That pic just shows lack of coverage or poor coverage, not a deliberate 2v1 by 2 other servers. Anvil Rock got to see that along with all 3 bl’s not having our color (basically no OCX/SEA/EU coverage will do that) for months leading up to server linking.
Somebody from YB made a comment about AR the other night and I got dc’c before I could explain that we pretty much no longer exist in any big numbers any more. There was me & one other from my guild on at the time. There were a few from another guild working in YBBL but I think most of them had called it a night about the time the question came up.

Ehh? There is no 2v1. The picture just shows that mag played better than us/ had more organization/ppl/coverage in ebg. the match up on the bls has been pretty fun. I havent played much for a while but this weekend was fun. Jumped to ebg, and plenty of ppl who know that spawn has more exits, can join ts were having fun. fa backcapping isnt much of a 2v1.
What you are saying isn’t what we have recorded and screenshotted to death.
The game is being manipulated. I am sorry you can’t see what so many others, and Anet, can see if they were being honest with the WvW community.

If the guild formed the majority of players capturing this objective then it may be claimed immediately. A popup prompt appears allowing 15 seconds to claim the objective. When the timer expires, the guild with the next highest number of players involved in the capture is prompted to claim and so on. Only those with Claim/Unclaim WvW Forts permission whose guild has unlocked the objective are prompted. Additional options may be selected using the WvW Objective Upgrade UI.

People who haven’t taken the camp/tower/keep, no one in the fight at the property in question are given a choice until all others on the MAP are given first priority.
Has nothing to do with players fighting at the property that is taken or it would work as intended and not give it to those who aren’t even present.
When I made my first post about CD’s glicko back when it was a 4 server linking (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Glicko-making-it-impossible-for-CD-to-move-T3/first) it was literally impossible for CD to move out of t4 at the time, now it seems that Anet is adjusting the second place winners this week(Dragonbrand) for +150, even though HOD won this week. What is the reasoning for boosting the second place server out of T4, instead of the first place server?

WvW isn’t the game we all started playing four years ago.
A tactic learned specifically from YB, that’s what makes it so delicious.
There were plenty of times YB had the numbers to take it back. But half of them just sit in the spawn entrance instead of pushing with the Ppl who have guts. There were times today when YB had 30+ at the entrance to their spawn, and only 7-10 Mag but just SAT there sending salty whispers.
Those ignorant player are now on other servers.
You need to understand that there are those like this on all servers and none one wants them and not many real WvW’ers agree with their tactics.
Don’t blame a whole server for those who have mostly left our server, it dishonors us all.
So the enemy has held our keep for almost 2 Days now, Its so seiged up, not sure we will ever get it back.
I have played WvW for a long time, never seen someone take and defend a keep for such a long time. Normally, take it, defend it for maybe a Day, then let them have it back so there will be more fights. You dont wanna be so dominating that the other side simply stops playing. What fun is that??
So wont be playing this week, We are so out numbed, its no fun. So I guess they are just gonna have fun with no fights.

Yak’s Bend doesn’t ally with and pay for their own players to move to a linked server with the promise of moving those same players back to their original server, if possible.
Now it’s not two servers against one. It’s now four and three servers against one in ANY tier.
Manipulation is easy if you can get the gold and they can and do.
Why transfer when one can create a free account on any open servers?
It costs 1800 gems about $22.50 to transfer to a Very Highly populated account. It might be easier to upgrade the free account when HOT is on sale for $25.
In this way, one can get extra storage space from the extra characters comes with it and jump into WvW using the level 80 booster.

