did rox have a particular stance on going to concordia, i only remember her saying something about taimi.. and the player response was, yeah she’s a kid but she was right..

the only thing i can think of is they are both smart but taimi is less reserved.. i mean taimi jumped into a machine and We got zapped lol..
and this is just me, but when the game wanted our stance on meddling with the machine.. my first reaction was i need to talk with rox
then gw2 told me to speak with kasmeer and i was like immediate facedesk

skipping directly past scarlet and keeping on the subject of elder dragons.. to be quite honest, i’m hoping mordremoth is dead already.. Dead, you heard me.. i’m not interested in more little shop of horrors poison spamming or whatever this dragon rising is supposed to captivate us with.. aside from lion’s arch, does it even have anything to do with mainland tyria

i wrote that like, a month or two ago.. i’m obviously not very invested in where they’re taking this game and i found the unlisted retal to be lazy and trolltastic.. my computer has no trouble running the graphics and i didn’t notice the ground roots until i was halfway through this release.. i’m not proud to say i went through the entire release without getting downed once {though i did on replay}.. arena net does a good job of mixing up their own mechanics, but anyone not fully invested in this chapter {like me} is going to find it a bit frustrating {or boring}.. i’m also running ascended armor and people who aren’t are probably going to have a hard time.. {although there are plenty of absolutely broken builds in this game and arena net Did give us ‘AntiToxin Spray;’ yeah, remember that? go unlock it}.. props to the baseless ranger complaining in this thread, that was just my laugh of the day.. and the person who apparently has no understanding of what retaliation is but i’m assuming wanted to just flaunt the term active armor around.. i also get the notion someone pitched about these mobs being compared to other corrupted.. they’re basically a tier up past nightmare court though, and we did get to zhaitans upper level mobs but his danger came from the ability to amass an army..

i guess my stance on the matter is i have to agree with the people who are ok with the mobs.. i have to admit arena did an ok job with them.. the season has potential.. if the player base is having trouble, the mordrem are only in instances for the most part.. so there’s plenty of time to approach them better, let guildies help.. i dunno

above poster is correct… with the exception of the sea dragon we’re pretty certain the sequence in which the elder dragons awaken… assume slide 1 is correct.. then it is the zhaitan draconic energy which collides with tyria… interesting, hm? now looking at the other two slides and going from what we believe is canon.. {the colors in the crucible} then the second slide is true and the draconic energies certainly do not excite in the order we’re familiar with? but i can tell you for certain, neither instance shows a blackout of any orb whatsoever.. i recall killing an elder dragon.. so what exactly am i looking at

I actually liked her, so I’m a bit sad. Although Marjory reaction was wooden at best(Kas sounded 200% more realistic).

i thought the avatar motions were good, and sadly this would have been marjory’s best opportunity to have an emotional moment.. {like an actual one for a change} ball dropped, she’s still just a big bad broody whatever statement they’re trying to make her.. could have contrasted it with kasmeer, doesn’t she get angry when people die.. oh, no.. only when it’s marjory.. if there’s any justice in tyria marjory will get killed on the road by a troll and kasmeer will start a scrying pool business for quaggans.. if i’m going to have a disfunctional group member i’d rather take canach.. male, sylvari, engineer who can at least wash the dishes {taken from game}

and lets face it, with this game, belinda isn’t dead because she was a plot device..
she’s dead because she didn’t stack, zerk, and roll a diff profession

most games just use ‘hero’ and it has done pretty well for quite a few years..

it takes a lot of time and consideration to waste resources on a center stage generic of your flagship product

it’s simply Detha can not do her cinematic in combat..

get to the first green circle and cut up the stairs trying not to get ambushed by skelks
second green circle, someone should pop the door open with the chains and by the third circle oozes will spawn, this is where you and everyone in your party Need to Break combat and create as much Distance from you and your mobs.. you And Everyone in your Team should be at the last green circle, out of combat and Detha should follow..
if any mobs are past the gate it’s a bad sign and the event will probably glitch..
if you can’t get detha to sit still with your team, you may have to kill a skelk or an ooze.. if the mobs are fighting eachother you may have to wait until one dies.. If it is in a position to glitch when you started the event, guess what.. it’ll glitch, and your best bet is to trick mobs into killing detha and respawning her center stage when mobs are gone…

now please define “skipping content” because i have no idea how this dungeon is “supposed to be run” or anyone in their right mind who kills every spider and skelk and ghost… arena net isn’t “punishing the skippers and rewarding people who play content correctly” hah, that’ll be the day they are simply leaving a dungeon that is ‘well enough’ “alone”… do you really think it takes over a year to fix the mob which serves the first boss for the first three explorable paths of the game? they could have filled that ditch in so no one could exploit it, it would have taken little effort.. and tell me why the only ghost slaying potion in the game cost 35 silver a swig?

