i’m sorry for all the fictional characters who lost their home to some maniacal plant who severely lacked depth, but i’m glad it’s gone

when my character found its name in lion’s arch, it wanted to knock down the billboard

i really don’t get what the loaded title has to do with anything
i have a desktop running a niv gpu that handles the game well enough
and a perfectly capable amd laptop which i’ve never had any issues with

obviously there is nothing interesting happening in deldrimor

gw2 is an unfinished game and that is the driving force behind all their living story
if you worked at arena net would you Actually sit down everyday and collaborate on developing a rationally progressive world which expands and contracts in accordance with player activity and intriguing storyline?

i’ve been on this game since early start with mostly just the one main character.. i only recently finished the final zhaitan fight a few days ago.. it feels good to get it off the screen.. they really need to break that mission into three parts so people in lfg might actually consider chipping in.. arah, orrian towers, zhaitan

imagine my surprise when arena net implemented fluff content that should have been optional, yet forced the entire player community to suffer through it.. cuz, y’know.. they’ve never done that before >_>

i think they are ancient, non-draconic champions..

i love dungeon runners who insist on people having a certain amount of achievement points, who can’t take out an elite mob paired up with a regular mob unless they stack, and who require an equipment ping upon entering the dungeon.. these masters of the art of playing mmo and all their time saving – money making techniques are bound for an extra 10 minutes waiting in lfg because no one in their right mind wants to play with them and an extra 10 minutes in each dungeon sorting out their protocol complimented by an extra few minutes in every other dungeon waiting for a newly joined member to run across the dungeon because their predecessor was kicked for luring out a mob that could have been killed by 3 novices.

Most people don’t even use potions.. by the way arena net, why is the only ghost slaying potion in the game a craftable – non-tradable which costs 25 silver per potion.. The sigils for killing mobs from the more frequented dungeons cost almost nothing relative to the dungeon reward, so you could make a certain weapon and swap out the sigils each day while considering it an operating cost.

it takes roughly 6 minutes to run obsidian sanctum
it’s sad but there will always be, trying to put this delicately, immature mouthbreathers..
if you can’t find a time when the puzzle is completely empty, sometimes you can find a helpful person from the other team to party up with..
they should really consider making it an impervious zone..
there’s nothing really interesting about keeping it a pvp zone, the traps are gimmick and it is only challenging to new players.. i’d rather they just revamp it to a full scenic route

has anyone noticed that the gathering tools and finishers may be too animated for some peoples liking? i think it’s great and all, but i don’t imagine myself on a gathering run and watching the animation over and over again.. in fact, it feels better when i can get from node to node without getting bitten by mobs, i think there is a swiftness booster for that now.. anyway, i’m thinking of getting the new gathering tool but am on the fence about it.. it’d be nice if you can turn off the animations and just have a ‘regular’ un-breakable gathering tool..

also, this goes against what i just said.. but i’m [suggesting] a gathering tool that looks like a plasma cutter.. it’d be neat to have the same tool for all nodes and would let gatherers feel extra efficient.. they can implement different colored flare for each type of node.. it’d also be a bonus if it came with some neat headgear, or optional headgear while gathering..

it was ok.. i think the overall direction of the game is seriously lacking compared to what arenanet is capable of building in a short time frame.. their campaign to make sylvari and engineers interesting kind of backfired and i don’t really think anyone is overly excited about ‘season’ 2

there’s no such thing as staying in an attunement.. playing around with attunements provides functions that players really shouldn’t avoid.. there’s also some incentive to maybe spend more time in a certain attunement than others, depending on your build.. the problem with elementalist is we have 3 and 1/2 really really bad traitlines.. new grandmasters is an opportunity to buff professions across the board.. fixing elementalist always takes a backseat to gimmick..

elementalist is a souvenir profession.. i don’t know of any reasonable human being who plays this game and hasn’t given up playing hop-scotch in the elementalist traits window. so, you really have to appreciate running a staff elementalist with mediocre capabilities stemming from poor stats and a combination of very weak traits or, convince yourself that cookie cutters and pigeonholes aren’t so bad

i’d gladly trade these 5 new traits for this following image to be the arcane 5 point trait..

is this another lackluster attempt to put elem back in pvp? because they’ve been kicking that dead horse for quite awhile.. nobody wants
it’s bad enough that what the balance team shaves off from broken characters in this game actually is the amount of what elementalist does overall.. but now, as some people have noticed and already stated, they adamantly steer the profession farther into something no one wants.. and the cherry on top is they take something elementalist might actually need, and give it to professions that are already proven by any sampling of players who remotely know what they are doing to be perfectly fine in certain regards.
are they ever going to address the issue of fully ascended elementalists going fully into a certain traitline only to achieve mediocre results in what they set out to accomplish with their build? or are we to be perpetually subjugated by cookie cutter pigeonholing

 
please, it’s time for elementalist self deportation to end

i figured there would be some discontent regarding sylvari with all that is going on in the storyline.. the game already has separatists and revolutionary flyers as a dungeon drop.. etc. i’m not going to contrast any real life issues, but tyrian society is an interesting part of the game

i actually tried clicking on the small ‘x’ near the character’s image.. it works but the story doesn’t continue unless you go back and click one of those 3 cheeseball responses

also, doesn’t taimi arrive shortly after and ask “what’s so funny” ?
pretty much to convey the notion “oh, it takes the arrival of a younger one for the adults of the guild to realize they’re being less than mature”

