During Golem Rush, the following conditions will be in effect:

Siege golems will not cost supply to construct (blueprints will not be free).

It seems this one didn’t quite make it – it has cost me to make every single Golem.


The rest of the list goes on…

Siege golems will move at 100% increased movement speed.

Siege golems will deal 100% additional damage against players and other siege golems.

Each kill on an enemy player will grant your team one point toward your realm’s total score.

Map is not good for roamers/camp flippers

One thing I see is with the removal of guard stacks, sentries May become useless to kill. Giving them some sort of significant use may give roamers a reason to travel across the map, for example sentries capped now show enemy players in a radius around the sentry. This now helps commanders a lot, especially in a map that requires lots of travel and different routes to kind of track your enemy.

I already bought the expansion – but I agree that WvW needs to be fixed and we are being ignored compared to PvP or PvE.

I play in WvW the most, ever have since eight months into the game I finally FOUND it.

Until then I was literally and exclusively in PvP – I didn’t even understand the game had a PvE mode.

It’s Anet’s problem that they are ignoring the best of all modes in the game – they really are doing a lot of harm to individual players, tens of thousands who play in WvW and spend a LOT of gold to do so.

WvW could be the most magical part of GW2, but Anet has deemed it to be less so with the advent of dumb things like Golem wars that aren’t doing a thing to help the real and abiding issues and skills that don’t work in WvW but do work in most other modes (exceptions are noted).

WvW is team – even with the incumbent problems, WvW is a strategic starting point where anyone with imagination and determination can do wonders even with a small group and do even more amazing things with a larger group.

Dunno if its a ranger thing, or projectile bug but yeah.. obstructed by thin air is not fun..

I get obstructed in flat, flat, flat towers as well as camps when I am standing on the npc’s head.

I am so sick of the bugs that are just too easy to see and fix.

In which we attempt to maintain an updated list of Ranger bugs in a thread where the OP is relatively up to date.

Many thanks to Wondrouswall and all others who reported bugs in the previous threads.

Pets

  • The 150 Pet Stat points that were supposed to be made baseline are missing.
  • Increased Precision (from Pack Alpha, Spotter or Banner of Discipline) does not increase the pet’s crit chance, only Fury does.
  • Juvenile Marsh Drake selection image is a Scaled Drake.
  • Healing from Regeneration applied by pets is reduced to 5hp/1s if that pet is stowed or swapped, even when boosted with Natural Healing.
  • All condition damage-based pets have had their DPS massively reduced due to 0 base condition damage stat and the new condition damage formulas, even when traited with Expertise Training.
  • Pet selection in WvW is shared with PvE, unlike the sPvP builds.

Traits

So many skills just not working – period, the list here is just insane and the builds are suffering for each and every one of the skills that isn’t working as intended

F2? Not if you are in a fight with other than NPCs MOST of the time.

Revenents in WvW

Only because people running around in celestial and not knowing how to play.

I ran full ascended sentinel armor/weapons with WvW infusions and all ascended cleric trinkets with WvW infusions.
I ran Jalis/Ventari with Hammer and specced properly and played the class how it was supposed to be played, a ranged support role (CC & heals)
I almost never died.

How did you get Ascended armor/weapons or even ascended trinkets? Did you make or bought those weapons? Are those items not lost when BWE will be over? (WvW trinkets cost laurels, if I am not wrong.)

Ascended armor and gear can be moved to any character, that said, just remove the items before the weekend is over.

It is gets “stuck” I am sure that isn’t the same as our siege problem – not being able to stow right now… at least I am hoping it’s not like that…

Blacktide hacker is busy again

In barely 7 minutes he took pretty much all towers and camps of Fissure of Woe borderlands…going from north to south in 2 seconds flat…

I would like to know what ArenaNet is going to do about it. Like everyone we paid for this “game” but the fun has been taken out of it completely by some cheaters. One of my fellow players reported the hacker, as he caught a glimps of him.

My husband and I just bought the expansion set, and right now we’re regretting that decision, if we would have known this 1 day before we would have stopped playing altogether.

How are hackers still moving around like this since the “issue” has supposedly been “addressed”.

We had hackers on enemy servers lately too… just can’t figure out why Anet is still not patching the problem and immediately suspending any who use the hacks as reported.

The in-game reporting tool is awful – and there’s no way to follow up on subsequent issues except to come here and beg for help.

An easy thing Anet can do with HoT pending is to base server population on glicko rating to try and drive new players into the lower tier servers. Right now their population ratings make zero sense under the mega server.

