We had a hacker on our server who made a bad name for us and we got rid of him within 3 weeks, and that was only after we found out how to do it thanks to that thread.

I read the thing. Hackers fine, but what about trolls, racists and stuff like that. They do nothing.

On NA T3 SoS have 35k lead on 2nd already and is ticking 400+, while on EU T2 Desolation is only 3k ahead of Jade Sea (and Gandara is right behind JS with only 8k behind) and all the 3 are ticking ~200.

I don’t see how you can say EU T2 is like NA T3 with this…

Perhaps I am missing what tier is, top tier is the first 9 right? Desolation would be in Tier 1 to me.
I’m on Gunnars hold, and Aurora glade and our server get pounded by blob after blob from the germans. As they do. We are 24k behind and cant even walk out of spawn without 5 trebs on your head Yes they are truly that sad bunch of players.

Nice joke bro. Theres 1 troll in our server who has goten id say up to 500+ reports in WvW for simply trolling the living crap out of our server and saying very ridiclously offensive things that should be banable in every MMORPG. But yeah, anet doesnt care.

People are just amazed how he is still not banned for what he talks about and how he trolls us.

I even recall someone video taping him and anet just didnt do nothing about the recording. Its just sad.

Did you even read the thread? If you are sending material and info to “exploits@arenanet.com”, you are doing it wrong. That’s the team that analyses the exploits and try to fix them, no actions are made besides that.

Use the report tool under botting or send a whisper to GM ProHeals with the necessary info. You may think it is a joke, but not just me but others can very well assure you that hackers are being dealt with, specially after the creation of cited thread.

Report function does nothing, then why is it in the game :/

It’s nice to see that there a Devs actually going in WvW for hacking and other things. But why cant I still not report trolls, why with every week change I have to deal with people that ruin other peoples games?
Besides being truly sad people they have been getting away with it for years. It’s still the same people, and when you name them on the forum I get banned.

Is this such a problem for the designers ego that there still is no solution for this. Yes you made something terrible and made a huge mistake, learn from it and fix it.

Giving information about an expansion earlier would have been, well let’s say no so clever. It would have been dwarfed by the WoW expansion news and info. Let the wow expansion cooldown a little and then announce your own.

And I dont think everquest next is going to ne released this year, whenever I look for news of movies about it it’s still that same as the intro movie. That does not say it would not be in 2015, but they are in no hurry to release the most anticipated mmo in the genre I think.

Undecided if I am going to try the gs/hammer of the hammer scepter build. You seem to have a lot of mixed gear though. Do you need certain amount of health/power to do this ? Or can we swap toughness with Vit around a bit? Thanks for answering.

That was the living story part of GW1. They made it while the real team was making GW2. Just like now the real team is making something else than the LS. An expansion? I can only hope.

From what I have been reading on these forums. The Thief has literally been nerf’d into the ground and unplayable in PvP.

You are right, the game is full of easy mode AoE and CC, Condi builds etc that deal way more damage than a skill shot like back stab. I think if you are wanting a melee play Warrior, if you want a stealth toon play Ranger. Thief is dead.

The problem with thieves is this: the longer the fight, the lesser your chances of survival.

Can we please be serious? there are still people who havent tried the class and putting out inaccurate comments like this could kill the class.

I’m pvp rank 80 and ive played necro since release, then played thief for the past 3 months with a little guardian in between and i can tell you thief class is very far from weak. The problem is closed minded builds.

I have no clue where this idea of running either s/d or d/p came from, or the 2/0/0/6/6 craze. Lets not forget this popular idea that you HAVE to run shadow refuge. Open up the builds guys. I run an evade style 5/0/0/3/6 with no shadow refuge and no bow and I can tell you this set up has proven to be HIGHLY effective.

It fits well into my evade play style instead of going into stealth every 2 seconds and wasting everyone’s time. Its a lot more rewarding because the build is heavily dependent on split second decisions. I worry much less about CDs like most thieves would in a long fight. The damage is there, the cleanses are there and I can take on multiple decent players at the same time (sometimes)

For me this build surpasses the meta people seem to base the class’ pvp viability on because i built it based on my play style.