AFK’ers on queue’d maps stand around for hours.
They do move. They are going to stand there and use it as a chat room until you get the point that some are there to pad the queue so valid players can’t get in.
WvW manipulation is easy, but Anet doesn’t want to hear it at all, even four plus years on.
The subject says it all.
It’s not just us, it’s all of WvW being manipulated by “manual” additions and subtractions of scores.
It’s not just that either.
What produces this unequal pairing of servers for this week’s WvW?
It can’t be position, since 7th, 2nd and 3rd are two tiers apart. WvW’ers on all sides should be asking how this can happen and why it is allowed to happen since it affects all of us, not just these three servers.
How can it be that cheaters are still allowed to glitch into or use mechanics that are invisible four years into WvW? We’re still reporting them and they aren’t stopping anyone that we have experienced.
How can it be that server changes, the links that change a metric so much is ignored when those changes occur, leaving a server wide open when they had ‘decent’ coverage before they were paired with one that has no interest in WvW nor the mechanics which make it successful for any server and who literally can make a server worse by doing exactly the opposite of what is normal and acceptable in WvW?
This isn’t about ‘matchups’, this is about literally ignoring those who do WvW almost exclusively and the changes which happen when linkings changes which ok, we can understand it changes but why are Tier 1 Servers ever allowed to link with anyone?
It can’t stay that way permanently so any server that makes it to Tier 1 most likely won’t be able to sustain it unless …
Unless they do what servers are doing right now and Anet is ignoring it.
People are moving to the linked server to ally themselves with the winners of the matches. And the scores prove that a 2v1 that is manipulated by the players themselves is now a total joke and known way around the linking system.
Problem with that is you aren’t linking a weak server any longer. You are creating an untenable alliance with moves that may benefit the coffers of Anet, but it makes WvW an absolute lie and impossibility for any commanders who are working their hearts out and can’t even take a single tower on EBG in 12 hours or more.
Look at the map and tell me that you ‘fixed’ WvW by using an illogical and easily abused linking system.
The CEO should be appalled to have allowed this 2v1 to become a monster that can’t be fought no matter how many people a single server brings into WvW.
The players have made alliances since you would not and it’s destroying the integrity of WvW and what was almost a fair system at the beginning.
Tourneys mattered.
Servers mattered.
Transfers were few.
Free players should not be allowed to play PvP OR WvW.
Restrictions on WvW moves need to be implemented across the board. – twice a year.
Remove linking and give us back our Tournaments.
WvW was supposed to be about tactics, skill and have a modicum of fairness that couldn’t be manipulated.
Anet manipulated scores.
Players manipulate server populations for one side out three to win.
There is no red. Tier 3 home keep and a score that says it all.
Blue and Green don’t take one another’s properties by agreement and design.
WvW has become the most manipulated game mode in gaming history and one of the most hacked since Diablo 2.

It is a bug that putting the lvl 80 boost items in your bank dissapear. There were several threads a while back about this happening.
This post suggests that you contact support and tell them what happened and they should replace the missing equipment.

I’ve tried looking for the dev response about this, but since the forum search function is broken and I couldn’t find it via google easily then I don’t remember if they fixed it or not.
So, do contact support https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us and they should be able to assist you in recovering the missing items.
I am afraid to move the boost at all since they won’t address it or fix it.
Aside from stuff like skill balance (every game mode needs that), what is it specifically that you guys want added, removed or changed in WvW?
Here’s an idea that Anet might want to think about.
Stop the ‘three’ server model and go to a simple two server model.
Force us to fight a foe – equally – once and for all.
Servers keep their names and will rise or fall by merits rather than by manipulation on both the winning side and the losing sides.
Two versus one server (I am not ‘adding’ the linked servers, they are not separate players from the server they are guesting on), no matter what you do will have inequities, incredibly silly server alliances and even internal manipulation of the score on all sides by any of the following mechanics:
Tanking
Two v One
Spies who are playing against one server but loyal to another and reporting all movements
Free accounts, which should not be allowed into WvW nor ranked PvP.
You want to ‘save’ WvW – bring it into reality and let the servers fight one on one as they should have from the very beginning.
Unlink all servers and give free transfers to all who are on the day of the new model and only that day, announced weeks before in an email and a reminder sent the day before the changes occur.
Enough bandwagoning.
Enough 100 man blob fights against 25 or 30.
Enough of the manipulation of the best game mode ever done in any MMO.

