supply in reserves to siege up and defend. Perhaps require 1 or 2/3 of the supply cost to be there before a upgrade is allowed.
3.) Reward the players that pay for the upgrade for their investment. Maybe a small bit of karma/WxP or coin per tick that it is held for those that purchased the upgrades.
One more idea that I came up with is perhaps there needs to be some sort of bullhorn to call all players on your server both in PvE and PvP for re-enforcements so that they can arrive. This would help the morale of those defenders to put out a bullhorn then all the sudden see a larger group come to the call.
The Orbs are a flawed mechanic. It made a strong server stronger. Encouraged cheating to get the valuable bonus. And forced the focus of battles on 3 locations (where the orbs are).
And your bonuses would have players flocking to the strongest servers for those buffs, like vultures on a battlefield.
I would disagree that having orbs increase rewards only would make a strong server stronger. Cheating would still happen as it does no matter what. I am also not stating that orbs are the solution. It was just a idea to get the juices flowing. How would you increase the rewards of defending.
The cost is a gold sink.
However, it does not work as intended, because only a small group of people consistently pay into upgrades. They get to see their investment disappear far more often, and get increasingly frustrated. Because while they spend time and money on upgrades, they are removed from most of the action a.k.a. loot/WXP making the loss even more apparent.
So I tend to agree, remove cost, at least for Towers, as controlling the upgrade process is easy by sniping Dolyaks and capping camps. The gold sink is ineffective.
I personally think lowering the cost of the upgrades would increase the number of people upgrading making it work as a gold sink a lot better. I think that they should be reduced to about half of what they are especially with the frequency that they get flipped in some areas.
Perhaps to offset the lower costs add a maintenance fee. This would also work on making it harder to defend.
The core of the problem is only a small group of people consistently pay for the upgrades. Also this group of people is also frequently the ones that do not join in on the action where the majority of the zerg is. So their income is generally less.
This topic came up on my server forum. I made the point that you are actually rewarded every three minutes both in karma and in coin and not a small amount either. The following event
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Repel_the_enemy_attackers
Rewards for defending as for taking a tower/keep/camp is rewarded only once.
What we are not rewarded enough for is placing/refreshing siege or escorting yacks and preparing for the oncoming war for a keep/tower/camp.
A servermate came up with the following idea:
Re-introduce something like the Orbs again. But this time they affect things people really care about. They need to effect the resources and rewards that players need or desire.
Example:
Possesion of zero orbs grants 1/10 experience/karma/gold gain in WvW.
Possesion of one orb grants normal experience/karma/gold gain in WvW.
Possesion of two orbs grants +50% experience/karma/gold gain in WvW.
Possesion of three orbs grants +100% experience/karma/gold gain in WvW.
This bonus/penalty would be modified by the number of objectives a side held (PPT essentially), as a rough reflection of total WvW population. This way if one side controlled 80% of the maps in WvW then their opponents wouldn’t be overly penalized for having fewer people.
So if side Z controlled zero orbs and 15% of the maps, their penalty could be adjusted upwards from 1/10 exp/karma/gold to normal rewards
And if side X controlled one orb and 20% of the maps their bonus could be adjusted upwards so it is greater than normal
And side Y with two orbs and 65% of the maps would have their bonus adjusted downwards to reflect their population dominance.
These numbers are all adjustable, they just need to take into account the rough population differences at any given time.
What I would like to see is additional reasons to capture something besides PPT and especially a reason to maintain something.
How would you increase the rewards for staying on a borderlands map to defend?
(edited by anzenketh.3759)
First of all get out of our hills. You have had it for long enough.
Second of all.
Guild halls are coming but I don’t think this is the way to do it. The fact that you spent influence to get buffs on it that help the server should be good enough reason to keep it.
Asura Gates would make it too easy to defend. ArenaNet does not like the current WP spam that is happening at the 3 min mark. Asura gates would make it even worse so that is not a good idea in my opinion.
You can get a food vendor it is called a guild bank. Perhaps adding a TP vendor is not that bad of idea though.
Don’t mind the influence gained incentive for how long it is defended however. This might actually encourage guilds to stay and defend. This could be the role that guilds play in WvW.
I would say however the prices of the upgrades need to be looked at. I feel like the cost of the upgrade should be about the amount that you would get back defending it against a average zerg. With 10-20 people.