Here’s hoping DR, ET and IOJ see some recovery in WvW populations with HoT coming out.

Everyone wants GLICKO reset – every single person who understands the dynamic wants to start over.

In my day, we frequently saw announcements in Lions Arch like: “Massive Golem Rush in 5 minutes in EB,” or “Our Garri needs help right now, please come.”

This got people curious and excited about WvW. This is an MMO, people love community events, and that’s exactly what these were. If you never entered WvW before, you’d come in for the first time with a sense of purpose and belonging and that hooked you in. Now people come into WvW for the first time, wander about aimlessly by themselves, get ganked a couple times, log out and never return.

Megaservers was a massive loss for WvW. (Player-run PvE events are very few and far between also these days.)

I agree, the Megaserver changed the very basics of WvW – the callout and rally.

Horrid choice – and WvW hasn’t been the same since.

Oh, let’s not forget the recruiting aspect of megaservers, we can’t – too many NOT on our server whom we are AGAINST would hear us and know we are asking for more players… really the worst of all situations and Anet didn’t care one bit.

Megaserver=Contestant for biggest fail change in the game.

WvW Siege Blueprint Skill "Cancel Build" Disabled

Hi all,

Due to unintended behavior, we have temporarily disabled the ability for players to use the skill “Cancel Build” (skill #2) for all WvW siege blueprints.

You can still place siege sites as normal, you will just not be able to return the blueprints to your inventory once you have attempted to use them.

This is a problem and not acceptable.

Siege is expensive – and when two people pull them out at the same time, now you’re telling us “too bad, you lose your siege”.

Why?

When will this be fixed? It impacts gameplay and scores when things aren’t usable or controllable.

Haven’t been playing my zerk LB ranger on Travelers rune much because of this. Imagine hitting a kittening drake mob in wvw for only 1.7k at 1500 range. I think this is attributed to big losses in ferocity. Can anyone here running scholars rune confirm the damage they are doing?

Same here, good old Traveler’s runes that we spent a bunch for are now, after the patch, not doing much damage no matter what traits or trinkets we use.

My sustain is gone, condi is down, ferocity is dead and I feel like I am the wet noodle while everyone else around me on the enemy side (WvW) focuses all Rangers first, making sure we stay at extreme range to do any good at all, which is less than any of our zerg-buddies.

Roaming? Fugetabboutit!

I don’t even have to refer to the power creep of post-patch, lol. Look before post-patch, where do you see ranger meta aside from A YEAR AND A HALF AGO running spirit builds? Wake up man, ranger has never been in line with other classes , it was for a few months and it was a build completely reliant on passives and an elite that couldn’t be CC’d then spirits got nerfed into the ground and you haven’t seen them since in meta. So you’re saying ranger’s been balanced this whole time? >_>

Please… I think you confuse ‘balanced’ with simply not having a team role in top tier conquest. If you don’t have a role or definition then you’re balanced, every other class that has something unique they can bring to top tier conquest isn’t balanced.

I main an ele and I decided to play my ranger all week-end… I never had it easier in months. The sustain vs damage ratio is kittening absurd even when playing zerk like I did. I’m death from 1500 or more and the pressure I impose on extremely low cool down to my opponents is hard to outplay. I call massive BS on any ranger nerf. The thought it was more powerful before is mind numbing to me.

Seriously? Specifically speaking about WvW, I mean seriously?

Why do people, like you and the guy below, always say you “did this” and it worked without ever show all of us your full builds so we can see why you believe your build makes the OP a liar or qq’ing, which he isn’t.

I main and have mained a Ranger since pre-release – and the conditions were nerfed – power is harder to get and the runes and gear most of us were using for conditions are much lower than they were pre-patch.

Roaming is almost impossible – it wasn’t before.

Zerging is the only way we can be of any use – decent boon sharing and cc, but lousy sustain and our pets are dead in a micro-second.

It is worse for most – show us builds that are better and help us figure out what looks like just a mess to many of us.

not sure, rangers have always been killing me in pvp and great at roaming in wvw too.

Roaming in WvW has become almost impossible compared to pre-patch.

My build went from months of tweaking to get to a decent place and decent damage to being killed in two seconds if I am alone and not with a larger group.

This is nuts.

I am having a really hard time finding a build that is enjoyable since they’ve changed the traits around. I solely play PvE.

