i was researching lore the past few days and then i come onto this thread and after glancing through this page i just feel ill stricken.. you should all be so very proud of yourselves.. and i hope arenanet has the decency to delete nearly all of this thread

a world boss and an event boss is plenty enough for me.. as long as they keep to their word this time and unfold this ‘living story’ in a less cartoonish fashion.. and i do enjoy some cartoons, so i’m saying a lot with that statement

steam creatures, unknown origin.. like to hang out near the steam mechagate, which is supposedly a gateway to an alternate ‘dimension.’ have been spotted near the thaumanova disaster area, a disfunctional asura gate near a thaumacore energy source, various locations during scarlet invasions, and near said mechagate in lornar’s pass..

i for one am simply appreciative they allowed flame sword cast while moving and am thoroughly glad i don’t get murdered while casting it anymore

non-confirmable i heard 1/30 people guessed the conclusion
and that the people who did not guess, ‘said they were crazy’
i also read, ‘confirmed’ that living story wasn’t optimally implemented
so if we don’t have a good guess now, we should wait until next week

also, wvw is lovely.. i hope my server gets more mists defenders

they recently admitted that scarlet was good story with poor implementation
the next few updates are supposed to recap and conclude in a manner that whatever happens shouldn’t feel ridiculous

i liked clockwork invasions, except they became a champ loot farm.. my waypoint loading screens aren’t that bad.. dunno about everyone else

All the people I know and play with (many of them veterans, playing since beta, not noobs like me) just ignored the new teq since day one.

yearp, that’d be mee.. they went ahead and implemented previously unfinished content that should have just been scrapped for something less convoluted
arenanet’s two settings: babysteps and bull in a china-shop.. hopefully these events will be a nice even pace for everyone.. tequatl was just too big a change for an already known world boss..  Also, the watchknight puppet isn’t permanent.. i hope we don’t have whining about that like we did fireworks.. they ran those fireworks every few hours for 3 days Straight

and people were wondering what it was
sadly, i haven’t followed any living stories too closely lately
so i’m wondering if it’s known what these things are now

the durmand’s main base is in lornar’s pass and their current leader is Gixx, but he is already established.. supposedly scarlet mingled with the inquest, and unlike the other alliances, i don’t think she can easily outsmart them.. asurans were driven to the surface by primordus, i wouldn’t be surprised if there was an asuran working along scarlet as a means to an end.. a somewhat malevolent eir stegalkin type, if you will.. but less maniacal than scarlet

there’s nothing intricate leading me to believe it’s anything other than a molten coffer..

dragon sketch, i was thinking bloody pale tree.. and yes, what is all this red grawl paint splattered everywhere? are we raising the maturity level of the game along with adding more depth and intrigue? about time and finally, that ‘glow’ just seems to be ambient lighting.. it does however fall upon the parchment that is ?purposefully obstructed

she kills people, on a large scale to the extent at which 1) she could never be trusted 2) nor could she be controlled

the only possible way she could be utilized as a story element in future installments would be for her to Literally be chained down 24/7 ultimately serving as cliche {moderately helpful/entertaining} passive aggressive villainous commentary

i recently switched to cleric
anything in the 800+ healing range is helpful to your group in wvw or low level dungeons
here’s mine, i’m not an arcanist and stats are a bit more selfish.. can always throw in a cleric staff to punch up that heal i mentioned..

do you know how many hundreds of gold i’ve lost because some items become more available over time.. my main is a norn, you wouldn’t hear me whining if everyone started running around in gem bought eir stegalkin armor.. this game is only as broken as its community, i hope light armor skins become the priority for awhile

when searching a particular, i’ve noticed as i go from page to page.. that many of the results, a particular item, is repeated.. and it’s not the same Type of item or Similarly named item, it’s the Same Item with the same specs, offers, and orders and everything

why is it like this?

hugely disappointing, it works in theory but if they are going to offer real world money items then sell them for real world money not gems.. and if they want to make it some seasonal thing, then offer 3 ‘tri colored keys’ or something with corresponding redemption codes.. each containing something trivial but all 3 being used to open some actual prize at some given time, after wintersday for example. as it stands, some people are feeling frustrated over the credit issues

seriously though, we’ll probably see it in there again eventually
especially if new storyline items arrive and they could be so kind as to offer the previous ones as discounted

spent over 4k gems last month.. other people started getting their gifts in the game-mail
this is just another nail in the coffin, i spend hours on this game and refuse to spend real world money on it until ArenaNet starts treating their casual gamers with the same amount of consideration as they do their flavor of the month cash-crop customers

everything this game was supposed to be, it isn’t
you can tell there are people at arenanet implementing things to fix the problems we’re all noticing, but it’s always a back seat to pacifying the cash-crop crowd of customers..

the best example i can think of is gw2 as an end of the line railway boomtown, it may seem quick and prosperous, but if the game continues to lack depth, the more dignified players are just going to move on

how do i feel about gw2 right now?   fingers crossed

ArenaNet is very ‘agenda’ driven and it’s hard to tell whether their shortcomings have fallen under construction or strategy.. as customers the best you can do is try keeping a rational line of communication open =\

anyway, that particular q&a.. very PR/Business driven.. i’ve heard a Lot of that the past year.. it’s very disheartening because i get the feeling there are some talented and dedicated workers at arenanet, yet it seems like there is some stock portfolio gremlin ready to jump out of the shadows and smack anyone who ‘gets out of line’
it’s like a ray of hope and sunshine every time i see something that isn’t so scripted..

q3: will living story and lore implementation slow down because as it currently stands it seems rushed, and about as intriguing as a scooby doo mystery? it’s a total back seat to event this, achievement chest that

i must have been ported to the far side of the mists where only skill-less elementalists play because all i ever see in wvw is them getting facerolled.. you have your bunker elem that never kills anything or some bursty types which is the same story unless they manage to completely blind side someone.. and let’s get the praise for staff elem out of the way because it’s only so useful

elem was never phenomenal, it had a ‘good’ build that was highly utilized in pvp.. for the sake of everyone else, the other portions of the game, and mmo’s in general i feel it’s pertinent to establish that elem has always been ‘good’ depending on how dedicated you play the profession.. its irrelevance the past several months when considering the other professions speaks volumes for itself