You know, once again nerfing the drop rate of ectos from rares while people are distracted with Dragon Bash is incredibly shady.
Personally, I strongly doubt that it was an honest mistake in the code last time, and I doubt that it is again this time, but if it is, please please do the right thing and fix it.
Preferably before people have to raise kitten on the forums about it again.
What is your dataset?
Edited.
Thank you. How many of them were today? There was a recent patch that came out today. Also were they just rares or or exotics too and what levels are they? What salvage kits were you using?
Can someone else provide a dataset that disagrees/agrees with the OP?

I would like the idea for them to add other mats besides leather/cloth/ore/ecto to the salvage table of items. It would give me a reason to use the higher salvage kits. Right now it really is not worth it except for exotic for ectos and I use the black lion salvage kits I have for those.
I am just wondering. I salvage a lot and I don’t know what all the precursors are. For those that have obtained them does the system prevent you from accidentally salvaging a precursor?
So far I’ve gotten from the forge:
2 Venom
The Chosen
Chaos Gun
Spark
Rodgort’s Flame
The EnergizerSold them all except for Spark which I used to make Incinerator.
For those that are unaware all of those are precursors to the Legendary. So yes the Legendary’s can be forged using the mystic forge and precursors can be obtained there.

Perhaps adding them to collectables would be beneficial.
The reason why abbreviations are used is for speed. I like your advise to type it out. However I would argue that it should be done on the second time not the first.
I recommend also looking at the manual in this game it is the wiki. Wish it was more wiki and less Dulfy but that is the way things are at the moment.

Funny thing is though ooc is not as common as he thinks as it is not on the wiki.

RNG? You mean Random Number generator? Sorry not up on the terminology. I am so tired of some programmers saying they have a fool proof random number routine. Random is a concept, once you write some code to emulate IT IS NOT RANDOM! All the code can do is occasionally produce a different result. Experts have tried to hammer this home for a very long time and gaming companies seem to think they know better, than the people that created the programming languages.
This, a thousand times this!
RNG in games is a myth. An algorithm programmed to emulate randomness. It is not true randomness.Games should never rely on faulty programmed “Random” algorithms when it comes to real life money. This is not a gambling game. They don’t have a license to gamble electronically so they shouldn’t be doing online Lotto’s or Raffles like this.
Make the darned tickets buyable via gems, via candy, etc. Otherwise you’re just victimizing people who are obsessed with gambling or collecting.
And this is why it does not rely on a random algorithm. It relies on probability with a semi-random number generator. It is just the probability is really low.
Stealth only makes Thiefs annoying at worst.
It is not a mechanic that makes it easier for thieves or mesmers easier to kill players. It creates a element of surprise or a ability to retreat. Because of this fact alone it is not worthy of a nerf. Furthermore it is a core mechanic for a thief. Mesmers vail even outdoes the theifs stealth for WvW.
Not only that your cost is too low and duration is too long even if it was a idea that did not break a core mechanic and strategy of the game.
Did SBI throw in the towel already? Where are all those numbers you had last week?
After last week match against AR I think some of us are taking a break. I personally am enjoying Leveling my Guardian to 80 then getting it’s exotics. Then a commander tag for it.
Sometimes it is a filter sometimes it is people making a joke.
……
If I wanted to hide out from the event and run dungeons, I am stuck getting these ‘crap’ dragon coffers there too. It is just WAY too much. I do not want to see another one.
And as far as the wings.. farmable? That is almost laughable. Who in the world could farm 100,000 pieces of candy? Talk about a grind. I highly doubt that is reasonably possible.
They do drop less in WvW and dungeons from what I hear. I can not say for sure because I am avoiding the mass mob of players. This is the way ArenaNet has always done festivals. Enjoy it as a break from the regular game.
I personally don’t care about the wings. They will just likely sit in my bank. However I am glad to see that ArenaNet and the community found a middle ground just like they did with dyes.
If they do this every month though I myself will likely start getting annoyed. I would say the sweet spot for drop rate is just about as much as the chests in the future.
AR I hope you learned a few things from us. Remember keep it classy. Don’t let the War get to your heads.
IOJ might want to work on your servers self confidence. You are a more formidable opponent than you think. You also have a stronger NA presence then you think. You don’t need to settle for third place There was a possibility that you could have made second.