Spirits are unplayable because they can’t move, they last 60 seconds and have a 20 second cd that starts after they go away.. and you can’t make them go away early, so you literally rarely have them, and they have mediocre buffs anyways. It was only good when they could follow you and lasted the entire 60 second duration. Especially since they have an annoyingly long channel to summon.

Traps are unplayable because they can’t have ground targeting. (for range might I add)
Shouts are just… no.
Signets are underwhelming.

And I hate how a lot of the traits give bonuses “under the health threshold” of 50%, and there doesn’t seem to be any really amazing traits. There are only 1 or 2 that I actually really love (like the one for longbow recharge and piercing and attack speed, amazing).

I don’t know if I’m alone in this feeling, but I am really disappointed in what they did to the Rangers. I had a lot of fun with them in the past, I’ve always mained them, but now they just seem horrible because there are literally no skills that are good. I’m basically forced into a signet spec if I want to be ranged, otherwise I have to play melee in order to have an actual spec?

I’m always going to play with a longbow, and my alt weapon is an axe/warhorn.
I am unwilling to switch weapons because I hate melee. Hence why I picked a RANGEr to begin with when I originally started playing.

Why on earth did they decide to get rid of trap ground targeting and spirits not moving? Those were really good talents… well, really good because they gave you an option… it should just have ground targeting base. And I thought I read somewhere that wells and traps were getting ground targeting base, but clearly not at the moment. Is that coming with the patch or am I crazy?

Anyways, any tips on a good build that has proven useful that is RANGED? I do NOT want to play melee.

My “hits like a truck” condi build is not even possible with this patch.

I hear every ranger whines that shortbow sucks. IMO, my opinion is 180. It is a great condi weapon for rangers.

Crossfire- Great condi weapon.
Poison Volley- Great condi burst.
Quick Shot- On-demand evade and swiftness.
Cripple shot- Soft CC to chase down enemies.
Concussion shot- Hard CC or interrupt.

Because Condition Damage was nerfed into the ground.

When Will Ranger Skills Work?

f2 – almost never goes off even, you can see you are on cooldown and it’s counting but effect doesn’t hit even an NPC much of the time, let alone those you are fighting, or trying to escape from.

Healing Spring is still not healing the pet – and I have no idea if it is healing others.

Icons on minimap should be more informative

There’s a suggestion on GW2 subreddit for adding a more informative icon for dungeons item merchant in LA because current one looks like ordinary vendor – adding dungeons gate with sword/helmet or coins stack in bottom corner would be really really helpful for players.

Same goes for mentioned FotM entrance – I had hard time looking for gates after introduction of new rebuild LA. Prior rebuild entrance got standard asura gates icon, before Scarlet attack, there was standard dungeon icon.

I would also add that some karma merchants across Tyria are using a very small barely visible rhombus icon - they could get either the standard Karma triangle icon or coins with little triangle in the bottom right – just like the renown hearts got

Another thing is that Hero Points in many cases are barely visible with that gold-brass colouring and in my opinion giving these back old Skill Point blue colour (maybe a bit more vivid) will improve noticing these on both map view modes.

Of course these are QoL suggestions but should be IMO reconsidered and rolled in game somewhere in future.

In WvW the minimap, which is supposed to be accurate, is not showing white swords until late if at all.

Just one of the many things about the mini-map that isn’t accurate enough.

Outnumbered and constantly spawn camped

Aren’t there 3 exits from each spawn? Isn’t the counter just to exit the one they’re not camping from?

You can be spawn camped even then.

Some servers are effectively locked into their spawning areas for hours on EB or on their own BLs, depends on how much larger the server is that you’re against.

Which is one of the reasons that many of us know that on many servers, WvW is manipulated, not won by skill and creative attacks.

If this hasn’t been fixed in eight months and other events are _also broken in all the maps_ , how can we ever get the attention of those who told us “we’re looking at it” and then NEVER return here to explain OR tell us it’s fixed?

This is totally ridiculous and not a good business practice at all.

Just try to do a daily on some maps… it’s a lifetime job.

Selective bug fixing

I am bothered that the bugs that are fixed either provide no real benefit or are nerfs to ranger while buffs from bug fixes are left out.

Case point : Light on Your Feet (2 bugs)

1) Duration is 3s (not 4s) – Unfixed
2) Condi duration 100% (not 10%) – Fixed

Clearly a dev made the effort to change this trait but in that same time failed to change the buff duration. It is an integer value change that would be seconds of additional time once the dev who fixed the other bug with this trait finished with the first value.

But maybe it takes a long time because of testing etc?