@atheria, the stigma is roughly the same when playing thief, JS, and you’re less likely to be kept as part of a blob when playing one than a ranger/druid. There’s literally zero group support for them to provide. Rangers get hate just because a lot of them that come in from PvE as longbow heroes are just terrible players from relying on pet AI to tank for them that end up killing their allies half the time, and if running longbow, are often either killing their allies or doing very little to support the zerg. A bad thief is a bag and a rally for the enemy; a bad ranger does 10k damage to your frontline players and is also still a bag and a rally all the same.
Agree with part of this.. take time to learn to play druid.. know how to skirt the outside.. fire in and then get out without dying.. Druids/necros/ thiefs with venoms are the backbone of the dps for large zergs and for someone like Dods and TW to be kicking them and necros our of squad and shaming them ( not just once.. but for weeks) is just silly.. thats why TW isnt on TC anymore to be honest.. they got called out for it and people complained for weeks and they finally got the message and left for JQ (no matter what they tell you happened.. thats the truth in a nutshell… people hated them.. Dods is basically the reason we dont have public server meetings anymore also… it turned into a hour long dods discussion forum lol)
A rally bag can be anyone, any class, that doesn’t learn to play a know what their toon can do. Take your time.. run a lot of SPVP.. get good at what you run, then try WvW.
Rangers/Druids get a bad rep because people pop one.. level it to 80 instantly and have no idea how to play or what to do if cornered..
a few things to remember.
You can play any class.. as glass…. and push with the frontline if you save your cooldowns and know when to use escape skills. Being at the front as druid is awesome.. as long as you know when to drop back and snipe.
If you are new to druid.. play defensively.. snipe from walls, corners.. anywhere you dont get run over and pull back to heal. When you get better, run in drop waters, make call outs etc like i do.
Druid knockback is perfect for STRIPPING STAB (lets see someone say that doesnt) and also stuns players for about 2-3 seconds. Great for charges and catching people running way. it knocks them a few feet yes.. but they stop in their tracks and you can just mow them over.
Aim for the squishes… anyone in cloth should be first targets (unless you are told to driver snipe.. which is almost never on TC) and then medium armor classes.. Heavys only when cleaning up after the fight.
TAB is your friend.. aim for mid to backline players on engage.. the more people you shoot through, the better your dps.. 12,000 on one target is impressive.. but 12k on 5 with piercing arrows is just fun as heck.. and what makes the class so fun. Doing 49,000 crits on lords is nice too =)
The point is.. Druids and other dps classes should never be ignored… unless you are running a stream and just want to show people how good your frontline is at running around in circles for 20-30 mins until they finally die… like you know who

You and several others didn’t read my post at all or just decided to change what I wrote in your heads.
Druids who can stand in PvE toe to toe with any Champ or Legendary do not have the same ‘power’ as their WvW counterpart and that goes double for the pet unless one goes full glass or full regen, both of which makes one a bag on any server where there are groups of five and upwards, and you, as the lonely player on Tier 1-4, doesn’t matter at some times of the day, alone for several hours.
Few players can go against multiple numbers of those guarding towers, camps and even shrines and the nerf didn’t make it easier to play Druid, it made it ridiculously pigeon-holed into glass, glass, glass and more glass.
You want to teach the rest of us how to do what we do in PvE so easily but can’t in WvW?

In other words, we’re to be quiet since there hasn’t been a single announcement since over three months ago when they said the program was ‘suspended’.
That’s not an answer… that’s a deferral of responsibility that we depend on as a player base.
It’s not like we can get them into TS to actually talk to us…
I play druid exclusively and i was wondering if we could get a dev to answer on this.
As it stands now (on Tarnished Coast at least) Rangers/Druids are being insulated, harassesed and even shamed in wvw and even in Teamspeak …. and i’m frankly getting sick of it. Not only druids, but some other classes as well such as necros/reapers and mesmers.
Not going to mention any names.. but here is whats happening. And trust me, I am not the only one thats seeing and hearing this. Personally, I choose to ignore these people, but it is becoming more widespead and i want to know what can be done besides ignoring/not following these people.
I log in… get into wvw and start checking for a tag. There will be a large group running in WvW and i get on TS and join squad.
I am a team player. I always try to be on tag if there is a large group running. I play backline glass very well… skirting the outside, dropping people at will… if the frontline needs heals.. i run in, drop water and use staff 3 to blast it or escape while dropping my staff 5 for protection and go back to sniping from the outer edge.
After a few minutes the commanders either start shaming druids or i hear the squad leaders start telling people running druids to roll another class or leave squad because Ranger/Druid is not part of the current meta. (even though we are winning, and the druids are keeping us up.. and none of them have died, etc)
It seems that not many people play elementalist now (still more than play druid however) and most of these play melee style so they dont really drop waters etc. Druids are the only healers usually.
I know that druids have a TON of helpful skills like area cripple with barrage, piercing arrows, water field and heals in druid form. Our heals also give an extra heal and blind for every target we heal (if traited) and we can also do some serious damage.
However… Most of the commanders seem to think that there is no place for Druids in wvw and they start screaming and harassing players to get on a class that matters like guardians, revenants or warriors.
Are druids part of the “Meta” ( i would defiantly think so) and btw.. exactly who gets to decided what the “Meta” is?
Sometimes i tag up and in my squads i let people play what they want, no matter what class they run as long as they play the class well and are having fun. This is what the game should be but because of the current state of the game, things like this are happening more often.
WvW is meant to be all inclusive i would think and i would like to know if there are any plans to include rangers/druids in the current “Meta”
I feel badly for my mesmer friends also because in groups they are reduced to gravity well/veil bots and very few people play those as well. You may see maybe one or two mesmers per raid, otherwise they too are getting yelled at and told to get on a class that matters.
Are there any plans in the works to buff/fix these problems that would make rangers/druids part of the current meta?