I cringed listening to the voice actress voicing the sister (sounded like she was reading queue cards), and came to the conclusion that Anet must think we are stupid, the way they feel they must lead us by the nose to make connections.

pretty sure the voice actress who does taimi is marjory’s sister.. and possibly also the lionguard healer in gendarran.. she has amazing range and i found it spared the character who was otherwise as out of place as kasmeer’s little backstory monologue.. which was also well done.. i could be hearing wrong though, i also think braham is evon gnashblade

shuddy owns most of the gates in lion’s arch.. evon may have been the last person through before it broke down, and she is just blaming him for closing it.. though, she was complaining to get the yaks out and let people through so she could close it off.. so, maybe he did it just to be a  k i t t e n

as for martial law, i’m sure there’s plenty he could do to avoid the firing squad.. Fyr Raggedfur in bloodtide said evon could use the disaster to drive other merchants out of business.. maybe kiel is trying to commandeer blTc so what’s left of the lionguard can war profiteer

i was just listening to some funny clips of gw2 on soundcloud and stopped to listen to marionette theme {because it’s awesome} it’s good to listen to during epic battles, or even in the background while i am crafting.. it was on Maclaine Diemer’s soundcloud page and he has an arctic fox as his profile pic or whatever {i wonder if he has the mini}

escape from lion’s arch: a teardrop flame

Amidst the chaos, Korra could hear a faint cough. She had ears like a fox.
There was an aetherblade in her way. She struck it across the face with her pearl quarterstaff. This particular minion was ready to strike back with ferocity, but it was simply too late. Korra struck again, while her earthen blast launched the foe to the ground. The path was clear now. She looked behind her to make sure no one would follow. Not too far off, she could see Rox and Braham pretty much taking names.

It was an asuran, hidden in wreckage. Korra snuck into the space and lifted the debris. She must have looked frightening with her golden eyes and red hair. She used gust to open a definitive path to the nearest lionguards. Without so much as a word or a boon of swiftness, the asura took off as if it knew what to do the entire time..

Shards of wood and flaming wreckage grazed her body and armor, but this didn’t bother her. The putrid miasma was getting thicker. Korra slowly walked off to what used to be a bridge. Her staff was already holstered, it had seen enough damage. Lion’s arch was brutalized; was this its last day? The sounds of war grew numb as her pace dwindled. She fell to her knees there, at the edge of it. She didn’t even care that an aetherblade was sneaking up behind her. and as the axe moved through her neck, she became mist. The fiend kept stance, expecting her to reappear, but she didn’t. It returned to the battlefold, laughing.

apparently lots of people liked tybalt much more than i did.. i joined whispers also, only because the other orders were utilizing silly stratagems.. my character is more of a priory type, and the wolfborn make the vigil look like a bunch of  k i t t e n s

in the tower of nightmares lab, i found the seed she was making more resilient interesting.. but then again, i found the steam creatures interesting and the only thing it had to do with the plot was she reverse engineered them z_z

checking under an enormous active drill and being eviscerated is its own reward?

we should hold a fancy cat competition to cheer up the survivors of lion’s arch

i have nothing against any of the storytelling medium, but by far my favorite is the open world conversations.. i enjoy being able to read the dialogue too, above their heads or in the log, it’s all very good to me.. being able to go into the ‘talk’ panel and experience our character’s portion of a conversation, even if it’s just a simple gesture, offers more immersion than some people give it credit..
whenever it’s something peculiar and the final response is “yeah, i gotta get going..”
i’ve come to appreciate that one, and it’s conveniently voice clipped.. {it is on my main anyway, norn female} almost to the extent that i see it as a developing character trait where she typically will run off in a nonchalant manner >:p

anyway, tyria has some good immersive content and i’m glad when it is put on the frontline..    ideas are like cream, good ones rise to the top   o_o

triangulation is a system of measurements.. scarlet used All the probes to ’zero in’ on Lion’s arch.. the ones near bloodtide shook up the wurm, but i don’t think it’s integral to what she’s looking for..
i just think the skillpoint there is part of a recurring theme of dark magic and dragon corruption.. a possible prelude? it’s interesting to see several variations of that throughout tyria.. as for logical deduction of where the living story is going.. *shrugs*

y’know.. if they did decide to give out some sort of mini.. they could just make it available to {whatever person for whatever reason} a month or so before releasing it to the rest of the player community.. you can’t really argue about double-standard equality when such measures are taken.. acquisition and availability simply needs to be met on reasonable terms, so no one having to work or donate toward an item feels cheated

glitter is very formidable.. dragons can’t get it off their scales, they die of frustration

the lore speculates that she’s looking for something non-physical.. that is to say, not a dragon? so she may just be trying to disrupt the tyrian energy currents.. maybe to forestall a dragon awakening, so she can kill it in its sleep.. poetic justice for corrupting the sylvari dream so horribly

seriously though.. npc speculate that scarlet is searching for something non-physical and magical.. we have to assume that what’s driving scarlet is so horrific that ceara is willing to sacrifice hundreds, if not thouasands, of people to confront it..

i sincerely appreciate that, i’m sure everyone finds dr. house inspiring as much as i do ._.
although, taimi is a much better role model
