When they make hard content, people will just find a way to cheese through it. The elite and hard mode area’s in gw1 are a perfect example of this.

GW1 was my favorite and most played game ever. I pe-ordered as soon as there was a pre-order button somewhere.

Some people think that Anet is sponsored by Santa or something. Things cost money, games cost money. Dont expect them to give games away?!

I wouldn’t pay more than 25$ for expansion. Not everyone are in financial position to pay for it, specially younger players(economic crisis ).

Anyway, I think Digital Deluxe (veteran)players deserve to get it for free since we paid more for same content that was around 3 years and bored us(veterans) to death.

25 is a bit low for any expansion i’m affraid. I expect 50 to 60 euro.

Found a few of the concept art looked pretty awesome, suppose to be the nightmare court I think.

Well we started to call Abaddons mouth, rangers mouth. They seemed to have a lot of them during the x-mass holiday. Dont know if they always had many ranger or just we started to notice this last month.

Seen from Piken, i can’t say i ever heard panicked voices on Teamspeak shouting “OMG run, they have RANGERS!”.

Well I did hear it, but more like lol wtf so many rangers/lootbags.

Doesnt know why every once in a while people want to know where a veteran harpy is.

It’s not an expansion, it’s just more Living World. Anyone who expects differently is being deluded. There is absolutely nothing about the trailer that even remotely indicates anything more than Season 3

I scout a lot for the server. Engi is great for that. I normally dont even run grenades but when an object is attacked I stay and try to delay untill help comes along. In that case I switch to nades to try to defend the tower/keep. But you say dont do anything at all, because retal is pretty much up 100%. With my Ele I can even try to destroy siege with my Meteor shower, with my engi I might aswell move because anything I do will get you killed. Or do you think attack with pistol 1 would do much

The one grenade*throw* does 1500 damage vs 15 people so 22.5k (15 procs).
and my Meteor shower does 4000 dmg in wvw (8500 in pve) and can give 72 retaL procs, It’s like your 5 grenade skills (75 retal procs) combined then you’ll be doing 5 times 22.5k all of a sudden or 112.5k dmg…

So please… Do not compare 1 grenade with 1 meteor shower. Compare 1 grenade throw with 5 fireballs as it does 5 times 1500 dmg vs 3 targets. and will give the same amount of procs: 15.

No my grenades do about 1500 damage in total to everyone, perhaps a little more but not a lot. . I dont have a power build or anything.

My only sylvari is my mesmer, and I never play the class anyway. let’s kick them from the servers

Dunno who is this, just found it yesterday occasionally.
Just check how long time he have buffs (and Retaliation sure) and how long he have conditions. Also check this at his targets, when he have target selected – most of time he didn’t.
I’ve found, what there is 100% uptime of main buffs and ~70% of Retaliation. And something like 15% of conditions uptime.

SilverWF if you’re talking a blob versus blob fights then you counter a blob with a blob. Tell your blob to bring more boon strip necros (they can do it with aoe’s) and use voice coms to make sure that your commander tells you when to unleash the barrage.

I coordinate with the guild I wvw with in voice. We never have these problems.

You cant have met any decent groups then. Because no matter how much you strip, any good coordinated group with have retal back up in full effect. If it even gets stripped in the first line of corruptions.

Anet did not increase the level in any of there previous expansions/stand alones. What they did instead give another means of getting stronger by creating PvE only skills that gor stronger by getting a higher level in that particular area. Like Luxon/kurzick rank that made your skill more powerfull.

No.

No that’s not at all. Single retaliation is not a problem at all. It’s shared retaliation boon across a large group that makes this more than a bit annoying.

It will not be a traditional expansion. It will be an episodic expansion mainly based on the LW concept. Since this expansion concept is very important for Arenanet and they want to promote it intensively they registered the logo and the title for merchandising. At the beginning “Heart of the Thorns” will monetized via gem store. There will be heavy discounts for people logging in at the right time. After everything is released Arenanet will sell boxes where all features are bundled. There will also be collector’s editions with additional perks.

Hmm I am not sure I will like an episodic expansion, I like to play my games at the time and convenience that suits me. Not timegated like the LS is now.

If Anet is smart it will be a payed expansion. They have done things enough for free, and they could use some money for future projects.

No I cant say I like any of them, there have been a lot of better weapon packs than this one.

Only one I could think off, it’s a Battle-axe/Great-axe. More savage than the GS with inferior mobility, if that makes any sense.

That would be awesome. It would also make some pretty kitten great looking weapons.
There was a time in GW1 where you would do ok with a scythe, but I never liked that weapon on a warrior.

Perhaps he made a diversion He got us chasing the wrong end of the world after some vines while he is trying to take echovald.

Are you rich in real life? In that case buy gems and trade them for gold. Pretty effortless.

I am back for exactly one month now, and the new megaserver is working pretty good compared to guesting. And tonight there is a new patch so prepare for that.

I get killed and ganked all the time. Right now on one of our opponent server there is some kind of thief guild. Not the best thiefs in the world but solo you have little chance against them. I hate being ganked but I dont feel the need to whisper to them. They killed me and that’s it. I also never received angry whispers from other players. Just some fight requests for 1-1.

It could also be any kind of plot that makes Mordremoth not in the maguuma jungle but is in the Echovald forest instead. Really there are plots enough to go to Cantha, not saying they are all great but writers can come up with anything. Or perhaps some other plots would lead us to Elona or some other part of the world.

I kinda like them all but Mesmer. I loved playing Mesmer in GW1, and it’s nothing like the class anymore. It’s slow and clumsy compared to the fast char I had in gw1.

They’re doing dragons with the LS so Cantha is definitely not happening anytime soon unless Bubbles is somehow connected with it. Elona is a possibilty with Kralk but don’t expect anything until at least after the next season.

If they are planning to sell the chapters players missed they will do something like:

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Living Story Pack

• Unlocks all available chapters for Living World Season 2
• Unlocks sPvP reward tracks, which grant players unique rewards.
• In-game items like Ley Line Finisher, and your choice of a Ley Line Weapon skin

I prefer the Deep or Urgoz. Never cared much for the boring UW or FoW.

Yep, the drops are amongst the worst I have ever seen in any game. I used to think that Vanilla Diablo 3 was bad, and then I played GW2.

Cantha has no place in the story unfortunately.

Elona is close enough to Kralky to need exploring.

Lots of story plots possible that could take us to Cantha.