(edited by anzenketh.3759)
I believe what John says is a great rule of thumb; I just believe that every rule of thumb has times it should be broken. When precursors eventually have a better way to be obtained, I hope there is at least some heads up for the poor folks that farmed for a month just to buy one a day before it comes crashing down.
If you want to trade precursers. Watch the market. Pay attention to trends. I would expect the precursor change to be announced before the patch. I actually expect a few announcements about it before the patch. Personally unless you are the risky type of trader I would not play in that market around patch time.
As for why they are not doing something about their price one of two things actually. First it will take time to do a fix for them due to how they plan to do the fix. Also this fix will require large sweeping changes due to the type of item it is.
(edited by anzenketh.3759)
But candy corn was also used as a crafting material and after the event a few months it was really hard to get and price went up on it.
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/36041
I do not know if Zhaitaffy this is used as crafting material.
OP care to explain how you think the market is broken.
It’s not SoR’s fault the match up is uneven. We have 3 options
1. carry on fighting and playing for ppt against mismatched servers
2. Stop playing the game
3. Move servers (put more money into Anet’s coffers) – being a cynic I wonder if Anet’s economist was behind the changes to get more guilds to transfer servers.I don’t see why the game should force us to stop playing or move servers. At this juncture I must admit I do not know what will happen, because if we get another match up like this we wont have much of a guild left to wvw with anyway. And yes it is that bad (half the guild are playing league of legends, some commanders have not even logged into the game this week).
Option 4 put all your stuff in the bank delete all your characters then transfer servers.
Kinky we were not saying that PvD for oceanics is not a tactic. We are also not complaining about PvD we had to deal with SOS for months THE oceanic server. We know how it feels a lot more then DR does. We are just saying it is not something to be proud of. It is something that A-Net has acknowledged is a problem and have something in the works to fix it. We are not saying it does not take work. We are however saying it take a lot more work to take a keep during the servers prime-time which we do. And most of the AR captures of our borderlands have been 40-50 on our map vs about maybe 10-20 people total. Because for most of the week everyone else was busy elsewhere.
stormbluff, if you need the points that badly.. i can just sleep-in all-day..
Oh, we always admire your 3 or 4 omega-golem-rush at 5 or 7 AM EST.
I’m terribly sorry for using all the tools at our disposal at a time convenient for our oceanic/NA all nighter crew to enjoy a little WvW. I sympathize with how you may feel a little sore about it. Now what’s stopping you guys from doing the same thing back to us? A little guild coordination to start a small golem fund will quickly get you all the omega golems you’ll ever need, and it’s not like it’s an original idea.
Also, haven’t we cleared up by now ACs don’t need LoS to hit things, and if you place one in a good position, you can shoot inside towers without using any hacks? That it’s part of the game mechanic seems like a more reasonable explanation than “omg everyone from every server is doing it because hacks!!11!!”.
How much do we have to repeat our self. There is no Guild Coordination with us we are a PvX server. There is only 1 WvW guild. And some more dedicated WvW guilds. KARM, TB, KEWI. You are fighting a bunch of people on Teamspeak herding a bunch of cats around and we do that well.
As for shooting inside towers. Last time I checked you should not be able to target inside the lords room on any tower. Period.
Well done, AR
actually I hate to post that kind of screenshot, but you are the only one and special oneHaha, I was the IoJ Asuran watching you guys ram the AR keep gate down; and I had a sneaky suspicion that you were purposely not aiming for IoJ tonight, just to get back at AR. :P
Ya probably mostly because we don’t care of you gain a little score. It is a close fight for first place now. To think we are able to pull this off with a bunch of PuGs.
I still show that it is not working. Using Chrome, Firefox and IE 8 I wonder if it is tied to resolution that would explain why some people see it and some do not. Or could be one of your servers having some code messed up.
Fun is Guild Wars 2 is what you make of it. At the current moment most people find thieves annoying or OP depending on who you ask. As a thief I would rank them under the category of annoying.
I think that this week has proved that if you like challenges in WvW the midtiers are the place to be now. I am sure our server would welcome any WvW focus guilds. As long as you are more accepting of the PuGs
The Dragon Bash is part of the reason why SBI lost their lead in WvW. No I am not complaining I am acknowledging a fact.
Solution to the problem. Stroke it up to bad luck and realize that the WvW players will be back in a few days and do what we can do hold on.