Anyway, a cosplayer actually replicated the armor used for the opening posters main argument.. not only does it look intimidating, but it’s not skimpy enough to deter an Actual human female from wearing it {and looking absolutely awesome by the way}
As a few posters have already stated, if you play the game for 15 seconds you’ll find that there is an equal amount, if not greater, of bulky non-revealing armor.. and this is across all classes and gender

hi, quick question.. can someone who did not start the lfg merge the party with another?

because i just got out of a party with someone who continually griefed the dungeon run and it started with an incongruous party merge..
giving the benefit of doubt here when they said they are not the ones who merged it

z__z i have capped magi find and i think on a good week maybe 2.. i pick up lots of yellows though.. 5k hours and no precursors

umm, from the zhaitaffy salesman? he’s around most of the year.. {not currently} the food is usually a bit cheaper than the regular counterpart but the duration is less
as for dragonbash it really is a great tyrian festival.. so sadly i have a better question, will anything other than mordremoth happen this year

seeing how elementalists ‘have the highest dps in the game’ and they just released nomad armor.. a nomadic elementalist should be an unstoppable force that’s good at Everything.. am i right? c’mon, tell me i’m right.. cuz i’m right, right?  /sarcasm

aside from some isolated rant that could have been vented at some off hour in lion’s arch.. i don’t really see the point of this thread.. the best part is the “i’m gunna quit the team for 15 seconds, look how important i am.” seriously, maybe the tvh guy needed to tweak his strategy and build.. but guess what, all you contributed was some dps and a bad attitude    if at the very least he stayed alive, scraped the elem off the floor, and applied nominal dps.. he did his job and maybe will add more damage into his build in the future.. i’d rather have “that guy” in a group than an unskilled player who wipesout and comes to a conclusion ‘i can fix this with more zerk gear’ y’know ‘cuz it says so on the forums’!

did you read the one about the sylvari who thinks the asuran is her pet bunny or something? i think i spent more time in that little room than i did on the ‘gates of maguuma’ release    .. and my character’s not even in the priory

i somewhat agree, there is much to be explored in tyria 250 years after jora..
current arena net just does a poor job of delivering it, though they seem to have
no trouble kicking a dead horse until all other lore dies of unmitigated apathy..

the forgottens dealings with the elder dragons.. as there were non-human races who were present during their previous awakenings.. it’s possibly disputing the speculation that the human gods brought the forgotten to tyria… it wasn’t saying the human gods had dealings with the dragons, but it was in the same sentence and could have been confusing    :p

it’s possible she was just using the word waypoint and not referring to the tyrian device..

wasn’t balthazar in charge of the battle islands? were there reward points distributions in gw1 like we have in wvw? because that would have been Direct meddling.. i remember lion’s arch had Zaishen until it got blow’d up.. and wasn’t the line of Canthan emperors imbued with dwayna’s power at some point? indirectly resulting in the horrific jade wind.. and also, dwayna Directly inducted Karei into Tahnnakai Temple After Exodus.. and quickly i’ll mention nightfall to get to my point.. the human gods may seem “inactive” right now, but we never know when we are going to bump into some influence of theirs.. as for having a tangible presence in tyria, the thread questions ‘why’ and i can’t help but think ‘why not.’
i’m assuming grenth is in the underworld ‘doing his job’ for the most part.. if the 6 were to ‘show up’ i doubt all 6 of them would {i could be wrong} and personally i wouldn’t mind seeing some melandru influence in the season 2 storyline

One thing to note (other than gameplay purposes), our characters are supposed to be regular mesmers (and warriors, and guardians and so on), while Kasmeer is supposed to be an exceptionally skilled mesmer, which is why she was sent by the mesmer collective to investigate the tower and was able to break the spell hiding it.

That said, my guardian would also want that impenetrable bubble shield of light that Logan does at the end of CoF story..

basically our character was killing 10 rats in a field with a stick 2 years ago.. destiny’s edge kills dragon champions.. no, our character didn’t kill zhaitan.. we helped kill zhaitan

also, my character is a staff elementalist.. they are more proficient at using staff skills as apposed to dragon’s tooth.. it’s possible our living story guild studied/ trained differently.. liadri is a mesmer, wouldn’t that be a “fun” elite skill for pvp  not..  scarlet was an engineer, we should be able to summon a breachmaker  right?

i know if she chose not to be in the warband charr would typically Kill her or just not care about her.. But we are talking about rytlock and he’s no fool {i’m assuming, i actually don’t follow his character too much} but he has sent rox to charr/human peace talks And he does seem to have his own personal interest in the Dragon investigations (he had first hand presence at a ‘thumper’ analysis.. it was in bloodtide coast, i think a lot of people missed it}
i would also maybe want to see an inquest conflicted with what they do.. i love the inquest, they don’t need any goofy motive to be doing evil.. they simply do what they do, But it would be nice to have this sometime during the storyline.. anti-hero potential

oh, yeh.. the charr would be male for obvious reasons {status quo and friction} and the asuran could be either male or female.. whatever arena net feels like

humans/sylvari – we are embarking westward on the tyrian continent.. i doubt there will be any short supply of them in the upcoming installments

although i think it’s alright to develop the scarlet character.. i’m starting to wonder if arena net is playing with a full deck of cards.. i won’t dispute that the ceara room was entertaining, because it was.. but to be quite honest, the DE2.0 voice actors are rather talented and this could have been pulled off in Any scenario.. the sad thing is, arena net seems to be knit picking on their pet projects.. i’d bet a legendary {if i had one} that if we were pressing into far shiverpeaks territory in pursuit of Jormag, We Would have Found a Scarlet Lair there too… now i am not one to rush brilliance, but the epic living world we’ve been following, which should have taken 2 weeks of collaborative writing, has taken us 18 months to unravel.. where is the other 78 weeks worth of lore which should have been implemented along side living story?

anyway, as for the thread title.. it isn’t the first time i’ve heard we know the story a Year in advance ..taking things like that into consideration along with what i’ve typed above leaves me deeply concerned with the progression of this ’m’mo

i know there are some open world events where asurans play around with a gate.. some steam creatures come through.. as for some appearing on their own, it’s not one of my more traveled maps and i’d have to look around