Case Point 2 : Healing Spring

Patch broke the skill in a way that would be obvious to a playtester so testing isn’t done or is done poorly.

Its a sad time when ranger is looking at a balance batch worth of bugfix buffs because anet only bugfixes things that help ranger.

Tldr – Stop fixing only bugs that help ranger.

There are many bugs in WvW and PvE modes that don’t work to this day on Ranger and all other profs… so you’re dead on, they selectively choosing which bugs to fix and which to ignore – some since day 1.

Ranger f2 still doesn’t work.

Sorry if Rangers post a lot about issues, but it matters in WvW especially – PvE I am HALF what I was before this patch.

Should tell you something when many of us can’t find a build and what we do have, a quarter or more of which isn’t working.

Posting bugs in the official bug forum gets you crickets unless it garners a bazillion 1+s.

Even then, most are “we’re looking at the issue” and we never hear back from them ever again.

DANG it, that’s the FIRST thing we told them was wrong.

Please clarify “Entangle” since I use it, I can see the icon (so I know it went off ON the person) but they still come at me full speed and the immobilize didn’t work at all.

If the icon is there, shouldn’t it have some effect?

Did you fight an engineer? The trait transmute (converting one incoming condition into a boon, 15icd) would convert the first tick of immob into swiftness and the engineer runs through the vines before the second tick comes in. That way he wouldn’t get caught. Or did you fight someone who had resistance?

No, it was a warrior.

The icon went off, and if “unblockable” means anything, then we’re all being played.

If it was a warrior there are 2 possibilities how he did that. Warriors got resistance using their healing signet. But it is very unlikely he did use it at this time. The other is he was in berserker stance. That would mean he is immune to conditions as immob and can run through the vines. I just want to show that it didn’t has to be a bug. It has to get tested.

And non blockable doesn’t mean anything, that skill can be dodged and if your skill is inflicting a condition but the enemy is immune to onditions he wouldn’t get effected by it.

But back to topi: I want to address a long known bug: rangers long bow has a muh larger effective range (more than the addressed 1500)

It’s been pretty sweet for soloQ roaming and skirmishing.

Not quite the same blitzing damage output of the old power ranger builds (not far off) but LOADS more sustain and condi-clear.

Please clarify “Entangle” since I use it, I can see the icon (so I know it went off ON the person) but they still come at me full speed and the immobilize didn’t work at all.

If the icon is there, shouldn’t it have some effect?

Did you fight an engineer? The trait transmute (converting one incoming condition into a boon, 15icd) would convert the first tick of immob into swiftness and the engineer runs through the vines before the second tick comes in. That way he wouldn’t get caught. Or did you fight someone who had resistance?

No, it was a warrior.

The icon went off, and if “unblockable” means anything, then we’re all being played.

The patch says: Ranger Longbow skill range is now 1500.
If you look at the longbow skill #4 “Point Blank Shot” – it has only 1200 range.

Not a bug! PBS has always had shorter range than other longbow skills because of the nature of the ability. Originally 900 when everything was 1200, but could be traited to be 1200 with eagle eye while everything else was 1500. That’s just what we have now and is to be expected. I think having a 1200 range PBS is incredible.

Why is my ranger's primary heal now a trap?

This is just plain awful. Healing Spring is not only one of the rangers top team support skills (being a water field), it’s also one of the only two condi cleanse utilities we have as a class… And now I have to wait for someone to trigger it. I’ve had to swap to Heal As One, and I’m getting murdered continuously in WvW thanks to the new condi meta, and have nothing to cleanse it with outside of a few traits and pets (bearbow lulz).

Also, please change Bark Skin back to it’s original stats. It’s utterly useless now and wasn’t even overpowered before. We finally just prior to this patch got to the point where rangers were semi-viable against other professions, and now…

Healing Spring doesn’t say it is triggered anywhere in the tooltip.

This wasn’t even mentioned before release that I can find.

We have been destroyed in WvW – absolutely destroyed. Without that and the warhorn many of us are dying because we had skills that mitigated SOME damage in zergs, now even boons can’t help us and now we REALLY look like idiots when our heals don’t go off…

Regardless, it still isn’t healing the pet…

[6/23 Patch] New Builds!

Err… did we get any new builds? from what I’ve seen power ranger got buffed, condi ranger got nerfed hard, and trapper ranger got nerfed hard too.

since we had 3 viable builds to begin with, it seems like now we have 1.

