my point was it’s not worth the price of a legendary for just hair.. if arena net modified the item to accommodate hair, eye, and tattoos than it may actually be a worthwhile trading post item.. they can leave face, body, and name changes to the gem shop

can someone confirm that this is a permanent version of the hair stylist kit..
i started grinding toward one of these until i realized the hairstylist kit only changes hair and facial hair..

because of the mindset that it is super rare and horrendously priced on the trading post, i somewhat disregarded that it probably doesn’t include eye color changes or norn tattoo changes..

i can understand arena net not wanting to implement a total make over kit as tradable.. but leaving this long ago wintersday prize item stagnate to the point where there is virtually no supply and also not revising it to a less lackluster condition, that its reimplementation through black lions chests has the demand priced higher than bifrosts!?

yeh, i’ve recommended in like 3 different threads that they recommission the holo projector.. they can program different statues that way and the gw2 players can vote on the new “lion’s arch” “phoenix arch” “sea-lion’s arch” “pinipal arch”
it would be infinitely more memorable than the evon-kiel election. . .

now to consider staff mobility and aura access:
upcoming changes are being made to elemetnalist’s ‘line of fire’ skills
does “burning retreat’s” fire field serve a purpose? the damage will be negligible post patch.. and a fire field is accessible through lava font
should this skill be changed to a forward motion that grants might? should the fire field be removed? or left as is with a fire aura added to it?
now, assuming burning retreat remains a backwards motion skill, should a slight rush forward be added to ‘windborne speed’

i’m not against revisions, but i think tequatl was too much of a change
you may not get a standing ovation for smaller revisions, but ultimately the players will thank you. . .

you wunna talk about world boss changes? remove the storage crate from golem mark 2.. try it, just for a couple of days.. i implore you to do so, and then we will see if arena net is up to the challenge of more complicated boss revisions…

to stay on topic, nuke the shatter afk spot.. i don’t mind what mechanic you use or if it is even lore related.. just nuke that spot. . . .

also, i suggested an idea for a new world boss event a few months ago and it received absolutely no feedback whatsoever

i try to use tonics that turn me into something very small.. i bought the tunneling tool for this but sadly it drags down the camera so it was kinda pointless.. anyone have a recommendation of a tonic smaller than the charge potion?

yep, it’s a fire sale and the village has burnt down..
apparently the appalling idea of charging for additional colors put the new tags in some sort of unattainable place.. yet somehow, now that they are on sale everyone and their cousin can magically afford them.. i’m not saying they should be an elite item, but arena net certainly shouldn’t have caved 100% on this one..

forget commander tags, if everyone complains enough 800gem items will be reduced to 266gems ! ! which commander should i follow? ..the one that can get me a discount

i find the title of this thread highly amusing
and i will be honest.. you answered your own question, why is arena net so focused on newer players? because they focused on level 80s for the past 2 years.. everything about this game has been pvp, wvw, or fluff content.. the hilarious part about this is it only caters to the vocal minority.. you can straw poll all you want, but it’s better to look at actual statistics.. i’ll make it simple to understand, mmorpg players are the oxygen of your mmorpg.. if arena net has a list of agenda at headquarters tyria should be written in bold letters at the top.. yes, people love pvp and fluff content and they whine about it most and loudest because it always had the easiest talking point.. and certain things will always have its crowd of players, but arena net made a mistake and the game is looking like an old sitcom with the same 10 patrons sitting around the bar and nobody else is around..

i’ll agree that most of the ‘big’ changes we get in gw2 are QoL changes you would have seen in other mmo on a much better schedule.. but please, just because it may not be the content you want, don’t use it as a segue to whine.. the players need to be honest if they want the company to be honest.. “oh, that’s a good feature.. i’d even pay gems for that!” vs feature arrives “i’ve waited on this how dare you charge me for it!” a few weeks ago people were so poor in tyria they almost had no hope of buying commander tags.. lower prices and a grandfather policy and magically Everyone has at least 1/3 of the previously proposed price!? see attachment
Arena net should listen, communicate, and mind their decisions. They shouldn’t cave just for positive feedback and they shouldn’t make excuses either. Again, the honesty thing.. have you ever tried this one? ever? “we appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm but we simply aren’t looking in that direction just now.. we’ll keep it in mind while we all try to stay on the same page and move forward” or “we fell a bit short on that one and we aren’t ignoring the issue” See what i did there? it sounds better than ’it’s on the table Somewhere, we’re loooking into it’ just be honest and more importantly be human
you may be arena net, but you represent something more important.. tyria and everyone who plays in that place..