No matter how often this has been ‘addressed’ in the past, it hasn’t been addressed at all by Anet.
Griefing and shaming one for being on any toon is happening more in WvW than any other game mode.
I can, even after the horrid changes, stand in the glow of a Legendary when all others are falling down not doing any damage, not healing others and definitely not being a team player, but those same players will grief others for playing one of the most useful things ever created; the Druid.
I was forced to go to back to my “Ranger” in WvW after that last balance which leaves Entangle at 48 seconds but zipped Strength of the Pack up to a whopping 75 seconds unless traited. What, a single combo really was a danger to anyone at 48 seconds traited?
In WvW the comments about my Ranger and Druid (condi and power respectively) are nasty to gross, over nothing more than playing that character since Anet can check chat logs and see that every other character I have played has never been abused nor questioned even if I was awful at that character.
Until Anet takes a stand against people who are “prejudiced” in a game mode like WvW, with the concomitant bullying and griefing, until they tell those players that Druids and Rangers are just as much part of the ‘community’ as everyone else, the trolls, the bullies who say this toon or that toon is particularly bad, and there are no end to the others will never stop and it is escalating.
Nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to what Ranger and now Druid are being bombarded with in WvW and in no other game mode.
WvW is different. It’s special. But it’s also being ignored for the many who just want to spread their special kind of bullying against a profession that, more often than not, saves them from themselves.

Why…. just WHY were matchup changes polled against rewards/loot? They are two very different things. It should have been “Should we implement 1u1d, y/n?” and “Are skirmishes staying y/n? Are we giving them rewards? y/n” and…. instead we get this.
Anet is still driving WvW where they want it to go but not where the players need it to go.
That “poll” was proof positive that WvW is being given little thought.
The number of dev players in WvW is amazingly low compared to the first year. If you guys don’t play the game, how can you say you know what it needs?
As it is we still to this day have people glitching into keeps, using hacks and no report in the game in real time or even in a ticket, seems to do a thing since we can’t all do a video on demand. It seems those of us who are witnesses to abuses will never be trusted by those who read those reports.
We have linking that throws a monkey wrench into the stability of any server leading to even more chaos and server hopping than ever before.
We have people telling whole guilds not to play. And most won’t play leaving those who do in a heinous situation when Anet clearly ‘depended’ on the normal population playing that week or even more than a week or two. Manipulation of the scoring internally by players has never been more apparent than it is now.
We have players who abuse the team channel – and there’s no way to report that since it’s not a botting offense, it’s just a rudeness and flooding offense that is ignored no matter how much nastiness is spewed across the server, no matter how vile the words or thoughts conveyed.
“Manually” adjusting any server after the win or loss is about as “ok” as adding a grade or taking one from any school test or certification.
Suggestion for the next project?
Play WvW.