2. Condi that I have seen and been melted by even with four condi clears.

3. Fixes for our new and most damaging issues – broken skills with pet healing being number 1.

My only comment is that I can’t be sure which aspect of WvW you were referring to, but I don’t solo roam, and even if I did, I wouldn’t honestly change a thing. I play with small guild groups all the way up to full sized “guild raids.”

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer constructively, and if you have any criticisms, we can try to have a civil debate about them.

When I’m playing in a large group setting, our guild runs essentially half glass, where two 5 man groups go AoE nuke and anti-periphery while everybody else goes frontline/zerg group. My group is myself, another ranger, 2 thieves, and a mesmer, while the other group is another mesmer and a mixture of glass eles and necros.

We split off from the main group and collapse on backlines, and my group has target priority on squishy casters and thieves, keeping the damage off our zerg group and the damage classes off of our casters.

I originally started playing this same role for my guild on mesmer, and now, my guild leader requests that I play on my ranger because I “one shot whatever I attack and I never go down or die,” so you won’t hear me complaining since ranger is my main lol.

Other than that, I can’t imagine playing conditions in WvW, or even really enjoying playing condi. I’m sure I could make it work if I tried, but it just doesn’t suit my preferences in large scale, open field combat.

Now that Openning Strike gives +25% damage, I’ve been having lots of fun in PVP Mauling Warriors for 10~14k damage. I couldn’t find a class yesterday that could survive a well placed Maul at 70% life. If you are interested, keep reading:

  • Trait [Remorseless] to trigger an Openning Strike on fury.
  • Trait [Brutish Seals] to lower the cooldown on your Signet of the Hunt, while getting 3 stacks of Might when you activate it.
  • Trait [Wilderness Knowledge] to get fury on Survival skill use and lower cooldowns.
  • Trait [Quick Draw] just because.

Every other trait left is available for customization depending on your needs.
With the traits I mentioned, you have fury on demand to trigger your Openning Strikes when:

  1. You swap weapons
  2. You use a Survival Skill.

There are tons of other ways to proc fury but you won’t need that many, trust me. The only think you need is for it to be reliable.
You also get high vulnerability uptime from:

  1. 10 stacks from Openning Strikes (5 from you, 5 from your pet)
  2. 10 stacks from Rapid Fire
  3. 5 stacks from Maul

This way you will naturally mantain 20 stacks without even trying, nice! Talking about damage modifiers, lets see how much do we have:

  1. +25% from Openning Strike
  2. +20% from vulnerability
  3. +150% from Attack of Oportunity (SotH)

That means your can land Mauls with over 200% more damage using the following rotation:

  1. Use Rapid Fire and your pet to stack 20 vulnerability
  2. Use Hunter’s Shot to go invis
  3. Switch to greatsword and cast Maul from the shadows, not without using your Signet of the Hunt first

That’s it. Its over. Simple but effective. If for any reason your target is still alive, remember you have Quick Hands traited! Land a second Maul using Muddy Terrain or Quickening Zephyr to proc a second Openning strike, on a target that still has 20 stacks of vuln. It won’t be as strong as the first one, but will do the trick.

Now, not all fights goes the same way. It will happen that a Guardian will block your rapid fire, or someone will dodge your Maul. I had my fair share of long fights using this build last night against very decent players, but the principles stay the same: Use Rapid Fire, use Maul. Every other skill is situational to help you acomplish that objective.

PS: I love lists.

EDIT: I would love feedback and advice on how to make this a better build! Gear used is berserker with Air and Fire sigils on Greatsword which add on top of the damage posted above. Runes? Ranger runes.

Healing Spring does not heal the pet

Natural healing regeneration does not seem to be working (BM healing trait)

Yeah, this not healing with Healing Spring is causing a lot of Rangers to die for no reason.

Does this change the score in WvW and PvP? Of course it freaking does.

What the heck kind of beta testers does Anet have? Must be blind, these errors were seen after the first fights – not one beta tester reported this???

…Ignoring bugs that are reported for days – not getting any help as the scores go down, down, down, down, down…..

Not use it? Ok, one less condi clear – absolutely not acceptable.

Dear fellow rangers I tend to never give out my builds to anyone because I put a lot of thought into them and keep em a secret. Because we always get short end of the stick I will share a build I have made with new patch last night that keep’s everyone asking what the hell are you running! For this build to have full potency you will need! I will also explain how build works.

Full zerker ascended armor.
Ascended LB/GS zerker as well.
Full zeker ascended trinkets.

Traits you will use are Marksmanship, Skirmishing, and Beast mastery!

