seriously, ..Seriously, being a wvw’er means it’s beyond possible for you to have ever had the resources to acquire 3 current commander tags?  give me a break

Blue costs 100 gold
Yellow costs 5000 WvW badges
Green costs 1000 dungeon tokens or 1000 fractal relics
Red costs 300 gold and must be rank 30 PvP
Purple costs 800 gems
Orange costs 2 million karma
etc.

Everyone wins, more fun and encourages cross-game type play (yes, gem store too).

We haven’t even gotten to “guild” tags (a shield with your guild logo) that would cost guild influence for one use.

i used to wvw a lot.. really liking how the pvE is going lately
was browsing back pieces today and thought one was half decent but it’s only available in pvp.. so, i’m doing that now.. can’t say i’m really enjoying it  /shrug

why are there like 10 topics on this? z_z

1) i think in essence ‘exploring’ a dungeon isn’t actually exploring it.. there’s only so many things you could do to make it non-linear.. i support it, but it’s more practical to do non-linear content in open world..
2) again, ‘exploring’ isn’t quite exploring and i’m going to skip to 4) here.. some mobs should be faceroll, Some mobs should be clever or captivating.. what can you really reward players with to motivate them.. fun and playability should be the developers highest priorities when building a dungeon.. but you need to factor in Replayability, time spent and loot.. i’ll be quite honest, most of the community will exploit and run their way past junk mobs or ‘fun mobs’ for a bland piece of gold..
3) dynamic environments are always a plus.. if it’s not convoluted or a waste of resources then sure
5)solo dungeon play is a pitiful display of poor balance and a shortcomming of mmorpg.. if there is a game encounter designed as a solo-path, that’s completely acceptable.. if people are solo-ing regular paths, well.. that really puts the dungeon path in pathetic.. there’s nothing wrong with seeking challenges in whatever corner of a game you choose to do so, but if people are solo-ing a dungeon path.. it’s brokenness needs to be taken into consideration
6)bugs and exploits… find them, fix them
if something becomes blatantly obvious.. the general consensus is “why is it like that” and it’s not a puzzle.. doing it that way better be exceedingly fun compared to the original design, otherwise it is obscure junk

if you’re a salvage junkie who purchases stones in the gem store

i’m cleric too.. both the ascalon statue and part 2 end encounter had a moment where i thought to myself.. i’m not gunna get this.. but like i said my main logged 5k hours and i’m in ascended gear, a build i’m moderately comfortable with {i’ll leave pleads to buff my class for the balance subforums} so i’m glad i got it my first try.. i think people are going to have a lot of fun with these

ahah, good to see some janthirs still have a sense of humor
the first thing out of this installment was game text.. i was annoyed at first {my default} then it was actually kinda fun, then i got bored with it.. but then it was fun again.. as for the rest of the release, it had enough fighting and non typical mechanics.. it even had some moments of suspense and the way arena net is approaching the story/characters is finally opening up farther possibilities..

the story journal is a good mix of everything and sorry it isn’t everyone’s favorite flavor, but it’s a vast improvement from what the game has had.. even with that said, i think it’s starting to stand on its own merits..

with the way the end confrontation played out.. did anyone get the feeling, ’they’re going to kill off my character’

There are many emotions one can encounter when going into a dark cave, but korra simply sighed as this was something that had to be done.. besides, this was the far shiverpeaks.. she felt right at home here.. When she got far enough into it, Korra glanced back at the cave entrance before proceeding.. The farther she progressed the more apparent it became this was an uncomplicated cave system.. inviting almost..

She eventually came across a set of discarded armor.. was it discarded? Korra had been to enough forges over the years to know just by looking that it was particularly risiliant.. it was quite large yet lacked bulkiness.. very well adorned with carvings and trophy pieces.. She knew it wasn’t cosmetic… she left it there and continued through the cave system.. she used a small fire spell to illuminate the path ahead

Delving into a cave seemingly devoid of life for the sake of life.. was that irony? No spiders, imps.. nothing; Korra didn’t come to this place for nothing.. She could be pretty mission driven sometimes, but that was only sometimes.. she hadn’t been complacent for a long time, certainly not since the breachmaker.. Feeling lost while taking due coarse, that’s just. . . . .

She finally came to a larger cavern.. illuminated by a firepit, someone lived there and was aware of Korra’s presence.. It was a Jotun.. standing there, no taller than six feet.. it looked back at her, and spoke..

it’s the ‘first’ heart quest in queensdale.. which is part of the early stages of personal story.. at the end of the first questline, you get a black lion key.. so people are constantly going to that farm, over feeding the cow, watering the stalks..      you forgot the part where people run off with a bag of feed to exploit the swiftness skill

i’ll blindly welcome any changes they make to the profession.. simply because pvp doesn’t exist in this game, it’s an unbalanced trainwreck of no consequence.. i can easily name more than two dozen avid game players {and some game builders} who have dropped this profession and then the game entirely.. a lot of them respectfully disagree with how this game progressed.. i know it’s kind of dumb to speak for someone else, but for all the fallen elementalists i’ll try to generalize.. a seemingly well built profession degenerated into a subpar and unoriginal chore of a game class.. it’s less fun when the game is playing you and when self proclaimed heroes of their profession regurgitate the same tired and baseless arguments it’s even less fun.. so however they decide to change this profession, i’m just hoping it turns a few heads and brings some players back to the game

you can’t give the grove’s avatar a get out of jail free card.. the hierarchy of all other playable races is susceptible to damage.. if it can’t be done without conflicting player character creation, then it’s substandard game lore..

home portal stone, buyable in the gem store
is an inventory item, when double clicked.. it will transport you to your Home Instance
it does not function in wvw, or dungeons
once you are finished in your home instance, double clicking the item will return you to your previous location in tyria.. clicking the small door icon above your mini map will also send you to your previous open world location..
without the use of this item, the small door icon returns you to your Racial City.. you can still return to your Racial City from a ‘portal stone’ instance by leaving through the ‘physical’ exit or entrance..

i just tested it out and it literally saves me 30 seconds or a singular waypoint fee lol