in summation- stand together upon truer foundation, or fall apart

if you cheap out and use self acquired forge stones you are wasting 90c per salvage
if you’re a salvage junkie who purchases stones in the gem store
you are saving 11.40s per salvage

that’s actually my math from a few weeks ago, so it’s probably saving certain people a bit more.. it’s like the food and utility primers, if i use it on completely cheap food there’s no advantage to using it.. but in some rare instances it could sort of be useful.. also, you just need to consider that the copper fed is totally sound and usually costs more gems.. this was a simple revamp and costs less gems and more importantly took very little effort for arena net to implement so you can’t really blame them for doing so..

key farming is broken, it’s only “not an exploit” or i should say not Considered an exploit because you get 2-3 lousy keys per hour.. the queensdale champ train needed to go, the frostgorge on the other hand i see no reason why level 80s can’t grind.. broken is broken, but there’s always going to be a discussion on “should we have this.” not to be the bearer of bad news, but if it hurts the develpers bottom line it’s probably going to take a hit at some point, because they’d rather you take out a second job than lavish your characters.. to be perfectly honest, i no longer grind without trepidation..    thanks arena net

i have 300 magi find and use the infusion.. i do notice an increase in yellows, but to be quite honest i don’t notice a huge difference between 220% -350% magic find.. so for the exception of a few extra rares each day, you have to consider if it’s worth pushing magic find and investing in boosters as well.. also, i was recently given a huge slap on the wrist simply for grinding open world content, so.. i’m really not sure what i can ‘recommend’ to people at this point

can you please re-colorize the dragon.. maybe not green because mordremoth would be too obvious, and i don’t recall zhaitan being red.. i understand the arena net logo is red, but have the dragon and the forums and the t-shirts still white and red? it’s been 2 years..

yes, there was speculation that an under abundance of sprockets would give watchwork mining pick users a ‘free win’ button.. i have the home instance sprocket generator and they actually are not worth too much..

i am curious to whether or not the randomly found sprockets from the watchwork pick reduce the number of extra items randomly found from other tools.. as i have maxed magic find and a molten pick.. if that is the case then i am actually glad i do not have the watchwork pick

consider yourself lucky, yesterday i was disconnected and my account was “permanently terminated” for “botting” without warning. i’ve never botted on any game and i actually don’t even know how. i’m an early start player of two years and there’s no reason to even conjecture that i do.. in the bear situation, i would have moved.. instruments can be annoying and sometimes limit the number of sounds people are hearing, also being stacked for no reason bothers me already.. the lack of civil communication in both scenarios is rather disappointing

the only thing i can contribute to this is If you are considering ptv.. you may actually want to craft a Tonn weapon, which is ptV.. my reasoning is simply that weapons are the only equipment that offer ascended sentinel stats.. again, that is only If you were looking to inject some vitality into your build.. as apposed to whatever else

i think what this guy is saying is “according to contested areas green team must be hitting red keep” but “green team decided to backtrack and smoke out my entire squad”
anyway, that’s a non arena net player.. if they even suspected you of violating game terms you would be instantly disconnected and banned.. they do it in this manner on the forums, and also in the game..
i know this because today i was disconnected during Manual Open World play, thought it was another server crash.. and could not log in, “account permanently terminated” because “botting”
it’s possible i was reported and they decided that killing more than one sparkfly within the hour is some new appalling and inhuman grind tactic        ..my bad, right?

yeah, so.. there’s very few items in game i’m interested in at this point.. i thought i’d be a good little soldier and set a goal for myself.. i don’t champ train, i do very few dungeons anymore, i actually do world boss train each day seeing how arena net set up a schedule for it, i do Not flip the trading post.. i decided to old fashioned grind, play some music in the background, keep to myself.. {the only other alternative was open 600 black lion chests or spend a few hundred real world dollars} so after a few hours today my main character, {who has clocked in 5k hours in 729 days, in fully ascended gear, who in the past week has done world boss train, dungeons, EotM, ground spvp for a Non-Sellable Back Item, pretty sure i even stopped in regular wvw recently, and occasionally pops a comm tag to mentor pre events}, in the middle of active Manual Open World gameplay had my account disconnected and “closed permanently”..

so yes, to share in this threads sentiment.. i too was slightly bored, and am now egregiously disappointed

We can’t do fast dungeons multiple times every day due the DR cutting drops every time.
We can’t farm because every time we find a farming spot you nerf it (like blix) and if you don’t nerf directly the farm usually you nerf the drop rate of everything valuable.
We can’t craft and sell things because everyone can craft everything so, excluding temporany spikes due new items, there are almost no profit.

the opening post is concerning me quite a bit today as the only item i see much value in the game right now is listed around 4kgold on the trading post and i am currently locked out of the game for manually grinding open world content.