My point is, the meta build or whatever build theory crafters come up with that is supposed to be “viable” could really be useless if it doesn’t fit your play style and it could lead you to think the class is “weak”

I wouldnt mind seeing it in action, have any vids perhaps?

I think it is too late for an expansion. Those that have left GW2 have found new homes and are busy there, so they most likely not return. When fans consider if they want to buy an expansion they compare the content and quality to other games. An GW2 expansion will most likely be released 3 years after main game but the look and feel would not have changed much. So I think it will struggle against the competition, for instance against Black Desert.
In stead of using/wasting time on an expansion I think it would be better to use time and money on a new game. It could be GW3 or something else. I think most would want a completely new game world.

A lot of people left the original gw1 too. After the new campaign(s) people started to get back into it.

The return of heroes, so I might get things done on my own term/time instead of getting trolled by 12 year olds?

As far as expansions, we all know it’s “when it’s ready™”. If they do intro new professions, it’ll be one not two, i’d guess. They seem far more focused on esports than in the original game, for good reason. Balancing 2 new professions might not be in-budget, just saying.

I really, personally, don’t think we will see something like Elona or Cantha of the original. Not because it’s hard, but because it takes a good deal of time to develop with the current game. Maybe portions of it, or a gateway to it (Bubbles?). But, looking at where LS is now, can anyone possibly see moving onto much more world than we have now? If so, why?

I do not think the whole team is working on LS. The main part of the company is therefor working on something else. Another game right now seems very unlikely. So for me there is just one conslusion, an expansion. And I hope I am not wrong I’d buy the special edition in a heartbeat

The LS maps are not the same as the normal game maps. You are not the only one that misses exploring new areas and be astounded by them. I was when I first played the game. The story was not the best, but the maps and the scenery sure is/was.
Cant wait to see the expansion, when you can explore a new world in your own pace again.

Was terrible on Iron Marches yesterday. There was just a very small chance you could finish the events with so many people around.

Why dont they start playing the game themselves to prefend these horrible decisions. Who the hell was waiting for this ‘fix’ for toypocalypse? I find this one of the best mini games in there and they felt the need to ruin it.

It was intentional by the game designers to keep PvP and activities stabilized. It wasn’t to make the game less fun. From the sounds of things the devs had no choice in the matter because the code used for Toypocalypse is the same code used for PvP (which is a permanent part of the game). If they didn’t remove the party join feature for Toypocalypse, PvP would be unstable. So either way players would have complained. Catch 22. :P

Keep in mind there were major changes to PvP recently. So blame them for making PvP more interesting.

Gunnars hold used to be a great server to do WvW on. I hope it still is!!

I usually do not do the worldbosses. They are not hard at all but just the timer is the most annoying thing for me. But it’s not really a hard daily to do. Unless its a very unpopular wordlboss.

Elite skills used to be the best skills in the kitten nal. Builds were made around it, now it’s so total crap that I hardly use it. I’d rather have a utility skill than any of the so called elites.

I still cant do it solo or with my gaming buddy. Please fix this also?

I never played the cosmetics game in GW1. It wasn’t even necessary. You could have the gear you need for your build and not worry one bit about its cosmetics. What mattered in that game was your build and skills. Try telling the players who did Heroes Ascent only that GW1 was a cosmetic grind… they’d laugh you out of the room.

Heroes ascent was one of the most pathetic parts of gw1 :/
Yet everyone there wanted their VS, obby and such.

The game is better at level 80.. but only for about 1 month. Then you’ll have grinded through all the level 80 content for hours and hours. There is almost no gear progression at the end game. It truly is a game based on cosmetics. Who cares?

GW1 was about cosmetics, and yet so much fun to do.

Perhaps Hoelbrak would have been an easier town to decorate Anet…

You can always enter instance alone… this change is pointless… guess I’m losing these achievements this time.