It’s so sad that the huge majority of the comments you see in here now are about removing the linking even though the apparent poll asked for it. But of course the poll was in favor since MOST people that play gw2 are on the top 4 tiers… that in itself skewed the results of the poll. Those of us in the lower tiers that really liked how we played had no chance.
We have also seen our community slowly broken down into either roaming guild groups or simply groups that come in for missions and leave. Most hosts are gracious and fun to run with but it is THEIR server, not ours. A large number of the people I know personally don’t like the big zergs and don’t run in them. I would rather run with a few people and run havoc on camps and towers and battle other roamers than be a “borg” drone.
ANet will continue to see these posts; will continue to ignore them because they know better; and will continue to see people like us play less. As I’ve said in other posts, I’ve seen so many of my friends stop playing completely. The other leader of my guild and her partner are two of them. My guild went from a nice roaming group of about 10 on average, to a group of 1-3 on a good day in WvW. I know at least 6 other people personally that stopped playing because of the linking…. and that’s just people that I know.
One positive thing financially has come out of this for me though.. I spend a LOT less money on gems than I used to since my commitment to WvW and even to this game has dropped off significantly.
I truly don’t understand why ANet thinks that it’s ok to toss people around from server to server and really think that they love it… because I believe most of us don’t. The ones that do (for the most part) already had moved to higher tier servers… :P
We asked for linking but we didn’t get what we asked for.
Anet used a model no one on the forums laid out.
Many players went to great lengths to show Anet several viable and server saving options for linking but they ignored all of us, giving us a horrid system that buries the servers, doesn’t create better alliances since we have no idea who is whom any longer.
Case in point? We asked that the top three never be linked – ever.
Case in point? Servers go from first to seventh in less than two weeks when “relinked”.
There are many more I am sure all of you could list.
The problem is, and has been, that Anet isn’t listening to players who play more than a couple of hours over those who are in WvW many hours a day and rarely in other game modes.
When Anet finally listened to players on many issues it was because there was a reddit that gained a huge up arrow percentage on that particular issue. Most of us don’t read reddit.
Reddit, more than the forums, (which four plus years on still can’t be ‘searched’ at all since the search NEVER worked) has driven this game’s direction.
Fix the forums.
Fix your listening skills of those who do WvW more than any other game mode.
Realize that the true ‘end game’ of GW2 is WvW, not pvE or PvP – always has been, always will be.
Until they realize it and put in the same effort they do in other game modes WvW will always be the red-headed-step-child-who-never-has-enough-to-eat-and-shabby-clothes-to-wear.
Go to any Vista in WvW… any, and see the ‘care’ has been given. There’s nothing… no name, no cool thing, just a blank space where a name should be and that’s four plus years of ignoring that and so many other issues, glitches and mistakes.
Ask many WvW’ers when the last time someone ‘glitched’ into a keep or tower.

Is there any hint, that the Halloween event ends at 1. november 2016 or later?
If it’s there after today’s reset (about 5pm Pacific) we will know it’s going longer, but this is garbage not to tell people after four years when it start and ends.
This is the only event I can think of that we have to guess at constantly.
I feel like this is something that should really be addressed…
Right now when a person takes an Ewaypoint while it is still active but takes too long to load in, he gets redirected back to a different place once the Ewaypoint expires…
This is really annoying considering how ridiculous are loading times in this game in general.. half the time I cannot even make it in even if I take the Ewaypoint as soon as it pops… Then I end up being redirected to citadel or w.e.
Can this pls be fixed?
It’s not just the loading times, which are approaching 30 seconds to get into the game alone on every single start of the game, it’s also the fact that the waypoint is not staying active for the “stated” time.
There are many times when an EWP has been pulled and instead of being there for xxx time, it’s gone in less than ten seconds, leaving most who are loading in, back to spawn and losing the darn property.
The timers are off.
The loading time isn’t being considered.
Maybe they’re trying to create stable tiers?
Making JQ full and unlinked guarantees they stay T2 for a long time to come. TC without a link can’t compete in T1. Mag and YB linked and open mean they stay top tier, BG perma full but rightly so (even though its unfair that mag stays open).
But then they make weird matchups -
FA are going to lose every single skirmish this week. Everyone hates being placed in a matchup with YB – but you put 2 extremely volatile servers JQ and TC with them (as if trying to get them to implode).
Only goal I see is encouraging transfers. Maybe they see that WvW volatility can be lucrative ($20+ a pop to a “very high” server) and are going to milk it dry rather than actually making it fun and fair.
This is exactly it, they see an opportunity for $$$$, so screw logic and the players… just chase the dollars.
We need to know who it is in Anet who thinks that this ‘version’ of WvW is viable for the players !
Don’t pick on the servers; ask those who write the software why they aren’t in the game with us daily.

Whoever is working in WvW at this company has ZERO experience in playing WvW and can’t SEE what is happening first hand.

Anet is being anything but clear about WvW linking and when it will occur again.
This lack of care is destroying WvW – not making it more fun.
I know there is a multitude of posts on reddit but I don’t see any here. What is the official word for the DR hitting the Lab this year? Last year it was just right with 2-3 hours before hitting. Now this year hits and it’s 30-45 minutes before you have to swap characters and then spend the same time again before another char swap.
And to add to the fact that there is a new 120 Cob mini that we have to farm for, isn’t the DR in Lab just a bit too harsh?
After supposedly removing all diminishing returns in the labyrinth, I get more bones, garbage and more garbage since before the announcement and the “change” was made.
Small group or large, (far more pronounced with two to five), one gets almost nothing for an hour of hacking and slashing now.
Perhaps I misunderstand the awarding of the daily key fragments for Mad King Says; however, I’ve done the event 4 times today and have only been granted 2 key fragments. The first time I did the event, I arrived late and was only able to get 10 stacks of the buff, thus earning 2 key fragments. The other 3 times I did the event, I got all 15/15 stacks of the buff, but was not awarded my 3rd key fragment.
I haven’t gotten a key several times when I did all of the event. I should have one for each day and I do not.
It seems the game is not keeping track of individual “have you done this” in the database.
Not the first time but most damaging since it’s a very limited event that should, by all rights, be much longer.
For a couple of updates now the icons for the keeps, towers, camps have been tilted.
Bug reports in game seem to do absolutely nothing. These are the latest.