Marksmanship: Call of the Wild, Steady Focus, and 1: Remorseless or 2: Lead the wind
Remorseless is fantastic if your roaming and killing single targets but if your in a Zerg or attacking multiple enemy’s then of course lead the wind.

Skirmishing: Primal reflex, Straiders defense, and Quick draw

Beast Mastery: 1: Resounding Timble or 2: Go for the Eyes. ( will explain on witch one to pick) then you want Two handed training and Zephyrs speed.

Utility skills: Signet of stone, (must) Signet or Hunt (optional but highly recomanded )
Lightning reflex(optional) and Strength of the pack (must)

How it works: Key future is to make shore your pet is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, STOWED!!!!!
Can’t stress that enough! You have the option to keep perma call of the wild on you with fury and swiftness by attacking a creature and soon as you kill it stowing your pet and repeating it again. That way you can stack up to 2+ minutes of fury and swiftness.
Every time you do this your Zephyrs speed will also kick in triggering quickness for 3 sec and giving you instant spike with rapid fire. At this time you have 2nd option to unload your damage on the enemy and fast. You can choose soon as your pet goes out of stow to active to switch it for another Quickness charge and another call of the wild.
At the same time each and every time you switch a weapon or get call of the wild on you or fury (that is why Strength of the pack is awesome for this and Resounding Timble helping it recharge faster) but every 3 seconds your fury gets renewed giving you opening strike (if you traited Remorseless and 25% more damage on hit) as well as when you switch to GS your attacks have 50% chance to give you fury and do more damage.
As for pets you have 2 options here: if your dueling and or roaming WvW Good pets are raven and white raven ( gained via GW1 hall of monuments) and trait go for the eyes. Basically between you switching the pets gaining quickness and spamming blind on your enemy its very annoying. 2nd option if you decide yo do shout trait then you take drake hound and wolf. Have fun killing and dropping people like fly’s!

Some of the cons for this build is condi remove so bring healing spring. But you have plenty of utility’s to ether run away or kill them from far and fast.

If you like this build give it a +1 also PM me if interested into learning my GOD MODE ranger build that extremely hard to kill. But that build will cost you

WoW, all this hate just because your trapper rune build(which was kinda imba BTW) got small nerf if any? Traps are much stronger now, lots of ppl like the change. HS is very buggy ATM you so cant judge the full trapper build yet.

Okay sorry I’m just tired and it’s kittening hot in my apartment.

But for real. I’ve been playing this game since it launched. I have been maining a Ranger for almost that entire time, playing a condi trap build. I love my ranger, she’s awesome and I never would have traded her up for a better class. Ranger has always seemed to get the shorter end of the stick it seems in this game, when I used to do a lot of PvE I had to deal with everyone not wanting Rangers for dungeons. Then I joined WvW and had to deal with all the jokes and crap there. But y’know what Anet? I didn’t care. I liked my ranger, it was fun, and I understood how to play it and it worked for me.

And in recent times I was excited to see that Ranger seemed to finally be getting some love and was starting to have more viability in the game. But now what the kitten is this? What was the logic behind removing ground-targeting for traps? It’s not like that was even the DEFAULT for traps- you had to trait for that, so why mess with it? Just leave it as a trait, I don’t care. I mean you make these Trapper Runes, get anyone who actually played a trap ranger to switch over to them, and now you start nerfing our traps? And why are you nerfing this build anyway? I’m pretty sure most people can agree the most powerful Ranger build has been the buffed LB power ranger, where everyone complains about how LB Ranger can just stand really far away, click 2 and kill you with no effort. So why nerf the trap build? Who the hell was complaining “omg ranger traps so op pls nerf”. And why nerf Ranger AT ALL right now anyway? Ranger has never even been considered op or whatever, especially not condi ranger. I mean do you realize that people used to ACTIVELY not want Rangers? That’s different from disliking Rangers. That’s people saying “no you can’t join our dungeon/skill group on a Ranger. Go switch characters”. Is that what you’re trying to bring us back to? I just don’t understand you’re logic at all and I would just really appreciate it if you could stop trying to break my class.

There are so many postings about how they ruined traps that I have to believe that Anet truly didn’t listen to us at all and did exactly the opposite of any past discussion with devs.

1. Not being able to throw

3. Taking stats away from traps

4. Why have traps at all if we can’t use them to stop OP and almost unbeatable foes who had buffs from this patch that we do not have a mitigation for?

“Play How You Want To” is the biggest lie ever told by an MMO.