i do the world boss train each day and will admit that i don’t always do the pre events but more often than not will run my commander tag along the pre events so new players can learn.. rather than just afk-ing my commander tag in the end boss area.. i don’t even stand on the supply crate at golem because it’s a ridiculous exploit.. i even tried teaching a non-exploit route for one of the starter dungeons, again to help new players learn, but the majority of the time it was people griefing the group or in my humble opinion someone who wasn’t ready for doing dungeons.. i ultimately felt it was more trouble on me than it was worth.. i don’t do dungeons much anymore because there is so much of this ‘exploit or get out’ anymore..

i’m the first to complain, sometimes subjectively, but i praise too.. i commended arena net for this years living world content.. the profession balance of this game concerns me.. i can’t go into that sort of forum without someone yelling at me that 2 + 2 isn’t 4 and typically my increasingly bad mood gets my posts infracted..

i feel like a hurt animal who growls when they are upset and is ultimately punished for not falling in line.. so if Any aspect of this game or its community Can improve, please make sure it Does improve.. because, maybe this is just me, i have a dwindling faith in humanity.. ..and quaggans

pretty sure accounts are restorable.. also pretty sure i didn’t violate the terms of service, rules of conduct, or user agreement.. though there’s probably a “we can delete things you spent time and money on because we feel like it” clause somewhere.. seeing how i have some free time today, i thought this might be a pertinent issue for discussion.. you’ll please excuse me if i’m wrong on that last point.. i think maybe i will also take this time to contemplate the redeeming values of this game over its competitors

i’m just glad chickenado is getting nerfed.. sometimes i cast meteor shower, activate tornado, and when i come back from walking my yorkshire terrier.. stonemist castle is claimed for my guild, my spvp enemies are all in downed state reevaluating their strategies, i’m getting free shipping for orders over $5 and arena net is sending me precursors and pinipal minis. . .

i’m not even going to tell you what happens when i utilize a burning retreat combo.. it would blow your minds

Stone Flesh -augments toughness by 1.5 points per level, while attuned to earth

this was a buff elementalist received awhile back.. it was a baby step in the right direction.. an additional half point per level while not attuned to earth would be reasonable

the passive does nothing,
the active innitiates an immediate lava tomb
coming this fall

what’s wrong with 2 and 5  ._.

pretty good change on the sword.. the leap is getting a buff.. it was a pretty wonky skill to begin with and why it took them so long to correct is beyond me
the storm glyph change is long overdue.. same with earth signet.. air and fire were alright, but the buffs are appreciated.. water signet buff was fair, and fixing the elemental auxiliary functions deserves credit.. and a certain crowd of players had their grandmasters debugged.. it’s absurd to think burning retreat needed attention but it’s possible it got thrown in with the rework, so whatever

i visited the vendor but they weren’t open yet.. i run with no title, was glancing through them recently and noticed loyal.. it’s from having a character 365 days.. i don’t think it has anything to do with the birthday vendor.. i wish there was a super long questline to get a ‘havroun’ title.. that’d be really great for my norn elementalist.. maybe season 3    >_<

there’s actually a starter story where the worker class asurans are protesting with signs and everything.. it’s kind of funny, unlike the complaining on this forum.. do people even play this game? what’s most unsettling is arena net gets the most flak when they buckle down and do their job.. it’s late and to be quite honest i think i’m simply writing this post out of disgust.. mmo solutions aren’t always simple, but with the company and the player community it just seems they’re digging the hole deeper and deeper. . .

the profession is in one of the best states right now, compared to others. multiple viable builds and roles in all game modes.

though that’s not to say it couldn’t be improved. overreliance on cantrips because most other utilities are bad, for example, could be fixed.

over-reliance on other professions because elementalist is bad… gotcha

speaking of moa, i’m hoping tigg broadens his horizons and when lion’s arch Is rebuilt he formulates a mini moa tonic.. so instead of moa racing we can have a revamped dolyak tonic race {except with moas}

wow, this thread is all over the place.. it’s gone from lions arch is ugly to crying about waypoints and super adventure box.. holidays? we already skipped dragons bash, what? the free people of tyria can’t afford piñatas and burnable effigies now? makes sense. . . and tell me what redeeming values does lions arch have that it should be rebuilt as soon as possible.. it was a town run by pirates, who by the way aren’t responsible for the destruction as much as countless deaths during the attack.. it was a town built on strife and strengthened through the free peoples of tyria, who are incidentally still plagued by elder dragons..

i only agree that we should have seen some reasonable changes since march.. it’s currently a grief stricken merchant outpost, which makes sense.. arena net may be busy, but they should have went a few steps farther and [suggestion] replaced the lions statue with the holographic projector.. {it’s already built, just have some trendy asuran program a lion hologram}
also, i think a new symbol should be implemented [and determined by the players] seeing how any history or persons who took pride in the “lion’s arch” is and are thoroughly Dead..