Going to metabattle, the powers that be saw that the boon share meta was very popular ergo, not “play as you want” again and nerfed to the ground.
Not just mesmers and necros, you have to put revenants in there as well as any other nerfs such as longbow on druid, one of the skills was changed without ever mentioning it anywhere I can find.
There has been no “balance” for WvW. None. I can go to metabattle in two months like anyone else and say “hey, that’s too powerful, we need to nerf that” and not even worry about real balance.
The lack of mathematical acumen in any game production seems to be a very serious issue and one that can’t be ignored much longer.
Does it matter?
The mechanicsl No.
The fact that others will wrongly call another “cheesy” because they can beat them by any mechanics they haven’t thought of or can’t use well? Yes.
The problem is that there is no “rotation” in NA. Where did all the SoR players go? Where have all the DB players gone? The only rotation in NA is the players jumping from one dying T1 server to the next bandwagon T2 server. Until recently, JQ was always T1. And for years it’s been BG>TC>FA>Mag, with DB and SoS rising and falling.
There has never been more than a 4 server rotation in NA, unlike the 9 server rotation in EU. Your rotation dream will never happen because of the attitudes of the NA players, who’d rather stack to win instead of trying to win an even numbered fight through skill. This attitude of the NA players has caused server locking to fail, it’s caused server linking to fail and it will cause battlegroups to fail.
What? This made no sense. The tiers aren’t locked. The match up changes frequently. The rankings changes frequently. As we progress, it happens at an greater effect to the point now, where we are seeing NSP in Tier 2 and Yaks Bend in Tier 1 coming from Tier 4. Each time people are forced to move. They are also forced to spread. Every 2 months a reevaluation happens to set this into greater effect.
There is indeed a rotation of servers hoping throughout the tiers. The Tiers are not locked nor should they have ever been locked.
Yeah, YB in a T1 match with zero first place skirmishes and a KDR of 0.5 along with NSP with 6 first place skirmishes and also a KDR of 0.5 must be tons of fun for both of them.
Artificially rotating servers into a matchup that they don’t belong is not going to spread out the population.
Hrm Last week YB came in second in Tier 1 and beat two Tier 1 servers in Tier 2 the week before and KDR doesn’t mean coverage. Try not to focus on 1 week or 1 tier.
YB did not come in “Second” in the last two weeks.
The only reason we did three weeks before was because DK came out of hiding and didn’t tank.
Now we’ve been told to stand down and tank. Tanking hurts players. Tanking is manipulation.
Manipulation of the game, the players and massive abuse of those who will not stand down is in progress – and not one has addressed the blatant 2v1 we see in every Tier and on most servers.
Maybe it’s time for WvW= 1v1 server and forget the third.
To clarify, the mention to go to a monthly re-link was mentioned in the same post and in relevance to moving away from Glicko to a 1up1down system. I believe they specified that the Glicko system would be too slow for 1 month.
The only post I ever saw is that linking will be every month.
Tell us when you found a later post that stated it will stay every two months.

There is a serious problem with that poll; many of us, far too many, never had a chance to even see, let alone vote, in that poll.
Tanking? You mean quitting for a specified period of time. You mean leaving a server bare for those who play, even in Tier 1 to try to play WvW at all? Tanking is horridly wrong.

You are one of the many who play “traitor” against your main server.
Ok, so Anet is being a bit silly about those who go to one server then go back to the other one and report (and BOY do they report!) the movements seen AND the TS that they are registered in.
If people are allowed to cheat in such a way, the manipulation of WvW is far more a danger than “linking” ever will be.
Good players aren’t traitors to one server or another.
Loyal players are seemingly a shrinking population on many WvW servers.
If you play on servers that are fighting one another, you are a manipulator.
That, my friend, is wrong in more ways than I’d ever be able to list.
Manipulation of WvW has been and is still being ignored – never spoken about, just ignored.

Greetings, Tyrians!
We are here today to talk about some of the build-thematic changes that will be coming with the next balance iteration. Depending on your chosen profession and your role in combat, these changes may require some stat-swapping on your gear. We feel that giving a bit of a “heads-up” is appropriate.
One of the most notable changes being made is to the healing values of the Druid as a primary healer. Base values for the Celestial Avatar heals will be reduced, while the healing power contribution will be enhanced significantly. The reasoning for these changes is that while we are excited about the Druid being an incredibly strong healer, we would also like to see that role as one of many choices in your attribute build.
Similarly, there will be changes in boon duration and boon application for a few professions. For the Revenant, we’ll be looking at reducing Naturalistic Resonance’s base boon duration. For Mesmer, we’re looking at making Signet of Inspiration’s boon sharing functionality a bit more controlled, giving each shared boon a fixed duration. To help compensate for these general reductions, we’ll be increasing both damage and a few different baseline boon durations.
As this update rolls out we will continue to monitor the effectiveness of these changes, along with the remainder of the balance updates, and will make additional adjustments and tweaks as necessary. Thanks very much for your time!

So after a year of finally getting my druid to a point where it doesn’t die 1v1, you decide to nerf the only reason to be a druid.
Healing has already been nerfed. You’re just showing that “balance” will never happen, that just a few people who “complain” on social media get the attention, rather than the game itself.
Druids were supposed to be the healer, now, you take even that away from an already “disrespected” and “disparaged” profession.

I wanted to address the idea of moving world linking to monthly instead of every 2 months, since it is being brought up more and more frequently.
The team isn’t opposed to this idea; we actually think it would be beneficial to move to monthly because it would allow us to iterate faster on how we are calculating which worlds should be linked. However, the main reason for not doing this right now is the matchmaking algorithm, Glicko. Each time we shuffle worlds via world linking it takes about 4 weeks’ worth of matches before Glicko begins to reliably match make those new worlds into balanced matches. If we did world linking monthly, Glicko would not be able to create balanced matchups.
Our next priority poll is going to be asking if players would rather have us work on adding rewards to skirmishes (and possibly other feedback items being collected from this thread) or replace Glicko matchmaking with a 1-up 1-down system (wherein the winner moves up a tier and the loser moves down a tier.) The 1-up 1-down system should work better with monthly linkings than Glicko, so we are most likely going to hold off on 1 month linkings until that system is in.
Another possibility we could pursue is 1 month linkings, but use the Glicko offset system to guarantee the matches. Alternatively, we could manually change Glicko ratings to what we believe they should be for each world. Either option would force worlds to start out closer to being in the correct tier and thus give better matches faster. These options are contentious, so even if everyone on the forums seemed to like this idea it would be something we would poll on.

That’s ridiculous to say the least!
The Battlegroup plan could be interesting, but it’s in an awkward spot vs. existing WvW.
It’s different enough that it should be a separate or new mode. Most notably it’s a huge change for roamers/casual players/occasional participants to have to enroll into a battlegroup before playing.
It’s similar enough for the hardcore and big guild players that it would compete for attention and time with current WvW.
I suppose I don’t have a lot of faith in ANet’s ability to deliver on a concept like that given the attention and resources they’ve been willing to focus on WvW so far.
Battlegroup? That’s like going backwards both in time and effort.
Roamers would be gone.
WvW would be a non-played game mode for even more people than it is now.
I think we shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the possibility of tanking. If say I were to be a leader of a guild of 50 dedicated wvw players and we’re part of an alliance who agreed not to play for a period of time. That would definitely have an impact on population metrics. I think the population is measured on activity, right or no?

It’s not perfect, but seems to be working better than what we had right before the linkings. My one gripe is that being on a “guest” server, we no longer have an identity. Our actual server name is not used in WvW in any meaningful way. It is harder to recruit people or be recruited in a guild because not everyone on the map is on your server and if you join a cross-server guild, that may work against you when the next linking occurs within 2 months and that guild’s main server is now either your enemy or in a completely different tier. Voice communication is also harder to coordinate with multiple servers that switch every 2 months. I really think server merges are the next logical step, because at this point, I already don’t feel like I’m on my own server anyway. At least a merge would give guest servers a more permanent identity to what we have now, and allow us to build a sense of community instead of feeling like gypsies. I also hate knowing that I’m fighting against the wonderful people I was linked with previously…it doesn’t feel right.

We aren’t independent servers any longer.
The linking isn’t working to “lower population” or “lower queues” except after the most played times – which for most is 4pm PST to early in the morning. Even then we can get queues at 4am!
You gotta evolve man. Stop complaining and find a way to counter. Because there are ways to counter already.
I have a much better idea… how about anet, who takes in millions per month, devote the effort to work on professions and create some different cc rule sets for pvp modes.
How about your suggestion be across the board in all game modes?
Players should not be able to be hit by any MORE than three other players, thereby removing the CC from the equation and replacing it with a far more skill and cooperation based fight.

Im breaking a stun or getting dazed/chilled/immobilized every couple of seconds vs some groups (condi map blob). Often times seemingly through stab or maybe it’s getting stripped or corrupted. Add to it DHs or whatever somehow pulling me mid teleport.
It’s very annoying to have people barfing out so much cc in fights. Just walking is a pain in the kitten most of the time. Marks on the ground are usually dripping with cc. Throw in all the passive taunt and fear running around.
Seriously this stuff isn’t fun anymore. Map blobs just melee train up and roll in one direction. 4 or 5 of them always leap way ahead and die like idiots. They catch stuff in cc then kill rinse repeat.
Tone down the cc. Having basilisk venom connected to every freaking well and mark probably sounded like a good idea but it wasn’t. CC is over the top atm. /rant
Stuns don’t break stuns for more than half a second.
Protection is useless.
Invulnerable doesn’t always mean invulnerable.

Hi, I’ve been working really hard on my crafting for Kudzu through volume 2. I was almost finished crafting my basic elder longbows. I believe I had around 240 and after I made a couple more, I realized that it was gone. All my hard work down the drain.
I’m positive I had it before the roll back and now it’s all gone. Can you help? I don’t want to have to waste my time redoing something I’ve worked on for a good 2 months, at least.Thank you in advance.

Anet doesn’t believe you and I about the loss of materials in its database – and it’s been happening for over two years without them doing a thing about it except to argue with those who have zero reason to lie.
I have had several items including T-6 mats returned by Anet – after I proved to them they were there and the mystic forge made more than one mistake.
Not all of my things were returned, so I will never attempt to “make” a legendary ever again.
Even a real world cash to gem item was lost – and it took weeks to get it back after proving to every single person (far too many) that I bought it with my darn credit card.

I had to uninstall and reinstall – all while emailing Anet support for two weeks straight.

When this bug occours, the selling dialog scrolls towards the bottom every time I sell an item. Selling them via right cllick -> sell, double click or the sell button on the bottom right doesn’t make a difference.

I have no idea why and when it occours. Seems pretty random to me. Sometimes I can sell normally, sometimes I can’t. It can be there from the second I log in or only occour after hours of consecutive playtime. Sometimes I sell a few items just fine and then the bug appears at the 4th or 5th sale. However, once the bug is active it becomes really hard to get rid of it and it is guaranteed to happen on every item I sell from there on.Closing and re-opening the vendor doesn’t fix it. Relogging or restarting the game doesn’t affect it. It disappears on it’s own after 30 to 60minutes if I just ignore it and keep playing.
However, playing another character does make a difference. The bug seems to haunt each character individually.What I tried:
Naturally, I suspected my mouse. I tried to double click the insides or drag and click around the frames of other dialogs which also have scroll bars but the bug doesn’t show up there.
I also don’t experience any issues while zooming, rotating the camera, clicking at enemies or whatever you do during normal gameplay and I don’t have any issues with my mouse in other games or programs.
And finally, I tried replugging my mouse and plugging it into a different usb port. No change and effect whatsoever.This bug is 100% limited to vendor dialog.
Mouse clicks/scrolling are WAY OFF THE MARK.
Scrolling must be done WAY right of the movement bar or doesn’t work until you grab the darn bar.
This is not just vendors, it’s impacting clicking on almost anything.
Perhaps, it’s like the redirect link on the forums only, to the Support web-page that no longer works for me. Any other guildwars2 site page’s redirect to Support works fine. The forum one is borked (for me, and a few others, I guess).

I DELETED the last poll and this one had a different date altogether, so unless someone on the Anet side is being played, this is yet another example of the GUI not working – in many cases, at all, for some.

Actually, it’s probably a reaction to the real feeling one gets when one hears the same thing over and over again.
If Anet knows that it’s annoying to hear the same thing (storyline accepted, but negated at this point), why can’t they allow us who are players to come up with thousands of more so they never repeat?
We need to be part of the game – art does nothing since it’s not being incorporated into the game, so as players, we ask to be included in stopping the boring sameness of the same phrases which turn people off in the extreme.

Halloween is the most anticipated event and it doesn’t last as long as it should.
